Beautiful

Every thing was very nice but they need a full length mirror in the rooms it was hard getting ready for a wedding not knowing what you looked like.The grounds were very well keeped up. The beach was beautiful all but the seaweed but they were working very hard to keep it cleaned up you could walk for miles on it and we walked every day . I didn’t care for the people begging you to come to there shop to buy all the time.

Great Resort!

This resort was very clean and service was impeccable Beach was cleaned up from sea grass every morning Al a cart restaurants didn’t require reservations and was very fast service Suggest security to keep beach vendors from coming up to guests on beach and constantly harassing to buy product

Family Vacation 2018

My family of 4 stayed in a preferred unit with a Tropical view for a week. Unfortunately we had to call about problems with the suite 5 out of the 7 days. Problems with the bathroom glass door, lights not working, refrigerator not working. The room was not well lit. I think they must use 40-Watt bulbs. The maid service was irregular. She would arrive between 5-6 pm. Right when everyone was getting ready for dinner. Some nights we had turn down service, some nights not. Towels were scarce. On [... read more] a positive note, the room was nice and quiet. There was never any hallway or adjoining room noise. The balcony with plunge pool was great. It was relaxing. The food was disappointing. We are a vegetarian family and the options for us were minimal at the restaurants. Restaurants only offered 1 veg appetizer and 1 veg entree. For example, at the Mexican restaurant, we ordered the veggie fajitas. This consisted of grilled sliced carrots and zucchini with 2 small tortillas. Needless to say we were all still starving when we left. We ate most at the Carnival buffet as it had to the most vegetarian options, and thankfully they had different themes each night. The new Italian restaurant at Now Garden was also very good. Fruit and salad options were limited, and often flies were hanging around the salad bars. The concierge services were very nice. Miguel was fantastic. He took very good care of us all week. He frequently checked in with us while on the beach or at the pool. Helped us make reservations and accommodated a late checkout for us. The preferred benefits of the extra 2 pools, beach area and lounge were all quite nice. The beach at Now Larimar was very nice. The sand was great and you could walk as far as you like. Kayaking was enjoyed by the kids. It was too rough to snorkel. If you wanted a place on the beach you needed to get up early to reserve a spot. The excursion vendors and the shopping mall salesman could be a bit harassing. They visit you every 10 minutes, fortunately by the end of the week they stopped bothering us. There was not a lot of entertainment options for my 12 year old; but my 8 year old met some same age peers and enjoyed the kids club area a couple of times. Elise at the spa provided a fantastic massage. Highly recommend the massage!

Great resort!

Did not purchase Preferred Club so access to only one pool but it had great activities throughout the day given by an awesome entertainment team and even special shows in the afternoon such as a very entertaining and funny synchronized show. One buffet that was good with lots of variety and the five a la carte restaurants were very good. Japanese and French were our favourites. The nightly outside shows were the best we have seen in all the resorts we have made. So cold you don't want to stay in those areas. Very clean resort and rooms but mildew smell in room. Would need to install dehumidifier. Nonetheless, would return and recommend this resort.

Worst vacation ever

I did not have high expectations when booking this trip, I just wanted a beach, pool, and to relax with a drink. Somehow, I was still dissappointed. This resort is poorly maintained, the food inedible and staff unhelpful. It was a complete waste of my vacation days and money.

Awesome

Great service, awesome people. Smaller resort which was nice so you could walk everywhere instead of wait for a trolley. All restaurants located at the front with coffee shop and casino. Great nightly entertainment as well.

Great resort

Very impressive clean well maintained grounds.Rooms very adequate and housekeeping up to snuff.Restaurants clean,food good and most noticable excellent staff interactions.Would definitely recommend.😁🌴

Been here twice and will be returning

This hotel is great we were upgraded for free to pool view room for being a returning traveller . We opted to pay another $300 upon arrival to upgrade to preferred . The front desk told us if we return again the room and preferred upgrade will be free . We were located in room 1156 . Outside our door was our private check-in/out as well as our own private preferred bar with all premium drinks . Pools were very clean . Beach was well maintained and spacious . Wonderful vacation

Having never been to the Dominican Republic before, we initially found this resort to be a little tired and in need of some TLC. Having said that, after taking some long leisurely strolls down the beautiful beach, we found it to be one of the nicest in the area. Restaurants on site were a bit hit-and-miss. The French restaurant was amazing, food and service. The Hibachi Grill was well worth having to get a reservation for. The Mexican restaurant was also very good and the main buffet offered a large assortment of amazing foods. We only ate breakfast there. Everything was within a short stroll of our room including the beach which I can't say enough about it. We did notice on our many walks that the beach at this resort was absolutely one of the best as far as size and huts providing shade. We upgraded to preferred status and took advantage of the excellent beach bar service as well as Castaways Restaurant/Bar. It was very well located to the beach and pool areas. Weather was perfect which was a real bonus!

Amazing resort!

Resort was perfect - beautiful landscaping, pools and beach were great. Rooms and all public areas were impeccably clean. Food was excellent and all service was good. The entertainment staff were really enthusiastic and great fun. Would not hesitate to return there and recommend to friends.

Perfect family vacation

Beautiful grounds, gorgeous beach, great food, friendly and helpful staff. Very accommodating staff. They came quickly to fix the phone and safe. We added Preferred Club level and made trip extra special. We had room closer to beach and access to preferred club pool and lounge. Staff accommodating with food allergies.

Disappointed

This hotel was a disappointment from the Now Jade Mexico. The food was cold at best and all meat dishes were unable to chew. Our room on the 3rd floor bedding smelt musty all the time. The staff was just average.

Excelent stay

We just got back from our vacation. We stayed in Now Larimar.- Punta Cana. The resort is excellent. Very well kept grounds, nice rooms, excellent food. Now Larimar has the best entertainment crew of all. Every evening there was a different show. Overall, good experience. The only thing that we did not like is staff pushing you to get into their preferred members club. I understand business but I'm on vacation and if I say "no" that means "no". I don't want to be pushed and coupons given, if  [... read more]I promise to spend 1/2 day listening to their lectures.

Amazing Resort

Este hotel está muy bueno, tiene un exelente servicio, y todo esta muy limpio, sus trabajadores tienen un excelente trato y son muy amables y agradables,siempre complaciendo a los clientes, la comida exquisita, realmente mi familia y yo la pasamos increíble, estamos muy felices y agradecidos con todos los trabajadores de este lugar, que hicieron de nuestras vacaciones, un momento inolvidables !

Excellent Staff - Small and Quaint Resort

Our family has been to Punta Cana on several occasions and this is our first time at the Now Larimar. The resort is small and quaint which worked out well as we have a 12 year old son who was able to venture out on his own a bit. The staff are excellent and very friendly. The rooms and amenities are well kept and always clean. The food needs some work however, the buffet in particular is not stellar. Great getaway on Bavaro Beach

Smaller, comfortable resort for Punta Cana. Shuttle is 30 mins from airport, check in/out no issues. Direct on a very wide and long stretch of Bavaro which makes those who enjoy long walks a pleasure. Rooms were nice, beds are very comfortable (our room had 1 king), fridge is restocked each day. Hotel staff are some of the most pleasant we have encountered; always smiling and willing to assist. Grounds are well kept and clean. A la carte restaurants offered something for everyone's tastes and do [... read more] not require a reservation which is a big bonus (only need to reserve the Japanese Tepanyaki at Spice. Our only issues were the house wine which is not very good (premium brands offered from $30-100US) and beach towels had to be out in a cabana by 7:30 am or you are out of luck for shade. Didn't use the pool areas often, we're beach bums.

Amazing Resort!

We love the Now Larimar! This was our second stay at this hotel (Mar 4-11). The staff were so friendly and very helpful. We were upgraded to preferred as it was our second time and they had a fruit platter and bottle of champagne for us. A banner on the door "Welcome back" and since my birthday was during our stay they added another banner "Happy Birthday" with balloons on the door and in our room with an amazing chocolate cake!!! Especially Sexy Chocolate!! (hee hee!!) he was our favorite. The one thing that we did not care for was the Unlimited Vacations presentation. They say it's only 90 mins and then if you are not interested no problem. The entice you to attend with a free massage and gifts. However it lasts 3hrs!! They don't tell you at the start how much the unlimited vacations will cost you. They save that til the end...and it's expensive. They ask for a $5000 downpayment and want you to put it on your visa cause it gives you more priviliges. It's not worth it!!!! My husband was so annoyed that we got sucked in. The hotel should step in and limit this. This was the only fault we found with the hotel. The free gifts are not worth the trouble and you still have to pay something!!

Really good resort!

Food was top notch at a la carte restaurants. Entertainment team was excellent - sexy chocolate was always happy. We loved the entertainment bucks to use at the auction. The only negative was that management did not accommodate or give any options for our teen to stay at the kids club with the rest of our kids group. She would have to had stayed by herself at the unsupervised sports bar when the adults wanted to have a meal by themselves. We didn't allow this to put a damper on our vacation.

Outstanding Vacation spot!

I visited Now Larimar from Dec 28/16 to Jan 4/17 with my two children, sister and brother-in-law. This was our first time here and we loved every aspect of the holiday! The facilities were clean and very well-maintained. The staff all were so friendly and helpful. It was apparent that the staff wanted us to enjoy our stay and everyone appeared genuinely happy to be there. The activities and entertainment were amazing. The food was exceptional always. Wonderful Resort

First off one negative thing was, Air Canada & Trip Central did not have have us registered for our arrival time to the The Resort. There was nothing showing that we were arriving on November 26,2016. We physically had to show them all our documentation to prove we belonged there, have never had this happen ever. We had to fill out paperwork and then were told not to leave the courtyard/lobby area until they worked this out. After speaking to 3 different people at the Conceirge Desk we finally got our room after almost 6 hours of waiting which was about 5:45pm we were taken to our room. This was a huge inconvenience as I am handicap and and can't stand or sit around for long periods of time. We know issues happen but we had booked this trip many months before hand. This is the soul responsibility of Air Canada/Trip Central to make sure that they have booked you in on the proper dates, we are still terribly upset over this issue we lost 1/2 day of our vacation because of this. Other than that there is not a bad word to say about this Resort, everything was accessible. Plenty of food, drinks, all areas are clean and tidy. Staff is amazing and so helpful. 2nd time visiting this resort in 6 years and yes things have changed but we found some of our old friends which was amazing, we just wanted to thank Henry, Luis, Luis and Ana for making our stay that much better, everyone is so accommodating, friendly and go that extra little bit to make sure your ok. The Entertainment Staff were just great we had so much fun, Big Poppa you put a huge smile on our faces everyday and kept everyone in shape with your aerobics LOL.
