Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Nice Resort

The resort was very nice and clean. Their was a good assortment of food in the Buffet which was impressive. The beach and the pools were clean and good service One issue we noticed was that the resort(representative) never explained the resort and its amenities. The other negative was that when we arrived (3 adults), we were given one bed (not good) It was resolved next day. I definitely would come back.

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: LOVED This resort. Very Relaxing 2nd Secrets been too

LOVED this place. Treated us like gold! the most amazing service and makes no difference if you pay to be in preferred or regular they treat you the same. Amazing. Food was delicious we liked the French Restaurant the best but all were delicious. If you goto French must try in Onion Soup and also their Duck so good!!! Tons of activities through out the day. This is our 2nd Secrets we have been too and all have been top notch. 3 years ago went to the one in Jamaica, last year went to Aruba and stayed different chain they didn't have on there. Horrible. We kept comparing it to Secrets. So this year we went back to the Secrets Chain and it was even better than Jamaica. Which we didn't think was possible. HIghly Recommend this place hands down. There is honestly nothing bad for me to say because it was that good

Royal Solaris: Annual family vacation

My family and I decided to go to Royal Solaris in Los Cabos this year for our annual Christmas vacation. PROS: The grounds are very well kept and clean. Very nice resort. Snack bar options; pool bar, sushi bar, ceviche bar and pizza bar. Directly on the beach. Pool is nice. Room was comfortable. Easy to make a la carte reservations (call “0” every morning at 9am) The adult pool is behind the buffet and very quiet and has a nice huge jacuzzi. If you have children, they have a ki [... read more]d section (water park). Location is convenient - you can take the city bus which comes in from of the hotel. We took an Uber with was 3-4$ CAD each way. Los Cabos is very safe and the locals are friendly. Lastly as the spa was expensive in the hotel, I walked across the street to Live Spa for a 25$ usd massage for 30 mins and it was great! CONS: There were 2 nights with no entertainment (tuesday and sunday) The lobby had an outside live band a few nights in the week but otherwise it was not very live at night. There was a DJ every night at 10pm in the lobby with a dance floor but NO disco. I found this to not be fun as there were families out all night with their young children and nobody danced. I did not find the pool entertainment team very great (compared to resorts in other countries) I didn’t even know any of them by name. Also they did not have many games near the pool. I did not mind the buffet food but my parents found it to be repetitive and not great options. The pool was always packed with children. I enjoyed Zai - Japanese restaurant lots of options. Brazilian night at Rodizio my parents did not enjoy as the meat was dry. Italian night at Marco Polo was not great the pasta was bland. French night at Marco Polo was delicious - the salmon was amazing !!! URIEL in the buffet you were amazing THANK YOU so much for serving us daily and always smiling. You are such a great person. ROBERTO (bell boy service) you are wonderful. He was always smiling/making us laugh and was able to assist with any questions we had. NOEL best lobby bartender. MARINA best beach bar bartender - always made the best margaritas ! PS did an excursion to Cabo San Lucas to do a boat tour to the arch which was 50 USD for 4-5 hours including transportation, tequila tasting and free time! Highly Recommend it. It was with Novotours - booked through Our air canada representative at the hotel.

Sunscape Cancun Resort and Spa: Beautiful Resort!!!

I loved the Panama Jack Resort! It was the best vacation we had so far! Everything was great there, the food, room, beach and the service. We will defiantly try to come back to Panama Jack next year!!!

Moon Palace Cancun: Palace Life

From the moment we stepped into the extravagant lobby we knew we were going to have a phenomenal week. The check in /out process was seamless. The staff go over and beyond what you would typically receive. The food and drinks were 10/10! Our favourite restaurant was Momo. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Everything you needed was supplied. They call it palace life for a reason! We will most definitely be returning.. The nightly entertainment was fantastic. Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Best Vacation Ever! ♡

We stayed 14 days in the adult only section in the penthouse suite. We had a large deck with a hot tub which we used each night. We had monkeys show up multiple times each day to hangout. That was our highlight of the trip. With the adult section, we had our own pool, restaurant and section on the beach. The service at the adult section was personalized and amazing. We became close with the workers and they gave us a nice goodbye when we left with flowers over our table. The food here is amazing [... read more]. There is a waterpark here which my husband went on and enjoyed. We found private senotes around the Resort and swam in. We are going to return again next year for 3 weeks and can't wait. Riu Palace Pacifico: Speciality restaurant food quality poor

Pro - Very nice clean long walkable beach. Resort and area is very clean, friendly people. Con - Could be long wait for Speciality restaurants as they don't require booking. Food quality is very poor as they keep recycling precooked food. ** If two single beds are required make sure to ask at time of the booking

Barcelo Maya Palace: Barcelo Maya Palace - Fabulous Resort!

My husband and 2 boys (in their 20's) stayed at Barcelo Maya Palace last week. Although it rained every day we had an amazing stay due to the resort being outstanding. Restaurants both buffet and a la carte were very very good. Beach was beautiful and very much enjoyed swimming with turtles and other marine life. Our rooms were very very large with fabulous bathrooms. They were clean and well serviced. Would not hesitate to recommend and revisit this property. Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing experience

We absolutely loved our time at the resort. All of the staff was amazing. The food was great and fresh at every meal. The afternoon and evening entertainment was great, the resort had to work with lots of rainy weather and did their best to make it work. The gym is comparable to upper class chain of gym( Goodlife etc). Angelica in the gym was amazing. Take one of her classes.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: The Best !!!

Great resort lay out smaller with a very relaxing feel ! The staff are what separate this resort from any other i have been too ! They are amazing at meeting any request you may have . Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great food, friendly staff, not-so-great beach

The hotel grounds are very well maintained, the rooms are clean and the resort is very beautiful. The staff is also very friendly and respond to issues promptly (we had a leak due to excessive rain, and they were very accommodating, helping us switch rooms). The food is probably the best that I've had on all inclusive resorts with this level of rating (4 star hotel). They had 6 a la carte restaurants, and 2 buffets (one was closed) and the food was tasty with a good variety. It is a nice beach in the sense that it is scenic and very pretty, but the water is murky and there are LOTS of broken sea shells all along the beach, so you are not walking on sand, you are walking on sea shells (can't really walk along the beach barefoot). However, their pool is very nice, so we still had a good time and enjoyed being in the water. If going into the sea water and a nice sandy beach are important to you, I would recommend looking into another resort. The beach is the only negative about this resort though, it was great on all other aspects!

Barcelo Maya Palace: Barcelo is fine!

Food is excellent and resort offers something for everyone. Lane swimming and gym so you can maintain your routine lots of beach space. Comfortable rooms and nice shower. Would like to suggest that WIFI be included as standard instead of paying as an additional cost

Grand Oasis Cancun: Attractive Setting

Excellent Beach - White sand and clear, turquoise waters, clean; there are some large waves so being able to swim is important if you go out beyond waist deep, but they are not overly powerful so it is quite safe and fun. Life guards make sure that you stay within safe areas. Food is very good quality and variety with a buffet restaurant and several a la cartes to choose from (reservations not needed except for one). Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Awesome Punta Mita Resort

We stayed at Iberostar Selection Punta Mita resort Dec 13 to 22, 2019. The resort was wonderful with great service, immaculate, and friendly staff. We loved the Japanese restaurant which had a great show by our chef. Staff provide great service at restaurants, pool, and bars. Servers Hugo, Jessy, Andrea, Elvina provided exceptional service. Every night the maid provided turn down service in our room and new towel art on our bed.

Barcelo Maya Grand Resort: Amazing scuba diving!

The hotel was great but The scuba diving the hotel offers from the beach was amazing. Ended up booking an excursion then upgraded to get my scuba certification. The staff was absolutely phenomenal and the water was perfect. The beach was picture perfect and the water was super clear. Snorkelling near the edge you saw sea turtles and sting rays. Overall the best experience I could’ve asked for.

Krystal Grand Los Cabos: Decent resort but, right on the highway!

This a decent resort when it comes to pools, restaurants and rooms. It is however right on the main highway so the front of the hotel along with the front entrance/bar and some of the buildings are very loud all day and night. Also, we were disappointed at the fact that beach volleyball was only 1 hour per day, there were no nightly shows and 5he kids pool wasn't heated which made it tough to use for the little ones. All in all, this was a 3 -3.5 star in our opinion and not a 4.

El Dorado Maroma: The luster of this Karishma property has faded

We have loved all of our stays at a variety of Karima managed properties over the years. We come mainly for the food, weather and beach. By far Maroma beach is stunning, but the El Dorado here is a shadow of its former self. The "gourmet all inclusive experience" was a bust. Perhaps for economic reasons since this is a small resort on any given night during the pre Christmas week we were there many restaurants were closed for dinner. Only on a few nights were four open, on some only two and [... read more] on one only one. The quality of the food has suffered as well. For breakfast only one a la carte with a limited selection and the other is a buffet, which if you don't get there within the first hour of opening everything becomes dry and mostly tasteless, certainly not a gourmet experience. For lunch these two same restaurants are the only two available along with a bar which serves a few items. For these reasons we would not return here and will think seriously about any other of their resorts. The one thing which has always bothered us about the "gourmet all inclusive experience" are the cheap Chilean wines on offer, on the red side, one Malbec, and a cab, both rather horrid. If you want anything better prepare to mortgage your house, same goes for the spa which is lovely put the service and expertise is nothing to write home about.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great Location, Exceptional service and hospitality

I travelled solo and I am a vegetarian who does not drink alcohol. And this hotel had everything offered to me to relax, rewind and rejuvenate. I never had any issues with food. The rooms are very clean. The staff is very friendly, helpful and courteous. The hotel attracts many Europeans, French and Canadians. I enjoyed the speciality restaurants. The pool activities and the beach walks. The only soar spot was the city bus tour offered by Air Canada vacations. The driver left 13 of us stranded b [... read more]y coming 45 min late to pick us up and offered no explanation. 13 guests from different hotels stranded on 5th Ave at 9pm in night. Not a good experience. I did complain to Air Canada Vacation representative, but she never reverted.

Paradisus Playa del Carmen: We keep coming back!

This was our third visit with our kids, now 4 & 6, and we can’t wait until next year! The food, the pirate ship pool, the water slides (heated pool!), the staff - all five star. We have never done family concierge, and honestly don’t see a need to.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Delicious, Exciting, and Energetic!

Pros: - AMAZING authentic restaurant food - Fantastic staff (shout-out to Francisco at the Grazie Italian restaurant, he was awesome!) - Very clean resort (staff are always on the ball) - Tantalizing shows (PLEASE go see the nightly shows; they're SO GOOD) - Beautiful views (Check out the rooftop terrace!) - Very close to the airport Cons: - Daily events and fitness classes from TV schedules didn't always line up with actual events - Events sometimes seem to get cancelled without noti [... read more]ce - This is a personal preference, but I would have appreciated more Latin music, and maybe some relaxing music in the Hideaway section. There was a lot of party/pop music. I would HIGHLY recommend this resort. It was a blast! In my opinion, the staff and the food made the vacation. Don't forget to tip! Tipping a few CDN or USD to the hard-working folk at Hideaway goes a long way in making your vacation that much better and everyone is happy! Also, try out some original Mexican drinks while you're there! I LOVE the Banderis Mexicana, Riviera Maya, Paloma, Michelada and Carajillo!
