Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Repeat customer

I have stayed at Iberostar hotels number of times. Generally speaking, our overall experience has been great. However this time, I found the breakfast was not as good as I have always expereinced. Choice of fruit was less than satisfactory, bacon trays were empty at both ends of buffet, service was not as good, coffee served at the table was cold. Tables were not cleaned and cutlery not setup promptly. I had some time spend a bit of time looking for a clean table.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Very nice

Overall the hotel was lovely again, we went to the same place last year and enjoyed it. The restaurants are lovely and the pools are plentiful and fun. The feedback I would give is that the housekeeping could be slightly better, little things like sometimes our room was close to running out of toilet paper, And towels

Viva Miches by Wyndham: ECO Resort

The resort grounds was well kept and the room was very clean. The location and beach was amazing with no other resorts close by. The food was good and the staff was friendly and helpful. My stay was very relaxing. My only negative was the nightly entertainment started too late.

Occidental Punta Cana: Occidental review

This was our third time here at this resort and again it did not let’s us down, The grounds are very well kept, the staff is first rate, they go well beyond what is expected of them. Beautiful beach that you could walk for miles on end , what we like most of all is that all is in walking distance , the beach, the restaurants, and the main lobby. Our only dislike this year was the nightly entertainment, you could do away with the Kareoke.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Barcelo Bavaro Beach

Great place for a 5 day escape.The golf course was our main reason for being there and it exceeded our expectations. The food and drinks were plentiful and the a la carts restaurants were a great option other than buffets.

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Serenade All Suites - Great Hotel in Punta Cana

This was our third visit to the Serenade All Suites Resort. It is a great resort in every aspect. The beach, food, drinks, hotel room, the entire complex and the staff are excellent. We would totally return and recommend this resort to any one considering a trip to Punta Cana.

Ocean Blue and Sand: One of my favorites

Mike's coffee is the best, the grounds are always looked after. Route 66 menu needs updating, other food options were good. Beach was awesome! We will go back any chance that we get. Shuttle service from the airport was slow due to construction.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Fun Resort

Just came back from a week long stay at Dreams Onyx for a family wedding. The resort is the perfect backdrop for a beach wedding with it’s picturesque views. It’s family friendly for all ages to enjoy including a fun water park. We also spent time at the neighbour resort “Breathless” where it’s adult only. Both resorts had great food options and the staff were very accommodating to ensure our stay was perfect.

Riu Palace Macao: My new home away from home

We just returned home from 11 glorious days at Rio, Palace Macao. I have to say that this is the most beautiful resort that we have ever been to, and there have been a lot. I was so impressed with the cleanliness and the upkeep of the entire resort, including the beach. The food was more than we ever could’ve asked for and the service was amazing. As far as our room goes, we had a superior junior suite which they actually upgraded us to when we arrived. Our room was a little bit musty when we first walked in, but it had not been used for a few days so had been closed up. I went to the front desk and asked them if they could spray when they cleaned the next day and they did and it made a big difference. I also highly recommend taking the moisture bags and hanging a couple in your room as it was amazing the difference they made. I loved the location of our room as well. We were in the corner tower overlooking the swim up bar pool , so we had lots to watch late afternoon when the parties began. We never attended any of the pool parties but everyone that did had a great time but we did enjoy listening to the music. I highly recommend this resort to anyone who wants an adult only wonderful vacation. We definitely will be returning as I cannot think of another resort that would give us everything that we wanted and then some.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Amazing Resort

Staying at the Grand Sirenis Punta Cana was a wonderful experience. The resort was beautiful, the beaches were the best we have ever been to, the grounds were immaculate, our room was comfortable, clean and always cared well for.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Great Hotel

Great Hotel and location, excellent friendly Staff, Good restaurants and bars. only issue was that rooms need to be up dated specially the bath room. plumbing issues, doors not closing. and very tight space between the Bath Tub and the Toilet. shower inside a Bath Tub is not suitable for many guests. just a nice shower will do the trick. shuttle between hotels was great, enjoyed the nice Pool and the Beach, will be back,

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing time away

My friend and I recently returned from the Dominican and stayed at the Bahia Priciple Punta Cana Grand this is a beautiful resort with many things to see and do for the young and old lots of kids events, adult activities and entertainment many pools restaurants shopping and dining for everyone... Top notch service, so respectful, also Ramona and Mayb all 4 of these servers have excellent customer service and skills they all are extremely attentive, friendly, kind and treated us so special. If you stop by the Spa ask for Christina she is so professional and attentive when doing your treatment she is also very talented in hair so if you want to get dolled up book an appointment with her you won't be disappointed. Guest Services: If you're at Guest Services a huge shout out to Delvina who does your bookings for all your à la carte menus she is so sweet very attentive excellent customer service very kind lady also I'd like to pay a huge thanks to Miguel who is extremely helpful has excellent customer service if you ever have an issue Miguel's your man to go to he will help you out he's truly a gentleman kind and considerate and can't thank him enough. All the staff who work on the resort from house cleaning, maintenance of the pools restaurants and gardens, the staff at the bars, restaurants and shops, bell hops and trolley drivers all go above and beyond to maintain the resort

Adults Only Club at Lopesan Costa Bavaro: A blast for the family

Hotel felt new and clean, from the rooms to the restaurants everything felt upscale. Can be a bit confusing on how to get around if you're bound to elevators (strollers/wheelchairs) but after a couple days it was easy to navigate. The resort felt very family friendly, with the unexpected exception of the main pool - Everyday from open to close, the pool music/party events/contests were pretty difficult to be at comfortably. Good for a bit of fun/party, but not somewhere I wanted to stay with the [... read more] kids. One of the days, a speaker broke on one end of the pool, which made a huge difference, and was pleasant to be at. The waterpark was a blast for the kids and parents. It occasionally gets pretty busy, and is loosely managed by the lifeguards - best keep an active eye on the kids as we witnessed some collisions on the slides. The splash pad in back of the water park (for small kids) was in desperate need of repairs, and although the water was on, didn't seem to get used. Many rubber tiles were lifted and missing, and did not appear to be cleaned (Early Nov 2025) Food was the best I've had in DR, with desserts much better than what I've experienced at other resorts nearby. We went to the Mexican, Italian, and Japanese multiple times. My kids are still talking about the carrot cake at the Mexican restaurant. Beach was well maintained, we had no issues getting covered seating. Swim area isn't huge, as you can't go very far out, understandably. Grounds were immaculate. Constantly pruned and cared for made for very lush, floral surroundings Drinks were always good, good pours and tasty options. I'm not overly concerned with drinks, so as an occasional drinker, it was great The cafe was a surprise hit, we made it part of our daily routine. They often have small sandwiches and smoothies that were a hit with the kids. The ice cream shop was a regular stop for us, I found the fruit based ice creams to be the best (Mango, passionfruit) - more like sorbet, but great none the less. Staff were great, very loving of the kids, smiling, warm, and inviting. A little effort of learning a small amount of Spanish, or using a translator went a long way. Never was I asked for a tip, or handout, although we did tip, and recommend tipping. Experienced one power outage for less than an hour. Killed the wifi, but lucky the beach doesn't run on electricity Rooms did feel damp, but seemed to get better the longer we were there. Not sure if it has something to do with a/c settings when nobody is in the room or just us getting used to it. I'd personally like to see the resort lean in to the upscale family friendly identity, less of the party hardy. More desserts with local fruits would be very nice.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Awesome

The hotel is very nice and clean very impressed with the food choices/restaurants. Our room was clean and towels and fridge replenished every day. Entertainment was pretty good. Wished we could have had some earlier dinners more popular restaurants were already booked so some later meals. The beach is the best…seaweed when we were there but time of the year. Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Amazing resort!

We loved this resort !!! The staff. The pools. The entertainment. The Food! We are planning to return at the end of January! Definitely rooms in block 5!!! The ocean beach were beautiful!!! We cannot say enough about the entire staff!!!! Rooms were beautiful and spotlessly clean! Cannot wait to return!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Disappointing

We are avid Bahia Principe travellers. We have visited only BP hotels in DR and Mexico, and this was our 7th time, and likely our last (at least just in DR). Every time in the last 10 years of coming to these hotels, we have had room problems but this stay took the cake. We arrived around midnight from our late trip. Upon arrival our room was on first floor. We noted it looked new and updated but soon learned there was no air conditioning, the patio door didn't lock, and the sink didn't drain [... read more], and safe didn't work. We called several times and we're told someone would come, no one came. I ended up walking halfway up the road until I caught a trolley and was taken to front desk. By now it was 2am. We received a new room from Francesco. He was the only person who helped us. We moved everything including our two children to the other room. 3 days in that room, around 10pm we noticed a leak coming from bathroom ceiling... It picked up and started to come through multiple spots and then the light! We called and maintenance came and said we needed a new room. Went back to front desk and saw Francesco. He said only one room left on resort. We packed up everything and our kids and moved by 12/1am. Upon arrival to new room we had a sink that didn't drain and no hot water. My husband went to front desk to complain the next day and it was fixed. To top this off... Every single morning there is a gang of staff that hang around the lobby and try to sell services and privilege club, spa, photos etc. We spoke with them and explained we weren't interested and why, but continued to be asked and approached the whole trip. On the 3rd time, the man explained it's his job and he will keep doing it because he has a family to feed. Yes I get that, but when the answer is no.. that's not going to change because you keep at us everyday. It was excessive. On the Thursday they had vendors there at all the walkways leading up to the lobby. It was impossible to get through without blatantly ignoring and going out of the way and around to not be stopped. Like, we just want to go on vacation to relax... This doesn't help! If we want to shop we can go on excursions or go to the village. Or let us approach you! The buffet. The quality has decreased quite significantly over the years. The ladies at the door don't really stop anyone to control people coming into tables, so most of the time you seat yourself. The servers were only really attentive like 50% of the time. Eventually by the end of the trip I got my own family their water and glasses and cutlery. I would say - the men were much better at greeting us, being positive and happy, and ensuring our tables were cleared off and that we had drinks. Typically the women were slow and rarely responded in time. The quality of the food wasn't that well received. Alot of options but weren't really great options. For example: pureed pumpkin for breakfast/lunch. Huh? The pancakes were always hard - why?? And the scrambled eggs were awful.. they never tasted right. The sheer amount of people and lack of fans/air conditioning made this place a complete sweat box. To be honest I was glad to get home so that I didn't have to go to that buffet any longer. Also: beware of being upsold by your airline for the bavaro adventure park - we were promised lots and were super disappointed with the day, and paid over $400 for it for 4 of us. When we got back my husband went to talk to the sales rep and she was long gone. In addition to this we went several days without towels as we were told they didn't have any at the pool. Then we finally got some 3rd day in and we held onto them the whole trip. My daughter had a scheduled hair appointment at the little spa by the pool. When my family got there, there was 3 employees arguing in Spanish. They then began braiding my daughter's hair and continued to argue well into the hour. My daughter wanted my husband to stay but eventually they stopped and she was okay. Lastly, my daughter fell through a grate at the pool in the waterpark. We informed the lifeguard. I watched him go speak to 4 staff members who were sitting and talking. No one did anything about it. My husband put a lounger over it so no other children would get hurt. We were there til about 6 and no one had come to fix it. What went well; the pool staff, the pool entertainment, the drinks, the hotel cleaning staff, the trolleys, and the truck (snack bar) was great. Overall we will not be returning to this resort ever again. We have had much better experiences at other BP resorts and will consider possibly now changing it up.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing Resort

Clean Resort, hospitality was amazing! Food was plentiful and delicious. Entertainment was great. Rooms were clean and spacious.Juan our pool boy waiter was attentive, friendly, enthusiastic and a pleasure to talk to. Beaches were awesome! Definitely a 5 star Resort. Look forward to going back!

Punta Cana Princess: Relaxing resort

We have been to this resort many times. It is a great place to go to relax and enjoy the beach and pool. The staff are great and there was always a variety of dishes to choose from. A visit to the sister resort is a must for dinner or just to stroll the grounds.

Zel Punta Cana - All Suites: Nice resort

Good healthy food that is flavourful and delicious. Steakhouse restaurant has good salmon, chicken and ribs. The room is very comfortable but there is a construction going on. It can be noisy. Massage at spa was absolutely wonderful thanks John.

Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort and Spa: Great resort, terrible service

The resort is new and beautiful - great rooms, clean and awesome pools, lots of loungers and long beautiful beach. The service however ruined it all first we thought it was because resort is new but soon became apparent they just don't care - can never get drinks at the buffet, wait for hours for room service only to get 1/2 order, people forgetting your order, brining you food you did not order or asking repeatedly for water and having to go get it yourself. Took 3 days to get a laundry bag an [... read more]d then another 2 days to have it picked up for actual washing. No one seems to care about customers or service. First four days food was so limited at the buffet I felt like I was at a mediocre 3 star in Cuba. It improves for the weekend when more Latin American guests arrived. Note it's over an hour and a half drive from airport. If you want a beautiful place where you'll just have to serve yourself and eat same food every day then this is it.
