Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Average resort but not 4 1/2 stars
We recently visited Iberostar Laguna Azul hotel in Varadero after 10 years .If you are looking for 4 or 5 star hotel this is NOT the place , and for the price you pay you can get better services anywhere else. The place was in the past nice but now is outdated requiring a major facelift . Grounds are nice and well kept. Food is repetitive consisting in a lot of cooked meats , rice , pasta but no BBQ . They running out daily of clean dishes , mint for mohito/drinks, no straw [... read more]
Iberostar Selection Holguin: So-so resort
I could have been told that on my return trip I was booked, along with my friend, on a Priority seat. It would have allowed me to avoid two hours of lining up for two hours for the check in an customs in an unbelievably slow process.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Amazing Experience
The resort was very clean and very welcoming. It was nice to sit by the pool and relax or to take advantage of the variety of planned activities if we wanted to participate. The dining was great offering a variety of ethnic foods. It was unfortunate wine was not available however other beverages were available. I would definitely recommend the resort and I will be returning. Ps. met some great people. New friendships.
Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Great resort
We upgraded to Privilege when we arrived and it was definately worth it. The breakfasts and dinners at the privileged lounge were great. Cuba resorts are well know for their bland, bad food. This was definately not the case here.
Muthu Colonial Hotel: Old World Charm Meets Amazing Beaches
The spanish colonial design of this resort is very reminiscent of the architecture of Old Havana, and the resort is set up like a little town. The grounds are very well kept, and the rooms are spacious and clean. I spent every morning in the lobby terrace sipping cappuccinos and taking in the salty breeze from the beach, which was just steps away. The food was great, and the chefs preparing it were always happy to serve. Every morning, I enjoyed pancakes, bacon, fried bananas and a breakfast drin [... read more]
Gran Muthu Imperial: Amazing resort

Brisas Guardalavaca: Beautiful spot
Just back from a lovely vacation at Brisas! If you’re looking for an entertaining staff, beautiful gardens and true Cuban culture this will be the place for you. We had a great week here!! The resort however is 25 years old!
Sol Turquesa Beach: Amazing staff. Lovely people work there and do their best. They are worried.
Been there 4 times but very sad this time. It is now adults designation so extremely loud microphones in lobby and at pool could be heard on the beach and on our deck. Fewer people than before when families, of different sorts filled up the resort. La creole is shut down, central square was empty, fewer la carte meals, 2 instead of 3. But, amazing buffet dinner on Wedneday, very clean room and service excellent. Gardens are well tended and cared for . The wood and thatch make this resort uniq [... read more]
Muthu Colonial Hotel: Great trip!!
Hotel had old world charm!! Loved the main lobby where you could sit in the shade and either read a book or watch the world go by. Rooms were clean....as were the grounds. Staff was amazing!! Wait staff was very friendly and chatted easily with guests. Grounds were very clean....gardeners worked hard everyday making sure grass was cut, plants pruned back and pathways swept. Beach was clean and seaweed was removed from it. Yes we had a couple of hiccups with water in our room but hotel staff resp [... read more]

Valentin Perla Blanca: I’ll be back
What a great resort. Plenary to eat at every meal, a cold drink is never very far as there is places everywhere. The pool was relaxing and the staff was more than willing to help with anything you needed. Beautiful beach to enjoy long walks, relaxing lounging. Clean rooms and hot water every day. Always something in the lobby in the evening to entertain.
Melia Costa Rey: Room with a view
The Pullman was a great resort. the staff were quite friendly, although the front staff seemed a little moody at times. The resort itself was clean and a lot of staff working to keep it that way. However the bathrooms did run out of toilet paper a lot. The food was excellent in my opinion. Having never been to Cuba and hearing how the food wasn’t good, I am happy to say they, whoever they are, are wrong . I am having buffet withdrawals! Missing their cheese and bread and ice cream lol As far a [... read more]
Valentin Perla Blanca: A great vacation
We really enjoyed our time here. The staff are lovely and try very hard. The food was good and we never went to bed hungry. We enjoyed all of our a la cartes and the food was lovely. The beach here is beautiful and had lots of great beach walks. This has been my favourite Cuban resort thus far. The bus ride is long to the resort but interesting as you get to see lots of Cuba. Only complaint if you could call it that is a few times beer was hard to find but we adapted. Came home relaxed and happy [... read more]
Sol Turquesa Beach: Won't Go Back...
I've been to Cuba many times and I love the people! I'm also not a super fussy person about the resort for the most part. Cleanliness, a semi comfortable bed and white wine. That's all I need for a week in the sun. Nothing fancy. This trip had none of those. Rooms were awful, the beds sunk in the middle without even laying down, our room was infested with midges (tiny, horrible biting flies) that ATE me alive! I'm still scratching my legs a week later, there was no white wine at ANY b [... read more]
Sol Varadero Beach: Good resort
Good: new, nice beach, shower in room. Lobby bar was great. Bad: Slow service, freezing cold pool, always out of toilet paper, not enough bar staff to keep up, fire alarms kept going off, no stocked fridge in room,
Melia Costa Rey: Excellent Resort
Our recent trip to The Pullman Cayo Coco was one of the best places we have visited in the Caribbean! We stayed for 8 days, in the family side and there were a couple of windy, cloudy days, but it is their winter so we took it in stride. Other guests that stayed in the Collection adult side also stated they loved it there. The resort is stunning and the layout of the grounds is perfect. Whatever block of rooms you are in, are close to everything the Pullman has to offer. The food was abundan [... read more]
Melia Costa Rey: More of a 3 star
Food was average Room was dampy Cockroach on flat grill at Japanese resto Fantastic beach lots of lounge chairs Never a problem for daily beach towels Snack bar very busy Buffet with repetitive food Talented entertainment All forms of coffee like water. Bring your own from home. Water bottles only available through housekeeping
Valentin Perla Blanca: Good resort for Cuba for price.
Great services from all employees. Older hotel but they try the best to accommodate. Beach and food had great varieties need French fries for under 30’s Bring condiments( salt, ketchup,Tabasco, salad dressing, etc.)
Playa Luxury Cayo Las Brujas: Beautiful Resort, but...
Angsana, Cayo Santa Maria is a very beautiful adults only resort! Being able to snorkel off both the amazing main beach and the quiet beach was a bonus! Our very clean modern room was fantastic! Comfortable king size bed, hot shower, and stunning 180 degree ocean view off the balcony was the best we've had at an all inclusive. Staff was excellent and drinks were good (bar staff was fabulous). Good entertainment in the lobby bar but it happened when most people were at dinner and finished at 10:0 [... read more]
Hotel Tuxpan: Some upgrades needed, but great overall
The staff was wonderful, very helpful and pleasant. The grounds, pool are various buildings were great. Even the food was good. The drawbacks are that the glass patio doors are foggy and need replacing, at least in the 2 rooms we used. The elevator lights and floor needs upgrading. And the toilet kept running in our room. But overall still a great place to go.
