Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Amazing all around:)

I really can't say enough about this resort. The people, location, size, everything about this resort was fabulous. I personally do not like the bigger resorts so this was perfect....exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a smaller resort, quiet but still fun, a place to sit, relax & do nothing if I wanted for a week, or party it up if I wanted.....and I got that. You guys are amazing;). Uleissy at the pool bar & Santiago....again, amazing. They both made sure that we always had a drink & always had a smile. Such amazing staff at this resort!!! Cleanliness is something they take very serious at this resort & it shows.....very clean. I've heard different things about the food at the resort but I had no complaints. Everything I ate was fantastic as well but I'm not a very picky eater. The way I see it is everyone has their own tastes.....it's not going to please everyone but for me, it was great!!!! I will definitely go back to this resort one day & can't wait :)

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful Resort

We stayed the first week of April, 2014. This was the second time we stayed at the Ambar and were happy with both of our stays. One of the reasons we like this resort is that the Ambar section is strictly adults and restricted to only those staying at the Ambar; it has it's own lobby, it's own buffet, many a la carte dining restaurants and pool, but you also have access to the rest of the resort, which includes all pools, lobbies and restaurants within the Bahia Principe resort. There is also a  [... read more]lot of shopping and things to do within the entire resort that you have no need to leave. You can walk to all area (it's a long walk but definitely not exhausting) or you can take trams. The property is very clean and all staff are very friendly and helpful. I've read other reviews and noticed that language barriers were mentioned. During our two times staying at the Bahia, we never had any issues with not being able to communicate with the staff. We would not hesitate to go back to the Ambar.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: A Secluded Gem!

The resort is lovely; maintains the exceptional high standards of the Bahia Principe family of resorts that we have come to appeciate in all aspects of service provision; food, cleanliness, romm accomodation, etc. I would like to submit a few worthwhile suggestions regarding the main pool; - as this is a relatively small pool and deck area, i feel a few minor adjustments could greatly enhance the overall aesthetics and guest enjoyment of the pool area. First and foremost the lounge chairs need t [... read more]o staggered around the pool, or clustered in small groups. This would be much moe appealing visually and would avoid guests being shoulder to shoulder within inches of a stranger in the lounge next to yours!!! Second suggestion; remove the "spa" area at the far end of the pool. It was not used once the entire wk we were there and the space could be better utilized to accommodate guest lounges- the spa is currently occupying the most lovely area on the pool deck and that area could offer the most amazing views!!! Third suggestion; replace the existing pool umbrella's with the thatch roofed, more permanent type( as located at the smaller pools), the current situation presents a potential area of liability resulting from guest injury! Several times the wind plucked the current umbrellas out of their holdings, flew accross the pool and narrowly missed injuring people in the pool and on deck!!!

The grounds at this resort were beautiful. Public areas were very neat and well maintained. The rooms were very spacious and clean, also well equiped with all the necessities including the refreshments in the fridge. The swimming pool was fantastic. The restaurants served delicious meals. All around service was top rated and the staff was very curtious; the entertainment staff was very friendly and lots of fun. I was really surprised at all the different languages spoken by the staff. The beach  [... read more]restaurnat/buffet was amazing in every way, be it for the food, the atmosphere or the beach accessibility and paysage. the only problem I found at this resort is the entry into the ocean, and the murkiness of the water as well al the algee present all over and at all times. Example: What did you think about  this hotel? (grounds, public areas, rooms, dining, features, etc.)

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nice resort.

I visited this property in November 2013. The hotel was very large but clean and well maintained. The food was very good. A la carte restaurants were excellent with very good service. The buffet was very busy as this is a very large resort, so often ran out of the more popular things. The pool was well maintained and clean as well. My only negative comment would be that the flooring in and around the resort grounds is marble which is very beautiful but "extremely" slippery when wet, which was of [... read more]ten the case since it rained a little each day. I had several close calls. Make sure you take footwear with good tread including your pool wear/sandals.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

We went to the grand Bahia Principe Bavaro in April 2014 for our 25th wedding anniversary. When we arrived, we were a bit overwhelmed at the size of the resort, but that quickly left us. It was clean, there were no bugs, the food was absolutely fantastic, I would and have highly recommended this resort. Our stay was perfection!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Fabulous Trip! Amazing Resort!

My husband and I travelled with our 2 teenage daughters and had a fabulous trip! The resort is huge and we loved that we could go to the Tulum and Akumel resorts to eat, swim, etc. It was nice to try different places every day. We had absolutely no problem staying at the Coba, which was a bit further back because the trollies were available all the time. The food was fabulous at all the buffets, snack bars and a la carte's. We ended up getting 2 rooms side by side on the top floor (as we had requested) so that was nice. They had a welcome sign and balloons on both our doors and a Bahia Principe T-shirt for all of us on the bed when we arrived. Not sure if that is a standard thing or if it was because we mentioned it was our daughter's 16th birthday, but that was a nice touch. The staff was friendly and were always there to serve you. The animation team was wonderful and always got my girls involved in activities, which made it fun for them. The grounds were spotless - the landscapers were out every day ensuring everything was perfect. Considering the size of the resort, the staff was on top of everything. The food at the buffet was always replenished quickly if things ran out and all public areas were very clean. The only complaint we have about the resort is that everything closed down at 11:00. They turn off all the lights and stop serving drinks, which we found a bit strange for people vacationing. If you wanted to stay up and have a drink in the lobby or at any of the other bars, you couldn't do that. The only place that was open later was the disco, but if you didn't want to go there, there was no where to go. Besides that, the beach was very nice and there was always something to do, which is important for teenagers, as they get bored easily. We also "swam with the dolphins" right in the resort. They have a Dolphinarium right in the Tulum resort, so we booked it from home ahead of time, which was half the price, rather than booking it at the resort. We took the trolly to the Tulum resort that morning, which took 5 minutes - it was nice that we didn't have to drive anywhere. It was an amazing experience and would recommend it. This was definitely one of the best vacations we've had as a family and we would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone.

The Hotel was pretty neat for the most part. The food was AMAZING ! we went for the beach and it was Beautiful! ! ! The only Downfall was the club that was in the entertainment area, it was pretty much emtpy almost all of the time. There was a funky ordor and felt quite stuffy ! other than that all the staff for VERY FRIENDLY AND WERE THERE TO HELP ANYTIME WE NEEDED. This is a beautiful resort. The grounds are clean, the pools are beautiful and clean (and there are lots of them), the dining experience is amazing with lots of variety to choose from. An amazing family resort!

I booked this vacation last minute with a friend of mine. After checking out all the reviews on Tripadvisor we weren't quite sure which resort we wanted to stay at. We finally decided on this one. when we arrived at the resort we were greeted by Johonna who was amazing throughout our entire stay! She was very friendly, and helpful. The Room and washroom was fine, and clean for the most part. The only issue I have here is with the lighting, it was a bit too dim, and the light switches didn't always work. Again, not a big deal, but something to be aware of. The grounds are always clean and tidy, which is good. Any mess left behind by other guests, like glasses or half consumed alcohol was usually cleaned up right away. Again, when cleaned, the rooms were fine, but the length of time it took for our room to be clean was a bit much. Had to call front desk a couple times to let them know our room had not been cleaned and this was around evening time. Pools were great, lots of fun and good people. great staff around the pools that did their best to keep everyone entertained. One thing that was lacking was the nightly entertainment, specifically the disco which played the same music every night, it kind of got repetitive and annoying. another thing that could have been better was the alcohol, which was kind of watered down. The best thing there was the gin and beer. OVERALL, it was a great trip, and the resort was very good. I would definitely come back here again. Staff was great, and did their best to make up in areas that were lacking.

The grounds are beautifully manicured ...... The larger pool is great for activities, families, and the swim up bar is a friendly spot to meet people .... The smaller pool is more private, thus a great place to park oneself and catch up on reading your favourite books ....The staff are very friendly and always willing to go the extra mile for you ....The buffet meals offer a tremendous variety and are always presented with local colour and freshness.... The rooms are always very clean and the complimentary drinks in the fridge are a nice treat ..... I would go back here in an instant! The staff was welcoming, the rooms were clean and always had a personal touch to make us feel special. The food was amazing!! The pools, grounds and beach were always clean. We took several excursions to see the countryside, landmarks and other beaches. I would sure recommend these sight seeing adventures!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: What a lovely vacation!

Everything from the service to the food was great! It was worth going to the Ambar section of the resort as it had a more classy upscale feel. My friend and I had massages at the resort's spa and found it to be very nice. One of the Ambar's perks was the beach - we never had a problem finding seats even though we are late risers. The only part of the trip that was a bit disappointing was the shopping excursion we went on. I like to get to learn about the country I'm in and feel like I am buying authentic items. The craft fair on the resort was much better and bought a larimar stone for $40 that would be sold here for $200! I would recommend this resort to anyone. It was very nice.

We travelled as a group of 5, all of us being 25-28, we had a fabulous You can't beat their jerk chicken (available daily on the beach). Their beach is a great size, not over crowded. And you can always find a spot at the pool.

very clean grounds and the area, pools are nice too,very good food. Rooms could use a little updates.Night entertainment very nice , but not too much to do for the kids.Service was ok , but the guy who suppost to help us out treat us very cold and even not very nice sometimes.

Only negative was the timeshare sales team. Otherwise, the resort (Esmeralda) was beautiful and the closest unit to the beach. The staff was very friendly and food was great. I would definitely return to this resort again!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Place for Peace and Quiet

This hotel is excellent if you need to get away from stress, it is very quiet, no kids, the restaurant is amazing, the a la carte are great. If you need excitement you can always get on the shuttle and go to the sister resorts. The lush garden setting is like tranquilty.
