Fantastic resort

Extremely clean and well maintained resort with very friendly and helpful staff. Located right on the ocean. Beautiful! Entertainment was very good. Pool activities were fun and entertaining. Would definitely recommend this resort for a beautiful relaxing and enjoyable vacation for all ages

Execellent Resort

The grounds were beautiful ,roomy accommodation, excellent foods, beautiful beach. The weather was very good except it could be warmer. The water (sea) is also on cool side and quite rough (compare to Cancun, or other Caribbean beaches ). We took a two towns and glass bottom boat ride ,8 hours trip and found there wasn’t much to see in the towns except the boat ride. In all the resort accommodations were excellent but Los Cabos itself is not an interesting place to visit.

Nice resort

We had to ask to have our room changed because we were overlooking a horse barn even though we paid extra for an ocean view room. Also, I think the resort should be more upfront about the amount of stairs and long distance it is to get to the dining or the pools.

Amazing resort

We loved the resort...it was impeccably kept. We had an ocean front room which was a suprise...they left us wine and chocolate covered strawberries and a towel bunny for our last night ..it was a nice touch .the service was awesome ....the a ka carts were just okay however...I would suggest going for the first sitting ....loved Krystal that was my favourite....my rating would be 9 out of 10 ...and I would definatly go back again!

Amazing resort.

Absolutely loved this resort. Amazing food. Never have had lobster offered in a buffet before. I really enjoyed the Indian restaurant available in the specialty restaurants. Fridge restocked daily with water, pop and beer plus a dispenser bar. Great maid service. Loved that we could visit the Rui Santa Fe and Rui Baha next door with our wrist bands. The only thing that could improve in my opinion is the entertainment. A little on the lame side. But otherwise worthy of a 5 star resort.

Wonderful resort !

Hotel was awesome, our third year in a row here and were going back next year again. we have been many places and at many resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico. This is our personal favorite. Resort is beautiful, staff are great, food is awesome for all inclusive.

As expect

The hotel is as expect ( similar to all other Riu Palace in all other place we stay), that is good. The buffet dinner is not as good as other Riu Palace ( limit supply) Staying at Riu Palace was suppose to able to use other such as Riu Santa Fe and Riu Palace Baja .It is easy to get to Santa Fe but not Baja. To get to Baja, need to walk through the beach. Also, friend of mine was staying at Baja, we invited them to join us for dinner and was turn down at the door. They can only use the buf [... read more]fet facility.! At the beach, they start to stack up beach chair at 2 p.m. A bit early.

Riu Palace, Los Cabos, Mexico - AMAZING RESORT

This resort is situated on the Pacific Ocean - (actually the Sea of Cortez) where it meets the Pacific Ocean at El Arco the famous rock. The weather was amazing - we stayed for two weeks Feb 28 - March 14th. The first week there wasn't a cloud in the sky, the second week only one day where it got windy in the afternoon. We saw a baby whale come to about 10 feet of shore then finally made it to safety. From our resort we saw El Arco, lots of cruise ships came in to dock, saw sea lions every day [... read more] and whales come close. The view was amazing. As for food - buffet in am had everything you wanted, crispy bacon, eggs any way you wanted them, croissants, cereal, potatoes, meat, cheese, etc. Lunch buffet - there were two of them, one was the Mexican restaurant where you could order off the menu or use the buffet, the other restaurant was a buffet. Dinner - there were 5 al la cartes - Japanese, Italian, International, Steakhouse, Indian. We had sirloin steak with lobster, beef tenderloin which was to die for, ossabucco, lobster, shrimp, mussels, crab and many types of meats. We ate so much. Rooms were good - faced ocean and pools. Bar lounge was huge and bartenders knew our orders after the first evening. Overall - we were totally satisfied with this resort and will be going back again. We have been to several other Riu resorts (Costa Rica, Aruba, DR, Jamaica etc) but this by far has been THE BEST ONE YET. Everyone was so friendly, the staff and other people at the resort as visitors made our stay unique.

Beautiful Resort

Excellent, friendly and attentive staff. Great pool areas with a wide range of activities. Large rooms that are well maintained and clean. Variety of dining areas with a wide choice of foods to suit any tastes.

Baja California

We recently vacationed at the Riu Palace hotel in Cabo San Lucas on the Sea of Cortez. This was our 4th stay at this hotel so we know what to expect. Our ocean view room was amazing, particularly at night with view of the town all lit up & from the harbouring cruise ships. Service is always great around the pool side, buffet restaurants & pool side barbecue. Great selection of food from their Krystal, Bombay, Japanese & Italian restaurants. The breakfast buffet was always great with selecti [... read more]on from the omelette bars, pancakes, fruits, cheese & deli bar. We were only disappointed with the night time buffet. The 1st night they offered lobster tails & other sea food choices. After that it seemed to go a little down hill. For example, one evening the crabs legs were still frozen. After that we opted for the a la carte restaurant with great choices on their menus. One of the particular reasons we enjoy this region is the consistent warm dry weather, we we find very comfortable for walking on the beach. One note if you go there. Swimming is limited in the ocean due to undertow currents. There are sections away from the hotel that you can swim in at any time. And of course the proximity of the town, which is very friendly & safe and is easily walked to by way of the beach. In the end we would go there again!

Good last minute spot

sunwing was great with arranging transport to and from the airport. The food overall was great (the steak house had too many of us returning our steaks as they were tough and not cook right but all else was good). The RIU beside us was very noisy and because our room was on that side we were kept awake a few nights. Staff were fantastic and the complex was kept spotless. Too bad you can't swim in the ocean out front but it is only a 20 minute walk to a beach that you can swim at. Ok, not the best

Grounds beautiful, food ok a la Cartes suck nice views noisy rooms no tubs need more bathrooms near pools. Liquor dispenser hard to reach, no fans in bathrooms. Enjoyed the Santa February pool better palace pools too salty.

Awesome resort with spectacular views ,staff, food and pools.

This resort was wonderful , the views from our balcony and most of the restaurants and bars were spectacular,looking out on The Arch ,lovers beach and whale watching were just amazing. We found a great selection of food which was always good ( seafood,meats, vegetables,gluten free,and desserts to die for) . The staff were very helpful and friendly everywhere, the bar service great and Top shelf liquor available upon request. Our rooms were very clean and service was great , I did miss the person [... read more]al touch of towel animals from other resorts we had stayed at ,but not something to complain about. The gardens and landscaping was breath taking . My only recommendation for someone thinking about coming is bring paper straws if you like frozen blended drinks ( resort is gone eco friendly,which I think is great) and bring your own tea if you like orange pekoe . As for Sunwing ,staff were helpful but we did experience a major delay and had to be rerouted because of weather( plane didn’t have food,liquor or dutyfree items available) I would have thought Sunwing would have tried to compensate us better. All in all it was a great vacation, Judy was extremely helpful booking our trip and next year we will be calling on her again.

Amazing first time experience at Riu Palace Los Cobas, Mexico

We can’t tell you how wonderful our first experience was at this resort, we have booked through Judy Donaldson three times for other destinations with friends of ours from Ontario, we live in Manitoba....totally an amazing experience co-ordinating our travel accommodation and recommending resorts/ destinations We had amazing Sunwing experience, the resort was top notch, amazing rooms, all inclusive amenities were top notch, staff, cleanliness, welcoming experience, activities were amazing. January 2018 Rui Palace

Juat got back from a week at the Rui Palace. Resort was super clean and all staff were very friendly and helpfull. Buffet was as good as I have had. I travel 2 - 3 times a year. A la Carte resturants were average. Lunch bbq shack was excellent. Solid 5 star resort

Amazing resort!

This resort has the best of everything! You want to chill, party, do excursions, you have it all at your fingertips! 3 resorts are tied together, my recommendation is to stay at the Riu Palace and you’ll have access to the other 2 (Baja and SantaFe). The palace is super clean, elegant, staff is friendly, room service is around the clock, fridge is always refilled (especially w water), food variety is amazing compared to other resorts. We’re definitely going back!!! ;)

Another fantastic RIU resort! !

The resort was beautiful, the food and drinks were great and plentiful. Hotel, grounds, rooms, pools, bathrooms, common areas etc. were always well maintained. The staff were welcoming and a pleasure to spend time with. RIU does it again!!!!!

An Excellent resort

This has been our fourth visit, which reflects how much we enjoy it. Extremely well managed property with friendly staff and spotlessly clean and tidy. Excellent food with good variety and selection for all meals and in-between.

Great Resort

The resort was more than what I expected. Very fancy, clean. Good food, lots of options at any time of the day. The rooms were clean. The view of the beach was nice and you can see it from almost anywhere in the resort for example; lobby, restaurants, room, pools. No complaints. Would go back to the same resort if the price is right.

Some costly omissions by sunwing.

The grounds are immaculate and kept exceptionally clean. We had a suite with an ocean view and a patio....made us feel welcome every time we walked into our room. The public areas including the pools are 5 star and are maintained all day. Bar service and poolside service was the best we have had in a long time. Our room was kept nice but some days the cleaning service came very late to clean our room...after 5 pm two or three days. After being out all day it was not a treat waiting in the h [... read more]allway for the cleaning service to finish (After 5 ). When we purchased our tickets we were told we would get a voucher book with 440.usd worth of coupons to be used for various things at the hotel including excursions and spas etc. When we asked sunwing rep for our voucher book it was like talking to a wall. He knew nothing about it and did not even give is the courtesy of checking with other reps. Before we left for our trip we called tripcentral and asked especially about the coupon book and they told us we would get it when we checked in. Didn't happen. We paid extra for the elite plus category. It was suppose to include priority boarding. It was chaos at the airport when they announced the boarding so the priority boarding we paid for was lost. The elite plus package was a loss and will not buy it again.
