Punta Peninsula Varadero: Spend your money elsewhere
This was our 4th trip to Cuba and have low travel expectations when it comes to all inclusive resorts. This resort was the oldest, moldiest, beyond dirty and infested with fleas that I've been to in all my 10 years of travel. The only positive thing I can say about this place was the staff were wonderful so I can only guess that's the only reason what brings people back.
Melia Costa Rey: Good resort
The hotel was fine but needs a bit of refurbishing. The beds are very hard...not very comfortable. The food was definitely above average for Cuba. Fresh fish basically every meals and fresh shrimps. Lacks fresh fruit depending on the days. The beach is exceptional, they manage to keep it clean. Lots of beach chairs at the beach and at the pool. The entertainment was very good, cubains have very good musicians and entertainers with great talents. The restaurants were a good change from the [... read more]
Villa Natura: Awesome Vacation and Resort
We had a great awesome time at Villa Iguana! Hola Sun and Trip Central made it worry free! We met great people from staff to vacationers! Made great friends. Food was great..no complaints..very clean rooms..resort very well lit and safe!..We would definitely go back to great beaches, people, and sites.
Grand Memories Cayo Largo: Amazing resort
Beautiful resort. I wasn't aware the beach had been washed away with Hurricane Maria . We had to bus to Playa Sirena beach which took almost an hour. Other than that I enjoyed it very much. Also we used the outside restaurant for breakfast and supper for part of the week. Too many flies to eat outside. Thankful we ended up inside by midfle of week.
Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Nice resort!
Well-maintained resort- nice beach, bars, great cappuccinos, lively and varied entertainment in lobby area as well as events in theatre. Good room services-- stocked fridges etc. Great Asian and Italian restaurants-- very good food/ white wine. Good wifi (1hr/adult/week free). Great customer service dept. Amazing staff/ great service in general. The week we went they were out of some items- like no shrimp/ ketchup was hard to find-- due to embargo. Best to bring hot sauce, ketchup, Nutella, pea [... read more]
Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Very disappointing for a 5 star resort
This was my 4th trip to Cuba & unfortunately not one of the better ones! The lobby is quite nice, but too small to accommodate guests for the evening entertainment. Our room was run down. The screen door was broken, the drapes were hanging off the rod. The bedspread was stained. (That came off the bed immediately & stayed on the floor until we left) there was a large ball of hair on the shower floor. The el a carts were embarrassing & a waste of time. The Italian restaurant didn’t offer Italia [... read more]
Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Resort was Good, Food not so Much!
The Resort was very nice, but as an overall experience, I would only give it a 4-star rating. The food 3+. The Reception area was overwhelmed with those checking in, checking out, exchanging $, etc. The majority of the staff was great, the entertainment was good; there was not shortage of things to do. The old cars were fun to see and to drive in. For more info, see blog sent to Trip Central. My sister, mother and I feel we should be reimbursed for the inconveniences about the room, [... read more]
Gran Muthu Imperial: Great Time
We just recently returned from this resort and had an amazing experience. Only a few drawbacks to note: some shortages of toilet paper in the busy bar washroom areas, sometimes ran out of cola/beers in the rooms or the bars, mint leaves (for Mojitos) but not unusual for Cuba and service and food at the snack bar was slow at times and food choices were very limited. Oh and bring facecloths! So, having said that here is what we felt was amazing. The resort is relatively new and very clean. Bea [... read more]
Les [... read more]
Don Lino Hotel: The best resort
Don Lino is in amazing place, clean employees are friendly and good people, rooms, dining, activities everything is perfect for a perfect vacation.we love Don Lino Perfect location Perfect and the best place to rest
Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Worst vacation ever.
Had to get a second room. No Kleenex. No coffee in rooms even though there was a coffee pot. Room cleaning was poor. Even with tips and gifts. One can of beer one bottle of water and one tiny bottle of cola in the fridge fir two occupants. Drinks and food were a one star. No spoons, tea, cheese, bacon, salads or dressing. Not enough tongs to handle the food. With the corona virus outbreak it was disgusting to see the guests use their hands to get their food. On our last day all po [... read more]
Melia Peninsula Varadero: I loved it
Everything was super clean, well kept, staff was always busy working and very friendly all the time. No complaints at all. Food was fine for me always something good, pool was a little too cold that’s all I could say. Management and all the staff were really great, made our vacation wonderful
Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Good resort
The rooms are cleaned every day... The resort is maintain quite good... The pools are amazing, the beach is great... The service at the buffet is poor... Servers are very slow, some don't speak English... The restaurants a la carte are much better ....
Gran Muthu Imperial: Amazing Staff
I can't say enough about the staff. Our maid was always friendly, Alex the tennis pro was great, bartenders, waitresses, staff don't stop working. Don't go if you're looking for a beautiful beach. It was off to the side making it a long walk to the washroom and it's uphill to get back to the main area. The chances are you will find something at the buffet to eat. I'm a little fussy and didn't starve.
Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great people
We arrived late on 3/6 and from the 1st day till we left all the people were great. From the front desk to the grounds keepers they were all friendly and happy. Great beach and good food for Cuba . Would definitely recommend and would go back.
Gran Muthu Imperial: I don't recommend this hotel in particular
I've traveled to Cuba before, this was my first time in Cayo Guillermo which was a beautiful place. The hotel however was not as great as my other experiences. The food was not that good and very repetitive. I actually felt sick a lot. The beach was very beautiful but very rough, the service was very poor and the hygiene was not great. I've been to 5 stars in Cuba and this I would rate as a 3.5 star max compared to my other experiences.
Iberostar Selection Varadero: Excellent resort
The Iberostar Selection Varadero was so lovely in all the ways that matter. It's a very nicely designed setting that actually has character and is easy to get around. It's a nice size so that there's space for a variety of amenities, but it's not too big so that you feel lost or that you're in an impersonal environment. The food is high quality and it's clear that the hotel takes pride in providing good food, and a variety of it, for guests. The service at meals was very good. Servers are hel [... read more]
Gran Muthu Imperial: not 5 stars hotel
room service was so poor .bar tender refused to give black label but he gave to other guest. I am not heavy drinking its only for having nice time . I don't have say anything to you. as you know your resort is not five stars. your put law and resort on high level .
Melia Cayo Coco: Small quiet resort
Very nice place. Food good, but can be the same every other day. Every day was windy and lots of red flags. The staff are great and will do anything for you. For Cuba as usual beach is the best Now the only down fall is that tripvcentral never told us that West jet will charge for bags....How Disaponting that was, I was lead to believe that bags were part of the price Maybe post this or tell your customer this
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Grand Muthu
The hotel is a perfect size not to big. We were in building 4 close to pools and main lobby snack bar beach was about 5 min walk . The room we had a beautiful view of the ocean unfortunately the sinks and shower leaked no issues with water pressure the toilet hard to flush rooms are looking aged for a newer resort. The buffet the chair are very dirty gross to sit the tables are not cleaned well and the should God rid of those table placements hold more dirt . the lay out isnt good for the placem [... read more]
