Brisas Sierra Mar: Wonderful resort

Love this resort It's are go to place, The friendliest there and always see familiar faces Its to be recognized by some of the staff. Been to other resorts in Cuba but this one pulls at my Heart strings, I have no desire to visit any other resort in Cuba, the scenery will take your breath away

Playa Luxury Cayo Las Brujas: nice resort

This resort was clean and the staff were very polite. o This was a very good resort for people looking for quiet and relaxation not much entertainment but we still would recommend it We enjoyed this resort people were friendly and the food was alright had a great time would go back again.

Melia Internacional: Beautiful

Thanks to Heather she convinced me...Really enjoyed this hotel. The food was good lots to choose from but don't forget to bring your ketchup and hot sauce The beach was beautiful white sands well kept great service there's always someone on the beach to assist you with chairs or umbrella. Melia Varadero: R & R Vay Cay

Needed a getaway to unplug from work and other life stressors take in some sunshine fresh air get that vitiamin D we all need to endure our long cold Canadian winters. No cell phone no internet, just a book a glass of Brandy and a good Cuban Cigar and get back to basics. Walked daily ate healthy at a Fabulous Resort the Melia Veradero. Rooms were clean the grounds were beautifully maintained and the beach was glorious. Now when it comes to Cuba folks are always concerned about the food, let me tell ya you will not have that issue at this resort as the food was excellent to say the least. I ran into many vacationers who are returnees to this resort probably more so than any other resort or chain I have vacationed at over the years. I now know why as I will indeed be returning and bringing my family to experience this Melia Resort. So Melia Veradero get ready for another happy traveler who will now become the next traveler to become a multi return visit vacationer. I would like to put a special shout out to 2 staff in particular that work at the main bar the lovely bartenderness Seniorita Fatima who's happy demeanor and infectious smile makes you feel like you've known her all your life. And lastly Luis Miguel a young eager to insure all his table serve customers are happy and feel welcomed yet not overbearing just genuine charismatic personality. As a business man who has hired over thousands of employees this young man has potential to be a valuable asset to the Melia Team whom I would not hesitate to invest training to see the heights this young man can obtain. Melia Veradero I thank you for a providing me with one if the best Vay Cay I've ever had. I say Cheers to all the Melia Team OUTSTANDING !!

Melia Las Antillas: Great Vacation!

Not only was this our first trip to Cuba, it was our first vacation at a down south all inclusive in over 17 years. We were not disappointed. Everything we had heard and read about the friendliness of the Cuban people was true and more! We especially enjoyed the live entertainment at the roof top patio before the main shows each evening. Loved the water ballet. Can't comment on the other main evening shows as we did not go to see them. We were pleasantly surprised by the food as we had heard so often that "the food isn't great but everything else is in Cuba." It certainly did not compare to the food on the Alaskan cruise we did last year, but we did not expect it to. But the food certainly did compare to what we would make and serve on a regular day at home as we certainly don't cook 5 star meals 7 days a week at home! The breads, cheeses and charcuterie were great. I had no problem building myself a nice salad with the fresh greens and vegetables on offer and there was always some fruit (though not the variety at home) and there was ice cream! The omelet station was great. There was decent variety in the meats, fish and sides (it helps that I really do like rice and beans and their typical cuban version is really good). The only negative I could say is that the "hot" items were sometimes just barely warm by the time we got to a table to sit down to eat. The spanish wines served at lunch and dinner were quite good. The buildings are nice, but not spectacular or particularly opulent. That suits us just fine. We loved the location of our room in one of the smaller buildings as our balconey was always in shade so we always had somewhere to go for an hour or so when we needed to get out of the sun. The room is large, with a nice sunken living area included. My only complaint would be that the bathroom is very dated and really needs to be refreshed with more modern fixtures and decor - it really felt like an old bathroom straight out of a 1940's roadside motel. We did two day trips, the Havana trip including dinner and show at the Tropicana, and the Jeep Safari tour. Both were great and allowed us to learn a lot about Cuba, it's history, and it's current way of life. We only wished we had taken along some items for the children on the Jeep tour as the kids ran to the roadside to wave at us as we drove through the small villages. Along that vein, yes, if you're going to Cuba by all means tip regularly with CUCs, but also bring along some of the goods that are in short supply there - they are very much appreciated. In all likelihood we will be back in Cuba someday, but probably at another resort, just because we prefer to not go to the same place twice. We did notice that many people do return over and over as evidenced by the hugs and greetings from staff when some new guests arrived. We did thoroughly enjoy our time at Melia Las Antillas and I'm sure you will too!

Hotel Playa Coco: Not recommended

I came back from here feb 24 2020, and I have to say I will never go back. My sister and I came back full of bed bug bites. Front staff very rude. Money exchange lady tried ripping us off. Nothing worked. Went with 14 people and none of us will ever return.

Playa Vista Azul: Ocean Vista Azul

The resort was awesome, small and not busy. Recommend the privilege. The alacarte restaurants were awesome. The buffet was decent but still a great place to eat. The view was amazing and the beaches were very nice

Melia Jardines del Rey: Melia ...NOT

The property itself is well maintained and quite lovely. The pools are large and fabulous. Thats were its stops.....the food is less than mediocre with the same 8 items repeatrd 3 times per day. Breakfast had the addition of eggs.The ala cartes have wonderful menus .....unfortunately none of this food is available.....pork or chicken unless you wish to pay 30 cuc for the overcooked lobster. Your in Cuba....the land of the Cuba Libre and they dont have cola??? This is not the Melia I have visited and Melia wont be seeing me again. Roc Arenas Doradas: It was ok!!

The hotel was clean, and budget friendly. The food was not wonderful, But we always found something to eat. Service everywhere was friendly, but not quick. The rooms absolutely need updating. The coffee bar Was delicious, and the staff wonderful.

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Resort has beautiful beaches and amazing staff.

The resort needs some TLC in some of the rooms but the beaches and views are beautiful. Food is not the greatest but you won’t starve that’s for sure. The entertainment is good and their is lots to do. Pools are great! The staff was amazing and I made great memories.

Carisol los Corales: Great vacation

Had a great week. Have been to this resort a few times but noticed this time they have put a lot of work into addressing issues of concern. Definitely cant go wrong for the price. Great and friendly staff.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Great resort

It is a very nice resort. Nice staff nice rooms. Great Beach and lots of pools. Great entertainment. Magic show a Michael Jackson show and much more. Typical Cuban food ok but of course not the selection we would see from 4 star resorts in other countries. Snack bar was good had chicken wings burgers pasta etc. No french fries though. Overall great hotel and stay would go back in a minute.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Beautiful place

The ground where well kept beautiful flowers everywhere Food was great except for the coffee it was terrible Beach and pool area very clean Beach could use more shaded areas to sit Staff was excellent and very helpful Hotel rooms very clean

Gran Muthu Imperial: Great resort!

Great place to stay. Beach is rocky, so bring water shoes. You really are in the middle of nowhere, so excursions are difficult so be prepared to stay mostly on the resort. The beach at Pilar is well worth the short bus ride for 5 Cuc. The staff are wonderful. The buffet has a bit of a design flaw as you line up for the food stations but overlap with others trying to get to the trays of prepared food. Playa Vista Azul: Worst vacation ever

From the moment I stepped foot in the room I knew The resort is not up to par. The room was filthy. The sheet wore stained the floor dirty the room smell musty. I took me 1 hour of fighting with front desk for them to clean the room. The food was cuba food I wasn’t expecting a lot. But the dishes were always dirty. There was cockroaches crawling on the walls. The pool was nice but 1/2 of the loungers are broken. The a la carte restaurants are confusing you can’t get a seat. So I never tri [... read more]ed them because you put your name on a list and wait so if you lucky you get a seat. So I didn’t eat at a la carte. The beach was nice and people are friendly. Beach towels that is another story. They never had any clean towels. Every time I go to get clean towels it is the same excuse we don’t have clean towels. So we used the same towels for the whole week. The room was cleaned daily but they never put more than 2 towels and we are 3 people in the room. I always have to call for towels. The don’t give you hand towels. So over all that resort is not 5 stars as advertised. It is maximum 3 star. I have travelled south over 26 times For vacation by far this the worst vacation I ever had. Never would I even come near this resort.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Beautiful resort

Everything was great except common toilets which were less taken care. Accommodation, grounds, food, excelent. Beach and water amazing! Service excelent and people extremely friendly. It was a great vacation.

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: Worst resort ever

Service ,rooms end food really bad!!! Never again in dis resort!!! Not recommended .Table not clean you have to serve your self to take forks end spoun ,if you ont something to drink you gonna need 3-4 time to ask.

Melia Las Dunas: Beautiful beach!

Just got back from a week with my 3 kids... we had a nice time. The resort is pretty well maintained for Cuba. There was lots of food and if you hunt around, there are some pretty good options. Service was good - but I tipped at each buffet, bar and daily for housekeeping so think we got a little extra love for that! :) The beach was beautiful - you could usually get loungers which was nice. Didn't really spend much time at the pools as we are beach people - but they seemed nice when we popped by. Manage your expectations and you will have a good time.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Beautiful grounds, great people

Just got back from a 5 day stay at Iberostar Playa Alameda. Since we were there for such a short period of time, we didn't do any excursions and stayed on the resort. Luckily, there was lots to do - Charlie and the entertainment team do a great job of hosting events. We did rum and cigar tasting and pairing, cocktail mixing, dancing, and much more. For the most part, the staff were also incredibly kind. One thing that was a bit frustrating was that many people would put things on beach and pool chairs to reserve them and leave for hours at a time. If you come here, please be kind and take your stuff with you when you leave! The room itself was fairly muggy - I'd recommend leaving the AC on for as long as possible, otherwise the moisture will make your clothes smell a bit funky. There was also a piece of glass on the floor when we first came in and the balcony door was broken. However, the rooms are fine if you're just using them to sleep in at the end of the night and not spending your days there. Overall this was a great place to stay, even if the rooms were somewhat lacking.

Playa Pesquero: Good resort

We visited the resort last year, liked it, came again, and just returned home. Beautiful beaches and Cuban people like we are used to seeing. The hotel was never five stars, but it is good. Food has deteriorated in diversity and quality from last year. Was the hotel worth the price? I cannot tell. I guess the best benefit you get by paying more is the absence of annoying loud drunk Canadian and sometimes Cuban tourists who do not go there because it is expensive.
