Staff fantastic, friendly and attentive. Grounds beautiful. Food spectacular Pools great. Restaurants and buffets were exceptional! Selection amazing. Bar service....second to none. Fast and friendly. Deluxe Jr. Suite very nice. Except for the jacuzzi, Junior Suite would be fine. Swim out Suite looked nice but a lot of other guests assumed these pools were for anyone. Anyone booking one of these should know anyone can be right outside their patio. Beach very nice...lots of lounge chair [... read more]s. Ocean....getting in and out requires one to wear protective footware because of the rocks and stones. Exchanging currency no problem. Be wary of certain workers in lobby trying to entice guests with a free breakfast. They should be more upfront about trying to get you to listen to a presentation. People arriving are tired and these workers try to get to you right away. Check in and check out very guest friendly.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Great resort

More than satisfied with our vacation. The facilities, food, beach, room were all excellent. All personnel at the resort were very helpful and caring. Will return for another stay as soon as possible.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: The most unusual hotel that we've ever stayed at - and that's not a bad thing at all.

This hotel is on huge grounds necessitating travel by golf cart trains that run every 10 minutes to several different locations, including the beach. At first I wasn't sure about this, but it was great once we got used to it. The grounds are extensive, as I said, but so well looked after! And we enjoyed seeing the iguanas, coatimundis and some that I thought were a type of capybara, but I think I'm wrong on that last one. One day, there was no hot water in our building of 10 rooms, but it was fixed by the time we returned to our room in the early afternoon. The beach is great for taking long walks and there are safe areas for families with their kids, or for non-swimmers like me. All the staff were a pleasure to deal with and we would come again in a heartbeat.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Outstanding resort

There were four persons in our party and we all agreed that this resort was one of the best we have stayed in. This was our first time at an Iberostar Resort, and plan to make it one of our regular locations (I assume the others are just as great). Although it rained a few times, we still had a tremendous time - there was so much to do - the beach was amazing but even more so, we lost count of all the pools and the water features throughout - we applaud the architects / designers etc.for such an appealing plan...We were in Rooms 5269 and 5273, and our housekeeping staff (Frances) was outstanding - our rooms were always impeccable. I want to especially congratulate and thank the 2 concierge at our building - Julie and Karen - always cheerful, very professional, friendly and extremely helpful (what a joy to be greeted by such pleasant ladies who obviously loved what they were doing and made us feel welcomed and cared for. Julie even called a pharmacy off the resort to get some medication for me - they did not have it on site - had it delivered and brought to me ---thank you, thank you. The entire resort was fantastic, but Julie and Karen went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay memorable and enjoyable - and because of them, we plan to return as soon as we can. Our thanks as well to all the staff at the resort - obviously well trained, organized, friendly and helpful.. Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Akumal Bay Beach wellness and spa

Amazing resort-2nd time around. great for snorkeling and diving. Far from airport, but worth it when you arrive. Lots of local restaurants to walk to. If you want to relax and enjoy the ocean this is the place for you. Not a partying place more so serenity.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun: Absolutely perfect

A wonderful resort, excellent staff. Beautifully kept and maintained, the food and service excellent. .Catered our nephews allergy issues, our grandchildren had fun. We will definitely be back Restaurants were amazing, shows worth seeing

Royal Hideaway Playacar: Royal Hideaway Playacar

This was our 4th stay at this property since it opened. I have the said the quality has gone down - room quality (dated, door lock falling apart, jacuzzi bath not usable ...). Food quality and reduction is staff like no concierge are examples that contributed to a disappointing stay.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Wonderful resort at Palace

The whole layout of the resort was exceptional with nice paths for running and gyms. The resort was full capacity but didn't have to wait for anything as was spread out. The food and service was excellent at the Palace restaurants. Buses were helpful in the bad weather between areas...and there was lots of bad weather. The beach wasn't extremely long but ok for walking.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Lots of changes

Hotel still nice but they no longer have casino but still advertise it and took a $600 us dollars deposit on credit card and said they'd credit it back on check-out day they didn't and now I have to file dispute against the hotel with credit card company. The bar rail isn't refilled daily anymore and they expect you to make a 26 ounce bottle to last the entire stay. Very disappointing to pay top dollar and get sub par services.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Large Resort

The resort was large not much to do. All the advertised activities are at an additional fee. The resort does not accept cash anywhere not even at the stores/shops. The food is a serious disappointment. The food is holding this hotel back from a fourth or even fifth star. I would not return.

Iberostar Waves Tucan: Very Good Resort

We stayed in 1200 Block or Rooms on third floor, close to pool and beach, and really not far away from anything. Room overlooked pool, but view blocked by foliage, and had two DOUBLE beds, which we found was pretty tight. Room overall was clean and nice. Greeted several times by monkeys walking across balcony... Dad, Mom and baby. Fine for us, but not for everyone, they were pretty bold, even tried to grab something off our table. A variety of wildlife on grounds, flamingos, peacocks, agou [... read more]tis, parrots and iguanas. Good alcohol brands and beer (light and amber Dos Equis). Always something to eat, although not spectacular. The a la carte restaurants were good, but not a great deal better than buffet. We ate at Japanese, Mexican and the Steakhouse, with the Steakhouse being the best in our opinion. Recommend the top sirloin. Beach was fantastic! Pool was nice and warm, with physically separate swim-up bar, which was nice. Not too much difficulty getting a lounger anywhere. No disco or after hours activity, if you are looking for that. Lots of families at the resort. Overall, happy with this resort and proximity to Playa Del Carmen. Would stay there again.

I’ve travelled for 20 yrs at least two times a year some times three ! I have to say hands down beautiful resort food amazing and drinks staff had the best experience I will be back to that resort ! I’ve told all my friend ! I had the best time ! Will be back with a group this time ! Over all hands down best resort I’ve ever been too !

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great Vacation at Mexico

Our 2017 vacation start from booking with TripCentral at Square One Sopping Centre. Thanks to Bill Gentry for helping us book on this hotel that I choose from their book. This is our first time in Mexico, and it was a great vacation I would say. We stayed at Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda. This hotel is great to stay, very relaxing, it has a very good scenery, some creature around, like Koatis which are very cute. Mexican, and Steak house is my fav. At a buffet they have different theme every night. Service are good and staff very helpful and very accommodating to all the tourist. Even if you do not give them tips every time you have your meal. At the end you will have no choice to give them some $ as their service is really great. The weather is great too even if it was raining for two days before we left. I though it was still great as there was time to just relax in your room. Lots of sleep. Room was just nice size, it is being clean everyday and most of all linens smell fresh everyday. Unlike the last hotel we visit in DR. Linens are smelling mouldy and sweat. Pool area is spectacular, activities are also great. If you love to swim on the beach though this is not the place for you. Beach is smaller and feels muddy under water. Mean sleepery, the water is brown sometimes. Some other day, it is okay. Still great in general. Thanks again to Juan, Miriam, ( staff that wait by the beach buffet). Grand Sunset Princess: This resort was great 10/10

Food was amazing.The grounds were clean worker's are friendly.Many a le carte restaurants to choose from.Buffet was good and 24 hour sports bar was awsome.night showtime was entertaining and live bands at the bar had a good mox of music e every night.

Riu Palace Riviera Maya: OUTSTANDING SERVICE

This was our first time at this particular RIU and we weren't disappointed, the staff throughout the hotel went out of their way to provide quality service. The buffet offered a tremendous selection of foods that would appeal to everyone including many vegetarian selections, seafood daily and a theme of the day. The buffet was so good we didn't bother with the speciality restaurants at all. The beach area is out of this world with picture perfect sand and water and very few local vendors pesteri [... read more]ng you. The pool areas were kept spotless and the swim up bar was always fully stocked with all of our favourites. The only negative was when we arrived around 11:30 a.m. we were told our room wouldn't be ready until 3 but if we wanted to pay 590 pesos per night we could get a room right away. Also we were told there is a new environmental tax the government has added of 10 pesos per night that we had to pay in cash before they would even give us a room. We asked about paying by credit card and were told no, cash was to be in pesos but they wouldn't offer money conversion. When I told them we had only U.S. $ they relented and took that payment. Too bad the travel agency or Sunwing hadn't let us know to expect this added fee to our All Inclusive. Anyway other than that small glitch this was one of the best trips we have ever been away on.

Grand Sunset Princess: Unforgettable vacay

The resort is really great. The rooms are very comfortable. Our only problem was that the swim out suite couldnt be locked from outside which makes it difficult to actually use as it should be. The restaurants are very good, both a la carte amd buffets. There were several parts under renovations but it didnt cause big problems for us. service and personnel very nice.

El Dorado Seaside Suites: Beautiful Resort!

This resort was spotless, well-maintained, friendly. The workers here were phenomenal; always assisting, greeting, cleaning, etc. The food was delicious and plentiful. The drinks were also delicious and so many to try! The beach on the Infinity side is still being built but it did not disappoint; there was always a place to lay and despite needing water shoes the water was lovely and refreshing. Travelled mid-october. weather was awesome (high twenties), weather forecast showed thunderstorm everyday but it was not accurate at all. only rained at nights a little bit but it would stop fast. Resort is huge, at least 20 minute walk from lobby to beach. good for kids, they have a family club area where you can drop your kids from age 3. Not much shades on pools if you travelling with infants. even the kids pool is uncovered and no shade in the pool. Rooms are nice and modern. they charge you [... read more] a small fee when checkin in, around 1 dollar per night. which tooks us by surprise, apparently is a new fee the locals are charging for maintenance of the beach, etc. Buffets were good, ala carte too but they dont all open everyday, we couldnt get the mexican because they fill out fast. Dont go to La fondue, bad service and food. the grill, International and Miso are very good. There are some royal club reps always trying to reclute people around to get you in to listen to their 90 minute talk to get you enrolled in their service. very very annoying, we got approached at least 5 times everytime we walked to the Buffet. At some point, i wanted to take another path to the buffet because they will always cut in saying hi and having small talks just to then offer you to join them and sign up with them for a talk. and they put pressure. also., they change staff every day so everyday you will get approached. Beach was ok, smelled really bad the days we were in there, and always with red flag. Some mosquitos at night for sure, very annoying if u get bit. Plenty of pools, entertainment could be improved. very close to playa del carmen. Other resorts have more things to do and ammenities i believe. overall i would give this a 4 star. good time

Everything was so good! The staff are amazing and so friendly and accommodating. Room service was quick! All meals were to die for and the decorations were a beautiful added touch. The pool areas were so clean and the staff at the pools were fantastic. The rooms were very spacious and always cleaned. The grounds were amazing, everything so neat and tidy. " Awesome facility"!
