Ocean Maya Royale: Relaxing vacation

The staff were amazing expecial Margarita. And the food was okay at the buffet and extremely good at the a la cart restaurants. The drinks choices were good and the waiters were quick to serve you. Overall the resort was clean and welcoming.

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: Disappointed

The rooms were not in good shape, the food was good, service mediocre at best. Not much more to say, there are a few good people at the resort. Two members of our party had to move rooms because it rained and the rain came in their rooms.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Classy Resort with Exceptional Staff

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita is a great value for a super clean, classy resort with good food and exceptional staff. We were impressed with the incredible service levels, professionalism, and friendliness of the staff in all areas of the resort. Guests needs are tended to with a smile, and the resort and rooms are impeccably maintained by the maids and cleaning staff. Entertainment team was fun and worked very hard. Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Amazing Resort

This was a 5th time to Mexico, and this resort is tops. It is very large, but you don't feel crowded. It has something for everyone. The beach is fantastic, but the waves were very high when we were there. This is absolutely the cleanest resort we have been to. Rooms were spotless, and the grounds are amazing. The people are super friendly and we have to give a shoot out to Fanny. She was a server that put on a lot of miles running drinks back and forth for us at the pool.  [... read more]We went to the Steak House twice, but there was no availability at the Italian Restaurant in the entire 10 days we were there. The Steak House was excellent, but you can get Steak or Italian Food at any of the buffets every day, so we don`t feel we missed out at all. I would recommend this resort to any age group and from families with children to couples or singles. You won`t go wrong.

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: A great weeks stay!

Grounds, pools and area were fantastic. The coffee shop two doors down from our 41118 swim up room was perfect. I suspect that 41117 would be a nicer swim up room as it is isolated in the corner and gets great shade.. drawback being the loud noises from the cafe next door. Food options were somewhat limited compared to other resorts and some (Japanese) are only open certain days. All but the Japanese need no reservations at all.The food itself was excellent and Elena at the omelette statio [... read more]n was a superstar. Do watch some of the restaurants as some will forbid those with plastic flip flops. We only did the infinity pool with the swimup bar as we had our own pool.It was nice to hang over the edge and look at the ocean. For those who shop there is a OXXO right outside the front resort entrance and also a pharmacy. There is also a Mega shopping store nearby (groceries) and 10 minutes towards Puerto Vallarta there is a huge walmart. My only complaint is that no matter how busy the resort was, or on some days was not, there were NEVER enough staff and they all worked extra hard and had to run around.

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Amazing staff...outdated hotel

The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The resort is very dated...although clean. We were expecting more as other hotels in this chain are very upscale...this is a 3 star hotel with 5 star staff. Food...buffet and al a carte...was just ok...not hot...just warm. Location is good for walking g around the marina with the shops and bars...but far from anywhere else. Included golf comes with many fees...was cheaper to book on golf app.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: not 5-star

The public spaces in this resort, eg. the pool area, the beach area, all of the sitting areas and the restaurants, were always crowded. Service was inattentive, perhaps because it was so crowded. This resort is small and well-located and our room was very nice with a spectacular view of the ocean. The beach and ocean were beautiful. Despite being a new resort, some of the infrastructure was already in disrepair. The public washrooms were useless. The water flow to the toilets were so inadequate, [... read more] even toilet paper does not flush properly. There were two pools, one dedicated to "diamond club" and the other to the rest of the plebs. It was woefully small. It is not likely I will will be returning to this resort.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: charming and traditional,

this was my 3 rd visit in 17 years , absolutely nothing has changed , not that it needed change . All of the staff were fabulous , friendly and happy . Food was traditional Mexican with a nice option for an upgrade at no charge with the all inclusive pass .

Riu Flamingos: Not that great

The rooms are okay although we tried on three different occasions to get our safe unlocked (it was not able to be used from the get go) and never managed to get them to come to the room to fix it so we never had the use of the safe. We went with a party of 8 age ranges from 17 to 80. The very worst part was the pool although it says there's a kids pool don't be fooled both the pools are kids pools and there are a LOT of kids there in the pool with soggy diapers on, jumping and splashing when [... read more] you're just trying to relax. There's more kids at the swim up bar than adults and it's very hard to get up there to get a drink. There is no poolside drink service. The pool also feels gritty on the bottom and if you swim through the water you get hair caught in your fingers. The kids are everywhere when you try to have an adult game of volleyball the kids are swimming between your legs and all over the place. The food at the resort is pretty good especially the Italian restaurant, at the steak house don't order the top sirloin it's really tough but the food was good and it's nice not to have to make reservations. Most of the staff are not that friendly unless you jiggle your boobs in their face then it seems to be effective from what I saw. Overall I would definitely pass on this resort, I've stayed at other RIU properties and this one is by far the worst.

Moon Palace Cancun: Overall Good Experience Aside From...

Hotel staff, excellent, food... 8/10, Suit comfort: 6/10. After the short but taxing travel from Toronto to Cancun with our 1.5 year old, we were greeted pleasantly during our checkin. Unfortunately we had to wait 40 minutes outside our suit because our bracelet door locks didnt work. Turned out that the door somehow shut itself and the safety chain flipped into its slot?!.. After 40 minutes the door was finally opened. Once we did get into out suit, my side of the king bed felt like it dropped [... read more] into the floor below (exaggerated of course) but the springs were clearly worn out. We're not the type that like to complain, but having my 1.5 in a soiled diaper, family hangry, and the rain made the perfect storm. We asked if we can order room service from our bell man after we made it in, he said of course, download the app and or turn to our smart tv app. After he left we immediately looked into this and unfortunately NEITHER of them worked, so we patiently waited for dinner service. Lucky we had milk in a thermos for the little guy and some snacks in our backpacks. The rainbow/silver lining during all of this was after they investigated the situation, they offered my wife a spa treatment to melt some of her frustration away :) Happy wife, happy life we all say. We had arrived for a wedding, which was beautiful under the weather conditions we had. Would have been nice to have the childrens play/ water slide area open, but it wasn't. This was our little guys first 'sun' vacation experience, although we feel he had fun, but his experience could have been 10x more enjoyable we felt with further exciting memories & captured moments. We've been to two other Riu resorts, @ Dominican Republic & Jamaica, both were over the top phenomenal experiences. But Cancun Moon Palace Sunrise definitely fell below our expectations being a 5star restore. The last domino's to tip over were the batches of seaweed and diluted caribbean sea with sediment which no one stepped into. (As in, NO one was on the beach at all) Over all, disappointment would be an understatement for our first experience as a little family. Our lack of research on the part of the beach/ seaweed we take ownership of, but it would have been appreciated if Palace Resorts offered day pass or travel options to their sister resorts where enclosed or clear beaches were available. Cheers to safe travels to all, hope our experience will shed some highlights and checkpoints to tick off before you finalize your booking.

Riu Santa Fe: Mucho Fun!

This was our THIRD time staying at the Riu Santa Fe, and we know it won’t be our last. It really is like the adult version of Disney Land. Drinks and food all day, fun and sun. Not to mention the Vegas-like pool parties they throw 4x a week. They have something for everyone, relaxing areas and party areas and water slides! It’s always so hard to go home. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Wont be returning

Having been to this resort numerous times in the past years was very disappointed this time. Put in a room with no air conditioner working at all from the get go, and patio door not locking. Reported it the next day to our Transat rep at the info meeting and reported it to hotel. Day 2 reported it again to both parties. Day 3 days nothing fixed after being told it was and to return to our room to find nothing had been done. Back to front desk hours wasted hanging around for customer service to [... read more] deal with this after waiting 2 hours in the lobby in the evening eventually she came after we told the hotel no one had been to see us she said she had just been told. Lack of communication !!!! After she went to our room that night herself 11:30pm she told us to sleep in another room and issue would be resolved next day. Long story short it never was fixed and day 4 we got moved to another room sub standed to our ocean view room. After packing up stuff and moving rooms waiting for bell boys holiday started on day 5 thank god we had gone for 11 days. for A/C to break AFTER we have been in the room is one thing these things happen. BUT to actually put us in room with no air conditioning working from day one is not acceptable. And the hotel was not even full!

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Awesome resort

This resort is really great. Very well kept grounds, rooms are clean and in great repair. Food was also very good. Lots for kids to do and getting the use of four resorts for the price of one is fantastic. We will definitely go again.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Wonderful Vacation

We were very pleased with atmosphere and service at Sian Ka'an. Very clean resort and well organized. The deep blue pools are a beautiful contrast to the lush landscape. Quaint 3 storey buildings are close to the lobby as it is a smaller resort. Our suite had everything we needed including a la carte pillow service, aromatherapy brought to our room with room service included. We chose to walk down to the beach each morning which only took us about 20 minutes unless we stopped to shop at the Haci [... read more]enda before making our way down to the Tulum lobby. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would not rate this as a 5 star resort however we were very pleased with our stay and definitely recommend. It is a budget friendly resort compared to other adults only resorts and they aim to please. My only complaint is there was no fitness facility at Sian Ka'an. Going to Coba or Akumal for a morning workout was quite inconvenient.

The Fives Downtown Hotel: Best hotel I’ve seen !

This hotel was just amazing, from the beginning to the end of the week. The staff is super friendly, always smiling and amazing for recommendations as well. The food was delicious in all restaurants and cafe. What you see I like for the rooms, the pool, the hotel is really what you will get. Great experience :)

Las Palmas by the Sea: An amazingly down to earth all inclusive resort

Me and my friends stayed here last year and loved the down to earth style of Las Palmas by the Sea that we stayed here again this year. Unlike the overly sanitized atmosphere of other resorts, this one is nice and intimate to a point where all the workers get to know us personally by our first name as well as our individually desired favorite specialty drinks and special snacks. Their bar as well as main eating area and formal dinner restaurant is right at the beach so you can see and hear the  [... read more]waves crashing in at all times...amazingly special. Try it out, you won't be dissappointed.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: We'll be back... :)

This was our first visit to GP Vallarta and we want to return there again :) Food - great, tasty, fresh, wide selection. Burgers on the beach for lunch or dinner at El Dorado - everything was awesome. Mexican restaurant was our top pick. Compliments to the chef and the team of servers. Service with the smile every night! :) Activities - non stop action. There's so much to do for everyone. Spa, pools, bar's, beach, tennis, football etc. There's always something happening and everyone is welcome to join in. Try archery with Ali. And follow his instructions :) One last reminder. When packing your sunscreen and swimsuits - don't forget to bring some respect with you. Front desk, service staff, guy blowing leaves or a lady mopping walkways - everyone is working hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible and they deserve utmost respect.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Unforgettable

This was a true five star resort the hotel is amazing, so clean and organized. Food was incredible my 3 year old picky eater was well fed. The beach is white sand clear turquoise waters great for snorkeling. Activites from mini golf to bowling. Free dolphin shows daily at dolphinaris. Shopping mall and market on resort. INCREDIBLE and UNFORGETTABLE

Grand Oasis Cancun: Great all around

I absolutely loved the view from my room. No complaints about the staff either. Nothing is ever perfect but the great aspects vastly outweighs the minor hiccups encountered. Clean beautiful room, friendly staff and well maintained very beautiful resort with a great layout. Would visit again.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Nice clean resort lacking in some departments

The property is beautiful. Rooms, lobby, public washrooms and pool area are clean and inviting. The mosquitos are fast moving and hungry at this time of year so be prepared. We were disappointed that there was barely any shrimp, lobster or crab available. None in the buffet and only a few options at a la cartes for shrimp and they skimp out. Always got what we wanted at other 5 star but this one is lacking. Had to call 2 days to get mini bar service and to get our room service plates picked up a [... read more]s the raccoon like creatures will spread any leftovers all over the floors. A la cartes are nice and buffet has good variety.
