New name " club Lost my business "

The food was barely edible , we ate out at restaurants for most part of our stay . Hotel does not provide water you have to purchase bottled water from the gift shop ( if it's available ) Beaches are fantastic however most of the chairs are broken. Most staff were friendly , except the tip hungry bar tenders . Drinks were crap ! Poor condition on pools very dirty. Room cleaning services was top notch .

Better than you are expecting

The hotel is small but that makes it somewhat more intimate and welcoming. The food is as good as or better than most other resorts even with higher star ratings. The beach is stunning and the staff A+

Great Resort

You could't get any closer to the beach. Rooms were clean with A/C. Bed was firm along with the pillows. Staff were amazing. Bartenders were able to comply to any order so long as the ingredients were available.

Enjoyable!

A smaller resort set in the middle of town right on the beach. Not like today's monolithic Giants this hotel is quaint but offers decent food rooms and drinks without the long line ups. By midweek u will know all the friendly staff and most of the guests if u want to or stay anonymous. It's your choice. Got to see a pod of four dolphins for about 10 mins hunting and jumping right from the bar. Rooms are clean and beds are acceptable. There are a lot of French Canadians there. Great for the price!

Hotel grounds kept very nice, room extremely clean, small resort everything very accessible! The rooms to book are the poolside rooms! Food was ok at resort however lots of great places to eat within walking distance if you don't like the buffet choices! Ocean.......beautiful!

Great resort-if you get the right veiw.

great Location.downtown Verradero. staff was helpfull. the food was just okay.there is an amazing beach balcony veiw if you are able to get it.the room was big.kayaks.paddleboats.vollyball. some games.

Wonderful hotel

Hotel Los delfines is right smack downtown varadero and walking distance to most clubs and markets. The beach is pristine and there's no resort right next to it so you feel like you have the beach for yourself. The food was a bit redundant but there are numerous restaurants outside of the hotel that you could from for cheap. The hotel staff were nice but tipping is needed if you want quick service. It's a smaller hotel and seem to have an older (40 and up) clientele mostly from Quebec and Italy.

Not too bad

My only probleme with this hotel is the rooms in the ground floor. The hall is very dark. The rooms need to be renovated and cleaned. Because I saw mold all over the wall. Im not talking about fancy stuff, just the minimum for a 3 *** hotel. Otherwise, the upper rooms are correct. The place is interesting too.

Great weather and beach (30 June to 7 July).

The location of "Club Los Delfines" is perfect for us. It's near the beach, bus, bank, restaurant, market, etc.. The rooms are not perfect, as it need some repair but we can live with it. If you can, ask for room on the third floor (# 200 and up) at arrival cause room on the first floor may have some ant, mosquito, mold, bad smell, etc.. For us, I have to ask to change our room (#116) cause there're so many mosquito. In our situation, there was no room available on the same day, we have to wa [... read more]it to the next day to have our room changed (I spend 3h to kill over 30 mosquito that nigh). For the food and drink, there is only one cafeteria and 2 bars (one open 24h). The foods are not the best (to salty or flat) but for the price, we can survive with it. Side note, there're a lot of fly in the cafeteria (from 30 June to 7 July), this is sad cause sometime it make us lost our appetite and mood. The service is ok over all. Side note, your traveling agent can always step in to help you out (he is there only 1h each day in the morning). The currency used is CUC (Cuban Convertible Peso), the best rate is at the bank. You can exchange your $$$ at the Bank (best rate), airport and hotel. Before the trip don't forget to check the current rate, so you don't get over-cross. Over all, if you're going for the beach & price. This is the one for you.

Great little hotel perfectly situated

The hotel is perfectly situated downtown few steps from the beach. Many restaurants stores and activities around. My room was big and super comfortable, AC worked perfectly, hot water everyday. Staff very nice. Pool great.The food, well it's Cuba, but I found something good everyday. There is a terrace on the beach for eating outside, amazing! Comfortable resort, good value

Rooms and grounds were kept very clean. What I liked most is that you do not have to walk far to get anywhere at Los Delfines. Just a few steps and you were right on the beach, even from the rooms furthest away. The beach was wide, sandy and clean. What more could you ask for?

Cozy and friendly resort

The resort is small which I like. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Its right in the middle of town which I prefer, do not like being up in the peninsula on a resort all day. I like being able to walk around and go to different restaurants or just looking around. The staff are exceptional, bar staff great. I have been there 8 times and plan to keep going back. They are like my family now.

Great Location

The hotel is right in town so it is easy to walk anywhere. It was different from our usual jaunt to a resort where you are somewhat isolated and stuck on the resort for the duration of your stay unless you take excursions. Here you can walk off the resort and you are in town where there is lots to see and clubs, shops and restaurants you can go to. We took a horse and buggy ride which was fun (10 CUC half hour). The buggy driver gave us some good tips on places to eat. Because so many of the guests are out and about, the lines at the bars and buffet are mostly nonexistent (April). We had the basic room on the third floor (nice view). The room was small but met our needs. The room was clean and the maid did a good job. It appeared to be newly renovated with fresh paint and tile. The balcony was only about 2 ' by 3'. If you want a room with a larger balcony with chairs etc. let them know when you book. They have them, depends on what building you stay in. The food was ok - about what one would expect for a three star resort in Cuba. The a-la-cart restaurant was very good. It is not easy to get booked in, so see to that as soon as possible. The beach was nice. Cool, white sand that goes way out in the water. No rock or coral. Water was comfortable temp in April. It was windy most days so there were waves and the non-motorized water sports were not running most days. The only criticism I have is the lack of shade. They have too few palapas at the beach and shade for about six at the pool. People have to drop their towels on chairs very early in the morning to try to reserve chairs with shade. Some are putting their towels there late at night. There were arguments over this practice between guests. It shouldn't be necessary. They could put more palapas's up at the beach, and umbrellas at the pool. Overall it was a good week.

CLUB LOS DELFINES - AMAZING RESORT

Returned to Club Los Delfines, Varadero, March 31st, 2017 for one week; pleasantly surprised with lots of upgrades and refreshing in the premises; as always, the staff is so helpful and wonderful; food was good, and I can say, notwithstanding it's a 3.5 star, there was lots of variety and fresh food, no complaints whatsoever. It is what it is...

We've stayed at the Delfines several times over the years. For us, it's like another home. Yes there are some issues with the hotel - not all of the rooms are "nice" or in the greatest repair. And the food...well, not great though there was some improvement this time. Breakfast is always good. And you can usually find something at lunch and dinner. If not...get out of the hotel and eat somewhere at the private restaurants that abound in Varadero and are within easy walking distance. We like the hotel because it's downtown, and not out in the tourist zone which is at best an isolated area far removed from any Cuban realities. If you want a sparkling sanitized hotel...Delfines is not for you. If you want a happening disco and raving night life - Delfines is not for you. This is a hotel that is probably best suited to people who are at their time of life where they want somewhere relatively quiet. A hotel for people who are less worried about perfect accommodations and more interested in being able to get out and explore Cuba - outside of the usual tourist offerings. As for food: If you want gourmet experiences, go to France, not Cuba. Or, go find a good private restaurant...there are more and more around - but remember, as you do at home- you'll have to pay for good food and service.

Nice small family resort

Hotel is in the middle of everything,right on the beautiful beach which is clean and one can enjoy miles of walking. We have been in the old building with some minor issues which were solved easy. Staff was very friendly and on hand so you can feel like a family.We find that it was plenty if food but it was luke warm and repetitive but that is 3 star hotel and we have been there five times and will go again.

Saskatoon

Breads were not fresh Desserts were not good except ice cream. All week same desserts. Salads were not good. Fresh food was good but lots of time it was not fresh. Papaya was great. Were disappointed about food first room we had was dirty then we moved to different room it was clean but beds were very bad. Not comfortable at all. Staff was friendly.

Basic resort - no frills

When we first arrived I felt like crying. I knew that our friends would be coming to the same resort and arriving two hours after we did. (Arriving from a different location). I felt horrible about the resort that I had picked. We were initially put into the small old rooms by the ocean. After 3 nights we were able to get better rooms by the pool. We went to the a-la-carte one night and the food was amazing!!! We were so thankful for a good meal. At the end of the week - I think that I would be safe to say that we all had a good week in spite of things. However, I do not have a desire to go back. What I did find very interesting was that lots of people return to this hotel over and over again. So - apparently lost of people like this place. Some pros are that the pool is quiet ( the loud music is at the beach). There is a snack bar by the pool that always served pizza - which was good. Two days they also had French fries. This was a treat!! And for breakfast and lunch you could enjoy your meal while looking over the ocean. The place needs some maintenance!!! And a new paint job. This place has huge potential! It could be a wonderful place with just a little TLC.

Club Los Delfines

Hotel was clean. The staff in general were ok. My chamber maid was very good. The food selection was the same everyday.and was never hot. The hotel allowed everyone acess to the beach area which created no seating for the guest of the hotel. The beach chairs were in very bad condition. I will not be returning.

Great experience

The hotel is old and it is not perfect. But the wonderful staff make the experience memorable. Beautiful beach, great location. Food on par with any other Cuban resort. I have visited twice and will return
