Ocean Coral Spring: Ocean Coral Spring

We were off to a good start, got the room requests we asked for but I had to call the resort as all of the emails kept bouncing back which in turn cost me about $30.00 for that call. Rooms were big, clean lots of space to organize. We had 2 rooms, my mom & daughter's room key didn't end up working and maintenance didn't come until almost midnight before they got let in. We ended up only eating breakfast here daily and sometimes had to wait over 20 minutes for water & cutlery. My advice.... find a server, sit there every day and you will get better service and a $1 tip goes a long way. The omelette chef was amazing, and I heard the juice bar was really good as well. I did also hear the handling of raw meat with bare hands happened which then touched the cooked pasta, i did not see this personally but i believe food handling training would be very beneficial for all staff. Italian: our favorite a la carte, ate their twice, service was good too. Some complained of small portions, so double up on ordering if you have a larger appetite. Route 66: This was good too, service was slow, brisket was good and the shrimp nachos were amazing. West Indian this was good too, again double up on ordering if you have a larger appetite. Japanese: WOW, great service, great food great entertainment. Line up at 10am to book reservations and you will get your pick of time. Red Snapper Lunch burgers undercooked so better to ask them to cook well done on the spot, not a wide variety but enough. A La carte for dinner, if you order patties order a few, they were amazing, the main course were average Jamaican Grill: WOW i think we had lunch 3 times from here, worth the wait for the jerk chicken and the yams were amazing. Maid Service, we had a great maid except the day she was off, we waited until 10pm to get toilet paper then our room cleaned @ 11pm we were exhausted. I probably spent about 2-3 hours of my vacation running back and forth to the lobby begging for TP & maid service. Unacceptable to wait for TP, just NOT Ok. Entertainment: there was enough during the day, big waterslide, wall climbing dance lessons, volley ball. for the Evening they should do the beach party twice a week and have more available seating around that area. I think bringing in outdoor vendors 1 or 2 days a week selling their items would have had a nice touch. Beach: it's rocky, bring water shoes and you will be fine. you can walk to public beach there were vendors there and horseback riding. They were trying to remove rock and add more umbrellas during the week so it was getting better. Bars: TERRIBLE. constantly ran out of beer. We were at the beach, the beach bar ran out, then went to red snapper, ran out, then went to pool bar ran out til we finally got to the lobby and they gave me draft beer when they had been giving us cans all week. I would say running out of beer was a daily frustrating occurrence. The servers on the beach were non existence or standing around ignoring us. My hubby got ignored at the sports bar daily as 5 would be standing around doing nothing. There is a lack of management to hold anyone accountable which was very frustrating. We chose this resort because we stayed @ oceans in Mexico and were really pleased. We knew there would be longer waits due to staff shortage but by Tuesday there were so much staff but again, just standing around not interested in customer service. We have booked with air transat for years, i can't believe air transat has allowed this lack of customer service as one of its hotels.

Ocean Maya Royale: Nice resort, not great beaches

Stayed here for a week with my boyfriend in March. The resort itself was wonderful! Staff were friendly and helpful, grounds were well maintained and clean, rooms were clean and nice. The 2 pools were great, one was a party pool with music and swim up bar and the other was 1-2 feet deep and more relaxed vibe. Was disappointed in the lack of chairs around the pool and beach. Other than that, the privilege wasn't a huge upgrade and would not recommend doing it. The beach property was very small and had a lot of seaweed, which they were trying to clean but it was a lot. So just wish there was more beach front to the property. The food was really good, even the buffet was great! Would highly recommend the hibachi a la carte, for sure was our favourite meal. Go early to any show, especially the beach shows, as there is also limited seating for that. The shows themselves weren't that great. Ive been to about 8 other all inclusive's and the nightly shows here were probably the worst I've seen. Not horrible, but not great. I would recommend this place, but I probably would not return, as for the price we paid, nothing stood out as amazing, so would try somewhere else. We did really enjoy our stay here though!

Ocean Eden Bay: Good experience

I was concerned after reading all of the negative reviews about the resort but I did not experience any major issues. The food was decent, the pool was amazing and there was always seating available, the room was fine with the fridge always full with drinks. The beachfront was small and quite rocky but I am more of a pool person so this didn’t bother me. Ocean Eden Bay: Nice New Resort with lots of Potential to be Great

Ocean Eden Bay is a new resort that unfortunately seems like it was rushed to be opened. While modern and clean you can see that they missed the mark in finishes. The tile work in the bathrooms is messy to say the least, paint is everywhere including on the gorgeous plants around the resort. That being said the views are stunning, the pools are great, and the food was great although the wait to get it at the a la carte restaurants was not. I recommend this resort but they definitely need to beef up the staff and pay attention to the finishes around the resort.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Good resort, wouldnt book with airtansat

The hotel was nice, especially the food offering! I loved all those litlle cosy places to grab snacks or drink (the crepe place, the smoothie bar, the ice cream parlor, the café! The bowling was a nice touch as well. I booked the privilège suite and it was very handy to be able to reach the buttler on my cell. The beach is rocky (broke 3 toes on a rock) but still nice without algae. The airtransat service on-site was not good. The information shared for covid testing at the hotel was not accur [... read more]ate and we ended up running to playa del carmen last minute to get tested. Also we have been told that they could not answer questions with regards to airport transportation and kept refering us to the app. The app was down so we had to wait a long time in the lobby to make sure we dont miss the boss. Except for that I would definitly go back!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: not as good, but still a great option!

we were at the original 2 years ago, at the time things were a tad better, only real current issue is lack of staff, other then that we still think its hard to beat for the money, ac vacations canceled our flight and we were moved, communication about what was going on was terrible. Ocean Eden Bay: Very good resort

I found thr restaurants very good food of good quality and well prepared. Room was large and clean. Grounds are well maintained, with lots of security. The bars are well stocked with premium alcohol and bartenders knowledgeable in shaking up nice and varied cocktails however we understood it to be a adult only resort,but with the ocean eden next door children are allowed into the restaurant area. The staff were most helpful and pleasant

Ocean Coral Spring: Extremely poorly managed resort with the worst beach I've ever seen

This resort has the worst beach in the entire Caribbean. It's filled with sharp and jagged rocks which makes it impossible to enter or even swim. Everyone hangs out by the pool but there is a lack of chairs and beds so everyone has to wake up at 6am to reserve chairs/beds by putting their towels and belongings. If you arrive to the pool by 8am, there are literally no free chairs or beds left. There are long lines to eat at all of the restaurants and the buffet. The restaurants don't take re [... read more]servations so we would arrive 30 minutes before it opened in order to get a table. The furniture in the rooms are stained and our balcony was infested with mosquitos. If you need to call the front desk, they never answer the phone so it's impossible to get help with anything (e.g. extra towels, assistance with luggage, room service, etc). Our room had no hangers or robes or even a bath mat. We also had no hand or face towels and on one day we had no towels at all and had to borrow some of the room next door because no one would answer the phone at the front desk. It boggles my mind that this place is rated as 5-stars.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: It was ok

We purchased an adult only privilege holiday for 2 weeks. Pros: great animation team, nice rooms, comfortable beds, lots of activities available throughout the day to take part in, Mike's coffee was amazingly good, and a daily visit was our favorite daytime activity. Privilege restaurant, (when open), was great! Pools where wonderful and chairs were available. Outdoor dinning was available at most restaurants. Restaurant availability for booking was poor (and being privilege, doesn't give you any benefits) . Only was able to book once at Steakhouse, once at Blue moon, and they ran out of steaks while we were at steak restaurant. Beach was just ok, so we didn't go too often. (Twice during stay), Music around the pool was geared to the 20 year olds and was played so loud that you couldn't talk to someone sitting next to you, and not enough umbrellas considering it's in full sun most days. Also, the sound would bounce off the buildings and get an echo. The buffet had very little meat options, compared to other resorts, and was not a lot of variety. Breakfast main buffet was good, but couldn't get bacon at any time. We wouldn't recommend the privilege as we were the farthest room away from the beach where all privilege restaurants were. There was no privilege bar or lounge, just 2 restaurants that rotated being opened..the availability was also were difficult to get into, unless you wanted to eat very early or very very late. They seamed understaffed, yet they said they were 90% full. Most staff were great, but seemed like they were understaffed all the time, so waiting was a big part of a meal. We tipped very well, at every meal, almost with every drink. The pool staff were great and an extra shout out to Luie and adult pool bar staff.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Lovely resort

The grounds were beautiful and well manicured.Staff was friendly always said hello.Our room was very comfortable and had a ocean view.The buffet food was always the same.No carving station that we are used too.Most 5 stars decarate the dining room different evernight.Pool chair's lacking

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Needs improvements

First impression of resort was good. Service needs improvement. Grounds and pool seemed well looked after. Our private rooftop patio was our saviour for making our trip until a drone was flown above it and violating our privacy.So upset that I made a formal complaint. Not that I believe it’ll go anywhere. Most food was lukewarm at best. Few servers were very attentive. Some hostesses were rude. Few understood English. Ocean El Faro: Home away from home

The rooms were hugh and very comfortable. There were lots to choose from for food. One draw back is the resort does not not accept reservations for the a la cart restaurants. Therefore you end up standing in line waiting for a table to open up for your dinner instead of relaxing with a beverage until your dinner time. Dealing with the staff at the front desk was not a great experience.

Ocean Eden Bay: So Much Potential, but Disappointing Service

This resort has wonderful interior design. It was very clear that whomever the designer(s) are, they are very on trend. The food was delicious. BUT the service was terrible. This is classified as a 5 star and my partner and we had upgraded to the "Privilege" level of the resort which is supposed to provide you as a guest with top-level service and perks. At check in, we were not greeted by anyone at the front door direction between the "Privilege" check-in desk and the regular desk - we had  [... read more]to learn that the hard way after standing in the general lineup to check in. We were handed a package by the clerk after checking in properly and told to wait for our "Butler". He dropped us off at our room, gave us a phone number to reach him on and went on his way. There was no explanation of how things work at the resort, what our reservation number was (which you need for room service), how to use our hot tub in our room, etc. I'll spare most of the nitty-gritty details for everything but we had several issues such as feeling like we were inconveniencing the bar staff when we wanted drinks, reservations were not scheduled correctly, wait times at restaurants were REALLY long and they did not have enough staff to fill the restaurants at dinner. Room service did not show up on a few occasions and once came 1.5 hours later, ice cold. We were supposed to also received a fully stocked "premium bar" in our room fridge....all that was was 1 small shot of vodka. EVERYONE we spoke to at the resort was having the same issues. Disorganization, rude customer service from many bar tenders, long wait times, not the service we paid for, running out of wine at restaurants, not having all of the menu options available (and I'm talking they would normally say that 3 to 4 items on the menus were not available and there are 7 options overall), etc. The beach was small and full of coral rock, but still beautiful. As privilege guests, we were also supposed to receive beach service. We got that for 1 hour on only 1 day of our entire week stay.... The pool was beautiful. And they tried some entertainment, but it was the same every day and needed a bit more oomph to get people going. Our PCR test was a disaster. They ran out of tests after 35 were done...knowing there were 200 appointments that day. My partner received his results the night before our departure and I had to stand in line 40 minutes before my bus departure to have mine resent because it didn't make it to me...this happened to countless others leaving that day with us as well. The positives were that the support staff (like our housekeeper) was amazing and the food was really great when you finally got it.

Hotel was very clean, staff very friendly. Our room was very close to the beach. Only issue was trying to book one of the restaurants only managed to book one rest of the time we had to go to the buffet. Overall the food and coffee shop was good. Rooms are big and spacious. I must say our booking rep at Trip Central Kevin Dupuis was exceptional from our confirmation to every bit of information you would require

Ocean Blue and Sand: Well maintained resort

Very enjoyable experience staying at this resort. Clean, well managed, recently renovated suits. Good food with a lot of variety and choices . Enforced covid protocols. Excellent coffee in the coffee shop. Will recommend to anybody, solo, couples or families .

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Great resort - walkers beware it's a big one

Ocean El Faro has everything you need. We upgraded to Priviledge which unlocked a few more dining options, better alcohol, better wifi etc I would say it was worth it but the cost wasn't that different than the general room so we decided to do it. Food wasn't amazing overall but my family enjoyed it! The beach was okay very rocky and not sandy white but it was still not 3 ft of snow. Pools were great, entertainment was great. Servers constantly walking around if you need anything (the better [... read more] you tip the faster they come by). Room overall was nice, some details they could improve on but it was quite modern!

Ocean Eden Bay: Great Resort. Music Too Loud

We stayed at the Ocean Eden Bay resort from Feb 04-11/22. The rooms were amazing with the swim up pool. Food was amazing. Just the music was constant. At the beach, around the pool and at night. Loud and total unnecessary.

Ocean Blue and Sand: A Good Resort

It’s a good resort but definitely wouldn’t of enjoyed it if I didn’t have a privilege room. The perks made it better but I wouldn’t return. It’s an older building with a small beach area. If your not privileged you have to wait in line for a restaurant. Service is good when you tip a lot

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Amazing resort

Had a fantastic time. Clean and friendly resort. Love that they clean the beach every day too. The staff are friendly, food was fantastic and unexpected. Clean rooms, when we had a problem with no our toilet they came and fixed it right away. Love the cat hotel and all the wildlife. Highly recommended.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Awesome restort

The Ocean Riviera Paradise was an awesome resort. Service and restaurant choices were great. Entertainment was lacking but they tried hard but needed more seating in the outdoor court yard while the Entertainment was going on. Covid testing was fine at the resort but the Transat rep wanted us to do it off site through them which was more expensive we went with the resort and had our results back within 10 hours.
