Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Absolutely the Best Resort in Punta Cana

We picked this resort as we stayed there two years ago and loved it. I really was blown away with the newly renovated rooms. The new coffee shop, sports bar, and updated restaurants were amazing. We highly recommend this resort. We will be returning next year.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Great resort

Very nice resort. Exceptionally clean. Beautiful pools, grounds and beach area. Food good. Only security processes could have better. Rather than connecting me to another guest room, they gave me room number. Needed room key recoded and they did so without thorough questioning to ensure that was my room. Other than this, all was great.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: You get what you pay for

I do not generally write reviews, and relise everyone has their on opion but I feel people need to be aware of this resorts star rating. Blue Bay Villas would have been a excellent resort at some point. The resort is a far cry from any other 4.5/4 star resorts we have been to. Though the staff is friendly, I would not say exceptional. The facilities themselves are very well laid out, the beach is fine and the rooms are big enough. HOWEVER, apon arival we were given a very dark, dirty well worn r [... read more]oom I would expect from a 2 star resort. We had to pay $140 cash to upgrade to a room I felt comfortable enough in to unpack, but once again maybe 3 star worthy. The pool for me was the biggest disappointment. It was Dirty, we are not talking a few leaves dirty we are talking clumps of hair, white goo that sticks to your swim suit, greasy build up that sits on the water and makes you need to drink more in order to get into it. The food was nothing to write home and the selection was lacking (very little variety between day to day) however was a notch above cuba and no one got sick or gained weight! The entire resort needs a good renovation. The pool is missing alot of tiles, pool deck is in bad repair with lots of broken or tiles popping up when you walk on them. The room furniture is what you expect from a well worn motel and the general cleaniness just seems to be lacking. BUT, you get what you pay for and this was a cheap vacation. I do highly suggest the star rating for this hotel be reviewed.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Excellent resort

Had an absolutely fantastic 10 days at this resort. The resort grounds were very well kept. Buffet was great so much so that we didn’t do any of the ala carts. The beach was fantastic with plenty of shade with lots of seats available at almost any time of the day.

Emotions by Hodelpa Puerto Plata: Ver nice resort

Hi I just returned from a 1 week vacation at Emotions resort in Playa Dorada, and had a very nice time. The resort itself is quite pristine,the beach is exquisite, and I felt very safe walking from end to end which is about 3 kilometers. The room was very nice, the bed amazing and the towel situation was good. The people who work for this hotel are extremely polite, friendly and helpful. Kudos to Jose Martinez in the main buffet and Erica who greets you at the entrance both made my visits en [... read more]joyable, kudos also to Karen on the front desk, Lucia in the adults only bar, and last but not least Maria at the beach bar. The downfall for me was the food mediocre at best . In summation good value for money 3.5 star facility

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Great Resort

The Grand Bahia Principe is a beautiful hotel well maintain and great services. The A la carte restaurants is very good. Thanks to everyone for the good services that made our stay more enjoyable. I will recommend this hotel.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Superb 5 star resort

The grounds were well kept and the room was imaculate. The service was impeccable. The À la Carte restaurants had exquisite service and the same applied to the buffet which had a different theme every night. All the drinks listed on the all inclusive list were readily available.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Love this place

Let me start by saying I've been to this resort many times. Esmeralda, green, blue, and now aquamarine, which is green again. The people that work there have always been great, very friendly, always willing to help. The beach is amazing, that's all I need to say about that. The rooms in aquamarine need a little care. Not all a la carte restaurants are good, my favorite is mashua, a Peruvian Japanese fusion. Very good. The others are decent, but one I won't go back to is m.e.a.t. all about steak and meat cuts. Ordered rib eye and got something else, I thought a one off. But other guests saying same thing. Trying other cuts didn't help, couldn't chew the meat. I'm not blaming the cooks, they are given bad meat to work with. The shows are good, they work hard to try making guests happy. I will be back to this resort, love the beach and the resort is well priced compared to some area resorts. The new luxury anbar section is the renovated blue. Looks good, I may try this section in off peak time to get lower prices. We spend every day on the beach so no coments on the pools, but the pools look amazing. Lastly, the best parts about this resort are the beach, the staff and the cleanliness. Will definitely go back.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Great place

The hotel was very clean employees are very friendly food was fantastic . beach was clean. Over all great place. Entertainment was bad no real show's it was all people from the crowd who put on the show on

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Clean Resort

The hotels grounds were very well kept and maintained. The hotel room toilet and AC worked and there was always plenty of hot water in our villa. The only issue we had during our stay was our safe battery had died in the room right before supper time, we called the front desk and the battery was changed out within 10 minutes! The food at the resort was vast but the buffet had mostly basic foods with not much flavor. The ala carte restaurants were much better than the buffet but you are only allo [... read more]wed 3 during your stay(Always order the beef, girlfriend ordered chicken and got chicken wings and not chicken breast). The pools were clean and the beach had lots of Palapas and sun chairs. We saw the beach operator with his tractor cleaning the sand every day.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Great vacation at a great resort!

I've done many vacations in the Caribbean, and this was a first where I had very little to complain about. My mother and I stayed at Grand Sirenis from April 7-14. What appealed to me most was that it was a newly renovated resort. The room we had was clean and new. No moldy/musty smell we often have in humid tropical countries. Food was great, enough selection at the buffets. The a la carte restaurants were so so, was disappointed with the portion size at the Mediterranean restaurant and the American diner took long to come up with a burger and fries. Was happy though with the Italian a la carte, and the Italian at the buffet. The beach was great, with loads of chairs to choose from. There was some seaweed accumulation, but I think that's seasonal, and goes with the tide. It was cleaned up the next day. Pool was nice too, but the more shallow pool was where most entertainment took place and a little noisy. The other section of the pool was less noisy, however deeper than 6 feet, and only good if you can swim in deep water. All in all a great resort.

Excellence Punta Cana: Exceptional resort

This was our second visit to this resort and we found the renovations they did quite nice.Cushioned double lounges around the pool and facing the ocean were the best! A small outside hot tub was appreciated ,very soothing! Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Nice Resort

I think it was a pleasent experience staying at the Iberastar Costa Dorada Resort. To give context to my review I will have to add that we were a total of 8 adults 5 children travelling to this Resort. Upon arrival I was pleased to see how clean and beautiful the Resort was. The staff were very freindly, welcoming and helpful. They tried their best to accomodate us all close to each other, as we were four families in total. However, we had to wait three plus hours to be able to finally get rooms [... read more]. The room we got a had beautiful ocean view. The room was very clean and on the most part, modern. I will have to add that we asked for a crib for our little girl and when it arrived we noticed a small roach inside of it. We decided to not use it, obviously and let our daughter sleep with us instead. I did not see anymore insects inside our room however, in my sisters room next door they had found two on the wall. During the course of our stay, there were occasions that I saw a man walking around the building with spraying equiptment. I’m assuming he was going into the rooms that had roaches and insects in them. I think its also important to note that the noise level was very umcomfortabl at night and not easy to sleep with. From my room I could hear loud music and in the morning I would get woken up from the kitchn trollies that were being moved around to different parts of the hotel with many plates and glasses in them.The peacokes were beautiful watch as they are let to roam around the hotel but were very noisy, specailly early in the morning. So I would advise that you bring ear plugs. The food was alright, a bit repetative I think. But I would advice you stay away from the sea food. On the last night we had reservations for the greek restaurant which is the snack bar during the day and they served a lot of sea food which caused most of the family to experience stomach problems afterwards. Then again, it could be that we are not used to eating that much sea food and not so much the way they cook it. The highlight of the trip was probably the Japanese restaurant which had a small kitchen for each table and you are able to watc the chef cool you food. The sushi starters were amazingly delicious. The pool was large and I enjoyed that they had a shallow and a deep end (deep meaning it would go as high as my neck when standing on my tipy toes, Im short too). They also had a kitty pool which I would have used more for my daughter but it had no shaded areas and the sun would blare down on us. So we stayed away from that and used the big pool and stayed close to the edges for the shaded areas. The beach was not the greatest. There was a lot of green stuff by the shore and it was not pleasent to swim in. On, the positive side the staff were great as I said and go above and beyond to accomodate you. The place is very well maintained.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Great resort for kids!

We had a great stay with our 4 and 8 year old. This was a good value resort for our family. There was a bit of s scramble for pool chairs in the morning so I recommend getting up early. It would be great if the hotel had towel cards do people couldn’t leave their towels all over the chairs to reserve them.

Tropical Deluxe Princess: Beautiful gardens and wildlife

We enjoyed our stay because of the very beautiful landscaping and presence of wildlife. The restaurants and buffet were excellent. Lots of choices at the buffet. The restaurants were great. The servers were excellent. Cleaning was staff were very accomodating. Reception staff were fine. The only suggestion I would have is better maintenance in the rooms, ie plumbing and a/c. VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: VH Gran Ventana, Puerto Plata

We have been to this resort 2 times and both trips have been amazing. The resort is clean and well taken care of. The staff are friendly and their customer service they take great pride in. The food is amazing, lots of choices and you will come home gaining weight if you are not able to resist yourself. I did and I am a very pick eater. The beaches are clean and beautiful as well. We will try to return again in the future for sure.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Large beautiful resort👍🏼

Grounds n people are wonderful!! Was easy to get into dinners!! Drinks were very good!! Food was good!! Didn’t take long to get there from airport!! Easy check in!! They had us in a 3 bed room which I didn’t want they switched me to a king room !! 😊 Can walk for miles on this beautiful beach 🍹🍸🍺🦋

Punta Cana Princess: Perfect vacation

This was a beautiful resort. Views from our room were stunning. This was one of our favourite trips. Food was good. Rooms were very clean and we'll maintained throughout the day. Service was impeccable. Staff were personable, warm and friendly. Beach was kept clean and organized. Weather was fantastic. Loved it!!!

Playabachata Hotel: Beautiful resort

Very scenic resort, landscaping exceptional awesome beach, excellent food, friendly staff very clean lacking good evening entertainment no shopping area small gift shop good view of cruise ships leaving Maimon bay rooms clean and spacious all round I give this resort 8 out of 10

Grand Memories Punta Cana: Great family trip!

All was great. Staff was fantastic, service was quick. DO NOT DO THE TIME SHARE THING! Although the "free" steak dinner at the Royalton was amazing, it was not worth the 3 hours of my time. I had a new "blended" family go, and the water slides, etc. got them to bond. My only complaint (other than the time share) would be that there were limited seats at the pool and beach with shade. Otherwise, I loved it. Will definitely return...
