Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Wow wow wow! Jaw dropping experience!

We just returned from this resort two days ago. This was the best resort I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to Cancun, Dominican and Cuba. Pros: Beach, lots of chairs, the workers always found chairs from somewhere no matter what time you arrived. Shout out to Carlos for always finding chairs for people and Carlos our beach waiter for always getting us drinks. You would finish a drink and Carlos would already have another to put down for you. Amazing service and always had a kind word for y [... read more]ou, was never rushed. A lot of rocks in the water but we did find one spot to go into which was sand all the way out. It was to the right of the flag at the main bridge to the beach. Room, I can’t say enough, we had a butler in our 1 bedroom master suite who made our dinner reservations. We had a fridge fully re-stocked daily with pop, water, beer, juice, milk, cereal bars, chips, m&ms and Oreos. Soaker tub inside and a jacuzzi for 2 outside on our balcony. King size bed just like home in our bedroom. Don’t worry about bringing anything but your clothes, they have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, manicure set, suntan lotion 50spf, bug repellent, hand cream, body lotion, and the list goes on. Plenty of clean towels always. The room and resort was always spotless. Restaurants/food, 6 star gourmet food! You name it you can get it here, and it’s a-m-a-z-I-n-g. Everything is. I had steak better than The Keg. Our favourite was lapalapa. The buffet we only ate at for breakfast, there are so many restaurants here some you need a reservation others no. Bars, lots of places to get a drink, lots of nightclubs but we weren’t really interested in this but did check out a few. One thing missing is a bar near the front with a lobby especially when you arrive or waiting to leave at checkout. Service, amazing service they could teach other resorts how to treat guests. You feel like every worker you meet is genuinely happy to greet you. They always ask if you have any allergies before ordering, get your drinks for you at the beach and around the pools and so much more. This trip was just my husband and I to celebrate my 50th birthday. They had a bottle of wine and cheese plate the day before my birthday and on my birthday a large balloon character, bottle of champagne on ice and birthday cake for me! Cons: check in and check out was very disorganized and needs to be corrected as it’s the first and last impression one has of the resort. We landed at 730pm but it was 11:15 before we were checked in. The bus ride was only 45 minutes from the airport but it took a long time for the bus to leave the airport and drop off people at two other resorts before us and 2 families were dropped off at Paradisus la esmarelda. We arrived at the front of the resort but we needed to go to family concerige check in and were told to wait at the front a golf cart would take us next, but no they took the 2 other families before us so we walked to checkin. A very long day made even longer unnecessarily by this disorganization at checkin. Of course all the restaurants were closed by 11:00 so our only option was room service which was fine but it took till 1:30 am to get the food! Check out was the worst ever, we called for them to get our luggage and left to checkout. We had requested hospitality suite use at the end of the day as we were at the resort till 6pm. When I went to use the suite at 4pm I was told whoever made a mistake and booked us for the next day! Fortunately we did get to use it but for a shorter time period. Our luggage was missing from the front so we had to track it down and my husband believes they never bothered to get it from the room which is pretty frustrating when you are ready to leave the resort. Next year we plan to return to this resort with our 3 daughters. We did not do any excursions, instead we rented a car which was very easy to do and get around, we drove down into Tulum to the ruins, Grand Cenote and stopped at Akumal Beach to swim with turtles. I will try and book at Paradisus other locations in future. We were very happy with our travel agents recommendation! If you book here you will not be disappointed!

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Amazing Resort

This resort had everything you would want. Beautiful long white sand beaches. Lots of chairs on the beach and around the pools. Great variety of food and plenty of it. Resort kept very clean, we where very please with the services.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great Resort !

Can't complain about this resort. Believe it is rated a 5 star and it deserves it. The grounds, pools, restaurants, shuttles and staff are grade A. We've been to Mexico around 18 times over 40 years and would rate this resort at the top of our list. Would and will go back to it next year.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Resort

It's not on the beach and it's about 1.5 hour drive from the airport, but otherwise this is a great resort. Sian Kaan is fairly small but you have access to the other 3 Bahia Principe resorts on the property. The tram to the beach takes less than 10 minutes and the trams are always running so you never have to wait long. Our room was very nice and the overall service and meals were excellent. Would certainly recommend Sian Kaan.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great resort and the most fabulous holiday

Excellent services...Room was impeccable, food was fantastic and always fresh. Beach facilities was pare great. The employees at this resort are what have made all my stays so enjoyable. The staff is very friendly and helpful and always interested to hear about your day and greet you with a smile! I also enjoy the food at this resort and it has a great variety and even the buffet is phenomenal. The beach was beautiful. We would to thank our two Beach Bulters Enrique and Carlos for there service with a smile. Been going to Hideaway every year since it open and always looked forward to meeting up with Carlos and catching up with the last year. Everything as this resort was beyond my expectations. Food ,Service, rooms, property 100% wonderful highly recommend this resort.

Hotel Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort: 2nd time around

We came back for a second visit with our 3 boys and again had a blast! We found the new ventus addition to the el cid very nice and the new buffet area excellent. We were impressed last year and even more so this year seeing little things being maintained and upgraded. Marina El Cid is a fantastic family resort and we're looking forward to coming back next year again!

Selection Riviera Cancun: Great resort

Sensatori Azual is a wonderful small resort with less than 500 rooms. Hotel was more than expected. Apart from the cleaniest of rooms and all facilities (ie washrooms around pool and restaurants this resort is fantastic. All restaurants except Mexican were gourmet inspired. The Azual group need to improve on the menu and facility at the Mexican restaurant. We enjoyed spending a week here. The grounds were well taken care off. The staff was friendly and the rooms were also well taken care. Could have done a bit better job on cleaning the beach area every morning

Beautiful time spent thanks to the wonderful crew in the hotel, they have excellent service, there are 8 wonderful restaurants that are worth visiting and you want to come back every day. A lot of attractions for children and for couples during the day. 4 swimming pools to choose from a quiet zone but also a swimming pool with bar and music. Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Wonderful wonderful wonderful

Title says it all Great food, wonderful staff, friendly and helpful. Alexandro on the beach, towel person at the pool by Mexican restaurant great great. Beach boy and life guard in same area pleasure to meet. Waiters in buffet great. Buffet had amazing food - fresh, tasty and so much variety. Little Creperie has a great salad and chicken caeser sandwich and we went there twice for those. Third time it was so bad that we left most of it. Not sure what happened there...some momentary glitch perhaps, since the sandwich ordered by people who came after us looked good again. That one came after we complained to the friendly waiter and he talked to the kitchen staff. Speaks volumes about how they care that you have a good experience.We would go again to little creperie as it was that good those two times. Greeters at the restaurant doors could relax a bit and let people sit where they like at available tables. It feels that they were sometimes on “power trip”. It seems that lots of writing here went on “criticism” but it is with good intentions and with hopes to improve this almost perfect place. With all said we loved loved loved this place. Go there you won’t be disappointed, or any possible disappointment will be so minor that it won’t affect you or ruin your holiday. There is just that much great here!

It is a location that provided something for everyone With therefore pools it provided a location for everyone from being quiet to a rowdy party area There was lots of entertainment throughout the day that you could join in and The stage productions at night were current and fresh If the opportunity arose I’m sure I would go again

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Nice resort, excellent service and good times

We traveled the week of Nov 27th for a 7 nights stay. This was our 2nd stay at this resort. The resort is beautiful, clean and well kept. I was pleasantly surprised by the beach, the 1st time we traveled to this resort a few years ago we could not swim at all, too many waves, corals, rocks...This time the water was calmer and the ocean floor was sandy with lots of space to walk without getting hurt by corals and rocks, did not even have to wear water shoes! We purchased a special package "Club Imperial..." and to be honest, I did not see the advantages that this special package provided us with, expect for the direct transportation from and to the Cancun airport. All other, supposedly benefits, like separate check in, beach towels easy access, restaurant reservations, better rooms, were superfluous, seeing other friends that traveled with us (who arrived the day before and did not purchase this special package) got all the same benefits at no extra charge, furthermore we got the same type of rooms, no better, than them! The riviera side of the resort was closed due to renovation, it is actually going to be transformed into a luxury adult only area, looking forward to it! The service from all staff we interacted with was excellent!! We definitely recommend this resort and will return for sure.

Allegro Playacar: Beautiful area!

First time at an all inclusive and we weren't disappointed! Enjoyed the food, drinks, friendly staff, clean rooms but especially all the activities. Never pressured to join in but they were so much fun. Especially enjoyed beach volleyball and the pool foam party!

Great activities, food was good, beach amazing! Roofs did leak in heavy rains (always happened at night) but staff cleaned up next day. Clean rooms, friredly staff. Ask for the alcohol you want in drinks or you get house brand, bartenders very accomodating. We would return.

Catalonia Royal Tulum: Wonderful resort

The resort was well groomed, clean, staff very friendly and helpful. The only thing that I believe was lacking was the entertainment. There could have been better communication to the patrons, as to what was available on any given evening. There was a small board advertising what shows were happening in the evenings, but we were not aware of it until 3rd day into our vacation. Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Iberostar Rocks

I had a wonderful vacation at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach. The Grounds are immaculate. The beach is amazing. The people are amazing. The a-la-carte restaurants had the most delicious food. I wish that the buffet had more selection with chicken dishes and potatoes (sweet potato or otherwise). Just one note: Beach chairs were at times hard to find which was a little bit frustrating. Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Nice Resort

Resort is nice, very clean and well kept. Food at the buffet was good but it was pretty much the same thing for every meal, every day (with some meat exceptions). We are vegetarian so there were few choices. You can only eat grilled vegetables, fruit and rice so many times before you need some variety. We went to the Mediterranean and Japanese a la cart restaurants. Both were easily the worst I`ve ever had. Food was horrible (and I`m not at all picky) so we went back to the buffet. Rooms were a  [... read more]good size, clean and well equipped. Pool is huge with a swim up bar. Beach is gorgeous, clean and the water was warm. Beach bar was typical all inclusive watered down drinks but a couple dollar tip fixed that. All employees were wonderful, some of the nicest people we have ever met. Resort is spread out which we loved. At night we were far enough away from the entertainment that we couldn`t hear it but it was only a short walk to it. Gym is very well equipped for a resort, we were happily surprised. The walk ways to the rooms are connected to the other resorts so you can wander through them if you like, was nice for our runs. Over all a great resort, kind of typical of an all inclusive but I would stay here again mainly for the beach and how spread out the resort was

Was a great resort food was good rooms were goid and view was beautiful only down fall is every thing is so far way lots of walking not recommended for seniors.Also there was a bunch of stores for shopping that we did not even realize was there until we were leaving someone needs to take people around to show them meaning this hotel is so large.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Excellent resort , exceeded our expectations

This resort was nestled in a jungle-like setting. There were interesting birds, monkeys, and other wildlife to observe. The resort was staffed with friendly, helpful and pleasant staff. The recently renovated room we stayed in was fresh , spacious, open and comfortable. Food was quite good and the a la cartes were tasty.
