Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: First time at a Wyndham Alltra Resort!

I can safely say I enjoyed the week here at this resort. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic and the value for dollars was about right! The location was perfect and felt safe even off the resort. Puerto Vallarta was a mere 455 pesos by taxi away where we spent a day exploring. The beach was long, walkable, soft sand, ocean was swimmable, whales providing a show as did a small delegation of baby turtles trying to get to the ocean after hatching! A very cool experience!

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana: Very clean resort

This resort was extremely clean. Never seen one bug which is surprising due to the extremely hot and humid climate. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. In particular Patricio from the Waves restaurant went out of his way to make sure our holiday was enjoyable. At the pool, the servers were very accomadating especially Solanji, she was always greeting us with a smile. The only complaint was the decaf coffee at the buffet was INSTANT COFFEE and since I cant drink caffeinated coffee, I had t [... read more]o drink water or juice. They need to brew decaf in the morning. We had to go to the lobby after eating to get a decaf coffee which was delicious but it would have been nice to drink coffee WITH breakfast. All in all it was a good holiday!

Dreams Rose Hall: Great Resort

The restaurants offered a great variety of food choices. The grounds were clean and the staff were fantastic. We particularly enjoyed the steel drum band and the Ragae music during the evening entertainment.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Bed bugs (according to the Dr)

First, we have stayed at this Hilton before and the front line staff (housekeeping, entertainment, groundskeeping, maintenance, service) are outstanding - always very friendly and helpful and the location is also excellent. Unfortunately we had a very poor experience. A few days into our stay I noticed a few bites on my lower legs, I didn't think anything of it and then a few more days went by with more bites and I decided to get some "after bite" thinking it was mosquito's or something. It p [... read more]rogressively got worse - By day 5 we were both getting bites and by days 6 we were covered by about 40 bites mostly on the lower legs and the itchiness was awful. During one of our walks we noticed a local 24hr Dr's office and decided to go have it looked at - we didnt say where we were staying or what we thought they were - without hesitation the Dr said Bed Bugs..we said are you sure, he said yes. When this was brought to managements attention (3 different managers), the first one immediately said we didn't follow their reporting protocol and even suggested we brought the bed bugs in our luggage, the other two were basically repeating the same response or saying nothing at all - there was no dialogue, they just listened and nodded (not sure why the second two even asked to speak to us). We tried to show each of them all the bites on our legs and they wouldn't even look....I showed the Dr's medical report, the prescriptions (Celestamine and Ivermectina) and the receipt for the Dr's visit. Not once did they even say we are sorry this happened or how can we help, it was all about not acknowledging the problem. We even offered to see their Dr and give them our luggage but they said no. They did switch our room (it was the last night) and when I asked if they were fumigating the room we stayed in they wouldn't answer except to say they are following protocol. I am not posting the pictures of the bites or Dr's report or Managers names but we have everything if anyone at the Hilton cares. We don't know if this is an isolated occurrence but to be so easily dismissed and actually blamed at what we believed was a very nice hotel is extremely disappointing. Fortunately there are many other options in the area to consider for our next visit. Good luck if you stay at the Hilton PDC

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Party Central

Great hotel if you don’t want ocean beach to lay on and are into social gatherings and like to party. Very nice staff, very clean and spacious junior suite room, food is average, but again, there was no ocean/beach front to lay on - you only have the pool. The advertising of this resort is a lie.

Dreams Rose Hall: Beautiful Vacation

Just got back from this resort, I had an awesome stay, staff were friendly, room was clean, food was decent. I’m very fussy with food, but I always found something to eat. Their dinner rolls were amazing….The grounds were kept tidy, the beach was kept tidy, a daunting job keeping up with the seaweed and garbage that comes ashore every night. I would go back tomorrow if I could. The only complaint I had was the evening entertainment was terrible.

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall: Great experience!

This resort is clean and comfortable. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are all very good. If you have a special occasion to celebrate be sure to tell them! They make those moments even more enjoyable.

Sunscape Cancun Resort and Spa: Good resort

It was a pretty good hotel. Food was great. The only improvement would be more adult quiet spaces and also more shaded beach chairs. Also, some better evening entertainment options would be nice. Perhaps have a little relief from kids.

Jewel Grande Resort and Spa: Awesome Vacation

We were very happy with our stay at the Jewel Grande Resort and Spa. The staff were amazing for our week there. The beach was kept very clean. The ocean was shallow in areas (nice for children).We were always able to get Palapas or loungers at any time. The pools were very nice and not crowded (no problem to get beach towels ). Bar service was the best. The steakhouse was amazing food. The 2 coffee shops on site were very good. Buffet for breakfast and lunch had lots of options and a great vie [... read more]w. Jerk chicken on the beach was awesome. Our room with patio was nice and roomy and mini bar stocked every day ( no hot water or towel issues) . The grounds were immaculate and very beautiful. There are lots of stairs. Thank you Louise Endean for getting it all together for us.

Seadust Cancun Beach Resort: Perfect for young families

We recently went on a week long trip to the SeaDust Family Resort. This resort was on a beautiful white sand beach (no seaweed or rocks - pristine). The rooms were nearly sound proof which was essential for travelling with a baby and toddler. There was a buffet that had decent food and options but the real star of this resort was the “Cactus” lounge which offered “healthy grab and go” foods as well as a self serve coffee/cappuccino bar that we could access 24/7, which again was very helpful when [... read more] travelling with young children who woke up very early. Another positive about this resort was its proximity to the airport (20 minute drive), again great for traveling with young kids. I’d say the con of this resort was the cold pool water and the often times very rough and dangerous ocean. For our week long stay the beach had red flags for the duration, marking a dangerous undertow. Overall, my family will certainly be returning to the resort!

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Nice but needs some work

The resort in general was clean. The staff were fantastic!! Drinks were always made fast and staff remembered you. Hotel in great location. Food choices were OK, always very hot and plentiful. Repetative throughout the week. I would say overall food was 6/10. A La carte were great but very very hard to get into. Always “booked” but empty when you went. Kids had no problem finding lots to eat. Issue was there was no snacks or restaurants open at different parts of day, no food or drinks near the [... read more] pool. No food at all brought outside the restaurant. Kids could have used some afternoon snacks. The rooms needed some TLC. Our glass shower door was hanging on by one loose screw, did not close and leaked our sink faucets were not attached and leaked as well. Towels were always minimal even pool towels were difficult to get some days. Staff very strict about kids playing in the pool even though it was empty. Not able to sit with feet in water and have a drink. Beach was nice. Busy and times but overall great for waves and some creatures.

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos: Great staff do your research before going

This resort has a lot of entertainment but no place to just quietly enjoy the beach. Constant and loud music all day everywhere. No swimming allowed at the beach so think carefully about what you are looking for. We booked an adult only experience - this resort certainly is not. Will never use Air Canada vacations again. They were not honest.

Sanctuary Cap Cana Luxury Collection Adults Resort: Vacation 2024

The hotel was nice overall. The food choices were okay. Probably wouldn’t get bored of the same things to eat if only there for one week and not two. Not allot of evening entertainment or activities that interested me.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Staff are awesome

The staff are super friendly cant do enough for you. Resort is clean and beautiful. Beach is rocky. Pools are big, however the swim up bar is small and out of the way of the main pool and unless you are renting a very expensive cabana it is very hard to find chairs when busy. Even though lack of swim up bar the servers are fast. entertainment team was very good, shows at night are lacking but good. Food is very good and so is room service. We had no hot water 3 days but they were quick to  [... read more]come and fix it. Proximity to 5th avenue was great. Although a nice hotel it is over priced for what is offered in my opinion and will not return, I prefer more jungle so this was a great change for what we wanted this time around. Overall I would say a 8 out of 10.

Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall: Pretty good resort

Beautiful inside the lobby at the Ziva. A little dated on the outside which was being scraped and painted while we were there. The grounds were being worked on also. I love that the landscape was natural. Our section of the Zilara was very dated and needed a little loving care. The room was very clean. Housekeeping was wonderful and the fridge was stocked and snacks provided every day. Most of the staff were friendly. Some didn't seem too happy to be working there. I would put this hotel as a 4, not a 5,just because it needs some tender loving care.

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Not worth the star

Minimum food selection all around and what’s worse is Only 1 restaurant open during lunch between 11-1pm. Room service usually takes 2 hours and house keeping is usually not done until 6-7pm. definitely not worth the stars

The Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen: Amazing resort

Graham, This resort is diff. from other all inclusive ones we've visited. It is more of a hotel with an outside pool on the last floor. But the food was varied and very delicious. The service and cleanliness impeccable. All 4 of us were pleased and had a great time. The only drawback was that even if we has access to the beach, chairs were not available to us unless we paid a $75 US per day fee. That was a bummer. The beach was very clean. Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: 19th Time

Great staff as always, reason we keep returning. Exceptionally clean throughout. Food better than before. Almost no beach now, Music at the pool is usually for 18-20 age group, very few there. Background music in the lobby bar is the same beat 24 seven? BIGGEST PROBLEM Outside pool bar hours 11am - 07pm only. Forced to be in the loud boom boom lobby bar at night with loud shows, drunk loud people. Have been lobbying for years to keep the pool bar open until 11 pm (like it used to be ) n [... read more]o such luck ??? Many people upset at that, most want to be outside on vacation not stuck inside with the afore mentioned situation. Will not return Will we return, probably, only because we have known a lot of the staff for 17 years.

The Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen: Très bel hôtel resort

Le service et le personnel sont exceptionnels. La courtoisie du personnel est exemplaire; on sent que l'on n'est pas seulement un client. La nourriture est très bonne. Bien que l'hôtel n'est pas situé sur la plage, l'accès est facile et n'est qu'à 5 minute de marche. Cependant, il est presque impossible d'obtenir une chaise et un parasol. Dreams Rose Hall: Not impressed

I would unfortunately not return to this hotel. Sunwing provided me with a room that faced a construction site, there were always five men outside of my balcony working so I did not get to use it comfortably. The bathroom was dated and did not even have a bathroom fan. The first day I entered the resort I was guilted into attending a meeting that took 3.5 hours away of my Vacation time. They were asking my family to invest 40k this week into the hotel. The food was hit or miss. There was garbage [... read more] and seaweed all over the sand of the beach area ( no one cleaned it, I saw the same garbage for the entire week) and the beach itself was filled with gross seaweed touching your legs and feet. They also have a sign suggesting people wear water shoes and they have sea urchins. Some areas of the hotel are freezing and yet I heard everyone say their air conditioning doesn’t work at night (including mine) Not sure what’s going on there. The accessibility rooms do not have a walk in shower you still need someone to lift you into a tub. There were pilllows randomly around the hotel due to leaks and paying an additional $40 usd to attend the three palms restaurant was not worth it and should have been included at no extra cost. On the bright side, the staff are wonderful. Simply amazing.
