Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Amazing resort

Everything was as expected or exceeding our expectations. Hotel clean, wide room, Hot water and a lot of pressure in the shower, nice beach, a lot of activities and animations, exceptionnal gym, great food variety and quality, hotel crew members very nice.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Amazing Resort with Amazing Staff

We absolutely loved our stay at the Melia! The resort atmosphere, the staff — everything was just fantastic. Not one complaint from start to finish. The food was great, the entertainment was fun, and the weather couldn’t have been better. We went as a family and stayed in the Adults Only section — totally worth it. This trip truly set the bar for all our future vacations. Can’t wait to go back! Rating: ????? (5/5)

Dreams Cap Cana Resort and Spa: Fantastic resort

We booked preferred service at hotel, we had a private car service from airport to hotel we were dropped off at the preferred lobby, it was a nice touch. After check-in our butler showed us to our room. The food and drinks were good, it was nice not needing to make reservations for dinner. We had a food allergy and the majority of time this was adhered to, except one meal we were served this food. They didn't seem to take the situation seriously which was disheartening. The towel service was gr [... read more]eat, you were not restricted to only 1 towel, didn't have to ensure you have a towel to return at end of stay or be charged. There are lots of pools to choose from which includes multiple swim up bars. The beach is disappointing, there is a rock shelf on this resorts beach front which makes it very difficult to swim, we were at this resort for a week and barely saw anyone in the water. It would have been nice to have beach access to the other sister hotels up the beach as you can swim in these areas. The washroom is too far from beach. The ladies at the cafe were friendly and attentive, by mid-week they new our order, great service by Oscari & Rosemary.

Viva Miches by Wyndham: Beautiful Resort

Very nice staff. There is a language barrier for those who do not speak Spanish. Speaking to servers at restaurants was something hard as an English speaker, but customer service representatives understood and spoke English. There is a family of cats including Kittens and they are very friendly and playful. Only thing is that the hotel room mini fridge only had 2 diet cokes and 2 tonic waters in the fridge and it is not restocked during the stay. Overall I would visit again.

Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort and Spa: Beautiful Resort but Needs Improvement

The resort is new, and it’s understandable that things are still being worked out, but there are definitely areas that need improvement. Dinners took nearly two hours from start to finish, and some guests had to wait hours just to get into a restaurant. While the staff are generally friendly and trying their best, it’s clear that many of them still lack proper training. Mos [... read more]t of the staff didn’t seem too concerned, except for Mildred, the pool bartender, who was excellent and genuinely cared. The onsite doctor was also great and helped clean the wound, but over the next few days, we continued to notice glass around the pool area with no one cleaning it up. Our room also flooded on the second day due to a shower drain problem that maintenance had supposedly fixed. To their credit, the staff and concierge were quick and helpful in moving us to a new room. Despite the issues, the resort itself is beautiful, and you can tell they’re working hard to improve. The beach is amazing—a bit wavy, which I actually enjoyed, and if you prefer calmer water, you can just walk a few meters down the beach. Overall, it’s a gorgeous property with potential, but the service, maintenance, and safety standards need attention before it truly lives up to the Secrets brand.

Secrets Royal Beach: Our new favorite!

We have been to Punta Cana many times and Secrets Royal Beach is now our favorite! The service is outstanding along with the pools, Beach and food. We did not stay in the preferred section and definitely didn't feel like we were missing out. We were spoiled by the staff and enjoyed having access to the neighboring Dreams Resort. This resort has set the standards high!

Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Fabulous Resort!

The hotel and grounds were very clean. Food was great and overall wonderful experience! I would definitely go back! We went to celebrate our birthdays and we had a very relaxing trip. I recommend the following activities: painting on the beach, bracelet making, aqua fitness The drinks were great and the coffee at coco cafe was really good. Go see bartender Richard at the beach bar!!! He knows how to make good Margueritas!

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Outstanding Resort

Just returned from an excellent sister vacation. The resort foliage is outstanding so beautiful and very well kept. The staff are amazing from all bars, restaurants and entertainment. All are very friendly, always smiling and will go out of their way to ensure you are having the best time. Rooms were always cleaned daily with no issues. Food was outstanding, not one complaint. Everyone made our vacation so awesome and we will be returning next year. Only complaint is the patio doors d [... read more]o not have handles outside to open the door and are very heavy to slide across to get back in the room.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Not a five star

The rooms were very dated and the customer service was not the greatest. I had to go back multiple times to have my room switched to one that was ground level and even though we had booked double beds, we did not get double beds and each time we went back, it was all you have to come back to confirm. Oh, you’ve come back to confirm it seems like there was some kind of language barrier or they just didn’t wanna give us a room on the ground level we had to ask for housekeeping multiple times, but  [... read more]once we started leaving a few dollars tip, then everybody was showing interest in servicing us so really it’s I would say The the bars in the restaurant were OK. I honestly would say that the food at the buffet was better at the à la cart. The à la cart had extremely poor service. Nobody comes to check to say hey is everything OK? One day I had a choking episode and even at that they were not very attentive just different things like that. The fun part was the pool too bad that that there is no evening or night swim that would’ve made it better. The beds were very comfortable and once we had a tipped the housekeeper and the person that fills the bar fridge thing stuck to get a little bit better overall not bad would’ve appreciated a little better customer service and maybe a less outdated room.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: WHAT A GREAT SEESTER TRIP

What a great place this is. So pretty and very well laid out, We loved it. The pools, gardens, auditorium for relaxing, the entertainment. All was great. Many people made our trip wonderful. To name a few Juan in the Preferred Pool Bar. So attentive and made excellent special mixed drinks| In the Sea Side Grill where we dined for breakfast, lunch and dinner at least 6 times. The service was always fast, efficient and the food excellent. We so enjoyed that lovely auditorium with the cool breezy hallways and plants and views. There was a new girl that started and was doing an excellent job. Yudeter in the evening to serve our drinks.As well as Baby Face and Johnathon provided a great time! WE know we missed a few names but ALL SERVICES we outstanding, Thankyou all. Returning again in March 26 with our family.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Must Visit

Upon arrival I was excited to begin my vacation with my group of friends. The resort is beautiful, huge, and well maintained. The package we got Included a tour in the town to the market, special dining experiences in two restaurants for two nights during the stay. There was lots of entertainment happening throughout the day and in different areas of the resort. I absolutely enjoyed the pool/foam parties and dance parties at night. I love the fact that the buffet had local foods or dishes that I recognized. I love Dominican culture. I would love to come back with my kids so they could see first hand a piece of their culture.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Amazing resort but a lot of walking

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel was very clean and the grounds were kept very clean. Staff were nice and friendly. We were in building 11 with a swim out so we didn’t get much sun until 2 in the afternoon. Beach is absolutely gorgeous and the pool and beach chairs are one of the best I’ve ever had at any resort. We did all the la carts except for ocean because we’re not big seafood eaters and they were all excellent, food at the buffet was great too.

Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana: Great vacation!

The kids loved this place! The food was good! Resort wasn’t too busy. One downside is that if you want to have breakfast with the characters there was a charge and also if you wanted to get slimed. Kids shows were pretty lame to be honest. Some days we didn’t have a show they just played Dora in the theatre. Adult show was at 8:45pm. Overall the kids had an amazing time here.

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Couldn’t wait to get home.

The hotel is very beautiful. Having said that, there were a number of significant issues that put a major damper on our trip. We had 8 people travelling with three room. Two of us got sick with breathing issues, one had to be hospitalized for over half the trip. We believe this was either due to the very strong chemical smell from the pool and cleaning, or the musty smell from the room (we found mold in one of the rooms). I also got electrocuted from an exposed wire in my room. The mus [... read more]ic was way too loud anywhere near the main pools or dining area, and was pretty much constant. It was overwhelming and difficult to have conversations. There were other things that were beyond the control of the hotel so I won’t outline them here, but I was not impressed.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: amazing resort

no complaints, beautifully maintained resort. entertainment continued even with the rainy weather. Resort certainly doesnt want to dissapoint their guests. Diamond club is well worth it. Nicest resort Ive ever been to so far.

Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana: Amazing resort

Excellent resort, clean, hygienic, washroom were clean, respectful staff, pools were clean and water temperature was comfortable, beach was clean, fresh breeze, greenery around the resort, excellent activities every night, enjoyed the water park

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Friendly staff, beautiful grounds

I liked this hotel, the staff were friendly activities were decent. Cons would be that there really can be a huge language barrier since some staff either barely speaks English or don’t understand it at all. Despite that they were all great spirits and mostly smiled. Some will try to help before you ask for help. Booked the basic room and they upgraded us which was amazing. I had a really bad runny stomach and diarrhea on day 2 which lasted most of the evening onto the next day, but was good by  [... read more]night of day 3. Could have been a bit of food poisoning but I’m not very sure.

Riu Republica: Couldn’t be better!!

Travel agent Brenda was amazing, all communications were on time and clear, flights were on time, Riu Republic was a great resort. Cleanliness, room service, staff, parties, entertainment, food and most importantly beaches, everything was top notch and we had a time of our lives. Will definitely go there again. We were there in late October and early November 2025.

I have spent a week al El Beso Adults Only resort and everything was exceptional and more. Many thanks to Carlos, bartender at El Beso reception bar area and to Andreea our room cleaning lady. Everything was unexpectedly beautiful and clean at all the times. Thank you again. Peter and Alla

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: I wanted to like it....

I really did want to like this resort - and to a degree, I did. Grounds were beautiful, staff were amazing (a special shout out to Melbin at the Italian a la carte and Juan Carlos of the El Beso pool bar - you guys were beyond amazing!!!). Food was okay - the a la cartes definitely made it worthwhile. Drinks were plentiful and they do not skimp on the alcohol. This resort is BIG. Yes, it's 911 rooms, but we didn't realize just how big it was. It was a lot of walking to get to restaurants from  [... read more]the adults only side (they do have a trolley system, we just didn't bother using it). A few times, people from the family side did sneak over to the adults only side, but they were usually caught pretty quick. We paid to upgrade to Privilege upon our arrival and didn't really find it worth it. Maybe we just didn't take full advantage of everything, and that's on us. Our mini bar in our room was supposed to be stocked daily - it was only stocked once. By the end of our 7 day trip, we had 1 bottle of water left. Crowd seemed to be a bit more on the younger side then we are used to at resorts (I'd say late 20's to early 30's). Biggest complaint was the music at the adults only pool - it was LOUD. There's only so much bass thumping, house party music one can take in a week. We lucked out with our room literally being steps from the pool - but when we are in our room, with the sliding glass door closed and my husband had his sleeping ear plugs in and you can still hear the music...that's loud. People in the pool would ask a few times for it to be turned down so you didn't have to yell at the person 2 feet away from you to hear them and yes, the staff would turn it down a bit....but then a new staff member would come along and crank it back up again. Even if the pool was empty. It seemed like they were playing the music more for them then the guests. The resort seemed to be experiencing a lot of shortages - no berries whatsoever at the adult's only side snack bar, we asked for BBQ chicken at the one lounge to be told they were out, same with the pulled pork burgers at the privilege lounge. Food at the buffet was plentiful, but just okay. Beware of the time share pitch!!! When we checked in, a very nice gentlemen in a white shirt (learn to beware the white shirts!) took our number for communication via WhatsApp and asked us to join him for a 'special breakfast' the next morning where we could obtain our "welcome gift". We ended up bailing on the breakfast (we heard from other guest that the "welcome gift" is breakfast at the main buffet....). The white shirt guy ended up messaging us to re-schedule and called our room...4 times. Multiple times a day. I'm talking 2-3 times in the morning, and it would ring upwards of 7-8 times. Overall, it is a nice resort - just not really our style. Would we go back? Not likely - and not because it wasn't a nice resort - just not our style really.
