Barcelo Maya Riviera: Awesome resort

Barcelo Maya Riviera Resort as soon as ate got there the the staff from the front entrance to the reception desk was very friendly helpful, and it was quick service, made us feel welcome. Handed us a drink with a smile.

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Nice not great.

First trip away, started off with a 3 hour delay with no food voucher provided. We were tired and hungry. Went to take a shower and there no hot water. We were told to let the water run for 20 mins first and then it trinkels out! After that, it did get warmer. We were celebrating a 50th BDay so I asked for something special in the room but nothing was done. Unfortunately. Also no drink to greet you when you arrive. But that’s no big deal. I thought I upgraded to ocean view but found out that I only got ocean view Partial view from the neighbours balcony ( when they weren’t sitting there)! Breakfast was very good at the buffet but the dinner wasn’t great at all. Very cold. The other restaurants were better (Mexican, Brazian and Italian). The burger place was great! You won’t be hungry. The shoreline wasn’t good. Lots of rocks and old sand bags but had nice views. If you want to swim, you have to walk a bit on the beach infront of the other resorts. Even then, they had some rocks and sandbags in the water so you need to be careful. Drinks were good. Tho not much alcohol in them. Bartenders were always happy to serve. The main pool was nice and beautiful that it overlooks the ocean. Sometimes there was a very strong smell of rotten seaweed that really kills the mood. The nice thing is that 5ft Ave shopping strip is just up the road. Very convenient. Lots of security walking around. Pretty safe at the resort. Because of the buffet, shoreline and cold and weak shower, I would say it was a 3.5 Star.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Well needed pampering

This was our second stay at VIM and it did not disappoint. The staff took excellent care of us and were always friendly and were always asking if you needed anything. The rooms are a little dated but always clean and everything worked. The beach was clean with no seaweed. The food was excellent. Our favourite restaurant was the French.

Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Lovely resort!

Beautiful weather, pools and beach. Hotel is a little tired, especially the club section. Whoever designed this resort gave no thought to how noise carries. The first night my friend and I couldn’t even talk as the band in the bar was so loud. Fortunately they stopped at 10pm but then we had to contend with those continuing to party until 3am. When we spoke to the concierge in the morning she was good enough to move us immediately. Still in the club section so some faint bar noise but what  [... read more]was worse was that we were above the kitchen/buffet restaurant so were awakened each morning at 5am. By the way stay away from the club section if you can’t do stairs....no elevator. Having said this the staff everywhere were amazing! Very attentive and courteous.

The Sens Riviera: Great Beaches

Great beaches super close to the resort. Lots of cabanas available. Pools were cold but the ocean was warm. Just to the left of the beach is tied pools with tons of beautiful fossilized coral. Buffet and restaurants were good. Wait times vary depending on time you go. Buffet was okay but was a bit repetitive after 4 or 5 days. Resort is 1.5 hours from the airport. Rooms were nice but no privacy between bathroom and bedroom- separate by a non locking clear glass door. Staff worked long shifts an [... read more]d weren't overly friendly but service was okay. They do need to have more high chairs and cribs available.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Fantastic Resort!!

The resort was incredibly well-kept and eco-friendly. Customer service was amazing, whenever something was needed there was always someone willing to help. The beach area and resort, in general, are wheelchair accessible, which was a bonus to see a resort have. The rooms and public bathrooms were all modern and always clean. Dining at the buffet and specialty restaurants were spectacular! The pool areas were also large enough that you never felt overcrowded, even when many people were around. Th [... read more]e workers and staff were all very friendly, and always willing to stop and give rides over from different places around the resort if needed in golf carts. The resort also had shuttle stops scattered all around the resort which you could wait at to be picked up and driven somewhere if needed.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Great resort and great service at Valentine Imperial Maya!

The resort is absolutely clean and service is great. The rooms are cleaned twice a day and everything replenished regularly. Staff take care of the environment and collects all the recycling items and look after garden, pool and beach. The morning breakfast buffet is excellent with the choice of food, fresh fruits, berries and vegetables. The a-la-cart dinning restaurants are well organized and provide great choice of meat, fish and various international cosine dishes. You can not be hungry here [... read more]! The alcohol drinks are of great verity and are served in a proper glassware which make you feel good. The entertainment at night is good.

El Dorado Seaside Suites: El dorado sea side Mexico

This was an absolutely amazing resort! Everything from staff, activities, food, & beach was fabulous. Concerige was a big plus. All the speciality restaurants were great with absolutely delicious food and great service. The hydrotherapy at the spa was an experience within itself.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Beautiful Resort!

This was our first time to the Mayan Riviera. We were absolutely amazed with the quality of this resort! Everything is exactly as the photos show and More! The rooms were spacious, we had a swim-up suite in the Eden Building close to the beach which was fantastic! Food was absolutely amazing! Buffet was better than many places we have been with so much to choose from, excellent quality and presentation. The a lacarte restaurants were good...our fave was the steak house. Some nice shops on  [... read more]site and lots of areas to keep busy! Staff overall were very friendly and helpful. We had a minor issue with the Air Conditioner temperature control, 15 minutes after we called, it was fixed! The activities crew and entertainment is great! Bartenders overall were super friendly and attentive, room cleaning was very good as well. No issue finding something to do here! We wish we had booked a longer trip!

Grand Palladium Select White Sand: Nicest resort I have been to

There is nothing about this resort that was not fantastic. The buffet was awesome and the hostesses did a great job accommodating our large group whenever we showed up. The breaded chicken cutlets with waffles proved to be a big hit. The New Year's Eve buffet was an actual feast! We were impressed by the amount of time the staff spent cleaning and the resort was spotless. The staff were also friendly and accomodating at all times and the service was great. Even though the resort was fully  [... read more]booked it seemed like we had the place to ourselves. Rooms were spacious with lots of TV channels available. Great job! The only other comment I would make is about the massages provided by the spa. The prices were higher than we normally pay in Canada and we were told that an RMA number would be provided so the massage could be covered by our employment benefit plans and that this would be provided at checkout. This was not true and no RMA numbers were provided so be aware of this.

Royal Solaris: Royal experience at Royal Solaris

Where do I begin? Such great memories from Dec 30th to Jan 6th!! Starting with the ease of booking at trip central ably assisted by the knowledgable and wonderful Nicole, to airport shuttle in to the shuttle out, our stay at this resort was simply awesome!! Prior to our departure from Vancouver, Miriam at the travel desk at RS ensured that our pick up shuttle at the airport was on time!(ensure you talk to the very pleasant Miriam for all your transportation needs while at this resort!) The check [... read more] in process was simple and easy, well greeted by the staff behind the desks and then smoothly transitioned into the very capable hands of Ronnie at the conceirge! Ronnie is a great addition to the RS team! He was very pleasant, warm, always smiling and funny, all at the same time! He ensured we understood everything as regards the resort and its facilities, discount coupons, events for the New Year and also gave us a tour of the RS club membership. We already have a time share in PVR and know what it means to weave through a team of Time share sales sharks!! However, Ronnie and his time share counterpart, Alfredo were not pushy at all and very very respectful of our time and decision. Overall, it's been a great experience here at San Jose del Cabo in general and at the Royal Solaris in particular!! The only downside we experienced was the dining experience at Marco Polo and Pancho's restaurants. The food my wife got served was not what she ordered from the menu but was altered and served without any prior notification. That kinda ruined the dining experience on two nights but from a total experience point of view it was simply great to be at this resort and get pampered and spoilt for 7 nights with the All-inclusive package!! RONNIE TRULY MADE A GREAT DIFFERENCE WITH ALL HIS EFFORTS TO ENSURE THAT WE GOT ALL THE TICKETS AND SEATING TO ALL THE EVENTS!!Truly meticulous and a people's person! Go RC go!!

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Royalton Riviera Maya

We stayed over the holidays for New Years. Service was awful. Food was good. Facilities were clean and okay. We had our daughter who had food restrictions (Gluten) and they made it VERY difficult for us. We even upgraded to Diamond Club and that did NOT improve the situation. Waste of money... never going to Royalton branded hotel again

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Not disappointed

Spent the New Year Hollidays at the Valentin Imperial. Building 4 was at a perfect location, beside a pool, close to beach and main building. Service is good and professional. Best food, Mexican Restaurant for sure. Great taste, big portions and great service. We also tried all the restaurants and found the Indonesian to be the least attractive. Depending on your taste. Overall all the restaurants are good. House wine was just ok. Service was good, great room service. Resort is beauti [... read more]ful and well maintained. It is only one negative:The chair game...the management has to deal with this ASAP. We witnessed couple of occasions were people almost trow punches.

Occidental Cozumel: So relaxing!! Completely rejuvenated!!

What a beautiful resort. Instead of clearing jungle, they built around it. The resort was completely full and the only night you would have guessed was on New Years! The beach is beautiful and there is a lot of it! There is an adult pool which is a nice option. The other pool is down on the beach which provides a beautiful view!! No swim-up bar but that was the only thing I would add. Rooms are big and beautiful!! You never walk to far to get anywhere. El Dorado Royale: Fantastic Time!!

We had a great time. This is the second time we have visited this resort and I was not disappointed. We have never returned to a resort before, and I say We would come even come back a third time. We brought our freinds with us, on our recommendation, so we were a little worried. But that worry was unfounded, because they loved the resort! The food was great! If you are a foody, then I would definetly try this resort. The buffets changed daily and did not serve the "same old, same old" everyday. [... read more] That was a nice change from the last couple resorts that we had visited. I was actually looking forward to what was on display everyday. Loved all the restaurants :) The hotel grounds are very well kept. The room was clean. Most of the hotel staff were very friendly, (with the exception of a couple people who were not very engaging and did not smile). The only downside were the glasses left at the entry to our room and the cleaning cart that we had to navigate around "every time" we came back to our room. The entrance was a little cluttered. There were glasses, napkins, bottles, room service trays etc etc. I think the resort staff should take note of this, because this was the only negative we had for the week and this stuff should have been attended to immediately :( We had a great week and would definitely come back for a 3rd visit.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: A 5+

this hotel is def. a 5*.....the rooms, buffets, and grounds were excellent.....the grounds keepers were maticulous.....even though you were advised not to swim in the water due to the undertow, the wave-watching was totally unbelievable...I was fortunate enough to see a few sightings of whales from the grounds and the release of baby turtles...the resort was only 35 minutes from the airport... My only qualm was that due to the high tides, the beach itself was hard to walk on..

Grand Oasis Cancun: Never going back

Despite the fact that we spent way more money for this resort we were extremely disappointed. Food was awful Shortage of supply hence long line ups everywhere. I did not take vacation time and spend money to stand in lines. Specially for breakfast. Half hour to get a table and another half hour to get two eggs. They would not do anything to accommodate by switching another restaurant to breakfast mode to help the guests. Some staff were very rude specially at the sushi restaurant. Btw  [... read more]if you ever go to this place stay away from the sushi restaurant. Just horrible. Oversold or over crowded and if you wake up past 8 am you wont be able to find any chair around the pool or the beach. Our AC stopped working and finally after 2 days they switched our room. Overall its not a place i ever recommend to anyone. Spend ur money in a decent place

Allegro Cozumel: Disappointed with customer service

This was our 5th time to the resort as a group of 8 and we were disappointed with the customer service, i.e. room request, dinner reservations not available. We have always been extremely pleased with the Allegro (the proof 5th time!), however the reception and guest relations employees were rude and not helpful at all. We have never complained in the past but this will definitely be our last visit.

El Cozumeleno Beach: Relax and enjoy the beach

Quiet ,quaint resort with lovely a beach and snorkeling is right there. Only one al la cart restaurant for dinner but line up early it’s worth it. Be sure to order lunch off the menu right on the beach.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Enjoyable resort!

The grounds were beautiful and quite large so we could go for a walk at night. The gym had great exercise classes. The pools were enjoyable. There were many families of all ages and there seemed to be something for everyone. They were very helpful with food allergies. It was lovely and we would return.
