Top Notch Resort

The hotel itself is beautiful and reminds one of an upscale cruise ship. The surrounding property is so well laid out and fabulous looking that we were constantly commenting about it day after day. The staff at this resort makes a stay truly special. They are friendly, courteous, cheerful and so very helpful everywhere you go on the property. We found the quality and variety of the food to be top notch, from the specialty restaurants to the buffet. We had roast duck and lamb for lunch one day [... read more], in the buffet, as an example. We prefer an oceanfront room and the superior ocean front suite did not disappoint. My wife loves looking out on the ocean from the comfort of her own balcony. As experienced travellers we can not imagine a hotel providing a better overall experience than the Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso.

Top resort

Vast, superb and well taken care-of grounds (seen some wildlife, too!), low density, clean, very relaxed environment and really attentive service staff. No stampede-feeling to eating areas, beach, pools, etc., you get in most resorts - low density in guest numbers: large grounds, plenty of eating space, a wide beach with good sand. Wonderful staff and restaurants

This is the adults only Iberostar hotel in this resort It was a great hotel in its time but since we started staying there it has got "tired" and is showing its age. The staff are very attentive and the choice and quality of food is A1 but there are areas where maintainence is clearly required We had internal room problems which we identified to management every morning and nothing was fixed for the whole week

Amazing Resort

Not happy re: booking the dinners in the evening.. I go to book the first day and they tell me they are full to come back.. came back to desk 3 to 4 times! I did not know that people where booking them on line and when you went to eat the place was not full I don' t get it

Still as good as ever.

the Iberostar Grand prides itself on customer service. the areas are always kept clean with staff constantly looking for things out of place. after 12 years and the salty air takes its toll on the infrastructure so in parts the hotel needs some work which is in the works. A new menu in the specialty restaurants has changed things up a bit but they are all top quality with a fine selection of food and wine. YOU WILL WANT FOR NOTHING!!

We have been travelling to Mexico for over 20 years and have never stayed at any resort twice,last year we stayed at a very high end location just up the highway from this resort and had thought we would not find a better Resort, but the Iberostar Grand Paraiso has changed our minds. From the moment we arrived we were taking care of beyond our expectations, the staff is fantastic, from the grounds crew to the desk managers, your comfort and enjoyment is really a very important issue for them. [... read more] The food at the buffet is unreal, you do not need to eat at the restaurants. Lobster tails, steaks crab and everything else you can imagine are available daily at the buffets. This resort has made us rethink our never stay at a resort twice thinking, we would go back here without a thought. it is not the cheapest vacation we have ever had, but you will not regret staying here, so treat yourself and have the vacation that you will not soon forget. Best Ever Vacation

Having raved about our last trip to the Iberostar Grand Paraiso in Nov./2014 to everyone who would listen, we were worried it would not satisfy our memories, but low & behold it not only met our expectation, it far surpassed them. Our room (oceanfront superior) was large,airy, extremely well kept, with a great view. The staff, if possible was even friendlier & more accommodating than last visit, from room maid to butler to concierge to all bar & food staff. We are thinking of trying the Grand in the Punta Cana in the spring but hope to be back in Mexico next fall.

Worth every penny

My wife and I have been to many all inclusives but this one takes the cake. We upgraded to beachfront and it was worth every penny. Example when we hung our baiting suits out to dry on the balcony the phone promptly rang. It was the butler asking if he could have our suits dry cleaned for us. These guys pay attention to the details. From everyone remembering your name somehow to the complimentary sunscreen incase you forgot yours they have every angle covered. Seriously good eats. Different every day and room service will even bring you pasta at 3 am. Could keep going on but everyone should experience this level of luxury at least once. A+++

Amazing resort and service!

Beautiful, clean, well maintained grounds and facilities. Our room was large and lovely, we upgraded to the ocean view room and it was fabulous. Food was good with lots of variety (even for myself with food allergies - they made sure I was taken care of!), and the a la carte restaurants were fabulous. Staff were friendly and responsive. We will definitely be returning!

AMAZING RESORT

Amazing resort! Over the top service, great food, great rooms! We have been to many many other resorts in the Mayan Riviera area and this by far is the best! The proximity to playa is great - 20 minutes or so and close to lots of activities. There is always a staff member asking if you need something.

Paradise!

I have high expectations of a five star and hope I get what I pay for. This resort gets a 10 on everything. It was paradise. Resort layout amazing, limited walking, everything nice and close without it feeling small. Golf great! Ocean front rooms, breathtaking, just steps away from a spectacular beach. The rooms were cleaned within a couple of hours of leaving it in the morning. Food, fabulous. I cannot say enough about every employee we encountered. They were engaging, informative, forward thi [... read more]nking and almost all spoke English. Most of the employees had a College certificate in Tourism, which is apparently a prerequisite to work there. The towel girl noticed that my mother had difficulty walking in the sand to the beach chairs. The next day the towels were waiting for us on the chairs closest to the walk way. Thanks Yuri! I got a cold towards the end of our vacation and the beach butler/bartender "Luis" made me a hot toddy with lemon and honey. I did not ask for it, he just handed it to me. They are really able to get to know you as it is a very intimate setting. I could go on and on but I think you get it. This place is the epitome of perfection. We will be returning next year.

Attention to detail.

We stayed here from April 8th to the 15th. A stunning resort, outstanding quality, extremely friendly staff and top quality food and alcohol. What more can we say. When you can have grilled lobster and filet mignon for lunch, you are in heaven.

Beautiful

What a lovely resort. 5 star all the way....the decor, the pool, the food. The staff were the friendliest and best trained I have come across. The beach was magnificent and the water warm. Our room was beautiful,we fell asleep each night to the sound of the waves.

Outstanding Resort

This was one of the best holidays that we have ever had. From check in to check out, it was amazing........our ocean front room with a king size bed was perfect, the food at every meal was outstanding, I had lobster almost every day, the beach and the waves we will never forget, the service was wonderful. I went for a walk every day, and felt safe and loved seeing all the different parts of all three resorts. The staff were all so friendly, alwalys a smile for us. Great property

This was the first all-inclusive trip that we have done in the past 5 years, wow what a intro back into the all inclusive scene. The hotel is small compared to that other properties in the area. Every detail was exceptional, food, service, beach and pool. Will definitely be back to this property .

Another Grand Stay at a Grand

This is our third Grand. The other two were Grand Bavaro and Grand Rose Hall. This one is just as nice as the other two. The food was better here, but the 'cool' salt water pool was a bit of a drawback. This does not mean we did not enjoy ourselves, but just wanted to note it. We were there for ten days in February 2015, and I wish I was back there now. The beach is beautiful, food was good, the staff were first rate. Can't wait till next year.

Great Resort

We really enjoyed the Grand Iberostar Paraiso. The food, location, staff and shows were all excellent. Victor in the Italian Restaurant was very understanding of my dietary needs and Michael was great at being interactive with everyone around the pool and at the lobby bar.

Amazing Resort!

This resort is all about service. They go above and beyond from the moment you get there. Our room was nice but did not have much of a view. On day 5 they offered us a ocean front room for the remainder of our stay at no extra cost which was inceredible. We ate at all of the a la cartes and the food was really good. The alcohol is all top of the line stuff and most beer is served in the bottle. The butler service was a nice touch and the concierge is always available to assist with ANY questions [... read more]. The beach is amazing but we spent the majority of our time around the pool. Wi-Fi is strong around the entire hotel. Weather was great all week. Highlights: The golf course is amazing and included with your stay at the Grand. Only cost is club rental. It is also all-inclusive on the course which was great. The spa pool is amazing and there is also a great fitness centre and decongestant steam room which was really nice. A big thanks to all the staff including Fanni and Charley who I enjoyed talking with. The ENTERTAINMENT staff do a amazing job all day trying to keep everyone involved in the activities. If you are asked to fill out a review card make sure you give these guys the best score as possible as they deserve it.

No kids...friendly hard work staff... Clean hotel a bit noise coming through the rooms from hall ways Spa way too expensive!!! You need a ten package 7 too short and 14 too long!! Change up the evening shows tried of the same!! Show a new release movie!

Trip of a Lifetime!

First of all this hotel, staff and surrounding landscape exceeds anything we have ever seen and we have travelled everywhere in the world and never have we been so delighted with the attention staff paid to us when we were there. The food was superb and each chef willing to prepare whatever we requested. It is truly a spectacular place to unwind and get the king/queen treatment. Go for it and you will unwind in fantastic style.
