Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Amazing resort with great staff

This resort was breathtaking with computer wallpaper views everywhere you looked. Everything was very clean and and the staff were mostly very nice. Just remember that if you treat people with respect they respect you back. Barcelo Bavaro Place is a top notch resort with a amazing beach

Grand Palladium Palace: Beyond my wildest dreams!

A combo of pure speechlessness and “This place is a dream” was a phrase said countless times over the week by us. I 100% recommend anyone to visit. families, young and old alike. It is truly paradise

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great resort

April 20, 2019 was our last day in be live hotel. When we were planning our vacation we were hesitant to choose this hotel because of reading a few bad reviews; but we were pleasantly surprised after arriving. Right away one of the welcoming crew named George made connection with us. He was supper helpful throughout our stay. Our room was superior deluxe and was opening to the pool which was very nice and convenient. Cleaning service was excellent. In the beginning our room was smelly but as soon as they knew about it they took our concern seriously and problem was solved right away. Food was good , salad and fruits were excellent. quality. Enjoyed grilled fish , chicken , delicious cooked veggies. We drowned ourselves in juicy passion fruits, sweet mango and papayas. Entertainment crew “excellenteh” ,” chocolateh” , “coco cola “and MC were very very nice and family like. Crew were funny , friendly and talented and inviting. We did not have kids but saw lot of activities for kids at every corner. If we want to recommend one thing to improve that is to increase staff in Buffett and restaurants. Servers did not have time to make connections with the guest so we spent less on tips. Lots of restaurant to choose from, Mexican, steak house, Lobster and couple of more. All ages hotel. Many young families and retirees mixed. Main pool seemed too small and crowded. Did not use the main pool. But other vip pools were available. Overall we had excellent time in this hotel and will be back.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Very nice resort

Resort was nicer than expected. Beautiful grounds, pools, beach. Lots of activities for people of all ages. Food was good with lots of options. Rooms were average but very clean. Shower is very small. Would go back to this resort.

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Awesome Resort!

Smaller resort with a very relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful beach and very nice pool area. One side is Adult Only, and the middle is shallow with loungers for tanning. Nice idea, the other side is children and adult accessible. The rooms were decent, and clean. Maid service was great. The bars were good, but we found if you didn't tip every time, you were not waited on fairly. The pool bars male servers were friendlier than the women. We found that there were a lot of people vacationing from Northern Europe, some of which could be very rude to the workers and security. That was somewhat annoying and aggravating, not the hotel's fault. We went for a relaxing vacation, and that's exactly what we got!

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: A huge resort

The standard rooms were ok. Well maintained everyday. The grounds out of 5 was to me a 4 of keeping it clean. The resort is quite large so you better enjoy walking and stairs to get to places, they do provide shuttles which is a bonus. VIP people should have there own section there was a lot of VIP places we couldn't go in that made it awkward. Food was great plenty of dishes.

Sunscape Dominicus La Romana: Beautiful Beach & Amazing Staff

Hotel grounds are well kept. Workers always making sure the grounds are maintained. Some rooms are more updated than others. But house keepers work hard and rooms are cleaned well. Beds are so comfy. We stayed in building 19. Japanese Restaurant so good and fun. Pizza Restaurant was simple but pizza was really good. Drinks are strong. Coffee bar amazing! Get the VIP package. Mario in the VIP lounge will be missed. Beach is beautiful. Entertainment staff are great and work very hard. [... read more] All main line staff spoke several languages. The vendors can be a little aggressive so that would be my only suggestion to management would be to ask them to tone it down a notch.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful Resort With Great Staff

We loved our 1 week stay at this resort. Rooms,Pools were very clean and landscaping was maintained perfectly. All staff and bartenders were the friendliest I have experienced at any resort I have been to. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: Mostly Good

The grounds, beach and pool are amazing! Booked what we thought was Reef but ended up on the Beach side, no biggie except it was the non renovated side, so it was old and dated. Room was minimal, nothing fancy at all. The house keeper gave us the bare minimum for cleaning, there was hair on the bathroom floor that was there for 3 days until we cleaned it out selves. She only swept, no mopping the whole time we were there. When the staff switched on the weekend it was much better. The food at the buffet was the same the whole week, so by the end of 7 days it was enough.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Great resort

The grounds were spectacular, pool amazing, fantastic food and drink on a whim. Staff were wonderful. There were a few issues (a fire in the spa, a malodorous room) but all in all it was a great place. The bar service was spectacular!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Most Horrendous Experience!!!

From check in to check out this resort was horrendous. No personal care at all. Lack of communication skills and not understanding a word we said was beyond acceptable. We felt like a herd of cows the entire trip....next, next. This resort has changed a lot in the 7 years since we were there last and has become a Romper Room for kids. Yes it's a family resort, however, it was inundated with kids EVERYWHERE!!! Even if you stayed in Ambar Adults only you still had kids wondering around and d [... read more]inners with kids crying etc. Waiters at dinner were very impersonable and just took your order and wanted you out for next people. First 2 nights we could barely get food. We were told when we arrived late, that there was no where to get food, yet there is a snack bar (not very good but it's there and we found by accident) and the Sports Bar served food. Next night our dinner reservation was messed up and we were told to come back at 9:30 (it was now 7:30). We said the place is half empty surely you can fit us in. All we got at this resort was NO. We went to Italian restaurant next door, same thing almost empty but we couldn't go in. So we went to Ambar section buffet next to that since we had gone over to that side for original reservation that was messed up, and got told we couldn't eat there either. We went to Sports bar to eat and ordered and tons of food coming out and yet we were still waiting for over an hour. We nicely asked if our food was coming out and was told yes and still waited. We finally asked another waitress and she said oh, and came out with two orders in less than 5 mins so we were just forgotten even though we asked. Food is horrible. Always cold and exact same selection breakfast lunch and dinner. There is NO entertainment for Adults in this place. Even at 10:30 at night it's still kids dance party time. Ridiculous!!! The pools were just herds of chairs.....you can't move, same with the beach. Needless to say, we have been to a Bahia Principe resort 3 times, this one twice and always recommended people to go. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS RESORT EVER AGAIN. It was extremely disappointing. Just so many issues. The Manager actually lied to us when we asked about a courtesy suite to shower since we had a late flight out and he said it was all arranged, my husband asked if we would have an issue can we get that in writing and he said it's all on your file all taken care of (we asked to keep our room free of charge since they didn't clean it until 5 pm most days which interfered with us/our time but got NO). Next day we go as instructed to get key for courtesy room and we got what are you talking about? Nothing on file and we do not have that. New manager said just a minute went in back and came back out and told us to go line up at guest services which we did not do as they had instructed us to front desk to begin with....he just didn't want to deal. MOST HORRENDOUS TIME/RESORT we've ever experienced.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Friendly Staff

The room was dated but very clean, staff were friendly and helpful and the beach was beautiful. Pools were clean and food was good. Favorite a la carte was the Brazilian. Best morning Buffet was at the Punta Cana Princess which you have access to as well as your own buffet. Would rate 3 1/2 stars overall.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Great resort

This was our fourth time to the la Romana Bougainville resort. The staff are all amazing they go out of their way to make you feel at home. The only thing I would change would be that they change to menus in the a la carte restaurants. Other than that it was an amazing vacation.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Wonderful Vacation!

Hotel was lovely, quaint, chick! It was refreshing to stay at a small resort for a change, be able to walk from one end to the other in less than 5 minutes. And did not give anything up in regard to facilities, still had wonderful restaurants, pool areas, and entertainment. Staff were plentiful, courteous, and resort was clean, although the resort is starting to show signs of wear. Food was hot, tasty, and well presented.

Dreams La Romana: Disappointing

The hotel was lovely and the food was very good. But I found the site to be too noisy for my liking and the beach was a disappointment considering I am used to the beaches in Cuba. It was small and noisy. A public beach was right next to our hotel’s small beach and it was noisy and also the main location for the tour boats to pick up the tourists to take them out to the reef etc. There were over 20 tour buses everyday and hundreds of tourists being moved on and off boats. The entertainment tea [... read more]m at the hotel took over both the pool and the beach so it was very difficult to not have to listen to the constant heavy beat of their music. Also the “privileged” guests, those who paid more for upgrades, were noticeably treated better with special areas on the already too small beach roped off for only them to use. We were actually told to move one day as we didn’t know we were not allowed on that part of the beach. And it’s not obvious or somewhere removed. It’s right in front of the hotel and eating area. Created a bad feeling. Much busier and more touristy than I am used to in Cayo Coco, Cuba

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Wonderful time had by all!!

Great family vacation, family friendly with all the amenities. Totally recommend to others. The pools and entertainment were fun. Load of memory opportunities. Food and beverages average but plentiful. Kids had a blast and were well entertained. Nice and relaxing otherwise.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great resort

From food to staff (especially Daritza by the pool)to everything you want, Ambar was fantastic! Great times 👍 First time we stayed at an all adult resort and we loved it! The rooms were awesome and the whole staff made our stay easy! We will definitely go back👍

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Beautiful resort

The hotel was spotless. The landscaping/gardens were lush and very well maintained. Pool and beach were clean and beautiful. Food was good. Restaurants and buffets served large selection of meats, fish, vegetables and fruits. Nothing about the resort was disappointing. Service however...was slow. We found communication with the front desk was difficult and were misinformed about a couple of things due to inability to understand. All staff were pleasant even though they could not understand.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: R&R in Punta Cana

We really liked this resort and we would go back. Pros: The layout was great; the newly renovated privileged room was clean and spacious with the fridge always stocked; the food in all of the restaurants including the two buffets was very good; the pool was large enough and had ample seating with umbrellas; the beach was cleaned every morning and had a water walking path that was very cool. The Marvillaoso staff need to take "no" for answer the first time and not bother guests repeatedly. It would have been nice if there was a sports bar since we like to watch the NHL playoffs, but we knew upon booking that there was no such bar. N/A: We didn't take part in the activities or the shows or the disco. But all seemed very well attended and fun. It was a great vacation for us as we just wanted great weather and R&R - we got both!

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Tropical resort

The grounds are simply beautiful & immaculate! From our beach front rooms the ocean views were amazing. Staff very helpful, pleasant. Food was good - drinks even better! Weather was beautiful. Overall a wonderful vacation.
