GROUNDS WERE WELL KEPT. BEACH IS NICE BUT SMALL. NOT ENOUGH SHADED AREAS TO SIT. VERY CRAMPED BEACH SITTING AREA. TOO MANY PRIVATE, EXTRA COST OR MEMBERS ONLY AREAS, INCLUDING ONE BEACH POOL AND THE COVERED RESTAURANT AT ONE END OF THE BEACH. DINING IN THE BUFFET WAS EQUIVALENT TO EATING IN CUBA - MEH. (NO BACON). SITUATED IN VERY BUSY AREA WITH CONSTANT BOMBARDMENT FROM LOCALS SELLING YOU THINGS OR ASKING FOR MONEY EVERYWHERE YOU GO. ROOMS WERE VERY NICE AND SPACIOUS WITH LOTS OF HOT WATER [... read more]. NIGHTLY ENTERTAINMENT WAS GOOD. MOSTLY RUSSIAN, SPANISH AND FRANCO GUESTS, FEW NORTH AMERICANS, IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: It's a dream!

Such an amazing resort! Ocean views from almost anywhere, quiet, amazing staff, terrific food! We ate gluten free and vegetarian with no problem. The service was amazing. The facilities are SO clean! Loved eating every meal Oceanside. We took the free ferry out to the public beach a couple of times to snorkel. Lots of fish to see. The public beach obviously isn't as quiet and clean as the resort, so if you're just looking to sunbath you may as well stay at the resort. Lots of shaded Oceanside options if you don't want too much sun. The design of the grounds is amazing... always a quiet spot to get away for some quiet time. My expectations for vacation are forever set too high now! I'll definitely be back.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Third Time is a Charm...

Once again, had a great time...upgraded to Preferred as we were returning guests. Poolview King. Food great..favorites were Mercure and Italian. Never did the buffet at lunch or dinner. One excursion, to Cataline Island...fantastic. Will return. Entertainment has gone down a bit in our opinion....more emphasis on the staff being the headliners..bring back the magic show, and Beach Party. Moving the foam party to the beach is a mistake...was too much fun in the pool....

Sunscape Dominicus La Romana: Great Beach,Good Resort, Amenities lacking. 3.5/5 Star Resort, not 5 or 4 star.

Pros: -Friendly Staff and efficient -ViP upgrade (25 USD/day/pp) is worth it for the Adults only part of pool and beach and room service and snack bar and pool bar and safe key and lounge bar and snacks and small minibar in room and fast WiFi. -Large rooms, lack decor and seem "tired". Comfortable beds. Good bluetooth speaker in the room with USB ports. Incense provided in rooms. Ensure tipping daily though for best room prep daily. -In room minibar was adequate with daily tipping Cons:  [... read more]-Towel service often runs out of clean beach towels. Only one towel per person permitted. -About 4 loungers in the VIP adults only part of the beach (mattresses with part shade) need to be squatted for at 06:00 in the A.M. with your towel. People hold them all day long with their towels. Its a "towel game". -Buffet can be underwhelming at times. -Billed as " Adults Only " resort but only the VIP areas are adults only. -Wifi is 10$/day if not with VIP. The free one is too slow. -Restaurants are very underwhelming. Limited free alcohol selections at supper meals are avalaible, as they prefer you order from the various bottles of wine available for Cash purchase outside of all-inclusive. Only the ViP restaurant was good enough. -Gift shops have limited selections of pharmaceuticals that are sold, along with Sunscreen, at 10 times the price of the same items in the shopping centers in town. -Electrical outlets in room use american style two-prong 110v system, but cannot plug in 3-pronged US electrical plugs (such as my laptop.) due to missing ground hole. -The GYM facility was very bad. One functioning treadmill with limited weight machines and difficult towel availability. -The use of table tennis paddles and various other recreational items on the beach required cash deposits. -Room service menu was limited. Sometimes hours of meals were not respected (menu states breakfast 'til 11am, but when you call at 10:40am they refuse breakfast and suggest you order the lunch items. -No hair conditioner provided, just shampoo and soap provided. -Room keys often de-magnetized requiring unplanned 20-minute walks back to the front desk to reset the cards every 48hrs or so. -Room toilets were located close to the beds so all body noises are heard by all in the room... -Room TV channels only has 3-4 english channels with no possibility for streaming or VOD or Netflix even if you bring a streaming HDMI device due to wifi firewalls. -Air-conditioning was not optimal in the top floors, and ceiling fan only worked at medium speed. -Single, not double, occupancy jacuzzi in the room. -Clothes dry racks not available in most rooms with stickers reminding everyone NOT to hang dry item onto the balcony rails everywhere.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Overall great resort.

Nice that it’s only half an hour from the airport. Air transit employees were very helpfull even on the return when the flight was delayed 2 hours. Resort was fantastic and recently renovated. The swim up pool room we had was a nice feature at the end of a long day at the beach. Food was overall very good but disappointing that ther were no gluten free options as I have celiac. The resort was very neat and clean and the staff were all very good.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Small and Relaxing

Overall a great experience at this resort. Small so easy to get around. Animation team was great special shoutout to Poderosa who went out of her way to be kind. Recommend it for quiet week with friends. Could use a few upgrades here and there though

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Great for families...bad for tummies

The grounds, pools, splash park, rooms, and kid zone were great! We had lots of fun! The food left something to be desired and by the weeks end both my husband and myself were sick as was our 7 year old....our son did not get sick but he stuck to plain pasta and cereals as he’s a fussy eater. We also did not get notified that our shuttle was moved up 6 hours and people were sent to a different resort due to plane delay. We showed up 2 hours before our shuttle and waited 11 hours for our shu [... read more]ttle before taking a taxi to the airport at 330am so we didn’t miss our flight. Staff did not communicate anything to us even after asking many questions.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Not impressed

The grounds are beautiful. The bed was very hard. Staff were rude and ignorant. Not what I expect from a Bahia Principe The only way I had beer in my room was when I went to complain about it. So in 7 days I had beer twice. Maid would leave 1 pkg of coffee but no sugar or creamer. Or no coffee. I never knew what I would get. We arrived at the resort around 11am. Never had a room til almost 5pm.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Resort was nice

The hotel itself was nice. Too big for my personal preference. A few of the staff were very pleasant, but most were rude and impersonal. The food was average, a la carts were ok, but hard to book. Especially since i speak very little spanish, felt as if i was interupting the person taking the booking. 24 hour restaraunt was non existant. Shopping was a little too high priced, and sales people extremely pushy. Had a theft from our room, front desk treated us as if we were lying. Nothing was e [... read more]ver resolved. Ni beer in our fridge for 3 days, until i complained. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Ok resort

The hotels is well maintained if somewhat limited in activities. In order to communicate you had better have learned Spanish or it's a guessing game. Great beach adult pool full of kids avoid pool.food was virtually the same every day but well made Nice trip overall Gail and lee

Zen like atmosphere. Long beach to walk. Loved the outdoor yoga. Clean grounds and rooms. Nice variety and good food. Friendly staff, great animation team. Close to Las Terrenas if you wanted a change of pace. Variety of day trips offered. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Ocean El Faro: Great Resort

We were there Apr 7-14/19 , we knew it was a new resort so we expected growing pains. The rooms were a good size and clean. Restocking the fridge was spotty at best. The restaurants were busy and the food was good. We walked the beach as there was a lot of seaweed so we spent most of the time at the pool and the lazy river. The resort was short staff for the amount of people staying at the resort. The service was slow but very friendly. The staff were doing their best. Management should also look at what I call the vultures trying to sell you travel packages (another name for time share) they are very annoying.. Riu Palace Macao: Amazing Resort is so true thank you.

This was a fantastic resort for a holiday and would go back many more times.The people took care of all your needs and where very well liked by all. The property was very clean,the pools were clean and warm the food was to die for fantastic variety every meal time,the beach was very clean and the ocean was nice and warm.The nightly entertainment was first class great shows.I would recommend this resort to any family and friends to go there. The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: When can I go back?!!!!

From the moment we booked with Trip Central to the last day of our holiday we could not have been more pleased with the experience. The resort provided amazing service,views,entertainment and food. We had a few issues with room and was happy to see problems resolved immediately. They would always follow up after to ensure we were pleased. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful 5 Star Hotel

This hotel is fabulous. Beautiful swim up room topped it off for us. Everything is kept so clean and the service is exceptional. Would definitely revisit. The pools and ocean is a paradise. Entertainment most nights was really good. Plenty of options for food at buffet or specialty restaurants.

Blau Natura Park Resort: Beautiful Resort

Very clean , friendly helpful staff. Good food , amazing beach , clean rooms Beautiful grounds and scenery if you couldn’t find something to eat it would not be the fault of the resort and they had a full range of excursions

Riu Republica: Great vacation, but...

Riu Republica is well managed. We had a good room, weather was great, walks on the beach were engaging. Restaurants and buffets, appetizing. My disapproval was in the size of the resort... and with the noisy boisterous pool sides and an overcrowded beach. What these huge resorts gain in size, they loose in privacy, exoticism and respect for nature. Is this the new trend in the Caribbean tourism? To replicate our city life in America. Hope not! Built side by side, with absolutely no natural space in between, there is no territory for nature and its species to grow and strive. By the way I have not seen many beach birds on the beach. I hope, wish, owners and their administrative staff would plan environmentally conscientious sites where architecture would blend with this unique and beautiful part of our world. Create smaller sites where we could live in harmony with nature.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Very clean resort

The resort was beautiful. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large which could my two son's family with their wife and two sons. One of the best beaches I've seen in the Caribbean. My grandsons loved the pool, water slides and the entertainment in the evening. The only thing we did not like was the food at the buffet restaurant . The food was not as good as a another resort we stayed at in Punta Cana, three other times.. Nice small resort easy to find your way around, grounds kept very nice, ocean view from the restaurant lovely, found the restaurant very noisy more like a canteen, staff not very attentive we left without drinks at breakfast and evening meals for some reason we were constantly overlooked, maybe the way to get attention is to tip first, we were a party of 4 ladies and not pushy rather go get our own coffee after meal than make a fuss. Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Beautiful Relaxing Resort

This resort was one of the most beautiful resorts I've been to. The size of it's perfect and the ambiance was so relaxing. The staff was topnotch, especially the animation staff! No problems getting chairs at the pool or the beach the whole time we were there. The beach is incredible, not crowded & perfect for long walks to the Luis's bar down the beach. The food selection was good. The rooms were a little small, but who cares... you don't go on vacation to stay in your room!
