Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: A great compact welcoming resort

A well thought out resort. Beautifully landscaped and clean. The restaurants will were very accommodating for seating our party of 12. The entertainment team was very enthusiastic.. We enjoyed aquafit and dancing /music by the fountain. The Western show was poorly planned and executed. Lots of shade protection at the beach and pool. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: All round great experience

Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana is a beautiful setting. Exquisite grounds exceptionally well kept. The ocean is only a few steps from the other emenities. Everything is well layed out, compact but with the feeling of a larger resort. Buildings are a little older but well maintained. The food was excellent and the alacart restaurants are very good. Punta Canada is a place to return to.

Dreams Huatulco: excellent customer service!!

Great resort, fabulous amenities, excellent customer service, superb location. Older demographic, nice and quiet and relaxing! I would not recommend this resort to a younger crowd. A lot of pools to choose from but hard to get a chair beyond 7am.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Beautiful resort

The grounds and beach at this hotel were gorgeous. Despite the rooms being dated, the views and cleanliness made up for what the rooms lacked (who spends much time in their room anyway?). The food was excellent, especially the Seaside Grill, Himitsu and the pizza at the beach. The buffet had more than enough variety and everything was excellent, both the food and the waitstaff. Only downsides: not enough bartenders (sometimes a long wait for a drink - at any bar), sales people on the beach a [... read more]nd on the grounds, and somewhat quiet night life. There could have been a lot of fun had at the music lounge but no one really seemed to make use of it.

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Beautiful resort but beware of upsells!

We went my husband, 5 year old daughter and I to this absolutely gorgeous and clean resort. It is truly spectacular from the moment you walk in there. But, the second we walked in, at the check in, I’m informed I have a ground level room which was my only request NOT to have. Then I was offered to upgrade my room for a discounted fee of 90$USD a night and I’m lucky because it normally should be 130$... nice way to start. I accepted and got a decent room with a decent view. We were there  [... read more]for 10 days and the resort was barely at 50% capacity. I could have gotten this room for free but they chose to charge us... Once that bitter taste faded, I was happy to enjoy the beautiful resort with the most attentive staff. They were very sweet and always had a smile on. My daughter LOVED going to the kids club. They take such good care of the kids!!!! But, they are turning this beautiful resort/chain of hotels into a time share. Every time you go to the front desk and/or concierge, you are asked to take the 1.5 hour “tour” to become a member of the time share. I expressed a few time that I wasn’t interested but it got to the point that I couldn’t even get a pricing on an excursion cos all they wanted was to sell me the timeshare. I finally fell in the trap and listened to the speech. I wasted 1.5 hour and at the end I didn’t even get what was promised to me (150$ in leisure cash and tickets to the paying show at the resort). Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed. Don’t waste your time listening to that and just enjoy the sun. Other than that, i Can honestly say, GO THERE!!!!! Love it!!!!

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Wonderful resort

The resort was well maintained, the grounds were taken care of every morning, plenty of food options. I loved the fact you didn’t need to wear a resort bracelet and there was plenty of lounges around the pool areas and on the beach. The young entertainment staff had so much energy, they kept busy with various activities, volleyball, water aerobics and then helped out with running the evening entertainment as well.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Nice Enough but on the Quiet Side

We vacationed at Dreams Palm Beach Feb 22-Mar 2. Myself, my husband, my mom, my cousin and her mom. I will review in sections. ROOMS – We had 3 rooms in total, Buildings 6 and 7. The rooms had nice decor, were clean and spacious, with sitting chair, table, marble floors, balcony with small table. Bathroom set up is strange, with a partially see through glass door on the way to the private toilet area and facing the front door so that you could not open front door if someone was taking a showe [... read more]r! Odd. It’s fine for a couple but may not work well for family members staying in same room. GROUNDS – The landscaping is well maintained throughout property. Unfortunately, in this area the beach has murky waters and lots of seaweed, no one really used it unless they walked left for 15 minutes or so. There is a small decent casino. The disco is not used much but can be fun if you get a group of people to go out and join you. The small gym is ok but is up 2 flights of stairs so my elderly mom could not use it. FOOD – Great but unfortunately if you are feeling sick, you don’t feel like eating much. In spite of taking Dukoral before the trip, 4 out of 5 of us were running to the bathroom far too often. Is it because of personal low immunity system or is the resort doing something wrong as far as food handling? I don’t know. Upon entering restaurants, they always enforced using hand sanitizer. Definitely bring imodium with you to the Dominican and it may help alleviate some symptoms should this happen to you. The buffet had plenty variety, with various stations, omelettes, pasta, soup, grill, pizza, fruit, Mexican, ice cream, etc. French restaurant was our least favorite, very long wait, forgot to take our order, they rushed around us, were abrupt to point of rudeness, very unlike the rest of resort. French onion soup was not the Canadian version – missing the toasted bread and cheese. The busboy did apologize at the end of the evening. After speaking with concierge, we were offered perks for my husband’s birthday. The Italian restaurant was by far our favorite (and we’re Italian!). The food was great, the service was amazing. On my husband’s birthday, they brought out additional dishes for us to sample, a birthday cake and champagne and sang happy birthday. It was awesome. We went to the Hibachi for the experience, however of the 3 tables offering the “cooking show” hope that you get the showman who can put on an exciting show for you. Ours was rather lackluster but the 2 tables on either side of us had a great show. With a 2/3 chance of getting the right one, give it a try! They offer you rice, chicken, beef and seafood. And sushi to start. Seaside Grill had great steaks, especially beef tenderloin. However, try to be there for 6:00 as the place fills up fast. SERVICE – The staff is very friendly and try hard to please you. From the hard working cleaning staff to the friendly hostesses like beautiful Perla at the buffet, adorable Stephanie at the restaurants and so many others. The receptionist staff and concierge will do all they can to make your stay enjoyable and resolve any issues you may have. Food & Beverage Manager resolved our restaurant issue quickly. ENTERTAINMENT – My favourite topic. Besides good food, if you haven’t got good entertainment, why bother going? My husband and I always make a friend or two on the entertainment team no matter which resort we go to. And this resort was no exception. Our favourite entertainment team staff member? Hands down, FELIX !!! What an awesome dude. My 83 year old mother and 75 year old aunt have never been to an all inclusive resort in their life, and Felix could not do enough for them to be sure that they felt welcome and that they were having a wonderful time. They cant stop talking about him. Just a wonderful, charming and infectious personality. Always ready to make them laugh or try to get them to dance and have some fun. He encouraged our group to play bocce, beach volleyball, pool volleyball, sing karaoke, Ironman competition, dance at the beach and mardi gras parties, try fruit carving and Spanish lessons. He was always trying to get us involved. If it wasn’t for Felix, I don’t think we would have had much fun. As far as the night shows, the Magic Show was awesome, the Circus Show very good, the Dominican Show also worth watching. Karaoke Night was fun, Mardi Gras party was fantastic. But please do not attend the Western Show, you will never get back those 2 hours of your life. Find something else to do, anything is better than the Western Show. The Cotton Eye Joe dance was good, the rest was painful. Entertainment Director Kobe is well aware of our opinion – we had a long discussion. Mr Dreams Palm Beach Owner – kindly revamp the Western Show – put in some good country music, lip syncing with country star impersonations, followed by some good line dancing with audience participation and get rid of the ridiculous skits. And if there is any way you can bring the Michael Jackson show to your hotel, I would highly recommend you do so as it is one of the best shows that circulated the Punta Cana resort zone. On another note, why no silly beach games? Why no foam party? Many of the Punta Cana resorts have them. They’re so much fun. Your resort attracts all age levels. There are guests who would participate in those activities. Just because you are called “Dreams” doesn’t mean you have to put people to sleep. Boring is not fun. For people who want the quiet areas, they can pay for preferred status and go to the quiet pools. The rest of the people can have fun. OVERALL – It’s a nice resort, rooms are nice, staff is great, food is good. It’s not a party, it’s on the quiet side. It could be improved with a few more daytime activities (Ironman was good.) Would I go again? Likely not, I don’t like to go to the same place twice, it’s a big world out there. Can I recommend it ? – Depends. If you are an active fun-loving couple, or with a group of energetic friends, I would say probably no. If you are taking your mother and aunt on their “dream” trip (no pun intended) – go for it !

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Dreams Dominicus

We had a wonderful time. Hotel was lovely, rooms were spacious and modern and clean. Lots of Great food. The grounds are beautiful. It's not a loud party place but had some nightly entertainment that was enjoyable. Very accommodating loved having a Butler service with the privilege package. Make sure to inquire about what he can offer during your stay.

Dreams Sands Cancun Resort and Spa: Powdery Sandy Beach

What we liked- 1. the beach was beautiful with powdery sand, calm and inviting, the best beach in the whole area. 2. The hotel accommodations in the preferred section was clean, well maintained, had comfortable beds and lots of hangers and big enough lock box for your laptops. 3. A la cart restaurants - Wave and Sands was my favourite with tasty pop corn shrimps, claim chowder and surf and turf but small portions. Bordeaux was another great restaurant, loved the fish and the beef tenderlo [... read more]in dishes. 4. Great staff that goes out of there way to please you 5. Free Water bottles in the room and bars Didn’t like - 1. Buffet was low quality and not much variety. Overall the food was below par. The Mexican food was below my expectations. 2. You have to ask for higher brand of alcohol otherwise you get the lower grade (ie tequila). The Strawberry daiquiri drink was terrible made from some red syrup 3. Cocktails and drinks served in plastic cups Overall i would rate it 3.5 out of 5.

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Nice little resort

Very quaint and well designed with space limitations. Overall a pleasant experience but not worth the money. Having been to a couple of other Dreams resorts found this one to be much lesser in overall value.

Dreams Playa Bonita Panama: dreams delight panama

the resort was good probably a 3 and half star pros: grounds were nice and clean, the staff very good, very relaxing you dont get bothered by merchants on the beach, 15 minutes from panama city and the canal cons: under staff some bars only have one waiter and u had to wait for for food because they would run out. the buffet and breakfast were always the same.the beach was not the best

Definitely recommended this hotel. Staff are exceptional and friendly Hotel and grounds kept immaculate. Plenty of great food options. Pools galore including infinity pool. Great two week stay. br /> We shall return

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Nice Resort with Issues

Resort sits on the main road to Bayahibe, with a constant flow of traffic. It is a gated resort and requires security posted at all entrances and exits. Lobby is very small with no evening entertainment whatsoever and one small bar and one bartender that has difficulty keeping up at times. We saw one waitress and she very rarely checked to see if we needed anything. The resort is long and narrow with very few 'alternate' paths that can be taken. There are 3 pools along the main strip to the be [... read more]ach, all well kept but had very few people at them. Never an issue getting a chair. Bar service was hard to find. The buffet and 'a la carte' restaurants were mediocre at best. The buffet offered the same selection everyday and there was rarely any type of potato to be found. The unlimted a la carte's were poor with the exception of The Seaside Grill, which was very good. All the others organized chaos with poor service. Anything other than wine to drink and you are in for a wait as they must go to one of the bars to get your beverage. Majority of the food was so heavily salted that you could not eat it. This was a recurring theme all week long. We were preferred club so our room was across the street in a 5 story brand new building, very clean and immaculate but did not feel Caribbean. It had a pool and a bar and the Flying Fish restaurant that was open for breakfast and lunch. The beach was amazing, crystal clear turquoise water and powdery white sand. Service at the preferred club section of the beach was good with it's own bar and snack area. BBQ everyday with burgers, dogs, chicken and salmon....all was very good and a welcome alternative to the buffet. Some evening entertainment at the beach, but really for the younger crowd. There was karaoke on Friday evening which was quite entertaining but was over by 10:30pm. So.....would we return.......not a chance. For the Dreams brand we expected better......everything.

Dreams Playa Bonita Panama: Quality Resort

Pleasant atmosphere, good service and a relaxing location. Staff are hard working. Location is private but not too far from excursions. Overall not too commercialized and noticeably no pressure sales.

Dreams Huatulco: amazing resort

The people there are very friendly, the place is always being clean and the weather was sunny and hot everyday. great vacation spot, will return. loved it. This is a very beautiful resort and the people that work there plus the people that visit were great. love it

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: No complaints

The experience at this resort has been the best in all the "all inclusive" resorts that I have visited in my extensive travels. Food, accommodations, staff are excellent. We never waited more than a few minutes to be seated or served at a restaurant.

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Nice Area

The hotel is a bit tired. The room we had was okay but smelled musty and was very damp. The beach is very small and only waist deep with lots of reef and seaweed. This is a place more suitable for family with children, there were many things for the children, a big pool and the resort did a lot of events with them. It was a bit small and noisy, with the lobby having live music every night, and many rooms are around the lobby area. The hotel has a nice staff that is very helpful and they had very good entertainment at night.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Beautiful resort

Beautiful resort with a stunning pool. It was too windy to use the beach much but it looked nice. Service was good and there were lots of activities during the day for both adults and children. Food was great although the a la carts didn't offer much vegetarian options. The entertainment shows were fun although they start a little late for the kids (9:30). Would go back again.

Dreams La Romana: Love this resort!

The resort was wonderful! The staff were all so friendly and provided great service. Beaches and pools were wonderful. Always a chair available. The unlimited a la carte dining was also fabulous! The views from the moment you woke til sunset... so beautiful. Lots of activities for all ages and clear that the staff really focused on you having a memorable experience.
