Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: One week in Royalton Riviera

The trip was a good one overall. There were some things that we really liked for example the hotel itself and the rooms. The drinks were premium. We were upgraded to the Hideaway section, which is adults only. The negatives were the location of the hotel and the beach. The hotel is located in a marshy area, so there was a terrible smell, lots of mosquitoes and no outside view. The beach was dirty water, muddy, lots of seaweed. Long lineups, hours of waiting etc. The buffet food was ok, very repeatitive, nothing special . Overall 4 stars out of 5. We expected better.

Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres: Very clean, nice and friendly

We really enjoy our stay. Even though, the weather was sometimes rainy right before winter holidays. There were always what to do for kids and for adults. Transportation to the restaurants was well organized for travellers who did not want to take a walk ( about 10min max). Me and my husband preferred to take advantage of the beautiful paths and my daughter of 20 with her friends always enjoyed the boat or golf cart ride. Food had a large variety and entertainment as well.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Great resort!

My husband and 2 year old girl just came back from visiting Royalton and had a great time. Great for kids with an awesome splash pad, nice pools and our room was excellent. ( Presidential Suite). The restaurants were decent with the Indian restaurant by far being our favourite

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Hotel

The hotel is very nice convenient the food was tasty the service was fair the room were excellent great service concerning rooms the hotel is clean modern good planning the terrace facing the ocean excellent

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Another great vacation

We have stayed at the Iberostar Del Mar numerous times, in fact - we got married there a couple of years ago. Less than 1/2 hour drive from the Cancun airport, which is nice after a flight. Fabulous staff, excellent service and beautiful grounds. The beach is beautiful and plenty of shade options if you cannot tolerate all the sun! :) Looking forward to another return to the hotel. Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Unique environment at Xcaret hotel

Spectacular jungle environment exquisitely maintained. Excellent food and service. Friendly staff. Need reservations for tennis courts and specialized restaurants. The hard surface tennis court needs to be resurfaced and a tennis pro should be available during peak periods. We enjoy the Xcaret park and all the activities.

El Cozumeleno Beach: Amazing resort

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The food was delicious and lots of choices. The service was great. The hotel is clean. I will recommend this resort to everyone. The pool is clean and well maintained. The reception staff were very courteous and friendly. The only dissatisfaction was not enough entertainment and music by the pool side.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Amazing resort!

The service and each and every member of the staff was just excellent! The facilities are also awesome, everything you need is always there. Great views of the ocean, the xhale area was quiet and relaxing. Food is ok. Mexican restraunt was excellent.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great place!

The room was clean and updated. The food was delicious and service was great! I would recommend this resort for couples or for families. The nightly entertainment was great as well. We enjoyed our stay.

The Sens Riviera: Nice resort!

Food: buffet is very good, even though as with most buffets, there are similar items served daily; men are not allowed in wearing a sleeveless shirt, swim suits are allowed as long as a cover up is worn. We were at 3 of the 4 a la Carter’s, where the food is delicious...(be prepared for a 2 hour dinner in the Greek or Italian). Men must wear long pants, even if it’s blue jeans or sweat pants, but women can wear pretty much anything (very short shorts observed on 1 occasion), Men are allowed  [... read more]entrance to the outdoor portion of the restaurant wearing shorts, but we did see the occasional man allowed in the indoor portion wearing shorts pants, but we were turned away for my husband wearing knee length shorts...Inconsistent dress code. Room. Our room in building D was clean, close to the beach, buffet, lobby. Partial ocean view description is a stretch. Beds & pillows were comfy, good shower. Staff: very friendly & helpful. BEWARE...You’re greeted at checkin with champagne by a nice helpful staff member who will take you aside for a few minutes & offer you spa coupons, etc & invite you to a “delicious breakfast” at Secrets Akumal, just down the road. When asked if he was selling time shares we were told a definite NO, that they do not believe in them that they are promoting the hotel brand, We declined the offer, much to his chagrin, only to learn from other guests that they are indeed selling shares in the Sunscape chain. Our host barely made eye contact with us after we again refused his offer on our second day. Beach: beach is good, lots of chairs. Certain spots are reserved for SunClub guests. The water has lots of rocks, so SWIM SHOES ARE A MUST if you plan on going in the ocean. Pool: we didn’t spend any time is the family pools, but they are spacious with lots of play areas for toddlers & young children. The beach buffet serves decent food & drinks. Gym: well equipped but way too hot for a gym in spite of a/c & fans which are. It always turned on; 6 treadmills, bike, weights, etc. Coca Cafe: open 24/7, good lattes, pastries, sandwiches, ice cream, popcorn.. Entertainment: in the theatre (seating is not tiered) is pretty much non-existent & starts at 8:30pm, a bit early if having a late dinner. Most entertainment is karaoke in the Starlight lounge; the lobby often has a pianist or saxophonist playing for an hour or so. Shops: the gift shop is small, barely supplying necessities, but decent souvenirs. There is a jewelry store on the premises. Outside vendors (jewellery, clothing, hats, souvenirs, etc) set up 2-3 times per week in the hallway between the buffet & Coco Cafe. There are no beach vendors.

Allegro Cozumel: Perfect Resort For Nature Lovers

Such a great resort, this was our 5th time going here. It has everything you need if your a single couple looking to have fun and even more stuff to do with the family, great activities for the kids and the water park is so much fun. The grounds are amazingly landscaped, friendly staff, beautiful beach and lots of activities.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Good Family Resort

We were at this resort for my son’s wedding. The reason this resort was picked by the bride and groom was because children would also be attending. My husband and I did not have children travelling with us but we still really enjoyed this resort. We found lots to do on resort and even ran out of time to enjoy everything that is offered on the resort. The wedding venue was very beautiful and the food was excellent. Our favourite buffet was La Laguna but the best was the Riviera and Brazil. We loved our room. We had a king size bed (with a really good mattress) and a whirlpool tub. The maid was very nice and did a great job. I would recommend this resort to my friends and family. Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Amazing staff

I will return here just for the service. Alfredo and abdeal on the royal service side went above and beyond for my friends and I. Super polite and very efficient. Best service I’ve ever received at a resort and this will be the reason I return. I admire people who take pride in their work !

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Amazing Resort

Wonderful food and beach. Friendly people around us and colorful culture. Good arrangement for the transportation and management of hotel. Convenient facility and interesting and funny activities with friendly staff.

Crown Paradise Club: Excellent Location

We paid $779 per person taxes in and arrived December 8-15. 5 minute walk to the Marina Terminal if you are booking any excursions. Casino, grocery store and mall within walking distance. Room was spacious with large closet, drawers and fridge. Bathroom had large shower with lots of hot water. All staff were friendly and helpful. The alacarte restaurants were excellent with great food and staff. The public washrooms could use a lilttle more attention as there are so many people using them. The pools were great. Large jacuzzi was warm with jets but by the end of the day, it was murky - pristine the next day. All in all I thought this was a great resort and I have stayed in many in Puerto Vallarta. I would definitely go back.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Good family resort

We had a good experience with our family at the Grand Palladium Vallarta. The weather in early December was amazing and we really enjoyed the pools and beach. However the service side needs some improvement, including the front desk organization (i.e. wrong rooms being assigned, extra charges added, etc.) Eventually all were sorted out but it required too much follow up from the visitors to get accomplished. Dreams Sands Cancun Resort and Spa: Great resort!

Really nice resort for parents with young kids. The water is calm and the beach is nice with no rocks. Great food and room service is available 24/7. All rooms are ocean front. A la carte restaurants do not require reservations and you can go to either one as many times as you want.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: great place

This hotel is beautiful,rooms were nice and big and clean,pools were clean and warm,very friendly staff,the food was plenty and good, the La carte steak house was fantastic would recommend this resort.

Tesoro Los Cabos: Clean Hotel

All staff friendly and work hard to make sure everything is okay for you. Rooms and Restaurants and pools were always kept clean. The restaurant off the lobby doesn't get enough publicity. It was by far the best food at the resort and the head chef checked on us...wish we would have tried this one earlier in the week. Great easy walk to everything and the local bars and restaurants.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Great resort!

It is a great resort with the most amazing staff. Sadly with social media, it has become well known and is very busy and hard to get a reservation now without booking months ahead. There is also a much larger European number of guests now also because of this. Sadly the majority of these people are heavy smokers. Spoke to the resort about making a smoking and non smoking section because of this and they are considering it as I was not the only person to raise this concern. These people are s [... read more]moking on the patios which makes the non smoker or those sensitive to cigarette smoke have to keep their patio door closed and miss the sound of the crashing waves. A big part of the ambiance of this resort with all rooms facing the ocean front. Other than the above, it is an amazing resort with amazingly hard working staff who remember you from year to year.
