Ocean Blue and Sand: Amazing

Our trip to Ocean Blue and Sand was fantastic. Beautiful room in Building 10, gigantic pools, lots of restaurants to choose from, gorgeous beach, incredible staff and lots of options for activities around the resort in addition to entertainment. We splurged and went privilege which I highly recommend doing. The service and extras are fantastic and make your trip all the better. A great family resort with very caring staff.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Excellent Resort

This was an excellent resort and I would book here again. The grounds were really clean and well kept, the rooms were very nice with a large patio and also very clean. The guest staff were exceptional good especially Guillermo at guest services desk. When we first arrived our room only had a king bed a pull out couch and we requested two queen beds so Guillermo was great and switched our room the very next day to the ground floor pool view with two queen beds. Our luggage was moved with no probl [... read more]em by the staff and brought into our new room. The restaurants were superior and the food was excellent. There is only a few things that we would like to see changed is more entertainment with a updated agenda of entertainment events within the week you stay there that is provided to you once you check in and no towel cards were provided upon check in either as we had to ask. Check in time was too late in the day and there were no ashtrays in the room provided as you had to request that. The gift shops were very good but the staff kept changing the prices from what was marked on the shelf to when you got to the till the price increased especially one lady with long black hair it was like she was trying to make a profit off of everything you bought as she increased the price to what was marked. Need new staff in gift shops that don't rip you off and give you the price that is listed on the shelf. Awesome resort!!!

Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres: Recent visit to Oceans Allure Costa Mujeres

This resort is fairly new so maybe some kinks are still being worked out, however my biggest disappointment were the restaurants. Firstly the buffet was not available for dinner. The a la carte restaurants were very busy, causing wait times no matter what time you went there.Once inside the servers were run off their feet, to the point where they were unable to provide proper service to their customers. This made for an unenjoyable dining experience.Another point I want to make about the food is [... read more] the quality of the various dishes is very poor and the size of the portions is very small particularly the Tappenaki Restaurant, the was ridiculously small. Aside from that the grounds of the resort were tidy, however near the pool areas there were not enough washrooms.

The hotel needs to decide what it wants to be. It went from foam parties to an events coordinator screaming aggressively coming to the privilege pool screaming “wakey wakey” trying to get guests that are relaxing to come over to the main pool. It was so offensive. We paid over $8,000 to be there. We assumed at an adults only resort it would be more cultured. The hotel vibe was like a 3 star party hotel. The beach is not very good either. It’s shocking that it passed code. There are 3 large pools and no kidding, 3 bathrooms with 3 stalls in each. So that’s 9 toilet stalls for a hotel that occupies 600 guests. How is that sanitary? The food was somewhat hit and miss. Most of it was good quality but it was ruined by a horrible fake butter taste on everything. They use soya oil. That’s all I could taste in the food whether it was the mashed potatoes, baked good etc. They make a delicious lobster tail on top it with fake butter. What a waste! We booked a Master Oceanfront privilege suite. The top level. The butlers were useless. They didn’t get to know us at all. It was the basic daily text. Nothing personal about it. Just a blanket text of the hotels daily activities. Our room apparently because of its location took 15 minutes to get hot water. The room was clean and beautiful otherwise. And the worst part…. Is the pushing of timeshare. Disgusting. As soon as you come in they hand you over to someone who pretends they are there to make your experience better. They invite you to breakfast so that they can get you to listen to a 4 hour sales pitch to buy into their ridiculously overpriced timeshare scam. There were 4 Canadian couples that were fed a bunch of alcohol and then convinced to buy into the program. I ended up meeting them and they were so stressed about buying into the program. I informed them there was a 5 day cool off period. All of them then cancelled with clear minds. It was so disgusting I would NEVER recommend this resort. There are way better places to go to in the Cancún area for a much better price and service.

Ocean Coral Spring: Great Resort - Small but has everything

Our visit started off rocky when we paid for a Ocean view room and were asked to wait until after 3:00 to check in (totally fine) but once we got into the room it was overlooking a junkyard with the ocean in the back. The room itself had broken off doors and the safe did not work / locked our items inside. We left to go to dinner and speak with front desk about these issues and upon our return we noticed that our room had been turned down but the door was left open, leaving all our stuff vulnera [... read more]ble. After reporting to staff at the front desk again (who were incredibly hostile) we were told they would find us another room after we repeatedly asked to change, to any type of room. We just wanted to feel safe. They kept repeating they would change us the following day after rooms had been cleaned after check out. Instead, they called our room at 11:00PM when we were sleeping and told us the call was being recorded and that they had offered us a room and we were declining. I repeatedly told them we were not declining, but that we would move first thing in the morning as the other guests were asleep after a long day of travel. The next morning we went back to front desk and new staff were super kind and helpful and got us the promised room. We were able to move over. After that the trip went smoothly and we really enjoyed the resort, which is on the smaller side, and all it had to offer. Gorgeous place but our time was tainted but the initial check in day which was wasted just trying to get some help with the various issues with our room and staffs hostility.

Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres: Amazing Resort

What a beautiful resort. Well laid out, everything was easy to find. Loved the lazy river. Staff were very attentive and eager to help you. The food was great, loved that you didnt need reservations at all the restaurants. Just the steakhouse and the Japanese. So much to do if you wanted to ( cornhole, bowling, karaoke, nightly shows)

Ocean Maya Royale: Great Resort

My husband and I recently stayed at Ocean Maya Royale (March 2026). It's a lovely resort, clean, staff are exceptional, we could always get chairs whether by the pools or ocean and the food was really good. They were very cognizant of my nut and gluten allergy and I still had a lot of choices when it came to food. Drinks were made well and the entertainment staff were excellent. We had a lot of fun without feeling crowded or overwhelmed. Excellent value for the price.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Beautiful resort

Ocean El Faro has a very impressive main lobby and beautiful suites. The pools and lazy river are very good. However the food in the a la carte restaurants leaves a lot to be desired, e.g. I ordered apple tarte tatin in the Blue Moon and the seeds and core were still attached to the baked apple segment and the puff pastry was flat. Service is very slow overall but housekeeping was good. The beach is very rocky and there's always a red flag which is normal in this area. Ocean Blue and Sand: Different vibe - quieter, more relaxing

Resort was nice. Small compared with the big hotels. It looks more like a small village, with all the restaurants side by side, and the little shops, the building for indoor games (bowling, pool table, ping pong, board games etc ...). Beach area is nice too and you can swim without the need of water shoes. Service is very good, whether at the bar or main office. I will go there again. Now, for the not so good part (it's just me being picky). I would pick a different room location. We had a "g [... read more]arden view" and the only garden we got was some bushes, but the worst is it backed onto a service road. Pretty hard if you want a lazy morning in your room. Also, it seemed that our room was due for a pesticide control. We only learned about it when we were all unpacked. Better planning next time? Food is very decent at the buffet, with a large variety. Not very impressed with the specialty restaurants though. I also think think they can do a better job at the buffet to clean and set up the tables. .

Ocean Riviera Paradise: There Are Better Resorts

It's a small resort and for the waterpark, only children are allowed there. It's really nice and accommodating for children. If you want to book for a dinner, you better upgrade to privilege because it's hard to get a booking. It is done daily at 8:30AM but by the time you try to book it, it's either fully booked or it's really late. You get pulled into a timeshare and they make you feel really guilty about not getting it but luckily you have a 5 day grace period where you get your deposit back. [... read more] They say it will take 30 minutes but in reality, it takes 4-5 hours! Also the massage coupon is only for 20 minutes when they say it's for an hour! The massage is not even good! The food is decent; the buffet was the best restaurant. For the seafood restaurant, it is really disappointing and also the privilege dinner steak is awful. So upgrade to privilege for a day if you cannot book the steakhouse restaurant. Also, be aware that the restaurants are closed on random days.

It’s interesting there is no buffet option for dinner but we do like the option to get a beeper and sit in the lounge socializing till it goes off. For some reason the sports bar and bowling area were kept at freezing temperatures cold enough to need pants and sweaters? Our family stayed at Ocean Riviera Paradise from March 22–29, 2026. We traveled with our two young children (ages 5 and 2), so our experience was a bit different than adults traveling alone, particularly since our evenings tended to end early. Overall, we had a very positive stay. The staff throughout the resort were exceptionally friendly and helpful. No matter where we went, we were consistently greeted with smiles and kindness. The selection was impressive and seemed to change regularly from day to day, which kept meals interesting throughout the week. I would rate the buffet 10/10 for variety and about 9/10 for taste overall. One small improvement could be the availability of bowls and serving spoons during busy periods. These items were sometimes used up quickly, and it could take 5–10 minutes for them to be replenished. We also visited a couple of the à la carte restaurants. At the Italian restaurant, the service was again extremely friendly and welcoming. The menu was fairly standard for resort Italian dining, and the food we ordered was good overall — I would rate it about 8/10. We also dined once at the steakhouse. The menu offered a great variety, but I had slightly higher expectations for the ribeye steak. While it was still enjoyable, it didn’t quite meet what I was hoping for and I would rate it around 7/10. Unfortunately, during our stay our 2-year-old contracted Hand, foot, and mouth disease. I work in healthcare and know just how contagious this illness can be, especially in environments with many young children. I want to emphasize that I do not blame the resort or staff for this. In fact, we frequently observed staff cleaning throughout the resort. My wife and I were also extremely vigilant — disinfecting our room upon arrival, washing hands frequently, and wiping down high chairs, tables, and utensils at every meal. When you have a resort with this many families and children, illnesses like this can unfortunately happen anywhere. What stood out was how supportive the staff were once we informed them. They went out of their way to help by offering soft foods (off menu) that might be easier for our daughter to eat while she was uncomfortable. Their kindness during that situation meant a lot to us. Another point worth mentioning is the seaweed along the beachfront, something I had read about in other reviews before arriving. It is true that seaweed does accumulate. However, what also deserves recognition is the incredible effort of the beach cleanup crew. We repeatedly saw staff working extremely hard — shoveling seaweed into trailers and hauling it away with ATVs. It’s clearly very labor-intensive work, and they do it constantly because nature keeps bringing more in. Kudos to that team for the effort they put in every day. Personally, I’m not much of a beach person, so it didn’t affect my vacation much, but it’s something travelers should be aware of. Despite our daughter getting sick, we still had a great vacation overall. Our 5-year-old absolutely loved every minute of the trip and had an amazing time all week. In the end, we would definitely consider returning to this resort, whether traveling with our children again or as a couple.

This adult only resort was really very nice. Our stay here was great. The food was very good. Staff very helpful and friendly. Lots of activites if you wanted to do them. Met some great people. Beach had some sea weed but not that bad. Beach bar with swings very fun. Our swim up room was great. Very new and clean.

Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres: A beautiful part of Mexico

This is a new hotel. Nice wide open spaces, lots of outdoor space as well. Everyone was pleasant. Lots of staff. If you are looking for a quiet , smaller size resort, this is nice. If you are looking for a true privilege experience- there are lots of places in this price range with better services.

Ocean Coral Spring: Great Hitel!

Food, staff and grounds were fabulous. Rooms were clean. Anything we needed, staff were quick to provide or direct us to. The beach had some rocks and was small/shallow but still refreshing and beautiful. Information about the hotel I.e. maps, hours if restaurants/bars etc would’ve been more easy to access had they been in print as the app was often not working and/or difficult to maneuver.

The resort was wonderful. Very well kept grounds. Rooms were clean. Pool areas were great. Beach was spectacular. Ate at all the à la carte restaurants, fantastic meals and the buffet was also terrific. Entertainment was also very good. I’d definitely go back.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Give it a 4

The resort was beautiful, rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. However we were disappointed in the Adult only El Beso. Most services are on the family side so very little on adult side except for one restaurant, small lobby and one small snack bar under renovation. The Pool was great and the pool bars. Almost impossible to get bar staff attention from outside the pool. They advertise a juice bar on dry side of the pool but no one ever there. Information on activi [... read more]ties is very difficult and frustrating to find. We missed most because always found out after the activity had taken place. The party pool was very loud especially when our room was right behind the boom box. The balcony was beautiful but we could not enjoy any sitting or reading between 3 to 6 pm. Which would have been our time to relax after a full morning in the sun, pool and beach. So for adults who want a quiet afternoon, do not stay in building 11. The Piano bar in main lobby was a great surprise which we totally enjoyed. We were disappointed to learn that there were free shuttles available to other Ocean' hotels and gift shops. We only found out on our way back to airport. Only one shop on premises, limited choice and very expensive. The beach was only ok, mostly rocky so not inviting for swimming but to sit, watch and listen to the surf was therapeutic nonetheless. The A la Carte restaurants were a welcomed feature. We did enjoy our week and air Transat was great but I would not give this resort any more than a 4 star. There are many pros with having all services concentrated in one area but lots of cons too. One suggestion would be to add a coffee shop on the Adult side. There is only one coffee shop on the resort and there is a constant line up beginning before opening at 7AM. Definitely better communication re activities and not total reliability on QR codes. Not everyone is able to work this. Thank you. Hope my comments help improve this hotel for future. We would not return to this resort.

The hotel is beautiful clean the food is good no issues the pools were clean the entertainment there was lots happening every night The beach was small and rocky, but I was ok with as I am not a beach person

Resort fails miserably on check-in, loungers in shaded areas and staffing levels. There is so little shade that you must be prepared to get up at 0430 for a shaded spot (its really a curtain draped over the top of a wood frame).This trip was for our grandkids and for them it was fabulous. Great pool, great food variety and wonderful entertainment staff. Buffet is a nighttime feeding frenzy. They open at 630 which, is far too late for kids. That causes a stampede.
