Beautiful and relaxing resort!

The resort has everything you need to start your vacation: including great restaurants with an outstanding service, beautiful beaches, cool rooms and much more. We came here twice and we were very happy and pleased with the services, amazing crew and well maintained resort. Happy to come back again!

Barcelo Maya Palace

This resort was amazing and ticked off all our boxes. The food was amazing, wine was good, resort was very clean and staff were amazing and friendly. The beach was something to be seen. Our room was great and kept very clean, rain shower was nice. Looking forward to returning to this resort.

A great place BUT

Firstly, I’d like to say, this place has great food, well manicured grounds, overall beautiful rooms, good beds, and good air-conditioning. The beach is a little rocky and compared to other beaches. I would give it a 7 out of 10. BUT my main complaint is the inability to get chairs or lounges to sit around the pool or the beach. The problem is there are signs that say “do not reserve seats” but no one enforces it. If you look across the pool you see lots of lounge chairs but NOBODY is sitting [... read more] in any of them. They were all occupied by a book, a shoe, a floaty, a towel etc. At the beach we saw chairs that were reserved and nobody showed up until after lunch. If they are going to have signs outlining a no reserving chair policy, someone has to be there in the morning to enforce it and stop people. My only other minor complaint was the drinks. The Margaritas and any of the mixed drinks were so sweet that you could barely drink them. The orange juice is not really orange juice, it’s Tang or some made up orange mixture. Make sure you ask or specify what alcohol brand or type you want in your drink or you get some generic type of alcohol instead

Beautiful property!!

We had a fantastic stay at the Palace. Some of the best food we've ever had in Mexico, and the staff were supper friendly and accommodating. Jesus in the Caribe a la carte went above and beyond both nights we ate there. Our friend has severe food allergies and Jesus made sure he vetted the menu and made the kitchen aware. Nice pools and beach area, the kid's zone was amazing! They do need to do something about the pool/beach chair issue though! Some chairs were reserved for hours with no one using them! We personally watched 4 chairs with no one in them for 7 hours!.

Wonderful resort

We had an amazing vacation at the Barcelo Maya Palace with our group of 6 (ages 7-75). The resort had lots to do, the beach was lovely (but bring water shoes for the coral!), the food was always delicious. Our only complaint was the shows didn't start until 9:30 pm so it was too late for our children to stay up after a fun day in the sun. Best Resort to Stay

Barcelo Maya Palace was an unforgettable place. The staff, didn’t matter where you were or what you were asking for, staff was there to help at all times of the day. The food was amazing. We dinned out 3 restaurants, visited most of the buffets. All were clean, well maintained and food was excellent. The pools are the greatest I have ever seen. Especially the pool side bars. Awesome Resort

This older resort boasts beautiful manicured landscaping, lots of shade with mature palm trees. A great selection at the buffet and 5 star a la cartes; beef Wellington and filet mignon cooked to perfection. With the additional resorts there was plenty of walking and exploring the many facilities on site including dolphinarium, mall, casino, the option to travel the resort by double decker buses are also available. Rocky beach on Palace side but better spots further down the beach.

Bring comfy shoes and a wad of cash

The resort was beautiful and clean. The staff were always around cleaning up empty cups and trash. The beach was less than pleasant. There were either large toe crushing boulders, or sharp gravel pits at most entry points into the ocean. The buffets were mostly good, but there definitely could be more variety. I found that there was a lack of energy and there could be more activities and engagement for the visitors.

A truly amazing and memorable vacation. Beach, pool, staff, amenities, services and an unlimited supply of amazing food, from start to finish this resort is a 5 out of 5. Families or couples looking to get away, would highly recommend this resort.

Amazing Resort!

My room was cleaned well, bed made, linens changed during my week’s stay, towels always fresh. The services were impeccable, the artwork beautiful, the buffet variety of foods and cuisines mouth watering. The restaurant, Caribe was my favorite! The beach and pool area kept clean and beautiful view of the clear blue waters. I hope to return again soon.

Barcelo Maya Palace

This is a resort that lives up to it's 5 star rating. The Grounds, Rooms, Pools and Beach were all first class. The Food was the best I have ever had at an All Inclusive Resort. The 3 Specialty restaurants had great food and service. The Buffet for breakfast and Lunch, usually gets old fast. Not this one, such a huge selection and both my wife and I remarked that we had enough choices to change it up everyday. Thanks to Jessica B in guest services who explained it to me and provided the letter. Huge resort great for walking and felt completely safe.

Review about Barcelo Maya Palace

This was the first time we booked vacation through trip central, very happy with the service from Beth & Manuela, thank you. The resort is beautiful, huge but very clean, the staff are really nice, helpful. Foods from buffets are tasty & lots of varieties. Room is clean but a little bit dated. Beach with white sands, no seaweeds, so amazing. Overall such a nice vacation so relaxed & happy. We recommend this resort.

Amazing resort!

Check-in was smoth and efficient, Restaurants were all excellent Staff were happy and friendly, the property was clean and well maintained. Ample amount of lounge chairs at the pool and the beach. Pools are large and clean. Rooms have lots of storage. Beds are firm. Huge resort with 2 double decker busses come every 15-20mins. Lots of activities available on site. Lots of coral and fish at the beach,

Wonderful large resort

The resort is gigantic and very well kept with great customer service. Check in was a little time consuming for us and we had to wait 4 hours to get our two rooms but staff was nice about our original request to get adjacent rooms. I loved the beach and the constant breeze there. The size of the resort also helped me easily hit 10K steps each day and we liked some of the a la Carter restaurants even though it was stupid only being able to book one reservation each day. Amazing Resort

My husband and family and I just came back from a holiday at the Barcelo Rivera Maya and it was extremely enjoyable. We stayed at the Barcelo Palace and it was wonderful. From the food to the hotel room to the many helpful pleasant staff. Front desk is the only complaint. It is very slow to check in and putting wrist bands on. Disappointing

We were a family of 6 travelling to BARCELO Mayan Palace. Your Agent suggested we upgrade to The Palace as it would be well worth it. Last year we stayed at The Colonial. Anyway, our rooms were lovely and spacious although the food was absolutely horrible. Poor selection, some stale food like the Truos and flies sitting on some of the fruit. Service was really bad. We had to pile our plates up as they weren't taken away quickly. The Restaurant barely had anyone in them. So much do that Staff we [... read more]re standing together with no people to wait on. We decided to try the Colonial.Restaurant that was so good last year. Again, poor everything. The ice cream in all places was runny and more like liquid. To he honest, we were so ready to come home and get some good HOT food!! We will not go back again and disappointed we had been encouraged to book this property

Barcelo Riviera Maya resort the greates

I was very satisfy with the hall trip, flights were on time without any issues. The resort Barcelo Maya Palace was amazing, more than what I expected. Since I was at the Palace, I was able to visit the other Barcelo hotels in the resort, they all were great, though I believe the food buffet option at the Palace was the best. The beach access was good, really enjoy swimming in the ocean, I even got to see a turtle while in the water. Saw the dolphins in the resort and went snorkeling on the reef [... read more]s right at the hotel beach site. Room was beautiful and staff were all very friendly, accessible and polite. I did enjoy all their pool activities, I was doing aquaerobics and Zumba almost every day. I went to the different theater options in the resort. And was able to find nice souvenirs at the Mexican plaza and their retail store. One night I went to the disco and we did enjoy the Latin music in there. All was an amazing and safe trip.

Amazing resort cant wait to go back!

My stay at this was hotel was great, rooms are clean, ac works great, food was good, amenities were great! The pool was always a fun time, clean and tidy washrooms and areas of sitting. Easy to get around on foot or via bus from each part of the resort. All in all a good stay will stay here again in future.
