El Cozumeleno Beach: 11/05 TO 11/12/2014 - COZUMEL VACATION

WE STAYED AT EL COZUMELENO IN COZUMEL EARLIER THIS YEAR (FEBRUARY) AND THE SELECTION OF FOOD WAS MUCH BETTER IN FEBRUARY THAN IT WAS NOW - EXAMPLE - ONE MORNING FOR BREAKFAST WE COULDN'T GET SAUSAGE OR BACON AND AT LUNCH THERE WERE NO TOMATOES, CUCUMBERS FOR THE GREEK SALAD. EACH DAY WAS TOO MUCH OF THE SAME FOOD FROM THE DAY BEFORE. NOT ENOUGH VARIETY.

Allegro Cozumel: Awesome trip

Had a great time at the Occidental Grand. Rooms were clean, always a beach chair to sit on, food was good, but have to say staff make this resort great! Can't wait to return to this resort with my family.

El Cozumeleno Beach: Staff are fantastic

Arrived Nov 5 check in very smooth room was spacious and amazing views. Shower was hot but not great flow. Buffet had limited selection for dinner but the reservation restaurant was excellent. We could order from menu for breakfast and lunch. Pool was cold and beach is rocky but once in snorkellinh wa great seeing many fish

Occidental Cozumel: Good for 5 days

We had gone for a relaxing vacation and that is what we got. Rooms were needing an updated look. Food was ok. The service with staff was excellent. Beach was excellent . I've been to resorts that had better quality food. I was happy with the staff. They were professional , funny , always accommodating your needs. I would add wi-fi to be open for everyone. We had to buy a package and use a computer which was slow and broken. I did not like that. Having children and family you want to connect to l [... read more]et them know all is well and that you arrived safely. I liked the ego forest feel in the resort. I was under an impression that we were going to get a way better room and then when we got what we did I was disappointed. Would I go back, possibly if we got better quality upgrades. Our room faced the forest instead of the ocean . Wasn't happy with about that one. I would have freshly made popcorn at the nightly movie night around the pool. The timeshare pressure was alittle much for my liking.

Allegro Cozumel: What a nightmare

Where should I start? The hotel burned 2 days after our arrival and we ended up in another hotel. Actually this was the only good news of my stay. We were there in August and usually the hotel close in September and October. Therefore there was no life(activities during the day) on site, choice of food was very limited....Regrets: the kids pool. I choose that hotel for my kids and because of the fire the only fun thing was gone. I have to admit the Allegro customer service, Trip Central were ver [... read more]y helpful through this emotional situation (especially for the kids). I hope though this fire will be a good opportunity for the Allegro to upgrade their service (maintenance of the pools, rooms, food...). One last thing....I will never use again Vacation Air Canada to book my trips:. Complete lack of service on site and useless.

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: Good value

Stayed March 2014. Smaller resort, Service was good, room ok, housekeeping good, food ok, activities minimal, bartenders at pool bar slow if not tipping. In all very happy for price paid.Took jeep tour, was worthwhile.

Zel Cozumel: Very comfortable and relaxing resort.

Very clean, well maintained, friendly staff. A generally small resort that does a great job of entertainment and amenities to compete with the larger resorts. Service is generally self serve, but getting out of my chair to get a drink is preferable to me. The best beach in the entire area, long, clean, with great swimming. I returned for a second year in a row.

Occidental Cozumel: Beautiful resort

Had a great time. Beautiful resort and wildlife. Food delicious and staff very friendly, only things that can be improved but not a big problem was the line at the pool bar. And the time it takes to get your room cleaned.

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Wonderful

I loved this hotel due to its size. Service was great and staff was very polite and accommodating. Our room was more then I could ask for. The maid kept it spotless and our roof top lounge area for us only was the cake topper. My husband and I will definitely make this place our first resort to choose from when we want a place to rest and a scuba vacation.

El Cozumeleno Beach: Lovely Resort

My husband and I traveled to the El Cozumeleno the first week of March. The resort is close to the airport check in was very fast. Our room was on the 4th floor of the older section it was wonderful. Very large rooms, although the first couple of days the air conditioner was loud. The ocean view from our room was stunning.We preferred the older section as it was quieter with what we felt was the nicer beach. The food at this resort was hit and miss. Breakfast was always good, lunch was alright.  [... read more]If you wanted a good meal eating in the a la carte is the best choice. You can make reservations easily each morning. One of the main reasons we choose this hotel was how close it is to town. Having dinner in San Migual was great. The snorkeling right in front of the hotel was fun lots to see if you walked to the left on the hotel for 10 minutes you can let the currant push you slowly back and enjoy the sights. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. We would definitely return.

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Fantastic Vacation

The restaurants are amazing. I like that you do not need to make reservations and you can just go. The only draw back is you have to go and stand in line if you want the usual 7:00 seating. If you don't mind going later, there's no problem. The food is fantastic, plentiful, and the service is great. Our room was Awesome. HUGE, modern, heated floors, right by the VIP pool, and cleaned by very accommodating and cheerful cleaning staff. The beach is in its natural state which I appreciate. Snorkell [... read more]ing right off the beach to the peer is amazing... who needs to pay for it. However, if you do want to taking a snorkelling trip, the reefs in Cozumel are the best I've seen... especially scuba diving. I would definitely go back. The staff could not do enough for us and always had a smile on their face. I have nothing bad to say about this place... absolutely nothing! Oh yes, don't forget the spa... it was part a Valentine's gift and the staff made sure we had a very romantic Valentine's evening.

Zel Cozumel: SO VERY PLEASED!

What a beautiful location. This hotel came highly recommended by our financial planner and she was 'right on the money'. Clean, open to the ocean, WHITE, soft sand. Fabulous view from our quiet 11th story suite. Food was not outstanding - but it met our needs. One of the biggest 'sell' points for us was the 10 minute proximity to the International Airport - none of that frustrating 2-3 hour 'stop at every hotel' ride. We stayed at the adult side of the resort - good choice for us.

El Cozumeleno Beach: Hot resort

We were at Cozumeleno Cristmas 2013 . Perfect place for snorkeling. You can feed fish at 10 metres from beach. It is ideal view from room to observe ocean cruises, delisious meal, hot jakuzzi at evening under stars and of corse tequila. All rooms are ocean view. It is very smart. Polite stuff. We plan to go next year.

Allegro Cozumel: Very Cozy Hotel

My recent trip was my first experience at an all inclusive resort. It was on the smaller side. I was a little disappointed in the food, was hoping for some more authentic food. It was well taken care of and groomed. The first night we were there there was no power on the whole south side of the island and they handled everything very well. I was impressed. There is a place to book tours just outside the lobby and they offer all these free things as long as you go for lunch and visit their sister [... read more] hotel. what they fail to mention is that is a timeshare viewing. this was very disappointing as we did not want to spend half a day at a place that wasn't our own being bugged to buy a timeshare. when we declined we found them to be quite rude. Who goes on vacation prepared to sign a contract for thousands of dollars. All in all it was a very small resort and the food wasn't amazing but most of the staff was friendly. Breakfast was by far the best meal of the day. I don't think I would travel back to this hotel but not because I didn't enjoy myself, just because I would like to try something different.

El Cozumeleno Beach: excellent vacation

There is little I can say about that isn't stellar. The service was great, never had such service at a hotel of this value. The grounds were very clean, the rooms were large and comfortable and the food was delicious and plentiful. My only concern was that the pools were just a bit too cool for me, thank goodness for the hot tub, even in the rain the servers kept the refreshments coming. Thanks!.

El Cozumeleno Beach: Fabulous Resort

The hotel is clean and welcoming. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent beach and great snorkelling. Good food and entertainment. Very family oriented but also excellent for the younger crowd as there are two pools on either side of the resort, the family pool and the party pool! We have stayed here 5 times now and have taken friends and family here and we cannot wait to go back.

Allegro Cozumel: Wow beautiful resort!

The grounds were very well kept and clean! The pools were inviitng and very clean. Personel polite and ready to please. We were four couples traveling together and we had such a great time, games, fun and laughter!

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Great Value!

A relaxing vacation. Food was excellent and service was adequate. Food and beverage service on the beach was a nice added touch. Sand was mostly broken shells, but that should be expected on a coral reef. Snorkeling was great right off the beach, and the scuba diving was serene. Overall a wonderful resort and will definitely return.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Average

Beautiful grounds, very well maintained. No grill on the beach, nor at the buffet. Friendly staff. Water gets very murky on windy or stormy days. Snorkelling area is very limited due to boat traffic at the pier.

Allegro Cozumel: positive reaction to what i met there-

positive attitude to vacationers,v friendly staff, good food comparing to different resorts. Yet-too loud and that is what generally must change-NO quite place on beach,simply cannot relax due to "music" greatly disturbing . Quiet time must be provided for those who want to rest. Not enough protective sun umbrellas so in the morning vacationers "fight" for shadow ( absolutely that must correct), one pay for basic service and that must be provided.Cannot imagine to be in top hot months there and  [... read more]not have chance to comfortably seat under umbrella.Those simple improvements don`t required big investments,just proper thinking. Time is changing and more and more people are looking for places to relax and rest instead of loud party all time.Those "party" are great disturbance and many peoples i had chance to talk complain about "NOISE".Compromise must be found and that requires true rethinking about knew era witch is already here with attitude and expectations of vacationers from all resorts no matter where are they situated.. As per Occidental Allegro my complains were met with positive attitude from management and that is greatly appreciated. As cleanness ,room maintenance i can only send true positive opinion. So be more quiet, put more sun protective umbrellas and i will be there as soon as i can.
