Ocean El Faro: Very nice resort!

Something to do for everyone! We really enjoyed our stay at Ocean El Faro recently. Food and service were excellent! Disappointed that route 66 is not open for dinner. Beach is beautiful however not comparable to other punta cana resorts.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: A different experience!

The accomodation is great. The room is very clean and well supplied. The ground garden, sand by the beach is well maintained. Excellent service in the buffet or restaurant. The sand on the beach is very fine, beautiful to walk everyday. However, the water is brown in color due to the river nearby. The ground staff are doing their best to keep the weeds and debris away from the swimming areas.

Impressive Premium Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort

The hotel, grounds, pools and staff were wonderful at Impressive Premium Resort. The food could do with improvement, I personally enjoyed the Japanese restaurant best out of the a la carte selections. Overall was an awesome vacation!

Emotions by Hodelpa Juan Dolio: Great resort!

First off, the food was very good! Lots of variety and seldom repetitious. The staff were very friendly and looked after any concerns or questions immediately. The toilet wouldn't flush one day and the maid informed maintenance and he was there and had it fixed in 15 mins. They seemed to genuinely care about the clientele. The grounds were well looked after and the beach was cleaned up every morning. The only negative I had was the speil by elite for travel deals with Hodelpa in other parts [... read more] of the world. The original concierge and another both stated it was a 90 minute presentation but could leave after 20 mins and still get a free massage. Why not, so the main guy ( name escapes me) was very insistent we sign and stay for 90 minutes or don't waste their time. I said I am on vacation, I am relaxing not being forced to sit for 90 mins if I am not interested. I said the guys said I could leave in 20 minutes. No, that's not how it works! Well I said they need to get on the same page then. His assistant gave us massage vouchers for the trouble regardless. However, here is the catch...the "free" 15 minute massage you receive is AFTER you have a 1 hour massage which is $85 USD. All in all though, I was extremely happy with my stay there.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Loved it!

This is a beautiful resort!! Loved almost everything about it. Beach most days was fantastic... some days a bit of sea weed but other days crystal clear. Food was delicious. Restaurant unfortunately didn’t take reservations so sometimes there was a wait.. if we didn’t wanna wait we just headed off to the buffet. Rooms were large and clean... there is no bad view room as they all face towards the pools area. On our way to the beach they stopped us almost everyday asking us to come for their breakfast to listen to their speech .. no thanks means no thanks but they don’t get it. Overall amazing vacation!

Grand Memories Punta Cana: Great Water Park

The hotel was nice , the rooms were well equipped and modern, pool area was good. The water park area is very good for the kids and adults. Limited with food snacks locations during the lunch hour at the Grand Memories but very good food areas at the Royal Hotel . We knew before were booked the hotel that the beach was not near but had the understanding it was an easy walk. Better to stay at the sister hotel " Royal Hotel" if you want the beach and more action.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great vacation!

I emailed prior requesting a villa and a la carte reservations, and Bolivar was so obliging. Check in with Edwin was smooth and we were in our room in minutes. Manuel at Piscis was great! He was always there with a smile and was so entertaining! We absolutely loved him! Arcealais at the pool bar was fantastic.(I apologize if I spelled your name wrong mi amiga) Our wonderful driver, who we just knew as Hola Coca Cola, was so much fun and always took us where we wanted to go! Our room was clean every day when we returned, so thank you to wonderful housekeeping staff! Our favourite a la carte was the Garden Grill. Amazing food and service. We had two minor issues with our room but were addressed quickly and the technicians were great! The grounds were beautifully kept. We spent most days at the main pool and staff were constantly cleaning and making sure everyone was well taken care of. The beach staff worked endlessly making sure all the seaweed was raked and cleaned up. We had some rain but that did not take away from our vacation because of the wonderful staff! I was there with my daughter and we always felt safe and well taken care of. It was my daughter’s first tropical and I am so glad it was at GBPB because she had an absolutely amazing time. We will definitely return! Thank you to everyone for an absolutely amazing week!!

Riu Republica: Rui Republica

Had an amazing vacation at the Riu Republica. Would recommend this resort to friends and family. Great balance between partying and relaxing. Beach was incredible as well as the service. We can’t wait to go back next year

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Top quality resort!

This resort was amazing. The rooms were clean and up to date. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. The grounds, walkways, gardens were all perfect. The food was awesome. Large drink selections. Was a top quality resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Amazing Resort

Fantasia Bahia Principe in Punta Cana was absolutely beautiful, very clean and food/drinks were great! My only recommendation is that anyone bringing teenagers I would select another resort. Fantasia definitely catered to the younger age group. Even with a teen section in the bottom of hotel who wants to send their kids where they cant see them on another level. With such a large facility I see no reason why pool tables couldn't relocated on the main level where there was endless seating areas n [... read more]ever filled. No Complaints other than my teens were bored and the pool was very crowded on one side where the pool bar was located. Please consider in future upgrades to wrap the pool bar all around.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Great Vacation, but not resort

The grounds are beautiful and clean, the room was under furnished; tv was not working well, no iron, no coffee maker ; safe box was not included in the package - that’s extra $; food and drinks were mediocre; pool dirty; but beach was very good. Stuff was friendly enough ( if you tip). I will not be going back to that resort. Not a 4 star resort.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Senator Puerto Plata Spa Resort - we give it 5 stars

We started in room 511 and got an upgrade to the Luxury Ocean View and stayed in room 228. The room was brand new and definitely worth the extra paid. Plush robes and turn down service nightly and fresh towels twice daily if needed. The food at the buffet, Italian and Steak house was exceptional. Everything we ate was delicious! We visited the café and gelato shop on Tropical Avenue almost daily and had coffee, cookies and gelato which was included in the all inclusive price. Really nice  [... read more]touch! The gym is well equipped with all new equipment and the personal trainer, Wendy, is at your service. There are 2 beach areas; one small one with no wind, loungers and quiet and the other is a long stretch of beach which connects to Playa Buchata Resort which we had access to and also part of the all inclusive. The beaches were cleaned daily by the hardworking staff. The grounds were well looked after and the workers didn't stop cleaning. We had a fantastic week and will be going back really soon. Highly recommend this resort!

Ocean El Faro: Excellent resort

Ocean El Faro was amazing!!!! Everything we wanted. Room was great food was amazing. The best part was the swim out room!!! We loved it!!! The one thing that we did not appreciate was how the H10 guys were. Very aggressive and selling tactics are shameful!!! Other than that it was great!!!

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Great resort

The beach was good and staff were good as well. Accommodations were ok. The big difference is we were vip (regular) as there are a couple higher vip packages. But even if you weren’t vip the place is good. We were able to enter the vip beach and bar area was quite cool. There was a difference in food and drinks. Overall we would visit again.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Best resort I’ve been to! I will be coming back!

I could go on and on about how this resort has no flaws what so ever. From the service, to the waiters, to the animators, to the cleanliness, to the best food I’ve ever had in my life in an all-inclusive. If I can, i would come back here every year. Fantasia is a perfect combination of variety, entertainment and elegance. Perfect for adults alone and families. The entire staff is extremely helpful and so patient. The à la carte restaurants are delicious, especially the Italian one. There is a [... read more] very nice kids club and a play area near the dining tables for children. I did a professional photo shoot with tropic one photo and the result was amazing. Today, I went snorkeling with my 4 year old on the why not party boat from 2 to 6pm. We had the time of our lives and the entire crew was so attentive to our needs. I litteraly am having the best week ever and so is my daughter. Yes there was a bit of rain in the first 2-3 days but now the weather is just right. I highly recommend this resort and I will be coming back. Thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcomed !

Excellence El Carmen: The 'Excellence' Name is Well Earned

My wife and I picked EEC for our honeymoon based on various extremely positive reviews online, as well as recommendations from a couple of travel agents. Everyone I spoke with who had been here absolutely raved about, well, everything! Location: The property is absolutely beautiful, no matter where you go. Everything is very clean and tidy. The beach is gorgeous and well groomed; easy to walk up and down. Fantastic fitness centre! We didn't make it to the gym as much as we wanted, but had no [... read more] issues completing our workouts while we were there; it had everything needed to maximize our sessions. The main pool area was never obnoxious with music or rowdy folks, and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Room: Our room (Rooftop Terrace w/Plunge Pool) was incredible. The first room we were in was literally right next to a construction site (not ideal for a honeymoon), but the front desk staff (Enrique in our case) went above and beyond to assist us with sorting out options. We ended up keeping the same type of room and just moved to a different area; it was perfect and so much better. Incredible views right out to the ocean, even though we were at the 'front' of the property! Having the pool was great to cool off with when we got too hot. The second bed wasn't quite as plush as the first, but we still slept great each night. Food/Drink: The food was delicious at every restaurant, the staff were always friendly and willing to help, and the drinks were always cold and tasty. > I didn't know the extent going in, but I will be packing differently for the next time we go to an Excellence resort. It's important to note that you will need some more 'formal' clothing for eating dinner at nearly all of the restaurants; I had only brought 1 pair of dress pants not knowing this ahead of time, so they got a lot of use. Collared shirts are expected as well as closed-toe shoes for guys; ladies can wear dresses/skirts/pants with heels or more formal sandals. It turned out we actually really liked this approach, it was fun to see everyone get a little dressed up each night (some more than others, though, haha) to go out and have a great evening. Activities: We did the water aerobics one day, and 'Black Coffee No Sugar No Cream' as he called himself, was very fun and engaging as an instructor. We attended a couple of shows in the theatre, which were awesome. We spent a good bit of time at Sports Bar playing pool, which was a nice break as well. Final Thoughts: All in all, we don't think we could have chosen a better location for our honeymoon, and we can't wait to go back! We'll be checking out EPM next, but we'll return to EEC for sure!

Paradise Playa Dorada: Classic and relaxing, exactly what we needed.

When we first arrived we were offered a trial day at another resort from the airport, while the other resort definitely had a lot going for it, the atmosphere at Grand Paradise was much more relaxing we found. The staff was incredibly helpful and entertaining and you could tell they really put their heart into everything they did.

Riu Republica: Good place for young people

We had a good time here, but it’s a party resort. You can find a quiet side too if you want to relax, the beach is amazing but a little bit wild. Food was okay, you can find something to eat. I’m Not sure I’d come back since I like the previous hotel we used more so probably I’ll use those hotels in the future.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Awesome time!

Amazing staff, very friendly and accommodating. Clean, comfortable and had a great time, food was ok but plenty to choose from and entertainment was for everyone! We will definitely go back there! The only downside was the garbage on the beach but we did our part and helped pick up water bottles and trash to help keep our ocean clean.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: The good and the bad to look out for Memories Splash

May 2019 Love the food at first; but repetitive after 3 days; watch out for invites for breakfast; they want to try to get you to buy timeshares. Don’t be afraid to just say “no thank you” walk away! Entertainment was good; weather was beautiful; but pls use the highest level of sunscreen. Don’t buy theirs. You’ll get a burn for sure. Kids enjoyed the kids club, but lack of a/c in their club. The room service took 40min to bring the kids their snacks to the room. Also; the [... read more] maid just opened the door without knocking. Watch out for them. She came in to bring a face towel at 6:30. Be alert and always keep the door note “ do not disturb on door knob” Beach was nice and clean; just a few guys selling on the beach. Enjoy, but also be alert of your things.
