Hotel Bella Costa: Awesome Time

Bella Costa is definitely doing work to improve the resort. The grounds are kept up and beautifully maintained. We were out in the Villas and our room was amazing. This was our 14th year there and we love it. The beach is amazing and the food is great. That’s all we care about is beach, room, drinks and food. That’s all you need.

Hotel Bella Costa: Great place for vacation

We have been there 7 times and love going every year. The rooms are clean and there is always lots of food to chose from. The beach is fabulous and there are lots of things to see and do while in Varadero. Our only disappointment this time was the hit and miss of the service in the restaurants. I would recommend anyone trying.

Breezes Bahamas: Great resort

Just got back from a fantastic holiday at Breezes. It was a short vacation but we enjoyed it thoroughly. We travelled with Sunwing. Unfortunately there is ALWAYS an issue with Sunwing flights and it was no different this time. We left 2 hours late because the fuel wasnt properly balanced. We were already at the runway 45 minutes late and about to take off when they happened to notice this!! Also they only had enough customs cards for about 2/3 of the passengers so the rest of us had to wait un [... read more]til we got off the flight, to find a table, borrow a pen etc. No apologies of course just it was the fuelers fault and its Bahamas fault. Once we arrived at the resort it was a very long wait to check in. Close to an hour. Even with these problems we were set for a great time and did just that. Lots of reviews say this resort is dated but we didnt find that at all. Service was good, food was great, the beach was beautiful and our room was nice. We would definitely go again!!

Hotel Bella Costa: Beautiful resort

We have been to this resort 3 times. À lot of upgrades where made and it looks great. Iberostar bought Bella Costa and the staff said it is better to work with the new owners. We love that resort because of the staff we know. Also it's not far from Varadero. On a scale of 10 this resort is a 7. There is still more work to be done but they are working on it. We love the atmosphere of the lobby bar. We love the Cuban music players that plays at the bar. We enjoy the Xaxaphone and guitar player t [... read more]hat plays at this resort. The food for us is great, no complaints. The beaches in Cuba are the best. We will go again to this resort for sure.

The hotel was great this year lots of changes, had a villa this year was very nice, the food was the biggest change great this year they even cooked a turkey what was very good looking forward to next year

Hotel Bella Costa: Lovely stay

This resort was really nice. A great location on the beach, good amenities, and the food was surprisingly good! Staff was really nice. Unfortunately they always ran out of mint for mojitos but the ones they did make were the best! The rooms itself were run down: ceiling caving in, bathtub had pain chipping, couldn't keep shower head standing up, water constantly running, soap was cheap and awful. Hotel Bella Costa: We love the staff here.

We were in the bungalo,s.Need a lot of repairs.Really nothing donne to them in all the years we have been going there.Patio doors in need of fixing,enamel peeling from bottom of tub,shower head bad shape.Owners are beginning to remodel hotel 5th floor is beautiful.So someday and a lot of work it will be really nice.We would still go back.Clean beds and the workers are very compassionate.They do their best with what they have to work with.

Hotel Bella Costa: Feels Like Home!

We felt like we were visiting family and they were doing everything they could to host us! Staff was always welcoming and polite. We loved the entertainment, the service and the food was fantastic! Can't wait to go back, will make it our "go to place!"

Breezes Bahamas: Amazing location

The hotel is old, but clean and well maintained. The beach is beautiful and that is only few minutes walk from the hotel. The Nassau downtown is a 10-15 min bus ride and buses are very frequent. That was our second time at Breezes and for sure we will go again.

Rooms on the Beach Negril: Great resort/location

Great location on 7 mile beach rooms kept fairly clean Since it’s not a all inclusive resort (only breakfast included) there are many restaurants to choose from on the beach or just a 10 min cab drive to the cliffs Food is amazing

This is my 3rd time at Rooms Negril. I will continue to go there annually but it does have a few minor issues that aren't even worth mentioning. Most importantly the wi-fi is an issue. It did not exist! So if this is important to you, you should keep this in mind. It was always going to be "fixed tomorrow". Other than that it is at a great location. But be forewarned, this is NOT a fancy all-inclusive. That is a different type of vacation. If you want to meet the people of Jamaica and taste the actual cuisine of the island and the wonderful restaurants in the west end then this is the place for you!

Breezes Bahamas: Nice resort

Comfortable resort located on Cable beach. The grounds are well kept and the rooms are comfortable. Specialty restaurants are very good. Beautiful beach. Resort is 10 minutes from Nassau accessible by the local bus that stops in front of the hotel.

As repeat visitors to the island (13 trips between us), we'll preface our comments that this is essentially a still-developing 2nd-3rd world country. First time visitors should check their first-world problems at the airport and manage their expectations properly- this is not the Bahamas or Turks & Caicos. The Cuban people are always friendly & eager to ensure you have a great stay. All restaurants, pools, bars and jacuzzis were in full operation and staff were as friendly as we'd remembered from our stay in 2015. Perhaps the renos are keeping potential guests away as we learned that the hotel was only 25% full (we suspected one wing was completely closed for renos). This had its benefits as the pool & beach loungers were always available, and even the poolside cabanas - no need to reserve spots before 8am! It also showed at the restaurants where waits weren't long and there was ample staff on hand to attend every need. Anaisibis (sp?), our usual waitress at the buffet was always smiling & eager to speak with our 4 yr-old son, as were the rest of the employees. **** Upon arrival we were greeted with smiles & efficiency (and cocktails) and had our room upgraded without even asking. Our 5th floor gardenview room was in the main hotel, and we were happy with the accommodations & housekeeping (thanks Ydira(?)). Afterall, we only sleep & shower there anyway. Gardenview, btw, is also the more quiet side of the hotel if you wish to avoid all-day pool music & any outdoor evening entertainment noise. **** Many people comment after visiting Cuba that they weren't impressed with the food. We've never been disappointed and Bella Costa is at or near the top of our list for food quality (right with the 5 & 6 stars we've stayed at). The morning omelettes were delicious. Sandro at the evening buffet pasta station is an entertainer & an artiste. We were almost disappointed we couldn't order from him when we dined at the à la carte restaurants. Italian fare at Martino's was excellent and the pork ribs, beef tournedos and chicken/shrimp brochettes at the International were outstanding! Desserts everywhere were tasty. There's always something good to eat wherever we were. The bars? Generous pours at all of them, and mohitos were almost always available. ***** Bella Costa has seen better years but Iberostar is investing in better maintenance, improvements & upgrades throughout to rejuvenate it. Rooms on the Beach Negril: Best Authentic Jamaican Breakfast Ever!!

Good value for money. The resort grounds are well kept and the room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Our greatest experience was having the most delicious authentic Jamaican Breakfast ever and we couldn’t leave without commending the chef who we met personally.

Hotel Bella Costa: Fun and friendly.

I thought the beaches were wonderful as were the people. The service was excellent and the authentic. Everyone aimed to make the experience a good one. They had challenges however. Food needs work. Service of bathrooms and upkeep of toilet paper is required, but easy to fix with better systems. Coffee needs to be better, but again an easy fix. Property is older, but charming in many ways. Breezes Bahamas: Wonderful and personable resort

The best part of the hotel was the entertainment committee, they made the hotel. They kept people active during the day with activities and into the night with entertainment on the stage. The hotel should be proud to have this wonderful group of young adults.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Great Family Friendly Resort

Beautiful Beach. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The resort does need some up dating but the rooms were clean. The water park was a huge hit with the kids. Not crowded - plenty of beach chairs. If you are looking for authentic Jamaican food, you'll need to go outside of the resort. Overall - if you are looking for small, accessible, affordable and family friendly resort, it's a great option.

Breezes Bahamas: Second Time's a charm!

We first went to Breezes in 2012 and loved it! We decided to go back Jan 19-26 and it was even better than the first time! The people are still amazing and the location couldn't be better. We really enjoyed the food at the restaurants. We tried all 3 and were very impressed, especially with the steak! If you go to Garden of Eden, make sure you get Adam's Loin for an appetizer, so good! They are an additional charge of $50/day but come with a beach butler who will bring you drinks and food all day long. G was amazing and made sure we never were without a drink, even bringing them before we asked. Brittney was also very good and attentive. The weather was a little cooler a couple of days so we brought our party to the hot tub and had a blast! Met so many great people from all over!! We went to the casino at the Baha Mar next store and it was amazing! Free drinks while gambling and they are very strong with high end liquor (the only downside of Breezes from the last time we went is the quality of the liquor). Even if you don't gamble, you should still go check out this hotel. It is beautiful, but very pricey :) The shuttles go back and forth from Breezes every 15 minutes. Would definitely go back to Breezes!

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Faded charms

No hot water for 3 days. Minimal toiletries and coffee in room. Rooms need updating. This is a resort that relies on its beach and waterpark and hopes its guests will ignore all else at the resort. Massive staff layoffs 2 months ago. Lots of new inexperienced staff. Menu avoids Jamaican dishes for international ones.

Personnel at the Hotel Bella Costa are amazing, at the Coffe Lobby, in the Kitchen, the Towel Boy, everybody nice.... The Rooms are very confortable.. I like the food, I ate Fish, Shrimp and Local Fruit everyday and I was very happy, the Beach is marvellous and the Ocean water was refreshing
