Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Low 4 stars

Resort location is great, the beach and ocean are amazing. However, the food was disappointed. Lack of selection and they don’t serve much fruits and desserts. The room has the mold and pee smell. We were upgraded to diamond club but it was not worth for the money that we spent. Our butler was not great. Every morning around 9 am (some days even before 9 am) sent us a message to ask how we doing. Well.., we don’t know because we still in bed. Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Decent resort

Had a great time at this hotel - the food was excellent and the beaches and the staff were fantastic. Cons: Usually, 1-5 things may be wrong with your room. The bathroom door didn't lock, the outlets didn't work, and in my parent's room they were missing items such as an iron and bar restocks. Maintenance is definitely required on items but overall the room was clean and comfy. Besides the Japanese restaurant Zen - all other restaurants are "show up and hope for the best" so there are t [... read more]imes where you may be eating earlier or later then expected, depending on what time you usually eat. They do give priority to whoever has Diamond Club so that's something else to think about. Overall a great time at Royalton and would definitely try Royalton elsewhere in the Carribean.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: The Perfect Holiday

My husband and I just returned from this beautiful resort not only feeling relaxed but sad we had to leave. This was our second visit to the Royalton Hicacos. We could not have had a more wonderful time. Cuba has most definitely won our hearts. Anyone who visits Cuba falls in love with the clear turquoise water and white sandy beaches, and Royalton's beach is Exceptionally spacious and immaculate. We spent many days on the spectacular [... read more] beach and enjoyed the outdoor Barbeque grill of chicken, pork, fish and Paella available for lunch each day. Daniel and Leonis were always available and work so tirelessly to serve everyone's need. I was touched by both their attentiveness and kindness. Every afternoon we headed back to the pool for party games and the weekly foam party; which always was so much fun! We met great people from all over the world at the swim-up pool bar, Ari and Omar "at the pool bar" need a special shout out for always welcoming us with a smile. (As there were sometimes many many of us!) Royalton’s buffet always offered a variety of items and smiles; the only issue we had with the food was we often ate too much of it. I'm certain even the pickiest of eaters can find something, However, you may not see Michelin stars or every thing you're used to but remember where you are. It's the best of their best. Everything was Excellent and always plenty of it. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of talented musicians that performed in the evenings at the Lobby Bar and A-La-Carte restaurants. They were also often accommodating to our group allowing us to join in the fun. Nightly the Lobby Bar was our favourite place to be. Iced coffee in the mornings and Spanish coffee at night. Try a mulata. Sangria is also a lovely change. We owe many thanks and praise to the lobby bar staff, including, but not limited to, Eduardo, Yenifer & Cheily but the entire team are outstanding and kind. This time, I actually made it out to Yoga in the garden. It's held in the shaded gardens daily and is a beautiful way to start your morning with some meditation and stretching afterwards on the beach. Stephanie Olive of NRG2GO was an especially competent and knowledgable yoga instructor; she made easy enjoyable and fun! Stephanie was always available to assist, adjust and answer any questions we had. NRG2GO and it's instructors definitely add an extra bonus to the Hicacos resort. Once again we enjoyed a Cuban Rum couples massage in the resort spa, and it was as always fantastic, such a relaxing, calming experience. Treat yourself to one it's definitely worth it. Of course, what really keeps us coming back is the staff, they are a loyal, hard working and family oriented people. We enjoyed getting to know many; there's truly too many exceptional individuals to mention. Everyone at the resort makes you feel welcome with smiles and treat you as their friend with many who have become family, not only our friends. My advice to travelers is to take the time to talk to the staff and Cubans you meet in your travels so you can learn about Cuban culture and their way of life. Royalton Hideaway Negril: Not as expected

This was not what I expected from a royalton hotel. The grounds were kept very nice but the food was under par. No flavour not hot and only one Al a cart was the place to eat. Dorado. It was the best. For steak seafood and all fish and soups. Enjoyed it there three times in a row after trying all the others. One in particular was the amarillo. They showed up 2 min later and were told to go back in line knowing they said we were waiting inside. I literally had to go back to the line and wave my family in. Against the policy rules. So she said. Just rude. Nothing was consistent in the hotel as well. Some staff nice. Some just rude. Won’t ever go back.

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Good resort

Very nice ,nice beach and pool area , grounds kept beautiful and clean . Friendly staff . Entertainment area could be better for the type of resort. Has no real area for shows , no seating for people to watch shows , Overall not a good entertainment.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Sunwing and Royalton Grenada

Sunwing not so great don’t want to get into it. But Royalton Grenada was amazing. I don’t recommend diamond club not worth the money. but the walkout beach room was incredible. All the staff at the hotel were incredible. Food was very good.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Family Resort

Beautiful hotel. The property is long and narrow so lots of walking to pools, restaurants and beach. Check in was fast and easy. Room was nice with a jacuzzi tub in the center and a swim-out off the deck. Be aware that there is no privacy in the room; a lattice board between beds and shower area. Bedding could use some updating. Beach is lovely although we did have a lot of seaweed for two days. Lots of lounge chairs but they are very close together. No issues with getting shaded areas. Food wa [... read more]s ok, breakfast and lunch better than evening meals. Lots of bars and places to relax. Resort seems to shut down early for the evenings. The spa is beautiful and excellent personalized service. Overall, a nice resort for families and friends.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Spectacular Resort!

We upgraded to the Diamond Service and felt pampered. They provided a free excursion with the Diamond Service and we chose the snorkle/diving tour. I am not that into snorkeling so I just stayed on board with the awesome Captain George for the short snorkle stop and then off to a beautiful island barbeque. We found the food at this tour and at the resort to be very tasty and of good variety as we booked a different night at the various restaurants at the Resort. We especially loved the Cuban Res [... read more]taurant which provided a unique menu of Cuban dishes. There were lots of other places to grab snacks including icecream and other snack stations. If you love seafood the lobster apparently was absolutely amazing... I couldn't eat it due to allergies but others were really impressed. A very special part of the Diamond Service is your assigned Butler. Ours was Marty - a lady who would go above and beyond to ensure all of her assigned Diamond vacationers had all of their concerns addressed. Ronald was our other Butler for Marty's day off. Equally friendly. All of the staff really went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The bellhop Raul at the front desk was particularly helpful to us arranging transportation, assisting with luggage. Servicing staff went out of their way and we had three special employees that would see us coming and quickly find us a table and bring us the drinks they remembered we liked: Thank you to waiter Raul and waitresses Jenny and Anna. The bar staff, pool bar staff, entertainment and so on, were very welcoming. The main reason I booked this resort was the beautiful pools, with many bridges, tiny waterfall, swim up pool bar and the many thatched roof buildings. I think if they removed the beauty of the thatched roofs I may have overlooked it. But the photos definitely resemble the beauty you will find at this resort. We loved our room, it overlooked a beautiful garden area. The nightly entertainment was a surprise. Shows were provided in a large outdoor theatre with awesome performances, good sound quality. Beach had warm silky soft sand with private beach bar for Diamond Members. If we are lucky enough to go to Cuba again I would definitely book this resort. Only 15 min into Veradero in those cool old convertibles - awesome location. The only thing we found lacking was the Diamond Service said there would be beer in our room fridge daily - but this service was only provided on the first night. We checked every day with Diamond Club and they were always waiting for a shipment. Wouldn't deter me from going back.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Not so great

I won’t be going back to royalton splash. We initially booked because it was advertised on royalton splash website that we do have access to some of the restaurants at royalton punta cana (jade, Grazzie) we travelled with my 4 year old son so this sounded great especially for lunch time that we have access to Grazzie to eat when going at the beach. Unfortunately, we got turned around by staff telling us that we aren’t allowed to eat there and that we need to go all the way back to Splash to  [... read more]eat. I wrote to the royalton info e-mail to ask why this is advertised on their website that we have access to eat at these royalton punta cana restaurants and till this day no one ever answered me. We would wait for the shelter bus to come pick us up sometimes even 45 minute to 1H to go from royalton punta cana to splash or vice versa which most of the time it would never come. That also it was advertised that it passes by every 10-15 minutes which is so untrue. We did not bring a stroller for this matter and ended up having to waste our time walking back and forth from a resort to another with a toddler that we had to carry in our arms. The few times we had taken the shuttler we had to almost fight to get a place on it because of the amount of people that were rushing towards it. We had a day that we stayed at the pool at royalton splash and one of the tourist apparently got sick and vomit in the pool which the staff had to close the pool for the rest of the day and sent us all at the bubble pool. Again, we are with a kid we had to pack all our stuff go to the bubble pool and when arriving there we basically had no chairs nor space where to sit because it was overcrowded and the staff did not added more chairs or made more space keep in mind the that bubble pool is only used for diamond club upgrade.This happened at around 2 pm. I understand that this out of the control of the hotel and staff when situations like this happens however this should have been way better managed by staff especially knowing that the hotel was most likely at full capacity all using one pool that day. We ended up having to go back in the rooms and not be able to enjoy our day because we had to space at the pool. Knowing that splash hotel is mostly for family and kids I would have thought that they would have some diversity food especially food that kids enjoy at the buffet or restaurants. Fries, chicken nuggets etc. The selection buffet always had the same food and little food for kids. I had to order room service every night for my son to be able to eat something he likes besides bread. On our last 3 days we decided to upgrade to royalton punta cana we only were able to upgrade our bracelets and not get rooms there. The main reason we wanted to upgrade was to be able to get more variety of food and be able to eat at Grazzie while at the beach instead of coming back at splash. To our surprise we went to grazzie and it was closed and only people from hideaway were able to eat there so upgrading made zero difference to us at this point and wasted money which we thought we would get more convinces from it but did not. Furthermore, we were told that we would be able to enjoy the pools at royalton punta cana when we upgrade our bracelets to our surprise the pools at punta cana royalton had people from splash bracelets with no one telling them that they cannot stay at the pools at royalton punta cana. Again, we respected the policies throughout the week paid more money to get access to more to only find out that it’s a free for all and we basically wasted money for absolutely nothing just because we respected the resorts policies. On our last day while waiting for the bus to come and pick us up to go to the airport I went to ask at the lobby bar for some water for my toddler to drink. Thankfully I smelled the water before given to him to drink the water smelled like chlorine I went back to the bar and told the waiter there that the water did not smell right only for him to taste it from the big bottle where he pour the water from to tell us that we are right the water is no good….at that point I wasn’t even surprised nor impressed anymore. I went 7 times to punta cana, it was my favorite destination to go to. Twice of them was at royalton CHIC in the last 6 years. I never made a complaint because I never had to but this trip was just not worth the money. If I would have known that royalton got this bad I would have chooses another resort worth the $ 1.6k that I paid to get the service we paid for while not forgetting that we actually paid even more to upgrade at royalton punta cana. Furthermore, the mini bar was never restocked. We missed toilet paper in the bedroom because it was never restocked. We missed shampoo also.we called reception for shampoo no one ever came. We called reception for someone to come and help us with the luggages from the second floor to be brought to the lobby no one ever showed up we had to carry 4 luggages down the stairs to the lobby. The hotel is poorly managed which is unfortunate for the price that costumer pays to go there. I will not be going to any royalton anymore nor recommend it to anyone including CHIC as I am not sure that today they provide the same services that was provided a couple of years ago when I went back twice to CHIC. As far for the royalton chain they should have all the same level of service in order to have costumer recommend this chain to someone else. Unfortunately, I am in distrust with this chain after my experience to royalton splash and punta cana.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Exceptional

Great time at Royalton Hicacos. Friendly staff, lots to do, fantastic beach facilities. Loved the jazz bar and variety of shows they brought every night - especially opera night. Had so much fun. Will go again ASAP.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Incredible vacation

The Royalton is a lush, tropical resort that has friendly, helpful staff. The facilities and grounds were well maintained and clean. The food was excellent and the bars had a large variety of drinks. The perks of the diamond club were worth getting.

Royalton Hideaway Saint Lucia: Beautiful Resort, ok food.

Very clean, friendly and beautiful resort. Great location and view. Food was a bit of a let down, lots of recycled food. Wait staff was very very hit or miss, either on the ball and great or taking an hour to get you out your food and missing half of your order. Wish there was more to do on resort. Kind of smaller than i am used to. Staff was friendly.

Royalton Hideaway Saint Lucia: Nice resort!

Beautiful property but felt there were some issues! The room was beautiful but had a musty damp smell to it as if it had been flooded and not dried out. The staff were very friendly but customer service wasn’t great! We had to call 3 and 4 times a day to get our fridge stocked, it was very frustrating! It was my birthday while we were there and my husband requested decorations for the room, ut it never happened. We had a swim out which was lovely except someone above us was throwing cigaret [... read more]te butts into it and also in to our patio, we reported this but nothing was done about it! The restaurants were very good! For the amount we paid to be there we were a bit disappointed!

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Great resort

The resort was excellent, top to bottom. Safe, secure, clean. Great staff, great food, great location. It was our first time coming into Cancun as we generally go down the Mayan riviera. I was please try surprises . I would highly recommend this place. We will be back!

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Rest and Relaxation

The Royalton is a small resort perfect for R & R. Variety of Food that is excellent and plentiful with lots of variety. No buffet, however, you could always ask for seconds or even thirds. The drinks at the main bar where outstanding. Loved the 24-hour snack bar and drinks. Clean and well-kept grounds and rooms. Butlers, maids, waiters, bar tenders, gardeners and Manger go above and beyond to service you. Beach is beautiful with white sand and crystal-clear water. We loved that the beach was qu [... read more]iet and if you wanted music you could go to the main pool in the afternoon. Finding a sun bed/chair was never an issue. Very safe resort and the lifeguards saved a man from drowning in the ocean when the ocean was very rough one day. They were always on the lookout. Entertainment was good. Suggestions and Cons: They should have dancing music after the entertainment finishes. There are limited beach towels, and you need to go early to replace the one you have. There is no Ocean View and the ground floor rooms sliding doors open to bushes. There should be signs to tell you want the entertainment is every night. I would definitely return to the Royalton in Santa Maria mainly for the Service, Food, Beach and a perfect resort to rest and relax.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Overall wonderful experience

Overall my partner and I really enjoyed our stay at the Royalton Hideaway! The staff are truly wonderful people who made our experience even better! The major downside was subpar selection of fruit. I have stayed at other resorts with delicious tropical fruit and I was very disappointed at the minimal selection. The main buffet was also overly crowded for us at breakfast time so we opted to have breakfast room service instead.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

I love Royalton Hicacos and spa for it's impeccable service,maids for my room were just the best you leave a Service my room they do it promptly, and when I ruffled my bed before supper, I came back to my room and they re did my bed wow, food for me was great 👍, staff and managers at front desk were very helpful and friendly always made shure I was satisfied, bravo team Royalton, bravo,5 star plus for me!!

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great Resort!

Overall the hotel was great. Loved the layout, lazy river, pools, restaurants etc. What thr hotel can improve on is the cleanliness in the pools, as 2 family members got ear infections and another a UTI from the pools. Also, i find that the rooms are only satisfactory cleaned and the cleaning staff need to be more attentive to that. The drinks were satisfactory, a lot of premixed drinks that weren't fresh, food was great overall abundance of selection at the buffets, only got to eat at the Itali [... read more]an restaurant during the stay which was pretty good. The beach was very choppy and a lot of seaweed but if you walk a little bit you can find areas to swim, not ideal for small children. Overall the resort was great!!!

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Terrific vay-cay

Cuba’s beaches on the Cayos (islands), in this case Cayo Santa Maria, are beautiful - sand like light beige icing sugar and the smallest amount of seaweed (not like the Mayan Riviera at all). This small, adults only resort is very quiet, relaxing and laidback with entertainment every night and a staff that can’t do enough for you. Will return.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Beautiful Resort

Royalton White Sands was beautiful, grounds were kept clean, people where very friendly and accommodating. Food was good Ocean was amazing, not very big it was very nice. You could walk quite a bit on the shore line. Water slides were fun only 2 open at a time not enough life guards. You will enjoy your stay. Very satisfied, will diffinetly return.
