Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Decent resort

When I arrived I immediately upgraded to the VIP Adults Only area which set me back 600 so in the future I should bundle with the Tripcentral or airline. Sadly didn’t get the 200 credit and the beach was awful sand was ok but water very murky so I mostly stayed in the adults pool as the other one wasn’t very clean

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Expect the unexpected

Hotel /resort was over all nice. You can see it’s aging. The buffet food was ok, a bit repetitive. The pools are nice and the beach is nice and clean. The disappointment started when there were items in my room not working properly ex. Jacuzzi, balcony light. They state there’s a mini bar in the room, it’s just mini fridge with soft drinks. Everything is spread out on the resort, although they have shuttle service sometimes you will find that you will get to where you want faster if yo [... read more]u just walk and if you’re willing to walk at least 10 to 15 minutes. They only provide free Wi-Fi in the lobby (which isn’t very strong) although they mentioned there is free Wi-Fi. I had to pay for Wi-Fi for an entire week in my room and also was able to use within the resort. However, often times the connection was very poor and that was frustrating. Not all the bars had the exact same drinks so there was no consistency in that area. Another big disappointment was I can only book at three restaurants during my 7 day stay. Previous resorts I have gone to you could book at the restaurants as many times as you want. The staff could be friendlier.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: 2nd time even better than the 1st!

Second time, better than the first!!!! How is that possible?? What it made it so great? Johan, Johan, Johan is the MAN! By far the best concierge/butler we have EVER experienced. He has now set the bar so high I really don’t think anyone will ever compare. Firstly, when we arrived we had a major hiccup, which I am not going to even bother sharing because Johan quickly saw the grit in my teeth and managed to not only manage my issue, but go WAY above and beyond. I truly he believe made our t [... read more]rip even better than it would have been had everything gone smoothly from the start. So here is the deal: • Go Diamond club….totally worth it. Dinner reservations, great beach bar, better room locations, great little Diamond club with appys. • The food….I am in TOTAL awe at whoever complains about the food. Are there the odd dish that is so so, yes, but we have been to many high-end Mexico resorts and quite frankly this is on par. Yes, the portions are small. If you are complaining about that, you may want to reevaluate your eating habits….or maybe even your ordering habits, just order more dude! Problem solved! • The person that complains about the entertainment is probably stuck in some strange time warp. The Madonna singer was AMAZING. We actually thought she was lip syncing and had to take a double take to realize she wasn’t. • The rooms can be damp, yes. Why? It’s called humidity. People leave their room sliders open to enjoy the sea air….this is the result. It tends to also affect the wood, which is prone to warping in the sea air. And sea air is corrosive on metal. I think the resort does the absolute best in trying to keep up with it. The rooms are still clean and sexy. • The service overall was generally really good. The pool and lobby bars could maybe add a couple extra people during the rush times, but overall no complaints. • The pool area in the afternoon is not as much a party as we would have liked. The DJs tend to smile and nod when you ask for requests, and continue to pay the Spanish dance music. The techno music they play during the water aerobics is AWESOME, and wish they played that in the afternoon. Admittedly we did sneak down to Breathless for an afternoon to party at their pool. However, outside of that I hate Breathless. Stayed there once and it had terrible food, weird resort layout and bad bad bad entertainment. • While Chic is a small resort, the layout is so expansive it makes it feel bigger than it is. • The beach is beautiful. No seaweed, well manicured. A few waves to make it interesting. We have never been to any resort more than 2 times but we WILL be back for a 3rd to Chic. Did I happen to mention Johan? Truly he made our trip so amazing, I can’t thank him enough. Johan pleased don’t ever leave! We will see you again very soon my friend ;-)

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Save your money

Well I tell you the resort and room we purchased was not the level we purchased . We purchased luxury amber green which changed after we already paid . It changed to grand Bahia principe aquamarine which that was fine if the luxury side of it was still there . No it wasn’t very disappointing. The service was terrible . The food was terrible and drinks were not at the level we expected . Our beach area was adult only but we were like sardine cans in one area . We had our own buffet area a [... read more]nd had to wait for clean plates a few times . My rice one night was hard because it had been siting there I’m sure for awhile . I could go on but I won’t . I was very disappointed.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Sun Getaway

My best friend and I spent a week at the Senator. Grounds: Very pretty, manicured. Great pools. Beach is also wonderful, but sand is grey and rough. It was enjoyable to lay by the pool when the entertainment was not in full swing. Once it got rowdy, we hit the beach (personal preference). Water so warm and clear! Employees are SUPER nice and welcoming. Absolutely no complaints. We stayed in a Jr suite which was very basic, but comfortable and always clean. Food is totally average. They do tr [... read more]y to appeal, but I think they would be more successful if they served local foods. We ate at the steak restaurant 3 times, and twice was delicious. Sushi restaurant is basically a bad version of Beni-Hana, but the staff is so friendly. Buffet always has something passable. Enjoyed the breakfasts very much. All mixed drinks and wines are not good, which I didn't think was possible. Overall, we had a wonderful relaxing week, but will try somewhere else in the future.

BelleVue Dominican Bay: VERY RELAXING AND ENJOYABLE WEEK

After deciding on a Last Minute vacation, our friends encouraged us to visit. I would recommend this resort to others. Most impressed with the overall staff which kept a high standard for us guests. Thanks especially to Rosa who changed our room for us. My only setback was the distance to the beach. I would like to recommend maybe a golf card, which would take especially seniors a part of the way. Hope to visit again.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: Very Good

I read lots of negative reviews about Casa Marina Reef, i thought I should check it out myself, and I am glad I did, we stayed in the renovated area, it was very nice the beds are comfortable, staff are amazing, our housekeeping (Anna) was amazing, Bell Boy (Ray) was very helpful, food was great we enjoyed all our a la Carte except the Mexican was not as good as the other, and also the International $ was AMAZING. Activities and Shows staff very professional. front desk very helpful. the only d [... read more]isappointment we had is the Beach, if you like to go for a walk on the beach that is not the place for you because it is a very small and very rough from the waves hitting the large Rocks. we enjoyed lounging by the pool but they lack some umbrellas, they only have 4 Umbrellas at Pool #2. I am glad I experienced the resort myself, I will go back again for sure.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Disappointing Grand Bahia vs Luxery Bahia Principe

TripCentral agent told us the Bahia Principe name is changing but it would still be the same......when you were told it’s a Luxery upfront and then find out only later that it isn’t Luxery at all. TripCentral did nothing to help us. We weren’t allowed to go to all of the a la carts, the security guy wouldn’t even lets us go to our friends room at Luxery Ambar....that’s crazy and we weren’t allowed at their pools either nor about to eat at the Beach Buffet with our friends. So don†[... read more]™t tell people next time it’s the same resort.....it isn’t .....we booked to an agent that never ever admitted it to us. Jessie and Maya ....only knew what they knew but again very disappointing. AquaMarine does have some positives....great pool....great rooms, maids are very slow and never brought any water or beer on the mini bar ....the bartenders in general are very slow and the alcohol was cheap and very sugary and sweet. Definitely not close as a Luxery. Luxery Ambar ....with the pool, the maids, the alcohol and the buffet and a la carts.....and talking to a few friends it definitely is a step up and then some.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Punta Cana

A nice, compact resort with lots of space at the beach. I was lucky enough to have won this trip and have never been to the Dominican before so was very excited to go after such a cold winter! The weather nice the whole time we were there - if it did rain, it wasn't for long - five mins at the most. 24-27 degrees and sunny every day. All the servers were fantastic and friendly and there was lots of food. I recommend the spa -- I had a massage and hydrotherapy circuit as well. Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Bon rapport qualité/prix!

Bon choix de resort ! La nourriture est très bonne et variée. Les restaurants à la carte Rodizio (brésilien), l'Indochine (asiatique) et le Trapiche (mexicain) sont excellents ! Les piscines sont nombreuses et entretenues. La végétation est superbe. Les chambres régulières pourraient être rafraîchies. Les marches sont un enjeu pour les personnes à mobilité réduite. Bon choix en général.

Playabachata Hotel: Love this place

Have been many times, always friendly and completely stress free. Beach is wonderful ,staff always available and helpful. Would really like ten day vacations to be offered. The two story villas are charming , painted in beautiful colours and surrounded by pretty well cared for gardens.The rooms are adequate but need a little modernizing ,even a couple of pictures would brighten the space.Lots of choices at meal times ,nicely presented. Playabachata Hotel: Very good resort.

Very good resort and grate grounds,beach everything clean. Good food in general some improvement and variety requires. Senator resort is a big improvement .The mature trees on the beach are wonderful is a grate place and spacious you don't have to fight for space.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Wonderful Resort

Hotel was very clean and staff was accommodating. If there was an issue they took care of it quickly. The French restaurant was amazing, although the Italian was a bit disappointing, it was good but was expecting better. The buffet was very good although almost the same items.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Fabulous Resort

We were at the Bahia Principe Bouganville in April 2019. We absolutely loved this resort. It's Beautiful, clean and well maintained. The landscapes are gorgeous with mature trees and beautiful plants and flowers, the beach was fantastic. They have a 5 star service and the food was amazing. We'll definitely go back.

Impressive Punta Cana: Impressive Resort & Spa

It was a wonderful resort good size wasn't to big grounds were very clean the employees all worked hard and for the most part aimed to please so our vacation was perfect. Food was surprisingly very good the lady who made the omelettes in the morning for breakfast made them very well everytime never failed to please. The employees worked hard,service was fair even when busy, the food was delicious, room was cleaned daily we tipped everyday and left a lil gift. Two negative with room was our view we didn't have one we overlooked the kitchen roof but we didn't use the balcony much anyways so with the curtains closed didn't bother us. Safe worked but had to be reset almost everyday we were there not sure if it was because of something we were doing or if it was broken but it did work would just lock us out but at least we knew our stuff was safe because nobody could get in unless the system was reset. Weather was great while we were there sunny everyday rained late one evening on the day before we left but no big deal the day was over and we needed a break from the sun anyways. Loved the swim up bar but the lobby bar made the best drinks. Our stay was excelente.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Amazing Resort

The food was amazing. Lobster, caviar, you name it they pretty much had it. Premium drinks for the level 1 adults only guests which we were. We where assigned a butler Omar He was amazing. The beach had seaweed they cleaned every day. Over all we would go back again.

Playabachata Hotel: Excellent resort, very happy about our experience ! We will go back !!

The hôtel is very clean, there is always someone cleaning, washing the floors...everywhere, in every corner, and the toilets, washrooms were kept cleaned at all time. Staff is welcoming and friendly. The beach is extra clean, a little wavy but very nice and warm and lots of chairs. We spent everyday laying in the sun. The buildings are very well maintained, very clean. We had a lock for the safe, which was appreciated, my wife had a hair dryer and we had a large closet.. Our bedroom had a bar, and it was always full of liquor, pop and water. The food was very good, lots of choices every meal, everyday. The A la Carte was not impressive, I went to different resorts before, and the A la Carte was a step higher in quality than the buffet, but not there;... we prefered the buffet. I am not a smoker so i thought it was hard to find a place where there was no smoke....

Excellence Punta Cana: Second time better than the first

I won't leave a long-winded review but will say that this was our second time going to this beautiful resort. We booked Excellence Club with private plunge pool and were in building 2. Our room was steps to the Excellence Club pool and we were super close to everything we needed or wanted. The beach is beautiful, yes there was some seaweed but the workers were out there raking it before anyone was usually up and it was well maintained. The water is a little rough and the riptide is definitel [... read more]y something to be cautious of. But we waded into the ocean and bobbed around for awhile and had a lot of fun. The restaurants were all amazing, the food was incredible and even more outstanding was the service. We wanted for absolutely nothing and have no negative thoughts on the resort at all. We will be back for a third visit in the near future!

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Good resort

Resort was pretty good, only thing I didn't like about it was that wifi was not available in the rooms. The food and the drinks were okay. Also the card keys were constantly malfunctioning so that was an annoyance.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Great Time

This resort is small and everything is very convenient to get to. Has 2 pools one quiet and one very active for those who dont like alot of noise. The food was awesome at the buffet and snack bars. Alacarts were good but found it not big enough meals. Rooms were clean and a good size. You can upgrade for more money but no need to as the rooms were same but you do get small pool to yourself and meals but not the variety you get at the buffet. Stay away from the fancy dressed guys at first they w [... read more]ant to sell you a membership which in my opinion is not worth it unless you are retired and travel alot. Not good for the once a year traveler. I would totally recommend this place and go back again.
