Sunscape Curacao Resort: A resort that is in need of an upgrade

Although the resort was neat and clean the rooms were very dated and unacceptable to me. The rooms were very musty smelling and I had to ask for a change in room which the resort did provide to me in the newer section of the resort.

Breezes Bahamas: Amazing 8 nite 9 day stay

We had an amazing vacation at breezes ..not at all what we expected after reading all the negative reviews We were impressed from the time we drove up to the resort Beautiful bright colourful lobby and reception..room was clean spacious and overlooked the ocean and pool..we could see the ships arriving and leaving from our bed Every meal was well prepared presented and delicious from the buffet to the al a carts to the mouthwatering burgers at the grill pool side Can say enough about the staff.. [... read more]friendly ..and always there for all our needs ..funky d and his band were awesome Special thanks to Jeffery Stubbs and the management Oscar..Jason..Joey.angela and Christine Will definatley return ..not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from but they aren't talking about breezes

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Wonderful Staff and great service. Top Notch!!

We were 16 men on a golf vacation. We WILL be going back and as long as everything is the same, will most likely grow in size and make it our annual destination of choice. Wonderful Staff and great service. Top Notch!! Would highly recommend this place.

Hotel Bella Costa: Very good resort!

I've been traveling for over 20 years all over Mexico and the carribean an Cuba four times. Bella costa was by far my favorite varadero stay!!!! It is a great location and I love the layout of the hotel. It's old but very clean and great food, for real!!!! I recommend this hotel because of the staff, location, beach and food and the LOVELY live bands that play in the lobby in the evening ... Wonderful!!!

Memories Jibacoa: A place to come home to!

This was our third visit to the resort over 10 years and it truly felt like coming home to visit. The staff were pleasant, warm and made us feel welcome. The rooms are being upgraded which was needed and with new owners (Blue Diamond resorts) taking over I am sure other changes will occur. Much evaluation was witnessed of the facilities and staff. Service was pleasant in the restaurants and bars. Food selection was good, however freshness & variety of vegetables was an issue at times. We only tr [... read more]ied one a la carte Taberna as was difficult to book in as needed to book several days ahead. Services such as money exchange, towel exchange, gift shops, snack deli, housekeeping, repair services were all very good. The resort attracts an older crowd so I am hoping they may add some services & offer more excursions to attract more 40-60s crowd. A spa is in the works which I look forward to and a massage hut on the beach was also a welcome addition. This service could use an additional staff member to take bookings and payment or advertise/make bookings in the lobby where you have to pay for the service. Snorkeling is still top quality when weather permits and the beach has suffered some this winter with northern storms. Plenty of chairs at pool and beach but palapas at beach look a little weather beaten. The pool is really cool in winter but great on a hot day. All together a pleasant repeat holiday and look forward to seeing what will become of this adults only Cuban treasure in Jibacoa. We met several folks on there 10th visit! We will go again for sure.

Hotel Bella Costa: Fantastic Time!

Overall this was a great hotel. Rooms were clean and pool areas, restaurants and lobby were well maintained. Staff were friendly and gave great service. The daily and nightly activities were always fun. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Bella Costa: Good family resort

Traveled in January 2015 with 5 kids under 12 - everyone had a great time. Beach was amazing. Food selection was good enough for kids, the adults had some complaints. Staff was great. Rooms were quite run down. Needs a reno.

Hotel Bella Costa: Very good value resort on a great beach

Varadero beach is world class, long and wide with soft sand, gentle drop, sandbars and fun waves. A great place for a walk - we strolled the beach from the resort for an hour to get to the downtown market area of Varadero (cab back in a 1927 Ford cost 10 peso). Another significant reason we don't hesitate to enjoy a Cuban vacation is safety. Although bad can happen anywhere it is very unlikely here. We were confident leaving the resort, day or night. We did not go hungry and always found good food for each meal. Highlights were the beach buffet for cappuccino, main buffet for fresh omelets and croissants, bbq pork at the dinner buffet and the Japanese restaurant. That said, this is not four star dining. The resort itself was clean, it works well and it's not too big. The ratio of bar/restaurant/staff per person is good which translates to minimal delays for food, drinks, concierge etc. Our room was very nice with a king bed, very large deck with ocean and golf course views, in-room coffee, ample hot water. But the buildings are looking a little tired.

Hotel Bella Costa: Beautiful beach!

Had a great time at Breezes Bella Costa. Great staff and can't beat the hotel location right off the beach. The accommodations were good, but request a room away from the main road as buses dropped off and picked up people all night.

Breezes Bahamas: Decent Resort

This resort is exceptionally clean and neat. Food average. If you want a balcony you must not expect one. They have only French Balconies (8 inch platform ) Only the ground floor has a terrance which they charged extra per night. The beach was perfect.

Breezes Bahamas: superb experience

My husband and I enjoyed seven wonderful days and nights at the Breezes hotel , Cable Beach, New providence and I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our time there. The staff were so friendly and no request was ever made to feel an imposition, they really helped us to relax and recharge our batteries. The food was varied and plentiful, the facilities clean and well tended. Hotel Bella Costa: Over-priced

This is definitely not a 4-star hotel, even by Cuban standards. If you tip the staff well, then you will receive friendly service. On the plus side, the beach is fabulous and the hotel location is good. Some rooms still need upgrading. So, don't hesitate to ask for a room change.

Hotel Los Cactus: Quiet...Not Bad

Just got home from Breezes Varadero. Everything was clean, gorgeous beach, decent entertainment at night, people are great. Always chairs available at the beach and the pool. Our gardenview room had a separate small bedroom so was very nice for 2 singles. The food was just okay, but you shouldn't be going to Cuba for the food. I don't know if a 5 star in Cuba would maybe have better. We found the resort very quiet and not much in the way of activities. It did not have the constant Cuban music bl [... read more]aring all the time which was nice, but the scheduled aqua classes and stuff didn't seem to happen, likely because of lack of interest. I think there may have been a number of repeat people and older people staying for a longer period. Likely not the best place for young people looking to party. We had a delay getting home, and that seems to be an issue with Cuba, but this time it was a mechanical failure on the plane.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Beautiful country, Sunscape good/average

The resort grounds are absolutely beautiful thanks to the amazing grounds people. The beach rocky but water and break-water wall is fantastic for swimming and snorkeling. Food OK - fish fantastic, staff friendly for the most part, some are absolutely miserable. Entertainment staff seem to all be apprentices and a bit unsure what to do but willing to get you motivated and try to make your vacation fun. Queen Emma pontoon bridge neat to see. Place Bieu a fantastic place for lunch for a true Curacao home cooked meal - Iguana soup available. All in all a great vacation at a nice resort! Sunwing flight attendants not very nice on the trip to Curacao (flight back better), seem to just be interested in getting their job done by the schedule and don't care about the people they are actually supposed to be serving!

Breezes Bahamas: Overall a very nice vacation

Had a great time at the resort and in Nassau. Beach and water at the resort are excellent. For an older resort it is nicely maintained and the staff do try hard to enhance your stay. Nightly entertainment by Funky D was great and the disco afterwards was fun too. We would return to the Breezes in the Bahamas for sure.

Hotel Bella Costa: Nice Resort for family

Stayed in connecting rooms on the fourth floor (no balcony) at the Breezes Bella Costa in Veradero. January 26 to February 2. Had a nice time with my family of four. Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not smile upon us as we only had 2 sunny days, the rest were pretty much cloud covered. C’est la vie. Staff is friendly and courteous. Only thing the mini fridge is for is water, never stocked with anything else Need to fix room doors as they either slam or need to be slammed to close. Makes sleeping soundly an issue Wait times for Egg station, Pasta station a little too long IMHO

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Mr. Doug MANTO

Nice room, clean grounds. Nice variety of restaurants. Beef found to be tough, sand bugs biteting the legs is a problem (unknown if anything can be done about them ) Polite and helpful staff. Excelent weather.

Hotel Bella Costa: Excellent Trip

We were upgraded to a Suite without even asking. The food was amazing. Lobster tail on Thursday, we each had 5 of them. Yes, it's every Thursday. One complaint many people have is the food is not good. I can assure you, the food here is excellent. Building is slightly old which shows, but the hotel is kept clean with the cleaners cleaning your room every day and providing fresh towels.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Loved Loved Loved it!

Just returned from this wonderful resort where we stayed my husband and I (alone for the first time in over 7 years). First time to Jamaica too. We were more than satisfied. This place exceeded our expectations. We loved our room situated on the Cove where we could hear the ocean less than 50 feet away. The staff is the most amazing staff I have ever had in a resort. Hotel Bella Costa: Exceeded my expectations.

I always find going on such vacations, you need to have low expectations. What can you expect when their main dependency is tourism. We stayed in the family suite, which was a loft style accommodation, 2 bed rooms upstairs and family room style on the main floor. Food was better then other resorts in Cuba, with lot's of choices, people were very friendly.
