Iberostar Selections Parasio Maya

The Iberostar Selections Paraiso Maya is a 4.5-5 star resort. You will not be dissapointed. The Paraiso Maya is housed on the same property as four other Iberostar resorts. Guests of the Maya willchave full access to all amenities at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo, Iberostar Beach as well as the Iberostar Del Mar. Minimum style room at the Parasio Maya are considered Junior Suites, complete with 1 king bed (or 2 doubles) and a sitting area. Larger than than the double standard rooms of Parasio Maya. Food was excellent from buffets as well as al a carte restaurants. Guests of the Paraiso Maya will find a slightly higher end available at the Maya buffets vs the Lindo buffet. Items such as lobster, crab legs, and various other seafood available.

Awesome resort, great time

This was a good resort, clean, well maintained, friendly staff. The most amazing thing was the starcamp for kids activities and playground. It was at a high quality and joyful. Food was excellent and pools were great. The only thing that could be better is the shuttle bus service. It doesn't take you to the room but only to lobby (would be easier if you have to carry a sleeping kid (s)). That was minor though.

Amazing experience and resort!

We absolutely loved this resort! The rooms and beds were comfortable and clean, the set up of the resort was easy to navigate and there was so much to experience! The resort was beautiful but overall the pool and entertainment staff were our favourite parts. They kept us feeling welcomed, engaged and we loved the experiences in the pool all day! Highly recommend this resort.

Customer service is #1

My husband and I, as well as two other couples visited the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo from May 5-12. We have travelled to a good number of resorts in the last few years and were impressed by the level of customer service at the Lindo. The resort is beautiful and staff were always working hard to keep it that way. The rooms are lovely, grounds are immaculate and food was great. They have a very well staffed bar there and a snack shack that offers fresh burgers, hotdogs,french fries and nachos, as well as individually wrapped sandwiches, salads and fresh fruit. The only negative thing was the large amounts of seaweed in the water. This is something the resort has no control over but they worked endlessly to try to remove it from the beach. Lastly, a huge shout out to the concierges who are present in each building and work tirelessly to keep their customers happy. We would definitely return to this resort but would probably try to travel at a time when the seaweed was not present.

Great Resort

Pros: Beautiful resort, good food, comfortable clean rooms, family friendly, friendly staff, lots to do. Cons: Seaweed on the beach, smoking allowed everywhere We went beginning of May to avoid spring break crowds and enjoy less rainy weather. Our weather was fantastic. Windy weather most of the time caused us to not be able to do much snorkeling like we hoped, but kept us cool when visiting chichen Itza and while walking around the resort. The nightly shows were pretty good and the wave pool and lazy river and volleyball poolswith the other pools were very enjoyable. We enjoyed the variety of restaurants and buffets. Loved that they had tacos and crepes at the mall and fast food bar at the beaches open all day. A bit of a drive for most excursions, but all doable. We saw Chichen Itza, visited an underground river cave and cenote and sailed to isla mujeras. The only downside was the beach. It was full of seaweed so we were not able to swim in it all week. We tried the last day when seaweed was minimal but it got tangled in our hair and was tough to clean out.

Great week at the Iberostar Lindo

The Iberostar Lindo is the middle resort of five so it is a large complex with lots of walking from beach to lobby areas but not far too walk across resorts and there are lots of carts that will drive you back and forth. This was our second trip to an Iberostar and they did not disappoint with their customer service - they truly have this important aspect figured out! Other positive points include the beach bar and food stand right on the beach- they had the best burgers and fries and Johnny was a great bar tender as well as Julio. The Star Café made delicious cappuccinos and the food overall was very good. The main buffet was never crowded, the hostess was great and the breakfasts were amazing. We ate in the steakhouse twice, the Japanese and the Italian a la cartes. We were less impressed with the Brazilian restaurant that was at the Beach resort- that could be why, it was not the Lindo and we did notice a difference in quality of both food and drinks away from the Lindo. Humberto and Franco were part of the animation team that we met and the evening shows were quite entertaining. Our room was comfortable and clean, our housekeeper was efficient, creative and the fridge was always stocked. The Sports bar was a nice touch with lots of screens to watch hockey games and they had good wings. There is a shopping mall across the street but still on resort property that had lots of selection- we never left the resort. Although we didn't use it, the gym looked amazing and there was so much we could have done to keep busy. The grounds staff worked so hard even in the extreme heat. The only negative during our trip was the beach- there was so much seaweed. The resort did their best to keep it removed but this is something they cannot control- anything within their control was top notch, thankyou!

Great Resort!

This hotel is really great! Our room was very comfortable, great shower and all the amenities needed. Our housekeeping lady, Isabella, was great - our room was kept nice and clean and we always had towel animals to come back too left on the bed. Food was good and lots of selection. Loved the beach bar (Julio & Johny, best bartenders ever) and the snack bar on the beach was top notch. The grounds are nice and we liked that we had access to 2 other hotels, The Beach & Del Mar. We were not travelli [... read more]ng with children, but I would highly recommend the Lindo for families as there was such a great kids club. Things for teens to do also, including their own disco.

The Best Resort Ever!!!

This resort was absolutely amazing. From the food, to the pools, to the activities for kids. I have stayed at many resorts and by far this was the best value for your money. I traveled with my 5 year old grandson and there was so much for him to participate in that he was never bored. Truly amazing experience.

Amazing resort

Great vacation April 22-29/19 Resort was beautiful, clean and wonderful staff. Rooms were great spacious and comfy beds. Food was amazing! Beach fantastic. Pools were fantastic! Highly recommend this resort to others.

Very satisfied

Our family had a wonderful week at the Lindo resort, everything met or exceeded expectations. Rooms, Service, pools, beaches, food, bars, entertainment...all great. Sailing the Hobie Cats was an exceptionally fun experience, however there was an abundance of seaweed at the beach, despite the extensive efforts by staff to control it

Relaxing time

Great resort, nice pools and grounds, decent food. Rooms are dated but comfortable. Food options aplenty. Overall staff not as friendly as other nearby resorts we’ve stayed at however we would definitely recommend and return to the Iberostar.

Blundell-Docherty Family

We thought that the Resort for the most part was amazing. The food was great, and the service was fantastic. The only issues we had was there was not enough signage throughout Resorts to know where we were, and also we were told it was not permitted to hold chairs by placing towels on them, yet every day everyone did it and it made it tough to find chairs.

Great Resort - first time in Mexico

Hotel was beautiful and the grounds gorgeous and well kept. Our room was nice, king size bed and lots of room to put clothes and your belongings. The maids did a great job keeping on top of it. The beach was very nice but very windy every day, not that anyone can help Mother Nature. We did have fun playing in the waves. There is lots to do, we never got to it all. The other restaurants were really good, steak was awesome. Entertainment was good, magic show and the Broadway night. If you can make you way to the disco you should as it was a lot of fun. Great dance music. Did an excursion to Tulum ruins and Rio Secreto caves. Diego tour guide was very knowledgeable and a great guide. This was worth the money. All in all we would go back to this resort. The staff were great and worked very hard, they are overworked and the hotel should hire more to compensate... Also the drinks, especially at the beach, were not strong at all, it didn't taste like there was any liquor in them at all.

Positive Changes, Great Resort

We were in this resort a few years ago, it was great, so we decided to come back. This time I was amazed by the service, friendliness of the stuff, cleanness of the resort. Kids Club is new amazing add-on, kids don't want to leave it. Property is beautiful and well maintained. No tips begging make you want to leave tips. The only concern we had was seaweed, couple days were really out of control. They have equipment to remove it, but, I guess, it was just a season for those. Amazing resort

Lindo was very clean, the rooms were a wee bit dated however comfortable, no complaints about food, we visited three parts to Iberostar elegant properties, would highly recommend to families, many activities for all, pools clean, ocean a little rough only had a few days of ocean swimming however beach very clean, staff were most helpful, we hired the photographer at the lindos to take family portraits excellent however pricey photos,

Best vacation

We stayed here as a family of 9 in three different buildings the last week of March 2019. Everything exceeded my expectations. The staff were always smiling and willing/wanting to help you. Little things make a big impression. There is a door separating the bedroom area from the entry door &bathroom. What a fantastic idea. We had no complaints. Absolutely everything was spot on. In fact we are starting to plan our next stay which will be two weeks. Lindo Doesn't Disappoint

Fourth trip to IB Playa Paraiso, first three were to Beach, this trip we upgraded to Lindo - worth it? Yes Food is better at Buffet, Concierges in each building make booking ala cartes a snap. We booked 4 a la cartes but actually cancelled 2 of them. The buffet selection and quality was that good. The pool at the Beach is main attraction for us, and by staying at Lindo we have access to Beach property We'll go back for sure if the price is right.

Wonderful resort and amazing beach

We stayed at the Lindo last week. Room decor was a bit dated but very clean. We didnt spend much time in room anyways. Beds are very comfortable. Staff are all very helpful and extremely friendly. The entertainment group was fun and encouraged participation from our teenagers. We had the best stretch of the beach by far. Most other resorts have coral in front and are not suitable for swimming. They do a very good job at clearing the washed up seaweed each day to keep the beachfront clea [... read more]n. The water is clear and no coral for a long stretch so the swimming is great. Food was great with lots of variety. I would recommend this place for families with small children or teens.

Beautiful and perfect resort

Everything was amazing, the grounds were beautiful and the pools were salt water so great for the skin! Staff was so friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, I ate wayyy too much! There was tons of activities for me and my kids, plus the shows in the evenings were so much fun!

Fantastic Family Resort

This is a fantastic family resort. Friendly staff clean facilities, amazing food. There is so much to do on the resort that everyday there is something new to discover. Definitely reccomend for any family.
