Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: The perfect resort

We loved this resort. We loved the food, the staff are all super friendly, the beach is beautiful and there is a reef right off the beach so the snorkeling is great! Istanbul smaller and more intimate so we loved that about it and our room looking into the ocean was amazing. Only great things to say about akumal bay beach and wellness resort!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Iberostar Lindo Resort

The resort was lovely. The restaurants were amazing except the food wasn't as hot temperature wise as it should be. The people were amazing and helpful. The pools were terrific and the entertainment was top class. I would definitely go back again.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Amazing location but ......

Hotel looks old and require maintenance in many areas. We instructed to get two rooms side by side on same floor due to 24 hour observation required for our children. But we were given rooms on separate floors. Had to check out at 11 to ensure we get rooms side by side on next day and could not get replacement until around 4 pm. Pretty well lost whole day without sleep because of safety of our children. No choices were available for vegetarians. Morning, afternoon and evenings were same old s [... read more]tuff: Broccoli and cauliflower boiled in water. Celery and carrots boiled. Or Cactus that we never ate in our life. It was boring to see the same choices over and over again. In-spite of complain they did not change anything. Even stuff that was labeled as vegetarian like: corn soup will have chicken or pork in it. Pizzas were lousy. Bathrooms on first day needed power wash. I would have almost vomited - looking at the bath tub. While changing rooms, we left some stuff in old rooms and they could not locate them. Telephone repair took more than 7 days. Overall 1 to 2 star and never will book at this place again.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: You will not be disappointed

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: has checked every single box!

where to start? Easy van ride to the property. about ten miles N of Cancun. Not on the more populated strip. this is the only one in this area, some new construction a bit South of the resort. Palladium about 2miles south. This is fairly new. contemporary designs, no corny bamboo chairs or heavy furniture. room clean, beautiful hardwood floors. double sinks, huge walk in shower with frosted doors. separate door into toilet. excellent service for towels, always lots, and turndown service wi [... read more]th all laundry replaced again. Landscaping and flora beautiful! at every turn there is something beautiful to see. frig stocked , didn't have to phone about anything. TV... HBO, CNN FOX etc. but the facility has an amazing outdoor theatre, partially enclosed though, full bar service and once again comfortable contemporary furnishings and seating. Looks out over the ocean . premium drinks in ALL areas, incl the beach service. If you want Bacardi Anejo Rum, just ask, they are too happy to use it, its all there. corridors and bathrooms spotless. elevators and ramps, we saw a lot of people in w/c about. boardwalk to the beach, about 80meters from the main pool area and showers that work at the beach exits. POOLS kept pristine, we saw them cleaning every night. Restaurants, beautiful decors, lots of salad bar options at them. don't need to make reservations or deal with silly meal tickets, just get dressed up and go to the one you want. Wines, re choices, the white sauvignon was nice, some of the wines can taste vinegary and not rich, no problem here, often they just left the bottle on the table. also, there are no offers for "other wines or "lobster, extra charge", I have never enjoyed so many huge and delicious shrimp options. The buffet is Huge, everything regularly replaced, they are very proud of their food prep. they leave your coffeepot on your breakfast table, no searching for someone to get your Café con Leche! You can get coffee at bfast, or stop by the Capuchino Lounge on your way past to get a special coffee to take to bfast. There are so many beautiful venues to sit, take pics, eat, swim, sun, I can go on and on here. The grounds are stunning, the beachfront is dotted with Palm trees which give just the right shade for laying or playing there. LOTS of beach chairs, and they are comfortable. BEACH! sand sand sand, you can beachwalk wellover 2 hrs in either direction.even and maintained, groomed and levelled daily, but there wasn't much seaweed. Its kind of little branchy stuff. the water and surf are great to jump and play, so many families enjoying same. Lots of people would migrate to the main lounge after dinner... floor to ceiling windows all across with continuous view of the ocean... again premium drinks with amazing service and beautiful chairs and patio type tables at which to sit. No bad views, the gardens are gorgeous, we were on the wing facing south, and got sunrise and sunset EVERY Day , so gorgeous. They are low level buildings, 4 stories, we were on second floor, swimouts below, and they are a fairly great size in themselves. I think five hundred dollars more.. There is a lot of glass, from the lobby into the huge front courtyard facing the beach there a huge sliding glass doors, never far away from an effortless stroll, don't even have to open the doors. Eating grills at each end of the facility, Food starts here late morning till 4pm, grill chicken pork, beef French fries (OMG AMAZING) veggies, burgers and hot dogs, and all the fixings, again, staffed by 3 cooks and constantly refreshing the food. lots of bathrooms (cleaning lady permanently stationed there and cleaning these areas constantly. there are no gross smells or spills. No garbage laying around here... staff always picking up plates, etc. PoOLS

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Yes it is amazing

First of all, thanks to Linda for all she has done for us to make this trip a success. Everything at the Hotel is wonderful , the food is excellent so is the service, the grounds, the pool and the beach. We also enjoyed all the animals roaming free. We highly recommend this place. I must warn you about 5th Av. in Carmen, stay away from any Jewelry shops, those peoples are mainly CROOKS, besides that you can not walk 10 ft. without being harassed . After 20 min. we went back to the hotel

Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa: Stunning views and exceptional service

We loved the fact that we had an ocean view practically from anywhere we were on the resort, and the view from the balcony was spectacular. The sunsets were incredible as the name of the resort would suggest. The food was great at both the outdoor and indoor restaurants. The menus changed every day at both so there was enough variety and everything we had was excellent. My husband and I enjoy seafood and there was plenty of it as well as many other options for both meat lovers and vegetarians. Most nights there was live music and Mariachis were excellent. We would have liked some form of live music every night, but we still enjoyed ourselves. We were there to relax and weren't looking to party so it suited us fine. We enjoy spending a lot of time at the beach and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed the water, the sand and there were plenty of chairs with shade. We took a 10 minute bus ride into town of Puerto Vallarta. Very easy to get around and found helpful people everywhere, no danger of getting lost. The Malecon and Romantic Zone are definitely worth checking out. We enjoyed walking around, doing some shopping in the flea markets and along the boardwalk, and taking in the culture. We also took an organized tour to San Sebastian into the mountains and really enjoyed it. There was noise from construction at the resort due to additional building that's going up, but it was easy for us to forget about it. Overall, I would highly recommend this beautiful resort.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Royalton Suites

Luxury hotel that just opened this past year. Rooms are beautiful with views on either side of the ocean or the inter coastal. We enjoyed the service and the a la carte restaurants although the waiters were not always friendly. Food prep at the buffet might be a little suspect with the way the meat was sitting out beside the grill and the blender was rinsed between smoothies. Could be a bad [... read more] time of year for the flu too but everyone in our group of 10 kept saying the food was making them feel off while we were there. Not sure I’d go back for that reason. Also found the pool a little small for the number of guests. There are two diamond guest pools as well which make you feel second class cause you can’t use them. Although the roof pool was closed half the time for private parties and maintenance so the diamond guests weren’t too happy either. No one was even in the kiddie pool, they were all in the bar pool with their parents. Kind of a waste. We all agreed The resort lacked in pools. There’s always the beach but the undertow was strong so we had to be careful. Liked the area of the hotel and was able to walk in the mornings down the strip. We took a taxi to the fashion mall in the rain but a fellow told us his taxi driver put $10 grand on his credit card so we paid the $11 cash each way. Didn’t do any day trips just needed to relax and hate the cattle run with those things. Gym is good and lots of classes to try. We also used the spa which is first class. Had massages and pedicures which were excellent.

Well my review has some good but more bad. Check in was good, rooms were ok , clean, house keeping was good unless it was changeover days they we were neglected and when they finally come to clean , basically they made beds, left no towels, face cloths, didn't change garbage, clean cups and coffee pot, and we were trying to get ready for photo shoot, so frustrated. Riu Cancun: Beautiful Resort

The hotel was stunning. Modern looking with beautiful grounds. Pool area was nice and clean. Restaurants were good. Buffet had an excellent variety of food. Different theme every night. Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: A Bit Disappointed For a 5 Star Resort

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great Trip for Price

We have been going to the Royal Decameron for 15+ years now. ROOMS: While they have made some minor upgrades, I wouldn't go into it expecting too much. Wifi is still only available in the two lobby areas and the rooms (while clean) could use an upgrade. The beds are on the harder side but if you request they will put a foam topper on when you check in. If you want to be close to the beach but away from the noise, I recommend building 3 if you can request it. Building 5 (adults only) and 6 ar [... read more]e farther back from the beach but offer a more quiet space. Pool 1 is the party pool so if you are looking for that, building 1 or 2 is the place for you. FOOD: Hit and miss, some you want to go back for seconds, others you don't finish. They have reservations at numerous dinner spaces if you don't want to do the buffet. I highly recommend the Japanese restaurant, our favourite. Snack bar is always stocked with fresh chips and guac. ENTERTAINMENT: We have been to a variety of locations throughout Mexico and the entertainment crew here is by far the best. They practice every day for 5+ hours, have a large amphitheatre for performances and between the costumes and talent they are always amazing to watch. They also have a variety of shows so if you are staying more than 1 week you will likely not see the same one twice. While the shows are always family friendly, they do start a 9:30pm so keep in mind if you have young kids. They also have different activities throughout the day that you can participate in and a kids club program for the young ones. SERVICE: All members of staff that we interacted with, from maids and groundskeepers to management at check in, they are ALL very friendly and will do their best to accommodate your requests. In the end it is not the most luxurious place so if you are looking for that go elsewhere. If you're looking for a place that is budget friendly that still offers you a relaxing enjoyable trip, or if you are a family, this is a perfect place.

Riu Tequila: Awesome resort

This was the first time in Mexico and it was awesome! Love the Riu chains as been to the DR and Jamaica. Lots to do and great restaurants and buffet. Food was great everywhere, even at the beach in the yukatan hotel area where pools are. Only a 5/7 min walk to beach from Riu tequila. And you can shop nearby too. We had 6 days of sunshine then rained once. Hotel staff were great all around. The white party was nothing I have ever seen so much fun. I will definitely come back one day.

Riu Tequila: Great hotel.

Very clean and well kept hotel. Very good food. Have Celiac and they were very good to help me with the buffet items. They prepared gf pizza and pasta when requested. Also did my omelettes in a clean frying pan. Italian restaurant was very good. Rafael the head waiter spoke very good English and was well versed about gluten free items. Beach was beautiful. Not beachfront but knew that beforehand. Close to Playa de Carmen for shopping. One hour bus ride from airport.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great Reaort with a few caveats

The resort was great, clean, safe, plenty of pools and good food options. Breakfast had a tonne of options. The view from the lobby is sublime. The cons were it wasn't the greatest organizational experience. Check in was long. There's a lot of people trying to convince you to spend more money, either on a spa or on their packages. The beach was ok, the beds and chairs by the beach and pool were sometimes dirty or had a pool of water. Overall was still a good experience but slightly short of 5 s [... read more]tar.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great Resort

Very safe resort. All your shopping needs are in the Market on site. The buffet food is amazing. The only draw back is the beach, lots of rocks in the water as hurricanes are taking its toll in the water. We brought dock shoes and enjoyed the water. The beach sand was nice.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Great Resort with Amazing Amenities and an Excellent Location

This resort is a "stay at 1, play at 3" type of all-inclusive option. By staying at Grand Palladium, you are eligible to use the pools, amenities, restaurants, and facilities of the Grand Palladium Colonial and the Grand Palladium White Sand. There is so much to do and definitely something for everyone. For kids, they have a kid's club with different daily activities. They also have a junior club for teenagers where they can play and hang out with people their age. They also have multiple activi [... read more]ties (archery, water aerobics, yoga, fruit decorations, cooking classes, language classes, football, etc.) for adults. The resort also has a world-class spa (Zentropia) with an relaxing hydrotherapy circuit. The beach is amazing - your feet on fine white sand and a cool breeze constantly blowing (very fitting for relaxing on the beach). It's very clean and there's not a lot of seaweeds. The location of the resort is also very convenient. It's about an hour away from the Cancun airport and about half an hour away from Playa del Carmen. It is very close to multiple different attractions (Tulum, Xel Ha, Xcaret, etc.). Food is great with so many buffet and a la carte restaurants to choose from. They have so many selections as well (Thai, Japanese, Brazilian, Mexican, Steak, etc.) Staff was very accommodating and very friendly! Overall, a very satisfying and relaxing vacation.
