Krystal Puerto Vallarta: good hotel

Food and most of services were good, beaches bars and pools are okay . Breakfast , Lunch and Dinner had many options and specially all service staff was excellent. Locations is very convenient and near to all needs.

Delfin Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta: Perfect Location!

If your looking for a trip to see what "Authentic Mexico" is all about this is a great spot to stay! I went from Dec 8-15/22 and they have doing some great renovations that will make this hotel even better. The "tower" (8 floors) ocean view rooms are certainly the best ones their and well worth the money! Top notch restaurants, Cafes and Night Clubs all within a short walk.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Good hotel

An older hotel but well maintained. rooms are comfortable and pools are great for the whole family particularly children. The tennis courts have an uneven surface but playable. The food in the a la carte restaurants is good but the buffets is at best average. If the food was up graded it would be a great resort.

Paradise Village Puerto Vallarta: Amazing Resort

This resort was amazing! Check in was a breeze. Great food, drinks and service all around. The activities staff goes all out to keep everyone entertained and busy at one of the pools but if you prefer a little quiet time or like to read head over to the other pool that is quieter and more relaxing. The beach is nice and big and great for long walks. There were always loungers and palapas available any time of the day at the beach. The new Copan Sky Bar is a lovely addition to this resort. There  [... read more]is a beautiful view of both the ocean and marina from this rooftop bar. It is also close to a mall with many amenities to make your trip easier if there is anything you have forgotten or just need a break from the hot weather. We will be heading back to this resort in 2023!!

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Great Mexican resort

We had a great time at this resort. Antonio helped us with a small room issue right away and this made a huge difference. Alberto and Alfredo provided extra attention and wonderful smiles. There is plenty of space to lounge unless it's Sunday which opens to locals. It was nice to see the families enjoying themselves but it would be a good idea to add extra cleaning staff for the washrooms near the beach on Sundays. The Mexican food was delicious but the meat at the Italian restaurant was sub par [... read more]. The Christmas decorations and evening lighting along with covered walkways were a nice touch. A great location and easy to walk to the Marina. Fun trip!

Decameron La Marina: Enjoyable

The Decameron hotels have expanded to three properties in Rincon. Nice that you can use all three as you wander about that long beach. Very Mexican, and not your typical westernized all inclusive, which is either good or not, depending on your perspective. This trip marks our tenth visit to the Decameron in Rincon. The people in general and the staff at the hotel are incredibly friendly and helpful keep going back.

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Budget Hotel

It was good value for the money but lots of issues like horse feces on the beach no hot water in shower, no adult entertainment, caters to children but beach was nice, adult pool was fun, grill and Asian restaurant were good

The grounds on this resort are beautiful. This resort is definitely for families . There is no entertainment at night for adults. Our room looked out on to the ocean and what a view! Food in the restaurants were pretty good. Seem like the resort was short staffed . Sometimes Horses on the beach left feces. Good for what we paid

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Definitely not anywhere near a 4 star resort.

The Hotel staff are friendly, hotel is 45mins to an hour away from Airport roads are bumpy / very bad , hotel very rundown and weathered showing its age, broken steps exposed rebar ,in buildings very poor lighting in hotel hallways and rooms, furniture is chipped and weathered no dressers in room only open shelves menu is mostly Mexican, for fish lovers great, they are very agressive on pushing Travel Plus program( Time Shares) Beach is small very rocky swim shoes required, no night adult enter [... read more]tainment, what is offered as entertainment is rather a joke hotel very geared towards kinds. Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Oceanview room was fantastic!!

It was great resort due to everything was within walking distance including all a-la-cartes dining facilities. Arrived around 1 PM and was greeted with a margarita but was informed our room wasn't ready and we could check our luggage and enjoy the facilities until our room would be ready around 3 PM. The resort and vegetation was well maintained along with our room was cleaned daily. Beer allotments were hit and miss but one call to front desk and beer would be sent to our room pronto. The pool was always crystal clear and clean with many palapas to select from along with perfect weather!! As for the beach, it wasn't unusual for a red flag flying daily but the beach was excellent for walking in either direction for kms. Overall our stay was enjoyable and would return again.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Great Vacation!

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful! Could use an adult pool. A very family friendly resort so definitely could use a 2nd pool! Need a couple of better a la carte restaurants.

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Awesome

Had a fabulous week at the Krystal Altitude Hacienda. We had a double room in the Hacienda, clean, comfortable bed, huge shower, excellent housekeeping service. The pool was beautifully clean and well maintained. Had family members who stayed on the family side. That side of the resort is under renovation and was not yet to the point of the Hacienda side. Service was excellent Food… this is an area for improvement. The buffet was generally very good. The al a cart restaurants all needed help with their menu. Presentation was beautiful but not successfully prepared. Santos at the lobby and the recreation guy were exceptional.

Riu Flamingos: RIU JALISCO PTV MEXICO

THE HOTEL WAS NICE AS FAR AS HOTELS GO ,,, HOWEVER THEY HAVE ALOT OF THEIVES COMING IN UNDER THE RUES OF TOURISTS AND THEY SIT AROUND THE POOLS LOOKING FOR EASY TARGETS , DONT DRINK WITH THE LOCALS DONT LEAVE UR DRINKS OR CHILDREN UNATTENDED AND NEVER FLASH CASH ,, WE WATCHED 2 CANADIAN GUYS OVER INDULGING AT THE POOL BAR AND I RECOGNISED THE SCOPERS WATCHING THEM , I WARNED THEM I BELEIVED THEY WERE BEING SET UP , AND THEY SAID OH WERE BIG BOYS WERE OK ,LOLOL SURE THEY WERE ! Decameron La Marina: Fun vacation

This hotel is smaller but has all the amenities we needed . Kayaks , paddle boards , not a lot of events at the pool but we were ok with that . Rooms were clean , showers hot , public areas clean! Food that should be cold was kept on ice! Not a ton of variety but lots of it , fresh salads and fruit. One downfall was one front desk employee did not speak ANY English , hopefully that was rectified . All other staff were pleasant and helpful. Melia Puerto Vallarta: Worst Resort we have ever stayed in!

No where near a 4* - hotel old and in need if complete refurbishment, Food was not very good - same dishes every day, primarily Mexican fare with little variety I've never been to a breakfast buffet where you cannot even get bacon. Drinks very little to offer and ran out of something or other every day. No mojito, one day no tonic for a gin and tonic the next, and so it went on. Not enough chairs around the pool, beach not cleaned up

Riu Palace Pacifico: A beautiful and clean resort!

The Riu Palace Pacifico is a smaller resort so it's good for getting to the pool, beach and buffet easily. It's beautiful and very clean! lots of cleaning staff everywhere. The food was very good overall, seemed to be lots of choices and somewhat of a variety. We only ate at the steakhouse one night and the ribs were good (but just as good as at the buffet) and the chocolate cake was soooo rich and wonderful! Lots of fresh fruit, good drinks, great service everywhere. With the variety of seating [... read more] areas, you could always find shade or sun. The junior suite partial oceanview room was ok, I didn't like the two level seating area leading to the balcony. There was a large tub, so might be harder to get in if you have mobility issues. The bed was firm but comfy. The pillows were absolutely awful! not even really pillows just lumpy garbage! We complained and the front desk staff chuckled as they got that complaint a lot. The new pillows they gave us were normal and good. Ask for a room above level 3 if you hope to see the ocean at all. The lower levels look out onto a huge patio that you aren't allowed to go onto and the buffet is noisy underneath if you are on level 1 on that side. I have heard they are renovating the pool area into 4 separate pools so won't bother commenting on the pool. The beach is miles long so if you like walking then you can do that, but the angle of the beach leading into the water is a bit too steep for easy walking. This creates a lot of waves as well, so it's not ideal for little kids. The Palace is overall a quiet and beautiful place to relax, only about 25 min to the airport and the weather in Nayarit was stunning in November. The beach vendors didn't bother you too much, but there was always horses standing in front of the resort and I just felt sorry for them standing there in the 30 degree weather all the time with no food or water. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and met lots of people that have been coming there repeatedly for years. My biggest complaint would be that Riu is only partnering with Sunwing from Toronto and I will NEVER use Sunwing again. I can't even tell you how bad that airline is!

Las Palmas by the Sea: Under New Management

I have been going to this resort for 20 years. I did not go last year because of Pandemic. This trip showed some major changes. For some they are good for others they are bad. They resort has now become a total non-smoking resort except on the beach which is public property. This is good because you could not sit by the two pools because smokers sat beside you and chain smoked then throwing their butts on the concrete. You cannot sit and drink by the sports bar or main bar anymore either.  [... read more]First it is a non-smoking bar and second by removing the chairs to sit down at the bars they are saving money on liquor because this is an unlimited drinks resort. You have to take your drink to where you are sitting. The resort has been completely painted inside and out. New mattress and bedding and pillows. No more live entertainment just a disc jockey to save money. Food is very good lots to eat. Lots of previous employees let go. Waiter service at your table very slow and also seems non caring. Asking for ice water with your meal is a big ask. No more sports on Tv at the bar because they don't want you to sit there anymore and drink. No more coffee at six am before restaurant opens at seven. People leaving early get no coffee or tea. Two weddings at adult pool meant they closed pool early for the patrons so they could set up. Music for the wedding went till 11:00 am so patrons could not sleep. Resort bringing seven busloads of Mexican locals to resort to register for day activities which include free breakfast. So, the patrons staying at the resort had to wait 90 minutes in line to get their breakfast but when they got to the buffet table it was all gone so the resort brought out the lunch menu at 10:30 am. If they raise prices, it would not be worth going there

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Royal Decameron was awesome!

We chose Royal Decameron because of its location. We love Bucerias and stayed many times before, but never in an all inclusive. This resort and its staff were incredible. The buffet food is just that, buffet food, but with enough options to please the picky palate. The beauty of this location is if you tire of the buffet and a la cartes, you will find a charming little taco place or restaurant along your walk into Centro Bucerias. The Chedraui grocery store is a convenient 10 minute walk wher [... read more]e you can find everything you may have forgot to pack... also a great place to pick up momentos if you are not into bartering on the beach or marketplace. We booked an Ocean Front room in Building 1, third floor and it was spectacular! A 180 degree view of the beach ensures incredible mornings and sunsets! Although this complex is rather large, it didn't seem so, if that makes sense. We meandered around the complex and everything was easily accessible. There was even an adults only section, where the majority of the seniors stayed as it is geared to be a quiet zone, so if you tire of the pounding music and animation team, or the kids splashing, this is the place to get a break. The beach is beautiful! Sure you have the early morning chair savers (which resort doesn't) but there was always a sufficient amount of chairs/palapas for all interested. Also, plenty of chairs around the many pools. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Royal Decameron, and will return next year.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Nice hotel with great amenities!

The AIR CANADA ride from the airport was long1.5 hrs, as we had to make several stops We stayed ocean front which was very nice, the beach is beautiful to walk and no problem getting chairs umbrellas are also available We went to the pool every day, you don’t have to get up at 6am to get a chair! There are lots and all have palapas for shade. Beach bar was ok, Buffet was good, specially restaurants leave a lot to be desired. There are guidelines for dress at specialty restaurants, but no one is turned away.. even those who think shorts and t-shirts are acceptable.. of course this is not the norm…. When did flip flops become evening wear? Pool & Beach! Green Too many men think this is acceptable. This is a great hotel and we would probably return. Beautiful weather and Lowe humidity in December
