Great trip!

The beach was amazing! The resort was well kept and had good food at all the restaurants. The place was quiet while we were there, with most of the people staying at the time being 50 or over. The gym was poor and didn't measure up to the level of other amenities on the resort.

Heaven on earth

It was fantastic, the people were great especially the pool staff. The grounds were outstanding and very well maintained. The room were spacious , cozy and kept very clean. The food was delicious as was the al a carte restaurants. All the staff were exceptional they went above and beyond to make us feel at home and part if their family. This was my first all inclusive trip but definitely not my last!

Lovely adults only resort

We thought this resort was ideal - location and all the facilities were excellent. Food in the main buffet in the lobby was good, and our favourite restaurant was the Don Pablo. Most days we ate lunch at the beach restaurant and found lots of variety, all well prepared and presented.

Ambar luxury

The overall atmosphere at the Ambar is luxurious yet comfortable. The rooms are well appointed and the layout of the resort makes the beach, the pool and the restaurants a short easy walk to get to. Although guests have access to restaurants in all of the Bahia Principe property, next time we would only eat at the Ambar because the restaurants are of a much higher quality.the property is beautiful and well maintained. There were many little special touches such as the martini bar in the lobby, t [... read more]he candles in the ground floor villa walkways and the white glove pool party, all of which made it fun and a bit different from other all inclusives we stayed at. You'll pay a little more to stay at the Ambar but it is well worth it and we will certainly be back.

Great anniversary trip!

We had an amazing time at Ambar. The beach, rooms, service and shows were amazing. The resort staff found out that it was our anniversary so they decorated our room. We would definitely recommend the resort.

Awesome resort!

Beach is amazing. The resort is very well maintained with beautifully manicured landcaping. We stayed at the Ambaar adults only property. Perfect property. Many a la carte themed restaurants included for every night of our stay.

Great resort

The beach was awesome. Wonderful service . The food was very good . The grounds are besutiful .rooms just average . The best food out of all dominican resorts we have been to . House keeping excellent .we will definetly be returning .

Wonderful resort!

The hotel was fantastic and the grounds were immaculate! The staff was very courteous and accommodating - it made us feel very special. This was a trip for myself and my daughter after losing my husband. We enjoyed ourselves and as travelling for the first time alone, felt very comfortable and safe at all times.

Best vacation!

I went to this resort in June 2013 with my boyfriend. It was our first vacation together and it was amazing. The room was nice, big and clean. We had it cleaned everyday with our fridge being restocked as well. The food is better than what I expected. The beach was amazing. Also, having private access to ambar's section but being able to go to all the other grand bahias was definitely a plus! The only downside id say is that the service was a bit slow. Would still love to go back anytime!
