Platinum Yucatan Princess: Checked all the boxes for us and we will be back

To start with being a bigger property you do have a lot of choices, so many we didn't get to do them all. Normally for us the food is just ok as we have been to a lot of all inclusive resorts. The food here was the best we have ever had even the desserts had flavor at both buffet and ala carte restaurants. We played tennis for over two hours every morning and they even offer free lessons which a few in our group tried and loved. We paid the extra for the first time to get a walk out suite and loved this option always at the pool and only steps to go to get to your room. We did spend two days at the beach too and though a bit rocky in some spots as you enter the water still amazing. I played beach volleyball for 2 or more hours a day as lots a people means lots of players. Weather was perfect for the week and everything was so clean and tidy you knew you were experiencing a higher level of service. Thanks Princess team and staff, we didn't get to do everything so we will be back and staying longer next year.

Hard Rock Hotel Cancun: Very good service, decent food

The service and view at this resort was impeccable. The food was kind of bland. Best restaurant is Zen in my opinion. The market buffet was not my favorite however my fiance enjoyed the breakfast when we woke up in time for the 11:30 finish. Alot of people i spoke with liked Ipanema however I wasn't a big fan. Felt safe and welcoming. This is my opinion however I have not travelled previous to this occasion in just over 10 years so dont really have much to base this against.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Very nice!!!

It was great!!! Beautiful resort...the food was amazing and the staff was incredible. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend this resort as it being very spacious and doesn’t feel crowded

Pluses, Food was amazing at all the restaurants, staff was always friendly and went the extra mile, the one bedroom suite was clean and the beds were really comfy. Minuses, for people who like to read while on vacation there wasn’t really any comfortable seating. I would recommend this place to anyone who asks

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Simply the best resort we've ever been to.

My wife and I have stayed at approximately 15 resort over the past many, too many years and this place was without question the best managed facility we've ever been to. Plusses Absolutely incredible food, overall easily the best food we've ever had at a resort and comparable to best restaurants we've ever been to. Extremely clean bright and spacious. A never ending choice of swimming pools. Very nice Beach. Incredibly cheerful and helpful staff. Minor negatives Concrete throughout o [... read more]ur area in the Platinum section was in poor condition and spalling. We absolutely had to wear sandals when walking about. Japanese presentation was very poorly done. The presenter was uninterested, never met our eyes, and the food was the singular example of mediocre food during the whole trip.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Great Resort. Mediocre Food. Grumpy Staff

The layout and location were great for the kids. The water slide area and pools were excellent. The free access to surf boards, boogie boards and kids beach toys was an added bonus. The food was mediocre at best and there was not a buffet that was opened throughout the day, so snacks for the children between meals was difficult. Half the staff were friendly but much of the staff at the resort were surprisingly grumpy. For my next trip I will spend the extra cash and go to a Dreams/Secrets again.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Nothing Special

I love beach and unfortunate the beach on this resort is not good. You need to wear water shoes all the time because of the rocks. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The food is O.K Pools are good but beaches are not along all Barcelo resorts. I would not recommend this hotel for a beach lover like me.

Secrets The Vine Cancun: beautiful resort

This is our first time in Cancun, We had a wonderful time at secret the Vine. The staff overall was friendly, when we arrived at hotel to check in, they try to sell us preferred club membership, and bring us to different floors to see the rooms, charge $100/day extra, we denied this offer, in the end we didn't get any upgrade for our 30 years anniversary, we checked in on 20th floor a room, 5 minuses later, front desk called to move us to 11th floor, saying there was a mistake, and this room w [... read more]as booked by other guest. Overall, the service and the food was excellent. I will recommend to my friend.

Grand Riviera Princess: Great Vacation

Great hotel and resort. A la cart restaurants were excellent. One of the better beaches in the area. Hotel amenities were good, need more shuttles, lots of walking. Elevators are too far apart from one building to another. Rooms are well decorated, rooms are clean and daily cleaning is very good.

El Dorado Seaside Suites: No friendlier place on earth

Very very friendly staff. The kitchen was even so good to make us special food upon request two times. Rooms are clean, fridge stocked. Very nice grounds. Loved the outside eating areas, the live music outside, the outside bar with the swings. Was missing a nice coffee bar. The one in use wasn’t the greatest. Lounging at the beach is a treat. Loungers, beds, and even hangmats. The beach itself is a little disappointing with the shallow water to swim in, due to the sandbags needed to prote [... read more]ct the beach. Catalonia Playa Maroma: Excellent for the second time!

We travelled as a family of four with young kids, 5 and 4. The hotel exceeded our expectations as we arrived to a renovated room. The food is excellent, service is beyond exceptional, and the cleanliness truly laudable. We loved it a year ago and we loved it even more this time around. This is the only resort we re-visited for a second time and we will definitely be back!

The Sens Riviera: Great young family resort

When we booked we were looking for a small resort, with a nice beach. We have stayed in large resorts in the past and disliked the excessive noise, having to take shuttles to the beach so this time we wanted smaller, close to beach and pool. The first thing are the grounds. Lush and tropical, well maintained. Next the staff were incredibly nice. Next, every irritation about the big resorts were gone. No wristbands, no pool cards. Always fresh towels rolled in the towel caddy, you took what y [... read more]ou needed and returned whenever. With kids this is a plus. There were ample chairs in the shade, anytime of day pool or beach. If you wanted a specific spot, you’d need to stake it out early but otherwise there was always a chair. It was quiet. No obnoxious music and people trying to get you to participate when you were trying to relax and rest. Naps on the beach were the best. They sold fish food to feed the many schools of tropical fish that frequented the beach waist deep. Around noon on calm days a stingray would come for a visit. Many people ventured out where the waves were breaking on the reef and saw brain and fan corals and many more fish. Sea turtles hatched on the beach at night and made their way to the water, you could see the tracks in the morning. The food was good at the buffet, the restaurants were great. You didn’t need a reservation, just showed up and they seated you. My only thing was the kids club (which we didn’t use as we wanted to maximize our family time) would have activities like face painting only inside the club walls. You had to sign a waiver which meant if you weren’t comfortable with your young children near the pool, they couldn’t participate in the activities. Overall experience was great. I would recommend to families with young children looking for a quiet and relaxing time without too much fanfare.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Fantastic resort.

This was our first trip that we have taken. We stayed at the bahia principe sian kian. The rooms the staff were absolute amazing. I have never received such fantastic service anywhere, from the front desk to the bartenders to the server's. Would definitely go back. If your looking for a resort to have a great time this place is for you.

Golden Parnassus Resort & Spa: Great views on the ocean side!

Overall I was very happy with everything. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The beach is always clean and maintained. Food was so-so but the drinks were always mixed quickly and fairly strong! :) rooms were very comfortable with good pressure in the shower. adults only and a smaller hotel are my favorites! I would definitely go back!

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Best resort ever

VIM has a way of making their guests feel like this is their second home. From the moment you arrive and are welcomed with the beautiful aroma of the Lobby, and the staff that always have a smile on their face, you know you have come to appreciate this piece of paradise. ❤😍🌴🍹👙❤

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Great resort

The resort was amazing. I had a lot of fun. It is super spacious and the beaches are really close to the rooms. The staff are really friendly and always greet you with a smile. The food is also really good.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Best Vacation Ever

I came to the Akumal with my family (in total a group of 11). During check in, the lady at the front desk ensured my family and I stayed together in the building which I greatly appreciated. The rooms were large and beautiful, I had fresh towels and a made bed everyday. The trolly drivers were very accommodating and friendly, some would go out of their way to drive me and my 5 yr old home (even if it wasn’t on their route) The food was delicious and always new and exciting as the akumal h [... read more]ad new themes every night. My favourite part were all the activities available. I participated in soccer, Zumba in the water, a dance class on the beach, swimming with A dolphin named Azul, jetskiing, a 3KM run with Jesus and a bike tour with Victor 2.

The Reef Coco Beach: Perfect little resort

If you like a small resort with a gorgeous beach, great food and excellent customer service then you need to go here. No walking 1/2 a mile to the beach from your room. Walk about 100 to 150 steps from you room and the beach is right there. They keep it immaculate too. Food is awesome, especially for a buffet. You can get great omelets or fresh fried eggs from the chef along with prime roast and more from the chef at night. Service is wonderful. Not to mention a five minute walk to 5th ave yet tucked away so very quiet. Right alongside a natural reserve. Can't ask for more.

Isla Natura Beach: Off season review

Huatulco is a lovely place; great sun and heat. Our price for Isla Natura was great. Pretty plain resort, no Wow factor at receptionist area for being built 2016. Resort seems much much older. Lobby bathroom; was that an after thought? Only one women's washroom stall & one men's washroom stall to accommodate the lobby, staff and lobby bar; same size as hotel room washroom. Hotel lobby & rooms built on hillside & located away from pool, beach & food services. I wouldn't recommend this resor [... read more]t for anyone with mobility issues. You have to hike up & down hill to get to pool area, beach, food services. Washroom for those areas involved more stairs to go down & up. Now there's a shuttle truck to take you up & down the hill but you are on your own with washroom lengthy stairs. If you are a beach lover there are steep steps to walk down to beach. More cabanas in beach area needed. Gym is only cardio equipment, no weights at all. No spinning class or yoga as stated. Hotel Staff was nice but communication can sometimes be a challenge. Breakfast and lunch buffet Mexican style with omelet & pancake station in morning. Fruit was always fresh. Dinner sometimes was a la carte when open & no buffet. We were there at their off peak season; mid November. So daily, meals change; no buffet at lunch most days, so order off a menu if they had it or snack bar menu. We assume because had fewer guests. Rooms clean, beds comfy, everything worked well, air conditioned and ceiling fan. Mini bar stock most times. We always tip our maid daily; maid always left water bottles, pop, juice, once in awhile beer. If no beer then just grab some can beers from bartender to take to your mini fridge.  We tip small amounts of pesos each time. Keep in mind they likely receive a small wage; they were always thrilled and grateful for the tips. Going to other sister resort offered turns out that food and drinks had to be paid for ; wasn't included; so not worth being shuttle there. Quests at that sister resort had to be shuttle to a beach club or our beach, no restuarant for dinner so they had to be shuttle to our resort to eat dinner. Night time lobby bar was open Saturday the day of arrival & Sunday; then was closed till following Friday evening @ 6 p.m. Only one bar by the food services, pool area open, out of 3 bars. Bar seem to be out of beer and booze almost every day. When the bar opened at 11 a.m., you had to wait for beer. You would be waiting for the manager to get back from the store. Manager arrived around 12 & all beer warm. You couldn't get a cold beer for another hour. There was no entertainment ( except at 9: 30 pm Sunday & Friday; Karaoke). If you are looking for a party resort this is not the place. Resort only for the ones wanting quiet & relaxing time. I would not rate this a 4+star resort.

The Fives Downtown Hotel: Nice Boutique Resort

We just returned from our 7 day stay at this resort on November 26th., 2019. It is a quaint boutique resort minutes from Fifth Avenue. We chose the all-inclusive package and the meals were very good. Staff at Mercatto, El Tigre, and the pool area were very friendly. The music at the pool bar on Thursday to Sunday was annoying as it was techno music and their was no variety.
