Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Perfection!!!

To say this resort was amazing is simply not enough to do it justice. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Check-in was effortless and since we arrived well before check-in time we were offered a hospitality suite while we waited. After a quick bite to eat we were greeted at the bar by our Butler and Tocayo David Castillo. David went out of his way our entire trip to make sure we were taken care of. The personal service he gave was second to none. From bubble baths, to champa [... read more]gne, to a private romantic dinner David made sure that this vacation was one that we will never forget. We stayed in room 1203 which has one of the best views in the whole resort. Nothing but beach and ocean from our large balcony. The resort itself is breathtaking and so very clean. The food is outstanding with Hunter steakhouse and Vespa being our favourites the steak was one of the best I have had and the chicken Parmesan was just like my Italian nonna used to make. The drinks were always good and the service at the beach and pool was excellent. The entertainment staff especially Luis were incredible, taking the time to get to know guests and making sure to always add that personal touch. The evening entertainment was also above par with our personal favourite being 80’s and 90’s night. We had a chance to enjoy a couples massage at the spa and the service there was also exceptional. I would definetly recommend the Diamond Club, well worth the money for the personalized experience. We will certainly be return guests soon and were ecstatic to find out that we can request our favourite butler David Castillo when we return. Thank you Chic and staff for an absolutely magical vacation that we won’t forget. Can’t wait to be back again soon.

TRS Cap Cana Hotel: Beautiful resort with SUBPAR food :(

We truly thought that the room and resort looked beautiful. The food; however, was truly subpar. There were really only 2 restaurants open all the time with the same food. We were honestly sick of breakfast and lunch selections everyday. Dinner was not very appetizing with the exception of the first night where I planned dinner and the last night we had Japanese. PLEASE invest in better food and actually have an a la carte menu because waiting for a print out to tell me what restaurant is availa [... read more]ble THAT night is frustrating and not the level of customer service I expected at a supposedly 5 star establishment. Please do better!

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Returning next year

Ample choices in restaurant's, and you can return to your favorite one anytime. There are free activities during the day, and live theatrical musical shows every evening. Staff always has a smile and hoping you will join in. Suites are big, hairdryers and an iron for your personal touch up on clothes. No worries about having enough towels. Loved the cafe shop and balli beds on the beach...tuti fruity your the best!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great Resort

The resort is great, food is excellent, waiters and waitresses were awesome, pool and beach is beautiful, pool entertainers were fantastic. The grounds are well kept. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the entertainment in the lobby finished at 10:30pm every night and the bar in the lobby closed at 11:00 pm every night, so if you wanted later entertainment you had to go to the other resorts and the staff isn't able to print off schedules of what is going on at the other resorts.

Riu Naiboa: Wonderful trip

My daughter and I did indeed enjoy our trip to the Dominion Republic with tripcentral.ca. The resort is beautiful - the grounds are kept in immaculate condition. The customer service was great. We so enjoy the wide variety of fruit and vegetables that were offered for each meal as well as 2 or 3 meat dishes. Food was plentiful but it grieved us at the waste, but the resort has no control over that. The only thing was we wished that there would be a designated area for smoking. Occidental Punta Cana: great resort

this was a very nice hotel, rooms were large, very clean, ceramic showers, the beds and pillows were out of this world amazing. food was good, very acceptable. Grounds were always clean, people were very nice, drinks were good and strong.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Good Resort

The hotel is nice and clean. It could use a few updates and serve better food at the restaurants. They need to not hustle people with the membership. Overall a good enough experience. People are very friendly.

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Excellent value

Wonderful entertainment, service and food choices. Best we have had! But Nosey rooms, rooms echo, wooden doors slam, stay away from stair case rooms. Sunwing excursion good to Saona island, but long bus ride picking up from other hotels (2 hours one way and told 40 mins). We were not given the $100 spa credit promised when booked.

Blau Natura Park Resort: Blau Resort in Punta Cana

Great rooms with view of ocean or pool. Food good. Ocean was warm and right out your backdrop. Weather good for October. Lots to do. Vendors could not get to close to you. You had to go to them or not. All workers were happy and polite. Shows were fun.

TRS Turquesa: 2nd trip to the Royal Suites Turquesa

We stayed at The Royal Suites Turquesa in Punta Cana from Oct. 1 to 12. This was our second visit to this Resort as we stayed there about 6 years ago. We were excited to stay there again but after the first day in our room our excitement dwindled. There were several problems in our room. Most were solved within a few days except for the water dripping from the ceiling to the floor in the Toilet room and one other spot. It was from the condensation from the air conditioning but instead of  [... read more]just talking about it they should of done something. The one thing that was consistent was the inconsistency. The mini bar service was hit and miss (no service at all or only getting half the items) as was the nightly turn down service. The service in all of the restaurants that we visited was either good or bad and it changed from day to day. The maid did a very good job most of the time but I noticed the floor under the bed was getting dustier and dustier (I could see the dust while sitting outside looking in). Since we had a swim up room there was bar service with staff coming to our patio for our order. Sometimes there were 2 people ready to serve you but in the early afternoon there were hours when we didn’t see anyone. There were a couple of items that were consistent. The timeshare or should I say Vacation people were everywhere ready to pounce on you. We decided to attend one session when we were told what we would receive a hat, two t-shirts and each a 30 minute massage and it would only take an hour. During the presentation another hour was added so it was now up to 2 hours. After 3 hours we decided that was enough and we didn’t even hear about the prices as that would take another hour. We did get what was offered to us but we heard from another couple that they didn’t receive all of the gifts. The spa people were also everywhere wanting you to buy an expensive but very good massage. If their prices were more reasonable, I’m sure more people would have used their services. and The food on whole was good but they also had the DR spin on what the food should be like. With this spin, it was hard to try and figure out what the food was. We were to have a butler but never saw this person the entire 11 days. We also didn't see the rep from the travel agency we used since she did not show up for our meeting and we had to search for our return flight time as her book wasn't kept with all of the other travel agencies. We had a good time but I don’t think we will come back to this resort. The first time it was very good but the level of service has dropped and there are so many other great resorts to see.

Riu Republica: Amazing resort

I enjoyed this resort. There was a lot to do and something for everyone. The entertainment staff was great but I feel like the shows and night entertainment needs a boost. Beach is stunning and rooms and resort were always clean.

Occidental Punta Cana: Amazing resort

Me and my husband booked the package to occidental resort as our honeymoon treat. Overall, we LOVE the place. Food is great, buffet changes almost every meal, staffs are helpful especially Elizabeth from the front desk, Linn who’s helping to book excursions and Leonardo from the bar. This trip was beyond our expectation and we enjoyed to the fullest. Never ever miss the show occidental presents every night! It’s defintely 5-star ranking shows! Stunningly amazing shows. And the activities a [... read more]nd dancing with staffs were so fun as well! Would definitely recommend to people. The only negative part of our trip: 1. It’s a package with air transat airline. The representative of transat at occidental was extremely rude and impolite. He didn’t show up the first day we arrived and we wanna arrange our schedule. We booked three excursions from the resort and next day the transat guy immediately changed his attitude to us and said we SHOULD book with transat and was even suggesting we should go ask our money back to book with him. We understand it’s about commission fee he could get but we hope air transat can pay attention to this behavior because he ruined our mood that day with his rudeness. It is not supposed to be like this. 2. Everything, mostly at occidental is inclusive. But of course nothing is free. You pay for what you get. The a la Carte restaurant wasn’t good. I waited 45 mins in the seafood restaurant after I ordered. And they promised to give us honey moon package but was a very unpleasant experience for us.

The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana: The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana Experience

Our family had a fabulous stay at The Reserve at Paradisus from Oct 5th to Oct 12th. We were very impressed by the all amenities offered at this resort. Upon arrival we were greeted promptly and warmly by the hotel staff. Our check-in was very quick and efficient. The resort overall is modern, clean and well maintained. The landscaping is lovely as hotel grounds are maintained daily. We stayed in a one bedroom Master suite. This suite was quite large and spacious with a separate dini [... read more]ng and living area (with pullout sofa). The room was clean and well maintained. The minibar was well stocked with plenty of beverages and snacks. The turndown service in the evenings was a nice touch. All Villas at The Reserve are close to the pool. The resort has two pools – a large main pool and another one for kids. Both pools are big, clean and well maintained with plenty of cabana/sun beds that surround them. Kids Club, which is located right beside the kid’s pool, was excellent and safe. The staff is wonderful and they truly enjoy spending time with the little ones. The Kids Club has many daily and nightly activities planned for the kids, ensuring that they never get bored. My 3 year old had a blast and frequently asked if she could spend some time there throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend a visit to the YHI spa. Very relaxing and professional and the spa services are wonderful. The beach was beautiful and only a 5-10 minute walk from the resort. However, you could also take the trolley as it frequently travels to and from the beach. The Reserve has an exclusive area on the beach with many cabanas/sun beds. They also have a bar in this area that offers plenty of drinks and snacks. For those that need to stay connected, the WIFI signal was strong throughout the resort – beach included! The food was good and fresh, however, we would have liked to see more variety. It gets pretty repetitive seeing the same food options daily. We ate at 5 a la carte restaurants – Bana, The Grill, Vento, Fuego, and Mole. The service was great at all the restaurants, however, Vento, Bana, and Mole stood out for us in terms of the food they served. Nightly entertainment was a lot of fun, with different shows offered on a nightly basis. Lion King, Micheal Jackson – King of Pop, and Cirque stood out among the 7 shows we saw. The service is exceptional. The staff is very courteous and attentive and would always greet us when we walked by. They pay extra attention to the little ones always greeting them with a big smile and hug or high five. All staff was excellent. However, we would like to give special recognition to the following people: Jonathan Medina and Wander Rua at the Reserve Pool area are very attentive and always checked in on us to make sure we had drinks in our hands. They always made an effort to say “Hola” to our daughter. Maria Ester and Angela at the YHI Spa are incredible. We have visited different Spas around the world and these two ladies are definitely at the top of our list for providing us with a massage that not only focused on our problem areas but was relaxing as well. Helen, Jack, Melissa and team from the Kids Club did an excellent job of taking good care of our 3 year old daughter. She really enjoyed her time at the Kid Zone. Anthony Cidat, Junior Sheri and Jose Decomp at Gabi/Vento -their great service and attentiveness made our dining experience that much better. Santos and team at The Reserve Beach Area always greeted us with a smile and made sure we were enjoying our time at the beach. Germania (aka Naomi) , who was running the towel service as well as the pool and beach activities was a pleasure to see on a daily basis as she was always upbeat and smiling and super sweet to our daughter. Our concierge, Erika Trinidan (Building #37), was very attentive to our needs ensuring a comfortable stay in our room. She made our daughter’s day by surprising her with a bubble bath full of balloons. Overall, a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend experiencing an all-inclusive vacation at The Reserve.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Resort was ok

This resort is OK nothing wow. When we got to the hotel we upgraded our room to swim up which cost almost 500 Canadian it rained three out of the seven days we stayed there and could not even use the swim up pool there was so much debris in it. However staff are really nice and food is good. Jose help us with a few hiccups we had at the hotel I give this hotel a 7 out of 10.

Punta Cana Princess: excellent resort

We have just spent 2 weeks in PC Princess. We have arrived just after the hurricane and were anxious what we are going to find. But everything was excellent. Palm leaves umbrellas were destroyed by the hurricane but they were quickly reconstructed on the beach. This is a smaller resort and it was not overcrowded. The food and the personnel were first-rate. The rooms were very clean. There are few points which could be improved as: the room was often cleaned late after 4 pm, there should be m [... read more]ore garbage bins and ashtrays on the beach, the à la carte restaurants were often closed.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing Resort!!

We really loved the resort. Lits of options for swimming pools or beach areas. Food was great in all areas. The room was really nice too. Bed could be more comfortable but, not the worst I've slept in.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Not worth the money Grand Bahai Principe Jamaica

The best thing about this resort was the sun and water. The hotel needs upgrades (when you walked out from the hotel by the gym, all you could smell was sewer). There is no air conditioning in the hallways and the air conditioning in the rooms smelled. When you leave the room, they want you to take your key card out to turn off all the power, so that means no air conditioning in your room while you are out in the hot sun all day. Did not find the staff very friendly, felt like we were an imp [... read more]osition to them. They never smiled. Meals were pretty good but we had an infant in our party and had to continually ask for a high chair. I felt it was over priced for what you got, have had better service in Dominican and Mexico. The beach by the kids park was great but the other beach by the pool was dangerous. Was full of rocks and cut my feet a couple times.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: The restful experience that I really needed !!

I must say, the best part of this resort is the staff....they make it happen for their guests!. Also, I was quite impressed with the Filet Steak at the French Restaurant....the meat was imported from Argentina, who have the most tender beef....due to "lazy beef"....from the flat lands. As for the buffet restaurants, one can always find something they will truly like due to the diversity. As of now, my favorite fruit is "Papaya". Thanks to the Sunscape team!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful Hotel but will not be returning

The hotel is gorgeous. The grounds are beautiful. We went there to relax and enjoy our family time. But we are constantly being pressured to buy something. Jewellery an excursion a membership. I can understand the occasional sale push but it was constant. The knowledge of the drinks were inconsistent with the different bars so we actually wound up going to the one bar that knew what they were doing. And when you would try and explain it to the bartender they would look at you as if you were n [... read more]othing. Needless to say my family will not be returning to Bahia Principe for our future holidays. The folks at trip central were amazing. Their constant care and consistently was incredible and we will be booking with them again

Occidental Caribe: Amazing Resort

Very well designed with excellent landscaping. Beach areas spacious and sandy. Waters calm and worm. Many pools with lots of activities. Large theatre and many shows. Fresh foods with variety in Buffet and restaurants(Sea food , steak, Mexican). Clean room and very good room service.Nice staff all around.
