Blau Arenal Habana Beach: Good resort.

The hotel grounds are quite limited but exceptionally clean. Public areas were quite accessible, acceptable and fairly clean but no paper towels or hand dryers. Our room was quite large and clean and well attended to by the maids. Dining, was not bad for Cuban standards with lots of baked fish at dinner time along with much ice cream. This hotel is much worth the money especially if you enjoy the beach and like nightly entertainment. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great beach

The grounds are well maintained, the rooms are big and clean. The food was always there nothing that was really awesome, but always something to eat. The resort is a nice size for walking, your are never more then 5 minutes from anything. The beach goes for miles and the water was so clear and warm.

Blau Varadero: Blau Varadero - Amazing Beach!

Overall, I did enjoy my stay at this resort. This is a 20 year old resort that has been very well maintained. There are a few areas that need fixing up, but overall its still really nice. Great, comfortable beds. AC, water pressure, hot water, all very good. This is also a very lively resort. Shows every night and a "disco" at the beach bar with a dj. Absolutely breathtaking. Having a bar right on the beach is a major plus as well. Obviously, being the off season, food was lacking and I am not sure if the lack of quality of food is due to being low season or whether it is just the state of Cuba at the moment, but the food was my only disappointment.

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: Budget resort in a good location

I have been to Cuba many times, this is a good resort for the budget minded and nothing more. Check in is at 4pm and check out is 1pm, which had me waiting all day for a room, very very annoying and inconvenient. The room safe was broken (batteries most likely needed replacing), I asked twice for reception to send someone to fix it, they said I had to sit and wait for someone to fix it, I gave up. The room and bed was decent and relatively clean, but the cleaners will do the bare minimum if y [... read more]ou dont leave a tip for them. I forgot to leave a tip, because unlike other resorts, they clean your room at any random time so I didnt know when to leave a tip. The ladies working the main bar by reception were great, I always tip and they gave good service. The men working the bar had an attitude, and making a coffee that was drinkable was a challenge for them. If you cant make a proper coffee, you should go find something else to do, especially if im leaving tips. My biggest concern was the smell of rotten milk coming from the main bar, which lasted for 2-3 days. Clean your bar, the smell of rotting milk is something we dont want to smell every morning. I only ate at the main buffet dining room, and was very selective on what I ate. The bread was excellent, everything else was ok. If you want to eat good food and not get sick, the main Varadero strip is where you should be eating. This is a budget resort, dont expect quality food. The Cubans staying and working at the resort were mostly welcoming and cheery, the tattoo slathered French-Canadian whales, not so much. Being surrounded by low class low budget drunks who yell expletives is what to expect. The beach is as nice as any other resort in Varadero, to sum it up, an excellent price for what you get, but this is what you get.

Once again we were very impressed with everything and everyone at the Sol Caribe Beach Varadero. Before even arriving Yolanda and her team (Ismary, Laritza, Annie, Grisel) had everything ready for our arrival...early check in, our 3 rooms close to each other and a la carte reservations made. Yolanda has made every stay at this hotel a memorable one and goes above and beyond for us, she truly is the BEST! The reception staff welcome you with genuine smiles and warmth. A special thank you to Lily who got us checked in quickly so that we could start enjoying everything about this great hotel right away. She went out of their way to make us feel back at home. The animation team is phenomenal. Their energy is infectious from morning until evening. Whether it was yoga on the beach, aqua aerobics, beach volleyball, sports in the pool and dancing by the pool they managed to engage guests of all ages without being intrusive. Nights brought even more magic, talented shows, live music, themed events that were fun but never forced. They clearly care about what they do, and it shows. Special thank you to Candy, Yansey, Jonathan and DJ Jose the time you spent with us will not be forgotten. Bar staff deserve a standing ovation. We started every morning with a delicious iced latte made by Adel or Yoslady at coffee corner, best start to your day and always made with special touch and smile. Han and Yoilan took care of us everyday at the pool and Addier and Otto at the beach bar. They always remembered what we liked to drink and didn't let our cups go empty. Drinks were always served with a smile, and quick service so you never have to wait long. Snack Bar is a great stop for lunch or a snack if you didn't want to go to the buffet, offering ham and cheese, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and fries Julio, Greter and Janet were great and remembered what we liked. The grounds are immaculate. Lush landscaping, manicured flower beds, and plenty of shady spots to enjoy the view. The pools sparkle and are cleaned daily. Common areas smell fresh. Rooms are spotless—cleaned every day, with fresh linens, towels, and thoughtful attention to detail. Without hesitation I will return the Sol Caribe Beach Varadero this is a 5 star hotel/service in my opinion. I can't wait to return for another great experience

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Grand Memory Santa Maria

.Very poor service from waiters in the restaurant, always expecting tips. Very poor preparation of rooms for living - ventilation and plumbing don't work, lots of breakdowns upon move-in.Service is not well.

Sanctuary Cayo Largo: Love this resort

I love it here, but it is not for everyone.The bungalows are amazing.Staff is excellent and very friendly.Pool and food is great.You have to take the bus to the beach, which is okay but sometimes difficult to get back.The main problem is No flights from Toronto, so for me 8.5 hrs drive to Montreal.I want to go back but the drive !

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: 2nd time visit

I loved everything the 1st time that is why we returned.The rooms, pools and beach are great.The staff are really friendly especially the entertainment team and the butlers, very helpful.I would prefer it not to have Diamond Club,it is not needed and only makes returnees annoyed.There are only 122 rooms , I think larger hotels need a special club but not here. We may return, not sure.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: So upset

This was the worse resort ever. We lost our air conditioner 3 times in one night. This trip was my daughter's honeymoon and there was nothing recognized for that after they said they would make it special for her and her new husband. The room was not set up with a crib and small bed for there other child of 4 years old. We were not told that the dining hall was changed to the other end of the resort and they moved dinner and lunch like 4 times on us without telling us and then making us have our [... read more] meals outside where the bugs and mosquitoes were biting This was not a pleasurable experience with 2 small children and so late at night My daughter and family and I were also supposed to be close together and the first night we were at different buildings We were very disappointed at how they run things and will never come back and never recommend to anyone

Sanctuary White Sands: Amazing experience!

The first day I was a bit skeptical, but by day two everything completely changed — it was amazing! The staff, butlers, and everyone on the resort were so friendly, helpful, and genuinely wanted guests to have a great time. The only downside, honestly, was the mosquitoes this season, so definitely bring bug spray. Other than that, I had an incredible experience — the beach was absolutely stunning!

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Relaxing and memorable

The staff were amazing. I really appreciated getting to know them and how willing they were to do anything to help us or meet our needs. The butlers are to be commended as well. Yumior and Yennel were super but l appreciated all of them. The hotel is unique in many ways and we enjoyed the beach, the bites restaurant for breakfast and lunch was a nice change but the selections buffet also was good. Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: A Great experience

I enjoyed the lovely people there. The hotel was clean and well kept. The gardeners work hard because everywhere you look it’s so nice!!! My favorite place to eat was Bites. Although l still enjoyed all of the options. The staff was by far unforgettable.

The pools were beautiful and clean. But the beach was a little rough but I still enjoyed it. So were the grounds. The food was lacking flavour at times but still we had choices. Breakfast was especially great but Woujd have been better if we had more fruit choices. The service was exceptional. My butler Daniel was very helpful and the rest of the staff always tried to please us. The restaurant staff were amazing, friendly, warm, kind and most helpful.

I booked my trip to this resort via Tripcentral and as usual Tripcentral is excellent in customer service. Resort: it was a solid resort. Beautiful Food: repetitive but have options to go a la carte even in low season Show at Night: needs improvements. Boring .other resorts in cuba engage the guests to dance Beach: tons of seaweeds. Not comparable to santa maria and cayo cocos clean beaches Staff: friendly and not mean to the stray cats My overall rating: 7/10

Melia Las Antillas: Needs a big makeover !

Beach is awesome ! but the rest leaves a lot to be desired, For three days no working elevator so up the stairs to the fifth floor ! No vodka and very low end rum. The bathtub was completely stained with what I don't know. This used to be a nice place, but now it;s been abandoned and neglected !

Sol Palmeras: Fantastic Resort

Just returned from my 3rd trip to my second home, Sol Palmeras. As always a pleasure to return. Staff was welcoming when checking in. Lobby had more areas to relax while enjoying entertainment in the evening. Amazing various singers and musicians. Night time shows have been refreshed and also amazing. You can see the dedication by the performers. Enjoyed daytime entertainment at the beach and at the pool. Stayed in the bungalows as usual and everything was clean and bed’s comfortable. The grou [... read more]nds are constantly maintained and the new bar area off of the beach was a great addition. Great place to have a drink in the evening and converse with friends. Buffet had various options during all meals. Chicken, beef and various seafood available. Fabulous soups available each day. Enjoyed a lunch at the snack bar, chicken sandwich with fries. Ala-cart Chinese and Tex Mex were also enjoyed. Only attended those two as we were happy with the buffet and didn’t want to have to go for dinner at a certain time as we were enjoying ourselves at the pool and beach. For myself the best part was seeing and spending time together with all of great friends (family) made with the staff throughout the year. ( Odarmis, Mario, Caridad, Julio, yahimy, Idelmis and many more) I surprised them with this visit, as I usually don’t come there in September. All showed me that the love we have is both ways. Melia Las Americas: Beautiful resort right on the beach

While the grounds and pools are very nice the rooms are outdated and old.Only 2 small elevetors and not working all the time.It wort to upgrade the stay at level side.The hotel is right on the beach and it's easy to get around. The food was ok.Since I prefer fish and sea food there is every day good selection. Drinks are ok.Service on the main bar was the best.Snack bar have burgers and sandwiches that were good. We LOVE Sol Palmeras and Cuba! Would go every month if we could ?. Staff are our friends, food is wonderful and plentiful, entertainment is great, ocean is amazing! No complaints whatsoever!! Thankyou ?❤️

Starfish Varadero: Great resort

The food isgood. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. I will return this is my 7th time. Pool was clean grounds are nice. Beautiful beach . BBQ near the beach is amazing. Lots of mixed drinks and good snacks at pool bar

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Laguna Azul

As you can see in the photos, grounds are beautiful and are well maintained. Hotel is a little older and renovations are ongoing. Staff is incredible. As soon as you walk in the lobby, you are met with smiles and Hola's. Food in Cuba is always a question people ask about and I always say, I have never come home weighing less than when I left home.
