Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Beautiful resort!

Resort was beautiful! Staff was friendly and the service was prompt! Food was delicious and resort had variety of restaurants. Would definitely recommend to people looking to stay in Jamaica! Overall very relaxing vacation.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Amazing Time

Our 2nd time to this resort. Our first visit was in 2010, 2nd visit April 21 to 28, 2017. Four of us travelled together. My husband and I booked through TC and our friends through WestJet. This was a WestJet flight, Sunquest tour, booked though TripCentral. As this was our first Tripcentral booking we were a little worried going in. No need. From booking with Matthew Allen at TC - who was very helpful and knowledgeable - to our transfers with Royale Tours - everything went off without a problem. [... read more] In fact, we were picked up and dropped off 20 minutes to 1\2 hour ahead of the WestJet travellers. Once we arrived at the resort we did get offered a couple of upgrades, for a price. When we declined, we thought we would be stuck in a dumpy room, but not so. We received a third floor room in building 2 that was very nice, and renovated since our last trip. Beds are quite comfortable, housekeeping was excellent and our fridge was stocked daily with beer, water, and pop if we wanted it. Staff was amazing. Our favorites were Guillermo at the lobby bar, Enrique at the beach bar (yeah baby), and Victor at the adult pool. Food was excellent, with very much variety. Had lobster for my birthday and it was probably the largest I had had anywhere. Was served birthday cake with candles and a song, as well as receiving champagne in the spa on my birthday. There is a lot of stairs and walking uphill (both ways), but was it great exercise. Cannot find a single negative about this resort, except maybe to serve Bailey's in all the bars, not just Hemingways. We are already looking at booking a family trip here for November.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Perfect destination wedding vacation!

We stayed at the GP Jamaica with 23 friends for our wedding. Although check in was disorganized (it was 11pm and the staff were stressed and not overly friendly), we all enjoyed our stay here. It is a large resort but easy to walk and there are shuttles available to take you wherever you want to go. The food was fantastic! Our group stayed in buildings 12 and 13 which are close to the main areas and across from the quiet pool....which was the perfect spot! The lady hamilton rooms are updated and nice. We stayed in a suite on the LH side in building 26. The room was amazing...ocean front and close proximity to the main building. It was very noisy as we were close to the main pool, and beach where many wedding receptions are held....but everything shuts down at a reasonable time. Since the resort is so large it can be pretty busy at the main pool and the a la cartes. We didn't have any problems finding chairs on the beaches. The wedding department was fantastic! Our wedding coordinator was Meloney and she was amazing. The wedding day was perfect and we didn't have to stress or worry about anything! Our wedding day was a dream! This was our second time in Jamaica and were very pleased with our experience and wedding at the Grand Palladium!

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Loved it!

Great resort, with nice pools, several beaches and lots to do. Watch out for sea urchins in the water at the far beach! I loved the food! Besides the Jamaican food, the Steakhouse and Indian restaurant were my favourites.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Great Resort

Hotel was excellent, very clean and friendly. Our maid went over and above in her service. Our problem was with Air Transat and we were not pleased with how we were treated at the boarding desk. Four people were booked for two seats. Two people booked twenty four hours before the flight online for our seats that we booked on April 1st. We were not treated very nice at the desk as we were told those two that booked the day before had priority over us. Finally someone came and told us we would have our seats and the others would be moved and they got Option Plus for free as they gave up their seats for us. We will not fly Air Transat again and will be telling everyone we know not to book through Trip Central or Air Transat. NOT HAPPY

TRS Turquesa: Beautiful Adults Only Resort!

This was our first trip to the Dominican Republic. The Royal Suites by Palladium is one of four resorts on their property in Punta Cana (adjoins their resort family of The Palace, The Punta Cana and The Bavaro). The staff were amazing, the grounds were impeccable and the beach was absolutely stunning! They have a wide array of a la carte restaurants which were delicious but even the buffet was amazing and we ate there several times. They had live entertainment and shows every night if you like.  [... read more]If there is anything you require, the butlers are readily available to assist with any request or need you have. We experienced some excursions and spent a day at the Zentropia Spa - it was absolutely wonderful. We stayed on the third floor but would highly recommend the swim up suites - they were completely booked during our stay. The people are wonderful, we had an amazing stay with the Royal Suites and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a laid back, relaxing or romantic vacation together. We can't wait to go back!!

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Amazing resort

This was our 13th trip to Grand Palladium in Punta Cana. Disappointing arrival experience. We were at resort at 10:15am. Totally prepared for our room not to be ready - always have beach necessities in carry on. We were told we would receive our bracelet at noon. If we wanted it sooner it would be $10/hour until noon. Our only option was to SIT IN LOBBY as we couldn't go to beach or get food without bracelet. After spending thousands of dollars on our vacation we were very upset. We specifically asked at booking time NOT TO BE IN JUNIOR SUITE because of stairs to sleeping area with bathroom on lower level. Yep, Junior suite it was. We were so tired & had no fight left in us we didn't even raise the issue.

Grand Palladium Palace: Great Resort

Rooms: we were in a newly renovated single story room in the palace section. Rooms were up to North American standards (with USB wall plates and a Bluetooth alarm radio for example). As you will read in other reviews, shower design is odd... it is a little difficult to get into and out of the shower (need a wooden step). Not an issue for people with no mobility issues but could be a problem for elderly guests. Not a big deal for a couple but could be awkward if you share a room with a friend. Also, if you can, try to get second floor room as the balcony is covered and is a nicer place to hang out (perhaps while your getting ready for dinner). Wifi: fairly strong free wifi throughout resort. Good enough for FaceTime. Beach: amazing beach. Chairs were not that difficult to find. We would go to the beach at 8am and could find very good seats in the "front row" with a parasol and there aren't really more than 3 rows (more or less) or chairs. Pools: pools were very nice and one is open late. Fairly relaxing atmosphere while we were there (ie people were having fun but it didn't feel out of hand in terms of partying - on the same note, i suppose that if you are looking for a more wild party trip, you may be a bit disappointed). Restaurants: Food was very good (relatively speaking - for an all inclusive resort in DR). Decor / ambiance was very nice in each à la carte. We went to six à la cartes. Our favorites were the steak house, Italian and Brazilian grill (we did not get into the Japanese restaurant but hear that it was also very good). You cannot make reservations unless you are in the royal section (i think). We would typically go to dinner around 8pm. I understand that if you go when restaurants open (6pm), you get in fairly quickly, otherwise you go on a waiting list. In our case, we waited anywhere between 15 minutes and 1.5+ hours. I would say the most frustrating part of the trip was getting into the à la cartes. Restaurants are sometimes half empty but you are still made to wait (i assume to keep tables open for whoever can reserve). It is also sometimes very difficult to figure out how much time until you are seated or how many tables are in front of you on the list. For example, you can be the next table on the list but then watch people walk into the restaurant ahead of you. When I asked if anyone can reserve tables (simply because I was trying to figure out how the system worked) I was told no... but I really think some guests can reserve and jump the line (royal guests and travel club perhaps???). This is all "fair game" if that is the case and perhaps if this was clear I could be "upsold" to one of those rooms if I decide to return in the future. In any event, we are on vacation and have nothing better to do so it did not ruin the trip or anything...also, you typically get a pager and can go wait near a bar so it was not that bad. Japanese was the only restaurant everyone could reserve but be ready to line up at reception at 7am if you want a sitting earlier than 1015pm. Also, if you have children or do not want to wait, the buffets were excellent and probably just as good as the à la cartes. Summary: great resort. Would consider going back, but with the option of reserving restaurants... so maybe upgrade to royal if price difference is not unreasonable (but could also be convinced to try another 5 star in the area).

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Wonderful Resort

The room was great...very clean, best maid service ever, always a beautiful sculpted art piece from towels....beds super comfy and also the pillows...lots of hot water for showers...the whole resort was kept clean and repairs always being made...food awesome...pools beautiful and warm....beach in front of our resort kentanah was nice...the odd large stone, but easy to see...waves very soft ...enjoyed our 9 days there...would recommend for a relaxing vacation.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Great beach for a getaway!

The 3 best things about the resort? Staff Beach Food We especially would like to acknowledge Jorge and Roberto for checking us in and out with ease and introducing us to the features of the resort. And Adriana in recreation for being so fun. One of the best beaches for playing and boogie boarding. The rocks are a bit of a nuisance but the waves were great.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Great Starter Resort!

It was my Husband and I's very first Vacation and we were quite happy with the Resort. The staff was friendly and the grounds were well kept. The entertainment and food at the Restaurants were alright, nothing spectacular. My only real complaint was the smell of septic that constantly lingered. Other than that we had a great time and loved the beach and sunshine!

TRS Turquesa: 2nd time around

Start off with the grounds we're clean and groomed nicely. Our room had a few things that didn't work but never complained. Pools nice , beach nice. Vendors on beach continuously bug to do excursions. Drinks were very below par. Every drink was made way to strong that u couldn't even drink and the beer isn't very good but did the job the food seem not the greatest compared to the last time we went on 2015 but again we didn't starve. Staff was always pleasant.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Amazing experience!

We had the time of our lives at the Grand Palladium group of hotels. Having access to all 4 hotels underneath the chain is what made it so special. Each hotel had a different look and feel. So many restaurants, pools, bars and activities! There were plenty of beach chairs and umbrella's as well. No matter what type of vacation you are looking to experience you will find it here. It is kid friendly but they also reserve sections for adults only so that they meet the needs of every customer.

TRS Turquesa: Awesome resort

This was our second stay at the royal suites palladium. Everything was excellent, loved the wet area of the spa which was included with royal suites!! We had a swim out room which rocked would definitely recommend. Make sure to ask for premium booze they dont automatically serve the good stuff. Main big Buffet got repetitive stick to the royal suites buffet and make reservations at the restraunts😉 Only thing is stay away from people offering welcome breakfast and gifts unless you are lo [... read more]oking to waste 2 or more hours hearing about time share and the cost is like 20000USD or more....

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Loved this resort! We will be back!

This resort was very clean. There were cleaners everywhere and always alvailable. The food choices were amazing and delicious. There was always live music at the main pool. There are multiple activities you can do either with the people of palladium(POP)or on your own down on the beach. The POP were fantastic and friendly as well!

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Beautiful resort

The resort was amazing If anyone has a disability it is a good idea to upgrade to the Royal Suites as there is a lot of stairs. The royal suites are kept spotless the service was amazing, food for all palettes.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: One of the top resorts

Recently undergone renovations.We were there five years ago and what a difference ,All for the better.Fantastic staff.Try as I may I can not think of anything that we didn't like.Actually there is one thing.The way you are hounded by staff trying to get you to take an excursion,go to the Spa or take a two hour tour of the facility for a few token gifts.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Overall a great and relaxing getaway at the Lady Hamilton

We just got back from the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton and overall we had a great time. Below is some of my pros and cons Pro: Staff very nice and friendly Layout of resort to be easy and walk-able Pool area nice and clean. Beach area was nice ( a little small) Sunset cove area was amazing (quiet and not as windy) Restaurants we very good. My favs was the Creole, Chez Bubba and Poseidon. You need to go to the Jerk Hut at Sunset Cove. Worth the walk! The lounge area is a great place t [... read more]o go and relax after dinner. Nice entertainment and cozy chairs to sit in and watch. Cons (But not deal breakers): Room took a while to get cleaned. Usually our room was not cleaned until close to 4 pm. We found some of the restaurants a little cold so you may need to bring something to keep you warm unless you sit outside. If you have younger children be leery of the the night time shows. We found them to be a little too much for our 6 year old to watch. Also, if you want to be closer to the main pool area and lounge try to Villa 27,28. If you want to be near Sunset Cover and a more quieter area of the resort try Villa 35,36. Again not too much of a walk but if you have small children and prefer not to carry them after a long day/evening Villa 27,28 might be better for you.

This resort was amazing! Staff were great! The grounds and accommodations were clean and well kept. There was lots of variety in restaurants and food. We enjoyed the buffets most of all as we have kids and found that there was always something to please everyone 😊

I really enjoyed my stay! I was very impressed at the cleanliness at all parts of the resort. My only complaints would be that the a la carte restaurants aren't open for lunch so you can't go to all 9 in a week.
