IFA Villas Bavaro Beach Resorts: Great resort!

IFA Villas Bavaro Beach Resorts was a great place to have our week long vacation in the sun. The resort is newly renovated and we loved it. It was so clean and the staff were always so happy and courteous. The only thing that was disappointing was the distance to the ocean, but it was still amazing to be in this paradise. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a smaller more quaint resort. Paradisus Punta Cana: Paradise at Paradisus!!

Top notch resort whose employees go out of their way to please you. Grounds impeccable, rooms very clean and food certainly 5 star. Royal Service wonderful if in your budget. Large white sand beach area, great swimming, no rocks

Grand Bavaro Princess: Great time away! I'm

Resort grounds are beautiful and well kept. Rooms were clean, spacious and fridge was stocked everyday. One of the buffets was not as good as the other. The main buffet in the lobby had better selection in my opinion. Overall our week here was great but I'm not sure for the money I would come back

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Great but not perfect vacation

We were in Punta Cana between March 22 and April 5th. Our vacation between airports experiences (arrival and departure) was amazing at this resort. Punta Cana "International" airport is NOT what I expected for a high volume tourist area. Lined up as cattle to go through both security checks, took forever to get to hotel (3 hours after landing). Watch out for the words "included" and "complimentary" as at first you think you are getting something for free but they always have a way to get you to [... read more] pay for it. We were given "complimentary" golf but ended up we had to pay for the golf cart which was not included and was mandatory. Free golf, right' yeah but the golf cart cost us 75$ US each!! so our game ended up costing us 150$. The 7 games I planned on playing ended up being 1 game and my clubs stayed in the room for the remainder of the vacation. Complementary 1000$ is not cash you can spend but a % taken off various items such as higher end wine, room service etc.. all the stuff you basically would not take advantage of being in an all inclusive resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Totally Wonderful

Every moment from out arrival to departure was amazing. The staff, the cleanliness, the entertainment, the food-EVERYTHING was fantastic. Extremely friendly staff. They could practice their English just a bit more. But then I could also practice my Spanish. Another thing, I could only exchange for 10-$1.00 American dollars per day. TRS Turquesa: Awesome resort

This was our second stay at the royal suites palladium. Everything was excellent, loved the wet area of the spa which was included with royal suites!! We had a swim out room which rocked would definitely recommend. Make sure to ask for premium booze they dont automatically serve the good stuff. Main big Buffet got repetitive stick to the royal suites buffet and make reservations at the restraunts😉 Only thing is stay away from people offering welcome breakfast and gifts unless you are lo [... read more]oking to waste 2 or more hours hearing about time share and the cost is like 20000USD or more....

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: 2nd Time Here, Will be a Third!

This is my second trip to the Esmeralda with my son. A great resort if you are traveling solo, with older offspring, and now it looks like it will be for the younger ones also. I can't say enough about this resort other than, if you do not enjoy this place, I do not know where you will go to find nicer staff, great food, incredible beach, and beautiful surroundings at such a reasonable price. Sensatori Resort Punta Cana: Justifies the 5 star rating

this resort opened only some 10 months ago but seemed mature both the grounds and buildings as well as the staff. The food was plentiful and nicely presented. The staff was very friendly and helpful..Our room was large with an additional sitting area inside and 5 separate sitting areas on the veranda which surrounded 22 sides of our room separated from the room by glass. Although our building was adult only we were surprised to see many families accompanied by children who had full access to the [... read more] facilities including visiting at the pool bar and ordering virgin cocktails. They did not diminish our experience but guests need to be aware that there may be a good number of children present Pools and ocean are immediately adjacent to the other facilities and minimal walking is required and for someone with a disability rides are available. We thought that communication between management and guests could be improved

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Great Resort

Very clean resort, Liked the service and food. The beach was also kept well, cleaned daily from the wash ups. The pool area could use more chairs. Would definitely return to this resort. Overall this is a good resort for the value.

Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Spa Resort: Not too bad ...

I traveled with my friend and her mom the last week of March. Our flight was delayed so we only arrived at hotel around 11pm. They had upgraded my friends but left me on the opposite end of the resort in a room by myself.. after much discussion and involvement of our sunwing rep Santo, they finally moved us close to one another. The front desk staff are not very obliging or accommodating as a rule... money talks I guess. The food was good as were the rooms. We played the towel game for chairs with security and had great loungers every day. The vendors in the beach as well as the picture with my monkey were a pain in the butt!! they were only allowed up so far and then at 5 they turned into drug dealers. not so fun. Beach was great as was the water.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Tropical Paradise

This is our THIRD visit to this resort. (2 weeks of sun ) Since the last time (it was the Be Live Grand Punta Cana) the resort has gotten larger. There are now 16 villas to accommodate tourists. The whole resort is VERY BUSY..........it is the most booked resort on the beach of Cabeza de Toro. Food is VERY GOOD with many a la carte spots as well as Windows buffet. Staff could not be better with the rooms very well cleaned. There is a two tier system now with the all inclusive you buy and then the VIP upgrade ............PLEASE check this out carefully $$$$$ We go for some quality down time, THE BEACH for walking, good food.............not a go go go vacation. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Another beautiful trip!!!

This is our fourth time at this resort (Grand Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar Blue) and as in other years our vacation was fantastic. The rooms at the Ambar Blue are older and definitely show some wear, but they are still very nice, comfortable and clean rooms. We stayed probably in the middle area of this resort which we requested earlier via an email to the resort as we knew there was construction on the one side and we didn't want to be affected by that. The staff are very friendly (they call us family), the food was great, the grounds including the beach are breath taking and we were very happy with our trip.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Beautiful experiance and resort!

Not many bad things to say about this resort. The staff is very friendly the grounds are beyond beautiful, the food is amazing! (Seafood restaurant may not be the freshest) The one thing this resort needs is more beach chairs!!! Otherwise a fantastic trip.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: exceptional resort

the grounds were clean well maintained.loved the resort the staff at the pool,our butler jose took very good care of us,i highly recommend this resort the elegance club is the way to go. one negative the staff at the see&sea rest.not too freindly at times always a wait for water. the food was great,lobster every night if you want,the beach always clean of sea weed in the morning.you must check out the front lobby wow its spectacular.always different entertainment,at night.

Excellence El Carmen: Excellent resort in every way

I have to tell you that this is by far the best resort I have visited to date. The gardens are beautiful, the lawns fresh and green and the beach is sandy and clean with lots of lounge chairs with shade. Clean towels were rolled and ready all day in stands all over the resort . Every building had their own pool plus there was a swim up bar pool close to the beach . The rooms were amazing. The balcony had a double cushioned lounger, private jetted tub and anot her outside shaded bed with pillows. We are early risers so every morning we'd watch the ground and pool crews come out and quietly go to work . Lots of joggers doing laps as there are good secure areas available . The dining was amazing . We did not have one bad meal the entire time we were there. There are a variety of restaurants with different themes so something for all palates. Wonderful presentation . The morning buffet had a great variety also with all breakfast menus covered. There were bars open scattered throughout the resort plus the main lobby area had a great martini bar, sports bar and more. Entertainment was provided in the form of morning exercise routines at the beach area, pool tables in the main lobby area plus spectacular theatre entertainment every evening . But none of this can compare to the royal treatment you got from each and every member of the staff . Always smiling and ready to go that extra for you . From getting that perfect omelet in the morning, serving you drinks at the beach and all the pools, asking about food allergies, remembering how full you like your coffee cup and even going to get your favorite drink from another bar because they ran out, WOW. The restaurant staff, the 24 hour room service, the maid service and even the grounds workers, all remarkable .

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: 5 night stay at Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana

Beautiful beach, lots of pools, trolleys around all the time, delicious food, lots of restaurants and shopping on resort. Try the mamajuana shots, guacamole and the tepanyaki reatraunt! Clean washrooms, lots of sand cleaning showers available and big rooms. 2 problems - 1: one night around 930 pm our lock to our room broke and it took 2 hours to resolve the issue. 2: on checkout day we called for the bell boy (being the first villa: 15 min walk from the front desk) to come collect our lugg [... read more]age. After 40 mins no one came, so we called again. A total of an hour later and still no one. We tried to get on a regular trolley with our luggage and were told to get off. We ended up walking our luggage up to check out. Good thing we set lots of extra time aside! The worst thing was we saw several empty bellboy vehicles driving around the complex as we walked up. A suggestion would be to have more activities at the pool involving music. I found the fun and excitement didn't get started until the water aerobics around 3/4 as the music was up and a lot of people joined in. Overall a great place to stay for vacation!

Blau Natura Park Resort: Great Resort

My wife and I stayed at the Blau Natura Park Resort. It is a beautiful resort .The food was very good. We had the select room and it was worth the extra cost. The select rooms are very nice and placed near the beach and pool area.The Wi-Fi was good and could be used through-out the resort.The staff were very friendly and helpful. Many of the birds including the flamingos and peacocks can be hand fed.This resort gets a big thumbs up and we plan to return next year.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Very relaxing and enjoyable stay

stayed April 12-19 (over Easter) BP resorts are well-oiled machines; cleanliness and physical beauty are their brand. The staff work tirelessly to keep everything from the grounds to the presentation of food looking picture perfect. They also try hard to create special experiences for their guests (e.g. sunset champagne party, gin and tonic bar, beach party, etc.). check-in: like other travellers, the construction situation caused us to be in a construction-facing room on our arrival night [... read more], but we were promptly switched to another room the next day. I felt like BP staff were genuinely trying to make the best of a bad situation. However, it would have been nice to be told this at check-in rather than have us return to the lobby. But since we were expecting a less than smooth check-in, we just rolled with it. Food: great variety (perhaps a bit too much at times as there appeared to be a lot of food waste), fresh, seasonal, tasty. Would have been great if the buffet food was a tad hotter, but it's a feat preparing so much food for so many people. Kudos to the staff for continuously filling our plates and glasses with such delicacies. A la cartes were fun. The apps at the Italian restaurant were particularly memorable -- so plentiful and delicious. I also enjoyed the desserts -- not the typical buffet butter tart/carrot cake/brownie fare, but unique, regionally inspired and not overly sweet desserts. Service: friendly and prompt; not the same standards that we expect in N.America, but considering the language barrier, the service was very good Tips for first-timers: bring your own thermal cups (good for your beer and the planet). The towel game is a real thing this time of year, however we were able to find beach spots in the shade by the time we switched from pool to beach mid-afternoon. The resort is not known for its entertainment (e.g. compared to the Hard Rock), but there is a night life -- head to the resort Village in the evening. The resort is big, but not impossible to get around. We jogged a nice 4 km loop most mornings. We tipped, but not all the time and did not feel that staff expected tips in exchange for service. Overall this resort will leave you happy, especially considering it is well below $2000 CAD. We will be back.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Excellent Resort, people, service, facilities, beach and food!!!!

We've been to Cuba and Mexico, and this surpassed both!!! I was extremely pleased with the resort. My wife and I will be back and likely more than once in the future. I have never experienced such good service, and the place was excellent. we did not venture far form the Esmeralda since we like things close. the beach was great and the service and food was impeccable. A 5+ for us. Language was a slight issue but I learned beaucoup d'espagniol at our stay so that's on us as much as on them :)

The resort was beautiful, one of the nicest kept resorts we have stayed at. The beach was well maintained, and they had some hard working guys raking the beach all day long - it was the nicest part of the whole beach. The entertainment staff were great, with lots of fun stuff going on. The rooms and resort were clean as well. Now the bad stuff. The food was ok, the beach BBQs were great. The buffet was the same every day and the food was just ok. The restaurants were great, but hard to  [... read more]book into. Most of the wait staff were very friendly, but not the kitchen staff. The bars were understaffed, and the bartenders were not friendly. The hotel lobby staff, and most other staff were NOT friendly at all - in some case down right rude! This is not the case at other DR resorts we have been to. The rooms were clean, but the maid service was terrible - and our maid was absolutely rude to us. We actually complained - first time we have ever had to do this. The overall resort is large and hard to figure out the trolley system - don't ask someone for directions unless you don't mind a dirty look - again staff are not friendly or helpful. Finally, if you want a spot on the beach you had better get down there around 5:30 am!
