Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Grand Lido
Hotel is dated which means the restaurants are dated and cruise ship like. All are inside with no dining outside except one very basic restaurant with local food that is in the garden. Rooms nice! Beach excellent! Totally being renovated this year though.. Will be a 5 star then.
Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Super Fabulous Place!
This hotel was just fabulous! I would go again in a heartbeat! It's not big, so you get personal attention, and quick access to every area. No line ups for anything. Some of the decor is dated, but still lovely and very clean and comfortable. The food was really delicious, with a wide variety. The drinks were just great too! They even had Clamato juice for Bloody Ceasars! How great! The piano bar after dinner was entertaining. The disco was fun! The beach was wonderful and beautiful...white sand, [... read more]
Hotel Los Cactus: Older but friendly!
The Veradero Breezes certainly has impressive grounds,a great beach area, and unique architecture and infrastructure ! The friendly staff exudes genuine care for the guests. However, competence is a bit limited in the details. This hotel probably offered a four star experience some time ago, but is now slipping somewhat, with old and broken chairs abandoned on the beach, apparently unrepairable TV remotes, tiny, flickering TV screens, rusting shower heads, portruding mattrass springs etc. Neverthe [... read more]
Hotel Bella Costa: Very Safe, Friendly Resort
This was our third trip to Cuba, and our first time in Veradaro. The resort is showing its age, but the staff are warm and friendly and they do their best to keep it clean. The beach was very good, with lots of lounges and plenty of shade to be out of the sun if you choose to be. The food was very good with lots of choices; their bread and cheese selections were excellent. You could make a salad from many choices of vegetables and fruit. We avoided most of the meat selections... just personal ch [... read more]
Memories Jibacoa: Cuba bike trip
Great hotel as a base for a one week cycling trip. Good smooth roads for cycling with friendly Cuban bike guides available. Beautiful beach and large pool for lounging and swimming. Relaxing resort atmosphere.
Sunscape Curacao Resort: Great resort on a wonderful island paradise!
Curacao is a fantastic island with lots to do and see. The location of the resort made it easy to explore as it is close to the picturesque town of Willemstad and there is a free shuttle twice per day each way. The resort itself is being upgraded and the Royal Tower is the most modern but we stayed in an older section that was rather dated but was clean with a nice view. There are lots of activities on the resort with a calm lagoon separated from rougher seas by a long reef that has amazing snor [... read more]
Hotel Bella Costa: Not horrible but not great
This was my first time staying in Cuba and not what I thought a 4 star resort would be like. It was about what I expected a 3 star to be. The resort needs renovating/updating. The food was ok, pretty much how everyone described it, not great but you won't starve. The beach was amazing though! No vendors either! Most of the staff were friendly. The drinks were fantastic!
Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Great resort!
Great staff, beautiful location, good snorkeling right off the resort, entertainment staff was good and not too invasive (which was really nice), spa massage in the hut over the water was truly amazing. Loved that they had clamato juice to make caesars...if only they had mint to make mohitos. Would definitely go back.
Hotel Bella Costa: Great resort for young families
We stayed in a suite the Villa area and they were perfect for us (we have three children under the age of 5). These are the buildings on the other side of the pool area from the main building, so generally quieter. We were in the Tropical Ocean View Suite which had plenty of room and 1.5 bathrooms, in addition to a living room and large bedroom, and a fantastic view! The location was ideal (just a short walk to the beach). Don't expect all the bells and whistles of a 4-star accommodation in Cana [... read more]
Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Not suitable unless you have kids.
Amazing beach. Rooms average and dated. Sliding glass door in room 1138 needed both hands and a ton of force to open it 12 inches. Swim up bar is in the kiddies pool which makes no sense. Had 2 rooms. First room kids above us awoke us each morning at 6am running around. Changed rooms. That room had an infant next door and had us up at 5am crying each morning. Gave up after that.
Hotel Los Cactus: very good resort
resort is very good.food ala cart very good.service good.very friedly.well spoken .good englich.rooms very nice and clean.property well mantaint.service staff very friedly and helpvoll.servic on bars very good.
Breezes Bahamas: amazing resort
the hotel is a little outdated but charming the food was fabulous staff went out of there to make sure we were having a good time beach is beautiful pool is freezing though would be nice if heated amazing I would go back now
Memories Jibacoa: A little bit of everything!
This was a wonderful resort to stay at! We liked that it was smaller; made it feel more homey. Not very far from Havana, so you could easily take a cab there for the day. The beach was wonderful if you enjoy snorkeling! Lots of fish and beautiful coral. (but careful of stinging jelly fish) You can also hike up to the top of the big hill and get an amazing view of the resort as well as the surrounding area. We brought our bikes and did some biking which was really fun. The rooms were clean and fu [... read more]
Hotel Los Cactus: Over Rated Hotel
The hotel was dated, falling apart. Plates and cutlery in dining room never really clean. Some staff members rude and uncaring. Food was same every day in buffet, never changing it up. This hotel at best is a 3 star maybe even a 2-1/2 star.
Hotel Bella Costa: breeze bella costa
we were there for two weeks..... secound time at this resort.... very clean.....peoples amazing.... food excellent you will not starve..... beach excellent..... over all plane on tyme dept. and arrival earlly... wow!!!!!
Hotel Los Cactus: Disappointing
Upon arrival, room key didn't work. 3 hours later, finally got in room. Staff surly unless they get tipped. Food mediocre at best. However, layout of resort is great. If you have mobility issues, don't go. Many steps.
Hotel Bella Costa: amazing staff and good food.
We stayed as 6 adults and 5 kids. All food was great. Especially the fresh orange juice, omlette stand, toaster for breakfast. Pasta and grill stand for the dinner. We did not even try the ala carte aa we were very happy with the buffet. Ocean was great as usual. Just a little bit chilly as it was december. The staff was amazing and friendly. Loved the resort. Thank you...
Hotel Bella Costa: overall satisfying top notch beach
Highlights- beach, friendly staff, baby/family friendly, clean, interactive nightly entertainment including opening acts geared for children, variety of foods, close to downtown Varadero, great snorkeling out from resort beach, fabulous cappucinos/expressos in the lobby bar ;) Lowlights- sketchy electrical-2 lights would flicker when turned off had to unplug lights which the resort did, elevators were slow and not all (3) working at the same time-travelled with a baby stroller.
Memories Jibacoa: Lovely resort
This was our third time at this resort. We find the staff to be very friendly and helpful and the grounds and rooms are exceptionally well kept . We especially like the fact that it is a fairly small, adult only resort.
Hotel Bella Costa: Really good food- overall a great experience
The room was just fine- water pressure was good- very clean. We stayed in room 504 with a balcony and Oceanview. The only trying things about the hotel were the elevator waits and lineups for the featured dishes being cooked fresh at the buffet. Staff were good if tipped and the grounds were very clean and the beach is first class. If you are looking for something close to downtown, I would recommend a different resort. Cabs are 10-15 cuc and can get pricey as the walk to bus stop is at least 15 [... read more]
