The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Excellent!!!

Nice luxurious hotel with lots of stairs, bridges and elevators. Very clean with great guest services, beautiful open patio with great restaurants and buffet, close to the town of Samanas and other amazing places to tour and visit.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Very nice resort, great service

The Hotel is amazing, great service, delicious food. I'd like lo back next vacation. The only comment I have is about employees strike for one day, service was terrible. I want to know how can I get best rates. Thanks a lot

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: run away from this place

My husband and 2 children ages 3 and 11 wanted to get away for a short but worth while holiday. This was not the place.This place was sold to us as an all inclusive. Upon arrival they are constantly trying to up sale everything. They give you a really bad room (filthy)with no air conditioning and then they try to get you to up grade by buying in to their VIP (a step higher; you can still go higher until reaching the privileged program for a considerable fee) program. It really looked like the pl [... read more]ace was desperate for money and could fold at any time. Everyone wanted tips. If you didn't tip you basically got really bad service. The pools and children's play area was filthy (my 3 year old came back with a skin infection). I was told they had a kids club. When we got there we were told the kids club was only for 4 and up with no exception. The beach was OK. It is very rockie not much in the way of swimming. There was little to no Mexican food served. And the A la cart restaurants where nothing as advertised. We met a lot of unhappy people coming from further places. This is absolutly not a 4 to 5 star resort. When we finally arrived back home we were asked by the west jet steward in the plane if everyone had a great time. There was little to no response from everyone! Good bye Mexico...

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great stay

The hotel COBA was more for children, and was 10 minute walk to the beach, we spent most of our time at the 2 other grand bahia's that were on the beach and slept at the Coba one, the food was amazing as well as the shops at the 3 resorts

we had tree rooms and they were ok as far as space and cleaning. the air conditioing wasnt working in all of them. the food was below average but eatable. the biggest problem was that all in door spaces like restoruants were not air conditioned so go for a meal ws not a pleasenr experiening at all swetting like pigs

Super nice resort for vacation ! It wasn't t our first time at Bahia principe. The food was excellent with huge variety at the buffet , to please every taste. Royal service at the French restaurant !Very nice shows. Friendly personnel . All the resort is very well maintained.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Grand Bahia Principe Resort Review

We enjoyed the resort. The resort is well maintained, clean. There was a problem with the toilets...flushing issues. When we first arrived our villa was not cleaned...it had a foul smell going up the stairs but as more people came in the week, it had been cleaned. We had the Royal Golden suites but the rooms were exactly the same. VIP room gave us a safety deposit box, room services which was slow, the services we received as VIP did not make much difference in our trip. The cleaning services so [... read more]metimes didn't come until the evening of the following day...having clean towels was an issue. Service regarding beach towel could be improved. We enjoyed the pools, the beach had too much seaweed. Lot of seaweed that was on the shoreline made it difficult to walk along the beach without getting little sticks caught in your feet. When we first arrived the dining services were efficient. We got seated quickly and service was good. As the week progressed the service got worse. Dining a la carte at French and Italian restaurant was excellent. I also did not like the number of presentations we had to attend e.g. Privilege Club, Timeshare, Lifeshare. There should be a way to tell them you are not interested before you arrive so they don't keep intruding on your vacation.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Awesome Resort

Highly recommend this resort. Excellent service and friendly staff. They made you feel like a VIP person. Very clean and beautiful foliage. Sandy beaches. Array of different foods and lots to drink. Its an excellent vacation resort.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great food, beautiful resort & beach

This was our 7th trip to Punta Cana - 3rd stay at the Bahia. The resort is clean and very well maintained, the staff are friendly and willing to help when they can, the food is excellent and abundant, the beach is beautiful soft white sand and you can walk for miles in either direction. We found lounge chairs easily on the beach and there was plenty of shade. There was not enough restrooms at the beach - always a line up at the 2 we found. We tried to make our 3 a-la-carte restaurant reservations as soon as we arrived but there was nothing before 10pm - too late for dinner for us. We were put on a waiting list and we did manage to get into the Japanese and Beach BBQ with short notice.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Average

Facilities were good but drinks were sickly sweet. Transportation was spotty unless you were a time share client. Big push to become time share clients. Air conditioned rooms smelled of mold. Service was OK

Overall, this resort is beautiful and clean! Landscaping: Is very lush, lots of palm trees, flowers and very well maintained. Check In: Very Slow Service: Very Slow Food: Okay Rooms: Nice and very clean! Pool: Nice with swim up bar Beach: The beach is beautiful and nestled into a bay with lots of palm trees! Ocean: HORRIBLE, Very Murky Water, lots of seaweed and jellyfish. No turquoise water! The water is not clear. There are also alot of wasps on the beach!! Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Fantastic Getaway

This is THEE perfect getaway! It was a quiet resort located on a beautiful stretch of sandy beach. Our room location was great, as it was close to the main pool, beach, and most restaurants. The beach is public, so there were sellers walking up and down in blue shirts. They left you alone when you said "no gracias." The grounds of the resort are beautiful. You can tell how much pride they take in them. It rained once our entire trip (late night, so we were in bed) and in the morning they had som [... read more]eone shot-vacing the roadways by reception! The selection of food was more than I imagined (and it had flavour!). There was no shortage of it, either. The staff were anxious to please. We found they understood French a bit more than English, though. Unfortunately we had to make a trip to the doctor, as I got a fever that wouldn't go away (cold-related). The doctor on staff (Tony) is wonderful. There was lots of paperwork to fill out, but I was feeling better and back on the beach within a couple hours of seeing him. You have to purchase internet (if you want it). We found we used it in our rooms at night when we were winding down. The cost was reasonable for 7 days. You also should purchase a safe (in fact, they highly recommend it). It gave us peace of mind knowing our passports, tablets, etc were locked up in our room when we weren't in it (which was hardly ever). We did one excursion through our tour operator. It was nice to get off the resort for the day. The hotel sells excursions, but it's best to go through your tour operator. On Tuesdays they put a bar in the ocean for the afternoon! It was nice not having to walk back to the main bars to get drinks! Snorkeling is free, but you can only reserve equipment for a 1/2 hr per day. Make sure to bring lots of $1 USD bills. It's good for tipping. We never had a problem finding beach chairs, although the ones under umbrellas were always gone first. It gets so hot by 10-11am that it's best to find a chair close to some kind of shade. Our chairs were never stolen either. We'd go for lunch and leave our towels (hotel-provided...new ones every day) and books on them. All in all we loved this resort and we would go back in a heartbeat.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: I could be to harsh?!?!?

If you like to snorkel the variety of fishes will amaze you... The Resort is too big and there is a huge difference in service and food from one hotel to the next. The a la carte Restaurants are not the best except the Mexican Restaurant (great food and service). The room was clean but the way the service comes in waves( 9:00 am towels are taken, 11:00 new towels and 12:00-13:00 floors and beds) is not so friendly. Do not disturb sign was missing and I could not use it. The beach is nice but the [... read more] ocean has some barriers to brake the waves and at times the water at its deepest would not be more than 4 ft deep.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing Home Away from Home

Fantastic resort, great value, friendly staff, good food and drinks. All around great resort. My wife and I going back again in October for our 9'th visit. Have been going there on average every 8 months for number of years now. have tried a couple of other resorts but keep coming back here. They always make us feel like we are at home and we and to us this is our cottage. It is a larger resort composed of 3 larger resorts basically rolled into one. There is a good shuttle system to get you arou [... read more]nd, though a little walking would not hurt given the extra food consumed. The buffets are very good as are the a la cartes. Would highly recommend.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing resort, I would certainly visit again.

Grounds were well kept, food was great just a bit too salty for me but overhall you had a lot to choose from. The fruits were the absolute best especially the mangoes and papaya. Breakfast was awesome I ate omlette almost every day.

This resort has it all. The beaches, the access to the other hotels in the chain, the service, very clean, friendly, fantastic food, friendly staff, they look after your every need, I have been to this hotel nine times in the past five years and will go again this year

Cayo Levantado Resort: paradise found!

We just got back from Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado - a choice we made based on the suggestion from Gina our Trip Central Rep. and it was an appreciated suggestion - we had a fabulous time. Thanks Gina it was all true! The resort is about an hour drive from Samana Airport, a tiny efficient airport and we were on our way in no time. We arrived at the mainland and waited about 1/2 hour and went on a small boat to the island. The resort is very lush and beautiful. We were in building 2, very centrally located - not far from the upper pool ( 2 pools, one upper and lower pool near the beach). Great spot! View of ocean was appreciated! We ate at all 3 a la carte restaurants and had wonderful meals. Buffet was also excellent - well about past Dominican standards we have met with. We we certainly go here again! It is a hidden gem for sure!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Wonderful vacation and amazing resort

Everything about the hotel was terrific. The pool was large and even though we had to take a trolley to the beach it was worth it. We had the opportunity to use the other properties at this location. The staff were wonderful, food was great, weather was hot and sunny. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to purchase the Bahia Principe Privilege membership
