Riu Montego Bay: Riu Montego Bay Resort

We count our blessings, thank you to the wonderful staff who have made our vacation at Riu Montego Bay Resort a memorable one. The sun salutation was a nice touch. As for the food, Kulinarium is highly recommended. Took at cab (see desk at hotel entrance) to Rockland Bird Sanctuary; Dwayne Finnikin was our tour operator. Thank you Dwayne for making our trip a safe one.

Sandy Haven: Ya Mon! Everything IRE!

We just got back from spending 7 wonderful days at this beautiful boutique hotel. There are not enough positive words to say about the property, location on the beach and all the wonderful people who work there. Kudos to Pops, Shirley, Kevon and Edward . Thank you all for all your great recommendations and helping us have the time of our life. You will never be forgotten and we will be back to visit you again for sure.

Couples Swept Away: Best beach !

I am a repeat guest and loved it! Many of the staff here go above and beyond. I did find a difference in the food mainly at the Palms. I hope they rectify , just not much selection and the quality was not where it was in April. The rooms are dated but very clean so I am ok with that. I feel mostly paying for beach but this is rated at a 5 star so for me I expect the food to be there. I heard many repeaters say they will be trying elsewhere because it is pricey and has changed. Jewel Paradise Cove: Fun in the sun

Was a great little resort, the grounds were beautiful, well kept and very well laid out. The food was great (more than enough to eat). The beach front was a little deceiving from the photos but still very enjoyable. The room was ok , could use some up dating , the deep jet tub was hard to get in and out of for the older people. The water sports girl was simply the best and most hospitable person on the island Great times overAll

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Outstanding Resort. Beautiful ambiance and beach.

Location was excellent, just 30 to 40 minutes away from the airport. Beach was very clean. It was cleaned off weeds ever so often. The beach has a gradual slope and shallow so safe to swim. The nightly entertainment was amazing with plenty of variety. There was an extensive spread of buffet Italian, Mexican, Caribbean, Asian stir fries etc. They could do better for vegetarians/vegans and Indian Cuisine other than beans, lentils, couscous and quinoa. Shout out to Siesha Addo and Bianca at reception and Fernando who went over and above their call of duty to help us. Housekeeping could do better to deliver on requests. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Even though the Resort is huge, it was immaculate and well maintained.

Our flight was on time but was not impressed that it took us almost 3 hours to get to our hotel. The bus driver had us waiting close to 45 minutes for a couple who was outside the airport enjoying beers, etc. There was absolutely no need to stop midway for restroom breaks when all we wanted was to check in to our hotel. The noise factor every night with extremely loud music was too overbearing. No clocks in the room and the air conditioner was not working. Unable to use the Room safe  [... read more]the last day of our vacation due to low battery. Overall, wide selections of meals but it was disgusting on the high volume of flies in cafeteria. As a result, we were forced to have our breakfasts and lunches everyday at the Jasmine Restaurant, We had reservations at the Japanese restaurant on November 22, but we were turned away after waiting for close to 20 minutes. The reason being the hostess was rude and could not find our reservation. We were there to celebrate a family member’s birthday. The hostesses at the restaurants should be more courteous, friendly and pleasant to PAYING GUESTS!! The saving grace was the exceptional services received by outstanding employees such as Keith, Casey (bell boys) and Nicola who attended to our room bar. A big shout out to Tiffany, evening waitress at the Jasmine restaurant who went above and beyond the realm of her job scope to get a meal over to one of our relatives who was sick the day before our departure on November 24. Only Received bath gel the day before departure.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Resort is not what it used to be

We just got back from a 7 night stay and it wasn't the same as the last time we went. The staff seemed unhappy and not interested in being there. The buffet was always the same and the food was warm at best. Sometimes they even ran out of certain foods. The hot stations at the buffet sometimes took 25 mins to get through. Getting into a la cart was hard even though no one was in the restaurants. Tipping has almost become expected, even for poor service. The bathrooms on the beach always had issu [... read more]es ranging from dirty and not cleaned to no toilet paper to water issues. Staff was lacking but it seemed like they were trying to hire. Evening entertainment was okay but didn't start until really late at night. Rooms need a lot of work, I know they are working on blocks to renovate them. The mattress were awful and pillows were worst. The beach is clean and the water is clear. We spent the week on the nude beach which is small and quiet, which was perfect for us to read and relax but water shoes are needed (which we brought) as it's super rocky. Unfortunately our first time there was amazing and wanted to return, after this trip, I don't think we will be back

Hedonism II: Everything went wrong

I got to the Hotel after finding out my transfer to the hotel didn't exist. The Reception had no booking records for me, staff was helpful and found me a room (7th visit) rooms are clean, food is great, staff is friendly and followed up with me to ensure I had a proper transfer to the airport. (taxi cost $100 from airport $150 back to airport) Sadly booking Rep and contact numbers provided were not helpful

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Best Ever!

2nd Time there - Never disappointing. Great people, great food, great resort. Special shout out to Dorrett Black ! Amazing trip !!! Sure to please everyone! Gotta love Jamaica! Satisfaction guaranteed

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: Royal Decameron Montego Beach Still Rocks!

We came back from a week in Montego Bay on Nov 22nd. We had been to the RD Montego Beach approximately a decade ago and had loved it. Reading the reviews before booking about RDMB was a little surprising to see the more negative reviews. We love the place because it is smaller, and the food is very good. This is a 3 star resort and I think people sometimes expect 5 star amenities wherever they go. The buffet Passa Passa has a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, breads, cheese, cereal, etc. The buffet offers variations of preparations of these foods daily. The a la carte restaurant Souk is excellent, preparing Jamaican cuisine in new ways, including Asian fusion. As a bonus, RDMB’s sister resort, RD Cornwall Beach is right next door, and you can use all the amenities there, including their a la carte restaurant, Olivia, featuring seafood. The grounds were immaculate, which was very important to me since my mother is elderly and has problems seeing the ground when she’s walking. The staff was amazing; friendly, helpful and they really take care of people with mobility issues. So many times they would tell us to take our time, and made some amenities more easily accessible for her, without asking. Jamaicans vacation here as well, and we had so much fun. You know a place is good when the locals stay there! If you are looking for a 5 star sprawling resort, this is not the place for you. This place is for people looking for a gorgeous beach, great staff and a family feel. We shall be back!

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Great Holiday

Resort was very clean , attention to detail was amazing . Food selection was good a great selection at buffet and the al a crates where good. El Dorado was the best ( striplion steak )was amazing . We change rooms to get ocean view , an upgrade , and it was sure worth it. Had our own pool with huge patio could have stay in the room for the week and would have had amazing holiday . Found the beach bar to be the best bar . And you have to try the jerk bbq . Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Not impressed

I’ve been to this resort once before about 6 years ago and it was amazing. Unfortunately everything has changed…. The food was horrible , the service was horrible and prepare your self to get robbed on you excursions. Bahia principe I’ve been to multiple resorts I hope you guys pull it together again.

Everything was good just we needed more entertainments, that is why I give number 6 from 10. Resort’s Free shop was very expensive. Foods were amazing specially salad bar at noon. Beds were nit clean as I expected

Room was very clean but need to update. elevators don't have air circulation and are hot. food was very very good and delicious. staff are very friendly and very helpful. they are really responsible. entertainment was very good. Wi-fi was on and off, we had to login to wi-fi several times a day. overall it's very good resort and I recommend it.

Riu Palace Jamaica: Amazing resort

We had an amazing time there. If i want to point the best thing about this place I will tell the best staff ever. I’ve been in so many places but I found this place with professional, polite and respectful and very friendly staff in any position. I want to say thank you to all staff there. Room wasn’t 5 star , specifically washroom and shower. I was expecting more nice things from there.pools, beach , entertainment and food were so good.

Ocean Coral Spring: Don't go! Not as advertised.

Our family of 3 (parents and 1.5 year old toddler) booked this hotel with high expectations and at the recommendation of friends who visited 1.5 years ago. Unfortunately, this hotel has many issues they need to work through and seemingly has gone downhill in recent months. The resort is new (opened in 2019), but when you visit it looks like this hotel is 20 years old (apart from the lobby) and has lacked maintenance. It's shocking. Apart from the lazy river which is great, and some select [... read more] nice employees, a great massage therapist - the good ends there. Details below: 1) Service is lacking, no sense of urgency or customer service for an advertised 5* resort. This includes bar/restaurant service, room service, towel service, front desk service 2) Rooms are not maintained well. Lot's of issues with plumbing/shower leak/tiles, etc. 3) Elevators in the buildings are tiny and in disrepair! Not only are the elevators tiny and barely fit a stroller, but they only have 1 elevator for each section of the building. 4) We booked a room with a rooftop patio and hot-tub. Hot-tub does not work. Was told by a maintenance guy that all the rooftop hot-tubs broke within a short period of hotel being opened. Instead of fixing them properly, they bypassed and "jerry-rigged" the hot tubs so that you need to call maintenance if you want to use them. They come in and turn on a valve from under the tub and it fills up through the drain! Then hot water comes in as they ran the supply lines the drain and then you have to call them back a 2nd time to turn off the valve. The water then get's cold as it's just water sitting in a tub (not constant hot water coming through the jets). Finally when you are done with your cold hot tub, you need to call them back again to empty the tub. This is absolutely ridiculous to advertise that you have working hot-tubs with this being the standard operating procedure. Word to management, either fix the hot-tubs or remove them from the rooftop and reduce your pricing on the rooms! Falsely advertising working hot-tubs is not doing you any favours and more importantly it's ripping off your clients. Not to mention they are unsafe with how they are wired in a with a switch that is not grounded. 5) Lack of towels at the resort is an issue. Multiple times you go to get a towel only to be told they are out 6) Often out of beer at the bars or the beer is not cold. 7) Mini fridges in room are not cold and do not keep the beer or drinks cold. 8) Food at the restaurants is not great. The main buffet is good (Martha's Market) but beyond this, they have work to do. Service is slow, and often you cannot get a table unless you show up right when they open. 9) Choice of tile around the pool decks was a poor choice. A lot of them have broken and it's very slippery for children and older adults. I saw multiple children slip and 2 children inuure themselves slipping around the kids pool and waterpark 10) Beach is quite rocky (large jagged rocks that are in the ocean but you cannot see them until you step on them). Some nicer parts, but not great. Certainly much better beaches at other resorts are available

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Great Resort for families

We arrived after 8pm and our check-in was seamless. The staff at the check-in desk were friendly and fun. We had a standard room in villa 27 and we were central to everything. The grounds were well maintained as was the beach. The food was phenomenal, the shows were good but repetitive. However, I know the entertainment staff work so hard to put on a show each night. Main pool was great, lots of beach chairs at any point in the day. Beach wasn't large but beautiful and big enough to enjoy. There are two sections of the beach, one by the main pool and another hidden in a bay by the poseidon restaurant (sunset cove). A la carte options were plenty but beware, they encourage booking through the app but if you are booking for more than 1 room, book early through guest services. We booked one under our respective rooms with a note to seat us together, which was a group of 7 of us (app states to only go to guest services if more than 7 ppl). Upon arriving at the restaurant and explaining that we wanted to be seated together, they were cold and dismissive. We ended up sitting on different sides of the restaurant (even with an empty table beside ours that seated 4) but tried to make the best of it. Our dinner there was great but our service was terribly poor. The coffee bar and sports bar were definite highlights. The sports bar is a beautiful, hidden gem with great food options, pool tables, ping pong, lots of tvs and just nice in general. Overall, we had amazing weather, ate great food, met a lot of new people, swam, drank and had fun! Despite some small service issues, I would highly recommend this resort.

Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall: Hyatt Zilara Jamaica

We spent two weeks at this resort and it was amazing!! Check in took place right and the airport which saved us from waiting in lines at the hotel when we arrived at the hotel. We were surprised to be given a substantial upgrade from a swim up room to a one bedroom swim-up suite. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. We have been to Jamaica many times over the years, but have never experienced such incredible staff everywhere we went. All in all this resort was the overall best we have been to in Jamaica or any other Caribbean Island that we have stayed at. We would definitely go back there in a heartbeat!!💕

Riu Negril: Riu Negril

The hotel was alittle dated but clean and beautiful. The beach was lovely and kept very well groomed but not enough shady spots. The staff was friendly. The shops were very expensive but clean. We were suprised at how expensive everything was, pretty much all USD currency was most accepted. Food was very good and pools were well cared for and clean.
