The hotel offers spectacular ocean views, clean facilities, helpful staff, a good variety of dining choices and close proximity to downtown Phillipsburg for amazing shopping. Great value for our travel dollar.

Palace St. Martin: Great resort! Amazing experience

The hotel is enclosed by mountains. It makes it super inclusive and intimate. The beach is on the smaller side however it is very clean. Had a great time. The staff was amazing and extremely helpful in making sure we did not lack of anything. The rooms are a great size and clean. Wi-fi all around the resort is great plus.

Palace St. Martin: Amazing resort , great people

I enjoyed myself , the resort was just extremely clean, the service was just fantastic. Made some new friends. A shout to Romeo, Claude, baby face, Antoinette, Patricio all the ladies from the entertainment. It is definitely a place that my family and I will viait again..

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Very nice resort

The food and drinks are excellent. Plenty of variety. You can drink the water. The rooms are not very large but you can be right on the beach with a nice terrace. It is a windy area but with the heat and the humidity, it's a blessing ! We loved every bit of it and we will go back.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Decent Resort

Overall our stay was pleasant. It met our expectations however there were opportunities of exceeding expectations such as, food options like more exotic fruits, better entertainment and more frequent replenishment of water, toilet paper etc in the room. But nonetheless the resort is true to a 3 star in North America.

Sonesta Maho Beach: Awesome resort

Great resort, very clean. Friendly staff. Great food. Small beach, but very nice. Great value for the money. Close to anything you want to do. Negotiate price for taxi before you go, otherwise they rip you off.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Great resort for the price!

Definitely a great resort for the price we paid. We paid for a standard room and it was very standard - small, older flooring, older décor, and lacking a coffee maker, iron, ironing board, and alarm clock. However, the bed was very comfortable. Food at the buffet wasn't all that great, but the food at the a la care restaurants is amazing - and you get unlimited access with no reservations at them. The beach was beautiful and the water was crystal clear. I would rate this as a basic resort with three plus stars. If you are looking for a luxury vacation to Curacao, I suggest the Marriot. If you are looking for a relaxing, laid back vacation, Suncape is the place to go. Great location as it is not too close to the airport and city, but since the island is so small you are still able to explore it all from this resort.

Sonesta Great Bay Beach & Casino: Had a wonderful time!

The Hotel had the amenities that i needed. Hotel definitely needs an update but overall it is well kept and our our room was always serviced clean. Ocean view is a must as you wake up to a picturesque view. Food was good and most of the staff are friendly and always had a smile. My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at this resort.

Resort was great, close to the ocean and up to it's billing. Dining choices were limited, but the food was good, but would have liked a little more seafood. Staff in general were helpful with requests, although some seemed limited in their knowledge of the resort.

The hotel was really good, and the employees are very friendly, the food was good, and the entertainment as well. Overall, I spent an amazing time.... The locals on the island are very friendly which makes it more enjoyable. Lots of expat on the island as well, the cost of living is quite high, but it is worth the experience...

Sonesta Great Bay Beach & Casino: Average resort

The resort was average, we found our room had some cleanliness issues mainly mold in the bathroom. We had island view, but really it was a view of a retaining wall.. others that had island view could see a parking lot across the street. It is right in the city so it was on a busy road. Food was okay, but we have been to other resorts that served better food so we may be tougher critics than others. If you are younger and looking for a more lively vacation keep looking, this resort had bars that  [... read more]shut down at 11 most nights, only one would stay open past that time. The people that were with us made the trip, not the resort.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Good Resort

Organization a la carte in resort was awful, Sunwing representative at the resort excellent, Sunwing Workers at the airport (check in) arrogant and unwilling. We had big problems with our seats in the plane. We did not get booked and paid for a seat in the plane.

Sonesta Great Bay Beach & Casino: Relaxing retreat in beautiful Great Bay

The Sonesta Great Bay resort was a beautiful venue. I couldn't believe how gorgeous the view was. The proximity to Philipsburg village is very convenient and plays host to a string of beach bars and both local and high-end shopping. We attended with a group of approximately 56 people for a wedding celebration and we were happy with the beach and pool area and the variety of activities the resort facilitated throughout the day. Staff were generally friendly and accommodating except for the woman in the casino.

Sonesta Maho Beach: Had a fantastic vacation - met some amazing people

Grounds were well looked after, buffet dining room and food were excellent. Service at the restaurants was a little bit slow - most of the waitresses look bored and didn't smile. The Palms Restaurant menu needs to vary - not a great choice. The pool bar was good as was Palms. Lobby Bar always smelt of smoke. Night entertainment was non existent. Saturday night was supposed to have a disco at the Lobby Bar - and there was absolutely nothing.

The only thing this resort really had going for it was that the food wasn't bad. The bar tenders do not know how to mix drinks at all, not sure if it was the few I dealt with but most of the time the drinks were undrinkable. The staff didn't clean the rooms everyday, there were a couple of days the cleaning staff didn't do our room. We had reserved a room with a king sized bed, they only had 2 doubles for the whole week so my girlfriend and I were stuck with it. Literally every other beach on the island is better, it's coarsley broken shells mostly with sharp shards that can cut you, and the ocean isn't the best to swim in at that spot. The view isn't all that great either, mostly barges and cruise ships when they come in. Overall, I would definitely go to the island again, but I would not stay here.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Need to Work on Customer Service

We traveled to this hotel at the end of April 2015. We had been to Curacao on a cruise and wanted to return to get to know the island better. I would rate the hotel at a three star level. We have been to many resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean and this was one of our least favorites. We stayed in the tower section which seemed to have newer rooms and ours was fine. Starting when we arrived in our room to find the safe locked and no instructions on how to open or use it. A little thing yes,but there were a bunch of little irritants throughout our stay that made the hotel a disappointment.Some examples...watching the lady at the beach grill handle raw hamburgers and your hamburger bun without washing her hands,waiting endlessly to simply get water or coffee in the Buffet( which seemed totally disorganized), very slow service at the bars,many disinterested and unmotivated staff. On the positive side there were some very good staff (Jonathan in the Lobby bar) who were interested in providing good service,there just wasn't enough of them. The beach was quite nice. A visit downtown is definitely worthwhile but take the bus as the hotel shuttle never seemed to be available. We were disappointed with the quality of food in general and the lack of customer focus specifically. We would not recommend this hotel.

Sonesta Great Bay Beach & Casino: Pretty Nice Stay at Sonesta Great Bay & Casino

Room was nice and comfortable, maid service can take til late afternoon some days. Service in restaurant buffet slower than in other Caribbean destinations but if you are not in a hurry it won't matter. Coffee would normally arrive after our dessert was done, nice to have coffee with dessert. Most of the hotel staff was pleasant but came across a couple that were not very pleasant but overall the experience was a good one. Good location in Philipsburg, only a 10-15 minute walk to town.

We stayed at sunscape resort in May . it was one of the best vacations we have been on the resort is very clean ,very friendly staff , the food at the a la carte resturants is very good. We would defintey recommend this resort. Thank You Sunscape for an excellent vacation.

Sonesta Great Bay Beach & Casino: Second time back

We had such a good time last year we decided to go back again this year. Excellent spot especially with the ocean view this time. Food always good and staff always very friendly we would go back again. Music could be a little different to get the people dancing. Beach a little difficult to get out of - but the water is beautiful.

Sonesta Great Bay Beach & Casino: Enjoyable week away

Not the best beach around but relaxing. Food was satisfying. Seems meant for an older crowd as it seemed to have shut down around 11 pm. The island was beautiful with plenty to do excursion wise......
