Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Trip to paradise!

This hotel is absolutely beautiful!! Our room was huge and bathroom was gorgeous and we had no problem with bugs at all!! It was a huge resort and some of our dinners were on the other side but they have trolleys to take you and they come every five minutes. The food was overall pretty good the whole time! We never went hungry and always found something we liked! Whether it be a pasta bar or a yummy steak, or even a midnight snack of fries. The entertainment was great and the staff always had something to do if it rained. Overall we were EXTREMELY happy with this resort and bragged to everyone about it! Highly highly recommend staying here (and eating at the Japanese hibachi resteraunt) hope you enjoy as much as we did:)

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great trip.

Hotel wasn't quite as nice as I thought, but for the price it was wonderful. The bed was a little hard for me and the water was barely warm at times, but the staff, the food and the surroundings were lovely. The pool was great and you had 2 choices of which pool to use; a quiet one and the larger group one. Would point out that we ended up buying a timeshare which I'm still not convinced was a great idea, soooo, if you don't want one, don't bother wasting your time at the presentation, although  [... read more]they do give you a nice gift.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: 5th vaca with a Tripcentral GBP #1

We stayed at the GBP, Coba for 7 nights in April 2014 and it was the best vacation ever. It's perfect for all ages and all types. The service, quality and grounds are incredible. Def will be returning!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: clean and relaxing resort

staff are very friendly,food is good. Resort is quiet. Food was good,but they ran out of some items very quickly. Our room was next to the main road leading into the resort and the noise was awakening us at 5 in the morning.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Disappointed

It's a long way to go for indifferent service, food not properly kept heated & a hotel that doesn't meet obligations. We paid for an ocean view for 3 adults. We had to move rooms 2 times and be very insistent to get it. Our ocean view also included a view of the back of the restaurant complete with sound of the A/C. Never going with this company again

Awesome! Good accomodations and excellent staff. Staff was very friendly and polite. Rooms were very clean and grounds were beautiful. Great location. This resort makes for a wonderful family vacation.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Sent to the Manager after 2 week stay

First and foremost I would like to thank you for the opportunity to communicate our thoughts and feelings directly to you. As you are aware this was our 3rd stay there and we were not dissatisfied with our visit overall. There were many positives and a few negatives that I will try to express in this note. I am a believer in the positive and will try to not only focus on that.. During our stay we at first were a bit saddened by the difference in the over all appearance of the resort. We had bee [... read more]n there in 2008 and returned in 2009 with a couple of our friends. At that point the resort was newer and things seemed to be better groomed and more pleasing to the eye. Age can do that and so can the amount of usage it gets and I could see that improvements are in the works. We had a couple of concerns with our room one being the air conditioning system which first did not work and later in the week it was dripping water onto the floor and it became soaked under our bed. Both of these were addressed right away and we thank you and staff for that. Our TV only worked for 15 minutes than would blink off and sometime shut completely down. This was not a real issue as we rarely used it. I would have much rather had a clock in the room, we had none with us because we left all our electric communication at home so we could just enjoy where we were. I would like to say thanks to the cleaner for our room who we met but were not really able to communicate with. She was also happy to great us and added the extra touches of decorations, flowers and excellent care she provided. I wish I spoke her language so we could tell her ourselves. When trying the Al-A-Carte we were expecting a bit different from the Italian in selection of Pasta dishes. The once we were there my dinner arrived with a beetle/bug in it and I had to send it back. It was replaced quickly but the replacement arrived with the pasta only half cooked. I tried to brave it but when the waiter noticed that I was not eating much he asked if he could try again with a different choice and I gratefully accepted his offer. This time it was good but my appetite was gone. I will say however the Minestrone Soup was delicious. We also tried the Mexican and were also disappointed with the main meal and left still hungry as we did not finish it. We went to the buffet for something else. We did eat the rest of the time in the Mediterranean where not only was the service tops but all the choices were delicious. The topper was the sit down and fully served meal as opposed to the self serve portions at the previous two. The facility was well furnished, decorated, and gave a feeling of dining out rather than a eating at a roadside restaurant. The Buffet served a great variety of choices and we were able to always find something there to eat. My only concern was the food seemed to be a bit too cold by the time we got it to a table and sat down. Often we ate omelets for breakfast and Pasta for lunch which were always hot. We do prefer hot food so this could be something just we would notice. The staff there were also polite funny and very professional. Thanks to Willy (pasta Prep), Elorna (door Greeter) with that big smile and laugh, Eddy (server) who operates at full pace plus an extra half always smiling while taking that extra second to brighten your day. We do understand the problems associated with March Breaks and the youth but if they were better supervised by older reps or additional security figures, in my opinion it would make the resort far more enjoyable for the more mature group of users who will likely be the return visitors. I do appreciate your attempts to separate them but it did seem to fall a bit short as many times we found ourselves not partaking in some things and even returning to our room to avoid the situations they created. We had drinks spilled on us, were pushed, elbowed, fallen on, insulted, had sand kick on us on and our seats at the beach, and other things we had to watch that never should have be happening between youth in public. I would like to say thank you to the entertainment staff, especially Alex who in my opinion the place would not be the same without. He was everywhere doing everything and always with such enthusiasm. If I had a need for a staff person to promote the have fun and be happy feeling I would steel him away in a wink as someone may try if word gets out. I would protect him as a highly valued asset if you can. The remaining others were also great. The bartenders were supper and very tolerant with the added pressures of the youth crowd and the increased work load they produced. I may have lost it more than once after hearing some of the comments and disrespect they received. Overall we did enjoy our stay and will likely at some point return for another vacation. We will likely try to arrange a time to avoid the youth take over but still fit it in around our anniversary. I want to say thank you very much for the bottle of Champagne which you so graciously had sent to us at the Mediterranean on Tuesday Evening. Again it is rewarding to see a person in your position out on the floor with the staff and guests taking a look instead of buried in the paperwork that comes with the job and normally consumes most in that position. Thank you and all your staff for helping us enjoy our 38th year of marriage at the resort

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Wonderful resort!

A beautiful property. Beautiful grounds and comfortable rooms. Property is a good size, not too big so quieter than most. Restaurants at this property were very good. Were able to prebook reservations though did not get all our choices. If you wanted to see a show regular shuttles were available. Only complaint was the lack of availability of umbrellas at pool. Hassled when sitting on lounge chair very early in the morning by security guard. When pointing out all the lounges covered in towels wi [... read more]th no one there, guard claimed "no English". Decide on a policy and follow through with everyone.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: A must see 5 star resort

The compound is big, but with all you could ask for in a holiday get away. We found the Esmeralda to be THE resort to go to for a couple or a family. The food, drink, rooms, beach, pools, entertainment were all top notch. There was nothing to complain about ( oh yeah it was hot and sunny ;-) , no snow here ). We didn't even have any mosquito or sand flea bites as with our other Caribbean trips, so go and enjoy this location as it was well worth the money spent.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great place to relax!

This was our first all inclusive trip! We flew with Air Transat out of Toronto and got to the resort just as the sun was setting. We were in the Royal Golden section and had a separate check in with a welcome cocktail which was great. Our room was 3 floors up overlooking the middle of the pool. There were a couple of buffet's to choose from aside from the a-la-carte's. The most popular place to eat for lunch is at the jerk shack located on the larger beach (the beach in front of the resort is pe [... read more]bbly, the larger one to the west is the better beach). There are plenty of water sports and activities to keep you amused. Just head down to the beach hut and the water staff will happily help you out. The room was clean (we also had amazing towel art every day), staff was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was exactly what we needed-CHILL! We are going back again to Bahia to get married in May 2015 and we are bringing 40 people with us...Can't wait! :)

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: a great time

We really enjoyed our vacation at Tulum Grounds are immaculate, food excellent with lots of variety, room slightly dated but spread out buildings are a benefit. Wish there was a better beach but overall a very nice place.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Excellent get away

very nice and well kept resort. food was great, service great, weather was great. and entertainment was exceptional. except for the flying bugs in our room every night, we had a great time. bathroom was very clean. beds were a good night sleep.

This was a great holiday. All the little details were looked after for us. The resort meet all our expectations. Although we decided not to spend the extra money for the adult only section, we were booked into an adult building near the beach. This turned out to be quite quiet and enjoyable. The room was very clean and the staff were most pleasant and accommodating. Although it is a large resort it never seemed crowed, either at mealtime or at the beach. The beach was clean and you could walk fo [... read more]r long distances if you so choose. There was always a wide variety of good food available to suit all ages at the buffets. To get your choice of a-la-cart restaurants you need to book them as soon as possible as they tend to fill up quickly.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Classy spot

The Ambar was just as lovely as our friends had told us-beautiful beach-opportunity to buy things but no one hassling you to buy anything.Pretty well had to get up early to get a good spot on the beach-luckily our friends are early risers-not us! The food was excellent.Grounds and rooms, washrooms all very clean.Staff courteous, professional.Our room was large and beautifully decorated.

Second time there everything very good. We like the way we can go from one hotel to another, and any buffet or pool, beach was great and easy to get to from akumal. The filet mignon was terrible at the Japanese restaurant, it was like rubber, not beef, otherwise the food was great.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Like going home!

Absolutely stunning. Everything on the property is so clean and well kept. It's the nicest grounds at any resort we've been to. We enjoy all areas no matter family or adult only. the adult only pool with the swim up bar is a great treat!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Disappointing

Negatives: No A/C in the restaurants; A/C didn't always work in the room; maids stole articles of clothing from our room (and other items from other guests, from what we heard); there were never any fresh beach towels available; room service took OVER 2 hours to deliver (when they advertise a 45 minute max. wait time). Positives: Beach and pool were great, the wedding gazebo location was perfect for our wedding. Wasn't thrilled with the different LEVELS of AlI Inclusive. Certainly had the typical Jamaican hospitality which I love and the weather was second to none Plenty to do however as I mentioned not everything and everywhere available to all guests which left a bit of a us and them feel to it

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Fantastic resort

8 of us did a week at Akumel in March 2014.: The place is absolutely fabulous......can't waitto go again. If I were to say anything negative. .....it would be that we are so spoiled now that anywhere else we wouldn go would not live up to this!!
