Sunscape Curacao Resort: Friendly staff, nice beach

Buffet dining area needs fans!! Grill had good food with great view of beach. Grounds nicely kept. Snorkelling amazing. Rooms tired but clean. All staff very friendly. Maid didn't always put beer in bar fridge in room even when note left. Gym adequate all equipment worked pretty good. Good value for money paid.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Piece of Paradise

We have become fans of the Sunscape chain and this was our first visit to this location. The suite we had was simply amazing across from the tropical forest and steps from the beach. The hotel staff were excellent, friendly, courteous and helpful. We enjoyed the restaurants and can highly recommend the deep-fried tempura ice cream at the Asian restaurant. The catamaran/snorkel excursion also picks you up right at the beach for a fantastic day of sailing/snorkelling and fun. If you are looking for some fun poolside activities, be sure to partake in the Saturday afternoon foam pool party. Tip - be sure to have your travel mug with a lid if you are having a beverage at the pool bar when the foam starts. We will definitely be repeat guests at this resort.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Amazing Resort

This resort was amazing! The beach is just beautiful..the water warm and calm. The staff is friendly and very accommodating to anything you may ask of them. We did not run into one unhappy staff member. Our room was clean and restocked everyday with our favorite drinks. The buffet was very good. The Steak and Italian restaurants were my favorites as we ate at both of them twice. We got to the Seafood restaurant only once but it was also very good. Sunscape Curacao Resort: Great Place!!

The room was super. The grounds, the staff and the service were exemplary. We would return for another week in a heartbeat. Our daughter got married there recently and from what I could tell, all the arrangements were spot on and the wedding as well as the reception went perfectly.

Sunscape Splash: Great Time

Had a fantastic stay for my family. It was my daughters (7 yr old) first all inclusive trip and she was smiling from start to finish. This is a family friendly resort that includes a great waterpark w/slides and lazy river. We had been delightedly upgraded to the Cove to help accommodate one of our party that needed ground floor accommodations. The staff is top notch and a special thank you to Vinroy who visited us frequently to see if we needed anything or just to chat. The Split in half p [... read more]ool bar (one side family one side only adult) is a great idea. This way the families can enjoy on one side while letting adults on the other side enjoy kid free. BTW - 20-25 mins to airport.

Sunscape Splash: What a great time!

We just got back from the Sunscape Splash - we stayed on the cove side. The rooms were nothing special, but they were clean and well taken care of. The staff was absolutely fantastic - and the food was great! The best I've had of all other places I've gone to in Jamaica in the past. We brought our 7 year old daughter with us for the first time and she completely loved it. I would 100% recommend this resort.

Omelet stations and bars require more people to work the grill and serve drinks. Gorgeous beach. Travel club seminars--too pushy. Entertainment is lack luster. Overall we would go back. The weather is always amazing!

Sunscape Curacao Resort: 10th Wedding Anniversary

This was our first time at Curacao and Sunscape resort. It was recommended by friends. The Beach was beautiful and water clean and turquoise blue, with lots of fish swimming around! Great for snorkeling! The resort is about 40 years old and needs major upgrades, such as installing screens on the balconies to prevent bugs from entering the rooms; removal of mildew in bathrooms, installing fans in bathrooms and upgrading beds and pillows due to musty smells. Great management staff who accommodated our personal issues in timely manner and followed up with us to make sure all was OK. The food was good but lacked variety and freshness - always hit and miss with same during breakfast, lunch or dinner at the buffet restaurant World Cafe. The best a la care restaurants were Oceana and Blue Water Grill! Great wait staff, as well as at the bars! We didn't use the spa or casino, so can't comment on the customer service. A big bonus was having a nurse on the resort - we had to use the services of nurse Consuela and she was very pleasant and knowledgeable, and our son was very happy with her! The temperatures were extremely hot, 34 c every day, with high humidity, no cool fronts and you constantly sweat, which was hard on our son. We made the best of our stay, and would only return if management considers our suggestions for improvement of the resort.

Sunscape Splash: Great family resort

This is an amazing resort. The food is excellent and the people are the best, so friendly and always smiling. The resort is very clean and the beach also. The drinks are plentiful and tasty. The entertainment staff people rock all day and evening. Our house keeper Sonia is the best. A lovely lady. So come down and enjoy all they have to offer.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort! It has a nice beach with a calm, enclosed swimming area. We enjoyed not having to make dinner reservations for any of the 4 a-la-carte restaurants (Italian, Tepenyaki, Seafood and Grill). If you arrived for dinner and the restaurant of your choice was full, they would give you a beeper to carry so you could go back to your room to relax or to the bar to have a drink. We also liked having a coffee shop where you could order from a selection of hot and cold coffees at any time of the day. The resort staff were all very friendly and helpful. In particular, the manager Jose and "Johnny Rocket" of the event staff made the week even more enjoyable. The rooms are a bit older but they were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The only negative was the spa which is extremely high in price ($149US for a 50 minute massage) and low in quality (I had the most gentle deep tissue massage I've ever had). Overall, we highly recommend this resort. Especially for couples looking for a quiet get-away or for families with young children.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: exceptional staff, great location

The Sunscape Curaco Resort is well situated on the island and arguably has the most attentive caring staff I've ever encountered at an all-inclusive. The meals were really good, I especially enjoyed the Japanese restaurant. Service over-all on the resort is excellent. The rooms are nice, clean and large (I stayed in the tower), however, I would like to see an update of the bathroom. Sunscape Splash: Could be better

Overall the hotel itself was good. However..the beach was awful...too much seamoss engulfed the majority of the seashore. The food was amazing. The day and evening entertainment was unorganized and unprofessional.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Creepy vacation

My wife, daughter and myself were looking forward to Curacao but upon our arrival were so disappointed. We stayed at the Sunscape resort which looked and felt like subsidized housing. Our room was awful, the beach was Ok and the food was at best adequate. At that point we thought to make the best of it. Our second day we were made to feel so uncomfortable by one of the hotels security guards by his staring inappropriately at our eleven year old daughter. This man was going as far as c [... read more]ircling around her and looking up and down at her and trying to talk to her!! What a creep! When we asked him why he was doing this another security guard approached and made rude and disqusting remarks about our daughter then made threating gestures at me. We immediately complained to the general manager who had both security guards removed from the property after reviewing the survalance video. All we wanted to do at that point was to get back home but had to wait until Thursday to get out of there. We would never go back to the Curacao Sunscape Resort if you booked us a free trip!

Sunscape is delightful. Big rooms and balcony. The best beds ever. The staff super courteous and always helpful. The very best night time entertainment with quality performers. And, lets not forget the food and restaurants all +AAA Looking forward to next year ... To do it again ❤️

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Fantastic resort

Hotel was spotless everywhere staff was about the friendliest I've ever experienced and food was amazing no repeats in the buffet the alacarte were also great no reservations required and could visit as many times you wanted also the resort was close to all attractions the only negative review I would complain about was the wifi it was hit and miss and the lobby should have some ceiling fans for air movement

We stayed at the Sunscape Resort the 1st week of Sept. This resort was lovely. We had an ocean front room, that was well appointed with, a mini frig (stocked w/ soda, & beer.) Flat screen tv, in room safe (no extra charge) Iron, plenty of drawers, shelves large closet and a nice washroom, w/ a few toiletries, a big shower stall & always hot water.Maids did a wonderful job each day. A little rocky to enter in spots but easy to navigate where to enter. There is a break wall a few yrds. out, it makes for calm waters & nice snorkeling The buffet food was pretty good, we liked breakfast & lunch here especially. Some days we found the service ( refilling water & drinks) to be a bit slow but, hey your on vacation. All the a la carte restaurants were very good we tried them all & enjoyed them all, here the service was great. All restaurants are open air either on the ocean or have ocean views and the Italian has indoor seating w/ ac as well as outdoor tables..Heavenly to sit under the stars with the site & sounds of the ocean. The whole resort was clean the staff friendly .We enjoyed the island of Curacao as well. We would recommend The Sunscape Resort Curacao..Go & enjoy.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: great vacation

the Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable, grounds were well kept. We stayed in the Royal Tower and even though it was not an ocean view room, the balcony was large and the view from the right side showed ocean. House keeping was good, however we had requested a blanket on the bed and two coffee mugs (only one in the room when we arrived) we never did receive them and after a couple of days we stopped getting the coffee tray filled. Restaurants were O K, was a  [... read more]little disappointed with the evening buffet choices, however we did eat mostly at the bluewater grill, and was very satisfied with their meals. The morning coffee was good at the Cafe and they always had fruit and snacks available, Bar at the pool was great and the staff there always friendly. I would go back to this hotel again. Loved the way the pool area was set up and the entertainment staff and performers were great. Would be nice if they had some more shade on the pool deck.

Sunscape Splash: Definitely a resort to go and explore

The sunscape splash resort was amazing ,from the views to the service and to the entertainment. The food was delicious my favorite was the buffet breakfest but all the food was great from the"barefootgrill" to the 24 hour snack shop and the fancy Italian,seafood and Asian . The service was great, the bar tenders were friendly and fun, the maids were nice neat and kind. The lifeguard's for the pools and water slides were making sure people had a great time . The sunset mountains and water are beautiful the coral and ocean sea life were on of my favorite parts because I love fish and plants highly recommend this resort to everyone . Sunscape Splash: We love Jamaica!

Having travelled to Jamaica many times, this was the first trip with my children, aged 22, 18 and 5. We were pleasantly surprised that the ride from the airport was short and sweet. we were escorted to our hotel room promptly. The resort was beautiful and everyone was more than welcoming. Our visit was an excellent opportunity to unwind. We were unhappy with the beach, as it was very rocky and lots of seaweed. Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: Friendly,casual resort

We had a great vacation at Sunscape. The best thing was the snorkelling right off the beach. The room was average with a poor view (staircase). The bathroom was in need of new fixtures and water leaked all over the floor when using the shower. Maid service was good. They need more people during check in. We met many friendly people from Canada and the US.
