Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Overall good resort, will go again!

Staff were nice. we felt that stall were there to help you and very professional. Food was good. Every thing was clean. we liked the layout of the resort. Great café bar. I would definitely reserve a room with the beach/water view next time

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: amazing resort

we have to remember we are in Cuba the food is Cuban not Canadian alot conplained about the food, resort, the people were great I found every body very friendly, rooms was clean daily , fresh towels daily pool and beach were super I go back again 3.5 star

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: What a beach!!!

The hotel was very nice. It’s Cuba so it’s older then other countries and they don’t have the resources we have in Canada. The beds were good, the rooms very clean, the shower water was hot. The food was very good, especially the homemade bread and cheese. The staff was always cleaning and replacing items at the buffet. Entertainment was great, better then anywhere else we seen in Cuba (modern dancing instead of 1950 style). The beach was fantastic, water super clear and you could walk ou [... read more]t about 1/2 a block before it gets above the waist on an adult. The sand was soft and went on for miles so it was fantastic for walking or building sandcastles. Wished we went for two weeks.

Melia Cayo Coco: Amazing resort!!

The lagoon room we had was great, with beautiful sunsets and a lovely veranda overlooking the water. The food in the buffet was fresh and plentiful with lots of different types to choose from. All the other eating areas were also very good and easily accessible.We really enjoyed the music in the lounge each evening and the drinks were also very good.We loved the beach and the water was so warm .The beach bar was very handy. We loved everything about this resort and will return again.

Carisol los Corales: Great Week!

This is a great resort for 3stars for easy going and not-picky travellers. If you are travelling because you want sun and beach, but also a coral by shore full of fish and sea life, then great spot! The hotel is older, and not at it’s full peak in maintenance. You will come across broken path ways and some worn areas. Some public bathrooms don’t have toilet seats so I used my rooms bathroom primarily. Please understand that the staff are all lovely hard working Cubans that put up with lots of drunk people. I did my best to tip and show appreciation and it was always rewarded in turn. The room was basic but I liked the high ceilings and AC. We always had warm water and only experienced a water shortage after a night black out stopped the resorts pump. It returned to normal flow hours later with little inconvenience as the resort provided bottle water. Only got bit by mosquitoes from vent into bathroom. We enjoyed the Disco and Isreal the dj was a great entertainer. The food was a decent selection for a 3 star. We thought the staff did a great job of keeping it clean and tasty. We really were happy to have guava, plantains, bananas and beach coconut. We didn’t feel sick at all and it’s the first resort that the water was safe to drink. We did stick to bottled bar water for most the time. The pool was very clean all the time, on the beach water gear and boats were always available day hours. The beach is rougher white sand, coral and weedy. But cleared areas by the shore still should wear water shoes. Snorkeling was great and easy to swim to and saw lot’s of sea life! All in all, great experience but definitely for seasoned travellers who know that despite the embargo the Cubans offer great service as hosts. We plan on continuing our yearly vacation to Cuba, and would return to this hotel if returning to Santiago region. Im giving it a 5 star rating because we didn’t want to leave! It is a personal rating regardless of some of it’s faults.

Palma Real: Cuba Vacation

Hotel is ideal location downtown next to Havana Club nightclub, House of Rum, Bank, Calle 62 Bar, Barbacaos Steakhouse and many shops. Beach is a walk down the street which is unfortunately under repair. Snack/bar available and loungers under shade. Beach is very beautiful. Hotel is older and rooms need updating/repair. Moved to a better room with walkout to pool without issue. Entertainment shows and music daily at the pool in the afternoon. Buffet always had something - beef potatoes ice cream [... read more] omelettes . No ice at pool bar. Lobby bar can get crowded. Good resort for a good price. Airport on return was packed ' -lineups out the door and flight delayed. Smoking room in airport after security.

Palma Real: Good Resort Downtown

Good resort located downtown within walking distance to shops, restaurants, nightclubs and bank. Beach is across the street which had construction going on. Older hotel with swimup bar and music/entertainment at the pool. Nightly shows with bar available. Buffet choices were repetative. A la cartes were only open on fri/sat. Italian pizzaria was not opened. Snack bar choices were limited. Wine only available at the buffet or to purchase at the shops on site. Ran out of ice most days and rum one  [... read more]night. Most of the staff are very kind and accomodating and a pleasure to talk to. 2 of the buildings were shut down - the place must get packed when in full operation! Enjoyed my time here and would return for the right price.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Ocean Casa Del Mar Review

Ocean Casa Del Mar in Cayo Santa Maria February 28th to March 6th was where we spent our vacation. The hotel was very very good and so is the room in the service we were impressed with the quality of service that we received from both dining staff and bus boys and all those that have anything to do with us we're more than Pleasant and helpful the beaches were beautiful. We would recommend this location to our friends for future getaway.

Melia Marina Varadero: good

The people at the hotel were welcoming from the first moment from our arrival. The room was very clean and the room service was very fast and we get back a phone call to reassure that we got what we want. The buffet we had lots of variety everyday and the waiters were very polite and friendly. The beach was so clean and many activity there and another buffet close by for the people on the beach. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great Resort!!

We again visited our Cuban family at the Iberostar Daiquiri. We stayed February 22nd to March 7th. This was our 10th visit to this resort and most certainly will not be our last. We had a Seaview Room with king bed. The rooms are very basic but clean. Food was very good this year with a wide variety. We ate at both the buffet and a la cartes and enjoyed both options. Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Beautiful resort

We have been to this resort 3 times and love it more and more each time. Planning a family vacation this summer. Even thou it was a busy time, we enjoyed everything the hotel had to offer. Totally recommend.

Playa Vista Azul: Disappointed

Grounds are well kept Public areas generally well kept with the exception of public women’s washrooms that we’re often without toilet paper Beach area had exposed jagged rock when you stepped off the stairs which posed a safety risk Room fridge was not stalked upon arrival and room was not cleaned well Had to repeatedly ask for towels and fridge stock through trip Food was tolerable in al carte restaurant however buffets were poor We both were ill on day 2 and needed to carefully sele [... read more]ct food options Quality of fruit was poor and very limited vegetable options The beach buffet location had birds who would walk on tables The resort appeared understaffed and serving staff appeared overwhelmed and in a few cases rude

Playa Vista Azul: Good resort

The good- privilege rooms are first class. Premium drinks are spot on. Excursions are top notch. personnel on the privilege side of the resort are awesome. The bad- the food and service from the a-la-carte and the buffets are 2 star resort at best. French fries are good though but usually empty.

Gran Muthu Imperial: Amazing resort

I can’t say one bad thing about this resort. The staff was great. The food was pretty good. The bread! Oh the bread. 😊. The resort grounds were beautifully landscaped. I love the three pools and the beach was amazing. Our room was clean and never needed to ask for towels or have our fridge stocked. Great value and will definitely come back again and again. I love Cuba again.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Ok resort.

The resort needs a lot of work. Buffet area needs equipment update. The food was always cold. Rooms were ok, could use some updating. Bathroom by the beach attached to restaurant was disgusting all the time. The smell was horrendous. Al la cartes were not great. The beach was incredible, the best I have ever seen. I know its Cuba but s little up keep and TLC would go a long way. Clean up all the live wires hanging out everywhere. Definitely not a 4 1/2 Star. It is a 3 1/2 at best.

Melia Costa Rey: I expected better

Food wasn’t too bad. Restaurants and buffets were as good. Main complaint was the staff. Not all but but most were not very friendly and just expected tips. When they got it they wouldn’t return for service. Credit card machines always seemed to be down when purchasing items at front desk or cigars.

Starfish Jibacoa: Breath Taking View and Amazing staff

I have been to this resort 2 times and plan on becoming a repeat visitor. The staff is absolutely amazing and the resort is a whole new experience. The bungalows give it a village type of feeling and the grounds are extremely well kept and clean. Same for the rooms and buffet. I love this place!

Occidental Arenas Blancas: Fair

This was my second stay here, the resort is fair. I would not call it a 4 star though. If you go with the mind set that you’re going to Cuba for the beach and to relax then you’re good. We the food was acceptable but they need to work on their costumer service skills.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: What a place!!!

Exxcellent beach, staff and acommodation (spacious and clean) Decent food and entertainment. We've been to Cuba many times but this resort offers the best value for our hard earned money. We'll go back!

Valentin Perla Blanca: Nice Resort

The resort has beautiful grounds and gardens. Hotel room was very good. Concern with lack of hot water for the showers. Food was good. Lack of beer during the day was a concern. The staff were great! The Cuban people are so gracious and kind.
