Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Beautiful resort

We enjoyed our week (Jan 24-31) at this beautiful resort. Staff was so friendly & really went out of their way to look after everyone. The resort had hand sanitizer everywhere & the staff wore their masks consistently. Chairs around the pool & tables in the restaurants were well spaced. The food was amazing. Loved all the ala carte restaurants & the buffet was outstanding. The 3 pools & kids area were very well maintained & beautiful. Lots of palapas on the beach & umbrellas around the pool. We were first put in the 4 block of rooms, but the smell was terrible, so we were moved the next morning to the 3 block & the room was great. Large room & balcony. Very nice large bathroom with great amenities. All in all we would highly recommend this resort. Lots of walking & stairs so for people with mobility issues it might not be ideal. Covid testing was done in our room & we had the results the next day. Very convenient. Don't hesitate to go to this resort.....it's well worth a visit!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great experience

After reading the reviews we were sceptical, but after arriving every person was extremely friendly staff was great our service was great rooms clean properly cleaned every other day beach was nice well groomed ,food I love ,and was not disappointed the ala carts were excellent, The concierge and bartenders went over the top, had one of her best trips I’ve been to Mexico 4 times and this was one of the best experiences

Ocean El Faro: Definitely a 5 star resort

We brought our 4 year old daughter to the Ocean El Faro and she loved the water park and lazy river. It was great to see actual lifeguards making the rounds, especially around the water park. The staff was enforcing COVID protocols well (gloves for buffet, masks at the outside bar/inside buildings). Beach doesn't have anything to slow down the waves so we couldn't swim there but the sand is nice and there are ample chairs and Bali beds. We went with the Privilege room and we glad we did. The r [... read more]oom was kept very clean and more fresh towels than I would have requested. Minibar with beer, spirits, pineapple juice and nuts was restocked daily too. We left a note for more water and the guy kept us well hydrated for sure! The room service was great (flank steak delivered to the room you could easily cut with a butter knife and risotto that was excellent too!) but we really liked the Privilege restaurant. Ate there every day for breakfast, did lunch and dinner once as well and it was great. My daughter is picky so a couple of times we asked for something different (nothing crazy) and they always brought us what we asked for. All the food we had was really good and the restaurants for dinner were good experiences for sure. You book your reservation on your phone, which is pretty neat. Having reliable wifi throughout the resort was a welcome surprise too. Like they say they do and I was like "ok sure buddy" but yes, they did. The resort is "long" so the walk from the beach to the lobby takes a few minutes. They do have shuttles going around but people I spoke to just used their legs, as I did. We would happily come back again!

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Amazing resort

I was quite happy with the resort. The grounds were clean. The beach was beautiful. We had plenty of chairs and we had drinks served on the beach which was great.The rooms were very clean, staff was amazing. All the staff at that resort were amazing to us. Loved all the restaurants, so much food to choose from. Super covid safe. We will be going back to that resort where they treated us so good.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great value!

Resort surprised us as it was not receiving the best reviews yet maybe they were from unfair people? Rooms were nice, staff was great almost everywhere throughout. The property was quite walkable and the swimming pools (cooler than expected) were plentiful. Beach was a good size and the water temperature was amazing. Good swimming with very little coral. Food in buffet was ok, much better in the restaurants - Blue Moon and Steak House and Italian were our favourites. Ocean Riviera Paradise: Very Pleasantly Surprised!

I am very glad I didn't take much stock in all the negative reviews, because this resort was amazing! All the extra time and effort that was put into the extra safety measures definitely did not go unnoticed, and despite the fact they were extremely short staffed, everything was still very organized, the rooms were always clean, the drinks were refreshing, and all the staff were very pleasant to speak to! The rooms were also great, very clean, and much larger than a lot of other resorts I've stayed at. It was also very humid when we were there, but they had de-humidifiers in every room, so as long as you set it properly and remembered to empty it as needed (it only took 30 seconds out if our day), then the humidity wasn't an issue. Check in took a bit longer than usual, but like I said, they were very short staffed so that was completely understandable. Also, the resort app was very useful, as it was always up to date with which restaurants and bars were open or closed each day (again they were short staffed, so they rotated one restaurant to be closed each night, while all the others remained open). All in all, this vacation was definitely one of the best I've been on! You could see how much hard work everyone was putting in to make our week great, and it was definitely very appreciated!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Would not recommend.

Guest Services no longer exist; no one answers front desk or guest services. Check-in is excruciating with no regard to people having travelled many hours with children. Zero consistency among staff regarding restaurants, bowling, etc. The rooms are not well-maintained and could not get a/c past 24.5 degrees even with maintenance visit. No children-friendly foods (like chicken nuggets, fries). Buffet consistently out of primary foods. The buffet near the childrens pool (One of the reasons we boo [... read more]ked) was shut down with no warning and was never opened - incredibly inconvenient with young children. Mask wearing is inconsistent and impractical - sometimes need to wear at swim-up bars, sometimes not - you never know which it is. Restaurant times are incorrect. Ocean is rocky here - not good for snorkeling if you are looking to. Beach is also about 1km walk from daisy rooms and shuttles come very infrequently if at all. I have been to 9 different resorts in Mayan Riviera, and this was one of the worst. Some can be attributed to COVID19, but I have never seen morale/services be so poor.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Incredible Resort!

This resort is a paragon for all inclusive resorts. It perfectly balances fun, relaxation, and entertainment. I came here with my wife for our honeymoon for a week and it wasn't long enough! Will definitely be coming back.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Safe and awesome Resort!

This is one of the most beautiful resorts in Punta Cana. The grounds and landscaping are absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. Due to covid only 3 out of the six restaurants were open per night, however this resort has an excellent large buffet dining room open until 10:30. One night we were hungry and they let us in late past 10:30 with a big welcome and no rush to leave. He always made sure everyone was taken care of was always seen around all the restaurants making sure things ran smoothly. The Animation team was excellent too and always encouraging guests to get involved during the day as well as in the evening during showtime. Chocolate, Spaghetti, and Little Cooper as well as one Animation worker who always dresses in costume so friendly but I can't remember his name. The night he dressed as Spiderman was a big hit among the kids! The swim up bartender Manuel always took care of us too, sweet man. Alexander the singing Bartender was excellent too and always kept us entertained! The wait staff was awesome too. We were always greeted every morning at the buffet for breakfast by Pedro, and Christy, Argentina, and Moses and many other wonderful employees, One of the friendliest staffs we have met and we travel quite often. Punta Cana is one of our favourite destinations, gorgeous weather beautiful people. We decided to travel to this gorgeous resort because we had been there before. We knew we would feel safe with all their Covid protocols and we are so glad we chose Ocean Blue and Sand.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Great Vacation at El Beso

Had a great time at El Beso in November 2021. We were a group of 6 and all had different styles of rooms. We had a swim out, one couple had a regular room and the las couple had toilet issues and were upgraded to the roof top terrace. All the rooms are very similar in decor, just a big size difference with the roof top. The swim out we had was in building 17, sun all morning, it was perfect. The food was as expected, always something to eat. The only crappy part is that you cannot prebook your a [... read more] la carte restaurants. For Japanese you must get up at and be up there to book at 7am, all the others you have to wait in line at for 6pm. It’s a bit of a pain but we figured it out and ate at restaurants every night. The other option is to eat at the adults only restaurant at the beach. We did breakfast there everyday and they also had theme nights for dinner at 6:30pm or 8pm. It was great. A very nice feature is the lazy river. It is on the family side but a short walk from the adult pool. We brought our own tubes, good thing as they were very hard to find throughout the day. Overall the resort is well maintained and the staff are very friendly, we did not have any issues with service, we knew what we were getting into with Covid. Mikes Coffee was dynamite, a must visit place with lots of room to sit inside or outside. The airport leaving DR though was a gong show, make sure you also complete your departure declaration before you get in line, many people didn’t and they just shoved us to the back of the line. Finally made it through customs and made it on the plane 20 min prior to departure and did not get a chance to do some duty free shopping. I would definitely visit El Beso again.

Ocean Eden Bay: Great Vacation

Beautiful Resort, the grounds are clean, and well maintained. Our room in building 3, room 3303 was nice, great view, very clean! The beach was good, the water was so warm! There were some rocks, but could be easily avoided! And lastly, the staff at this resort are wonderful, the lobby bar was where we would end our day. we were well taken care of from Jason, and Tania! The pool bar was really great also, thanks to Sharlette.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Great Resort!

This is second time for one couple at this resort, and is still amazing. Other couple really enjoyed too. This time in adult side El Beso, really enjoy the quietness, less crowds here. There is still snacks bar, restaurant, buffet for breakfast, pools on this side. We still went to restaurants, pool, and favorite lazy river on Ocean El Faro side. The grounds are well kept, everything is still in great shape, gleaming floors in lobby. For covid there was plastic gloves for people to wear. All s [... read more]taff were wearing masks. People wore masks in restaurants until eating or drinking. Mostly masks not used outside. They had masks if forgot yours. The no reservations at restaurants is good, but found it hard a few times to get in, was line ups with wait times of 2 hours later. Didn't open all restaurant 2 closed a night. PCR testing at resort was good but wait times to pre- register for appointment were long. Cost $90 Us. Entertainment was outside in patio area in evenings instead of theater, because of covid was great, especially Micheal Jackson show. Something here at resort for everyone.

Ocean Blue and Sand: 10 Days of Sunshine

Nothing but sunshine from morning to night. Rooms were relatively basic, but nice. Had a pool view - garden view looks out over service road and jungle. Food was phenomenal. A row of a la cartes including; Steak House, Italian, American (Route 66), Mexican, French (romantic), Japanese, Sportsbar, Coffee Bar, and an excellent Buffet. The grounds and rooms were beautiful very clean . Food was delicious .All a la carted we’re yummy. They did a amazing job keeping cleanliness and looking after the guest .I definitely felt comfortable and would recommend this resort.

Ocean El Faro: Amazing Resort

We visited the resort from Nov 19 - 26th. The resort was one of the best ones we have stayed at. The food was good and always had plenty to eat. Rooms and grounds were kept clean. Staff was amazing. Swim up bars are closed due to Covid but the entertainers do a great job of keeping things fun. We will be back to vacation at this resort.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Loved it

Beautiful resort!! I loved everything about it, except the beach area it was a bit rocky , I stayed on the el beso side where ppl were partying at the pool, room very clean with everything u need including a mini bar, coffee machine etc.. great view … worth going for sure!!❤️

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Customer service was lacking

We went for mid November 2021. I was there last year and didn’t have too many problems. However we did notice last year that the customer service was not very good. This year it was downright ridiculous. I came down with seven people from Ontario Canada. One of the women we were with ended up getting her period in the middle of the night while she was sleeping. They tried to clean it up as best as they could but was unsuccessful. This couple couldn’t really afford this vacation and I had to  [... read more]help them out with it. So they didn’t bring much money with them. Just enough for their Covid test to come back to Canada. The hotel decided that they were going to charge us $80 USD. They claimed that it was because it was the same kind of stain as if you Peed or Pooped or threw up. These are things you do in the toilet. I told him that this is ridiculous because having a period is not something we can control and we do not sit on the toilet for seven days. I would consider this under the cost of doing business. I am extremely upset with the outcome. When we tried to fight it they told us they were going to call the police if we didn’t pay it. The couple who this happened to didn’t have the money and I had to cover it. We had a swim up room which was pretty fun. And I was going to plan my wedding there. I am no longer going to do that. Also that same couple had water leaking out of a light fixture and when they called to have someone come and fix it they had to wait over six hours. I again had to step in and demand somebody come. When they did, they made my friends switch rooms.

Ocean El Faro: Nice Resort - Horrible Beach.

The resort itself was nice. The staff was pleasant, and my room was nice with no complaints. Resort sales staff were very pushy, the same with the vendors on the resort. The food was decent, not amazing, not horrible. The PCR covid exit testing was a nightmare for those who did not bring a RT Lamp kit. There was a 2+ hour wait just to book your test, and then a 2+ hour wait to have the test preformed. Some had to go back they day they were leaving because they did not receive their t [... read more]est results. The beach is awful. There are rocky sections where you can't even enter the water. the water is very rough, and everyone said it's because it's hurricane season. No it's a naturally rough beach. There is a rock breakwater the resort added to calm the waves, but it stirs up the sand. The sand is dirty with plastic and other garbage left by beach goers. If you are going because of the beach don't go. If you are a pool person, it's very lovely.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Deceptive Resort, No Beach Whatsoever

Taxis extort you and they lie about there being no Uber! 40 USD for somewhere that costs 700 Dominican pesos! They will make you walk off the resort to get an Uber and send taxis to follow you and threaten you and your Uber. Bug bites everywhere- they don’t fumigate properly. Drink glasses the size of two ounces. My child’s sippy cup is triple the size of their glasses for drinks! Flies all over the buffet because they’re too cheap to turn on the AC. Air Canada rep wasn’t on site the ent [... read more]ire duration of my vacation so we weren’t able to talk to anyone about leaving to another resort and we’re trapped there. Only 1-2 Restaurants are open per night from 6-10 pm and if you even arrive by 7:00 pm they’re somehow full for the night! This happened several times so we couldn’t even eat at any restaurants. They don’t provide straws for drinks (unhygienic and gross). No water bottles- just filtered water in their glasses that smelled bad. There is no beach. Massive sandbags which look like dead whales on the beach everywhere in the ocean to protect the Beach from further damage. I understand that part is out of their control but it’s unacceptable and they didn’t disclose this before I spent my money with them. They need to tell people that the Beach is the ugliest thing you’ll ever set eyes on.
