Amazing Resort

The staff are amazing!! Great food and you will never get bored of the food, so much variety. Room Service was always 20min wait, not bad at all, considering they would always say 30-45mins. Beach activities were always fun.

We had a great time , all staff were so nice and helpful . The rooms were very nice.liked the way everyone made us feel. We were at home their.We will be back some day.Thank you.It was nice to have pillow options. Made our sleeps complete.

Elegant Resort....some areas lacking.

We stayed at the Grand from January 13 to 23, 2016 . Resort was beautiful but all areas relating to meals and food was sadly lacking. Gluten free options were pitiful and any mention of food allergies were not well received. Reservations for the restaurants were also badly managed. We were told there were no reservations left yet restaurants were half empty? Service was slow as they seemed short staffed. We did enjoy all other aspects of the resort.

Good resort

Hotel and grounds 5, buffet restaurant selection 5, quality 4, service 3, fruits unripe at 50% of the time. Female severs, no women no smile. A la carte restaurant service 5, quality 4. Beach area crowded not enough shade, or beach chairs, water bit murky 2, "beach center" 2 old broken, and ripped windsurfers and 3 catamarans with ripped sails I would give it a 1. Entertainment 2. I would recommend this hotel to a friend, but not for this price.

Lower then other iberostar grand

compare to grand paradisus at mayan riviera where stayed three times before there is a big difference. not as clean not as friendly and the facilities are better at paradisus. beside we expected a better room as returning guest I don't think we are going back to rose hall.for us the cleanliness of the utencils plates and glasses in the buffet restorant was a big negative!

Best vacation ever!

My first thought upon seeing the grounds, my room, the beach and the restaurants was that even the "professional photos" didn't do the Iberostar Grand Hotel Rose Hall justice. It was even more beautiful in person than in the photos, and to me that is very refreshing, not to mention amazing. I felt pampered for my entire stay, the staff was incredible and very eager to make your vacation perfect. The food, whether it be the buffets or the restaurants, exceeded my expectations, every meal was incredible and the variety was outstanding, as was the staff at each restaurant. The entertainment and activities were enjoyable and the Star Cast who provided it had a tremendous amount of energy and were very talented individuals who never failed in their attempts to amuse and make the vacation unforgettable. Special thanks to Thunder and Bubbles who provided so much great entertainment. The waitresses around the pool and beach were awesome and never let your glass get empty! Special thanks to Jodian who took great care of me in this respect, it was a pleasure to see her everyday and have a quick chat. The Iberostar Grand made you feel like "part of the family". I hope to return again sometime.

Beautiful Resort, Wonderful Staff

We chose ths resort as we hadn't been on a sun vacation in 7 years and wanted this to be a memorable experience. We wanted a 5 star vacation and we got it. Everything from the food to the beautiful room, the grounds, the pools and the staff far exceeded our expectations. The room service food was delicious and we ordered room service a few nights as we were too tired to go to the buffet. We never waited longer than 40 minutes. All of the food at the buffet was delicious and there was always alot to choose from. The Italian a la carte restaurant served delicious food and we had a nice quiet meal there with excellent service. We spent our days either at the pool or on the beach. The waitresses were always there and we never really had to get up to go get a drink. The service was impeccable. We saw 4 or 5 of the 7 shows and they were all quite entertaining. Our favourite was the 70's themed disco show. The singing and dancing were all very professional. Our maid called us by name. The butler was extremely helpful and Bubbles taught us how to play dominos in the piano lounge while we had one rainy morning....by the way, it cleared up quickly and we spent the rest of the day outside by the pool. The only thing that I even hesitate to mention was the fact that our ceiling fan on our balcony, wasn't in working order. We never called the staff to mention it as it didn't really seem all that important. We loved sitting on the balcony in the morning and in the evening. The week flew by much too quickly. We were treated royally the entire time and were very sad to leave. We would go back in a heartbeat. Lovely staff, beautiful resort, gorgeous rooms, almost perfect weather.

Disappointed

I've stayed at this resort many times in the past but the experience I experienced this time was not of my liking or my fellow travelers. The food was undercooked, cold and not to standard. Most of new staff (which consist of most the workers) weren't friendly at all. I wish I remembered the names of the ones who made my stay worth being there. I was really disappointed because I thought I knew the place well and I'd be comfortable but I wasn't and I do not plan on going back. I believe this cha [... read more]nge is due to new management. Great Resort

This is one of the best resorts we have visited. The layout of the hotel is excellent as are the rooms, but what made the difference for us was the service and the food in most of the restaurants. The only somewhat disappointing food was at the Japanese and Jamaican restaurants. The staff has obviously been hand picked, they were attentive, knowledgeable, and had a sense of humour. Wonderful trip - BEST staff!

We enjoyed the facility...our room was wonderful!! The meals were good. The staff were EXCELLENT...everyone seemed to enjoy their work and made us feel special! We definitely could do without the " butler " progamme. We had many different butlers during the week - most of whom were unable to help. Overall a wonderful experience!

Really great resort

Excellent food, very friendly and attentive staff, nice beach front and lost of poolside activities for those who want it. Restaurants are individually unique with their own style and fabulous presentation of meals. You can not go wrong at this resort.

Fantastic Trip

This was our second time returning to the grand. Last year for our honeymoon and this year for our 1 year. The hotel is amazing- food and drinks are fantastic and most important the staff is the best. They go out of thier way to make sure your stay is grand. We are scared to go anywhere else because our expectations are so high now.

Unbelievable Service, Food & Amenities!!

Loved this place, service was absolutely incredible and we felt like Royalty our entire stay. Food was AMAZING - though our favourite was probably a tie between the Surf & Turf and Japanese A-La-Cartes. Beach was ok but pools made up for anything lacking in the sand department. We will be back!

5th Time in Jamaica - Best Resort Yet

Postive notes: Resort is more beautiful than online pics. Very short walk from room to buffet, beach or pools. Lots of straw umbrellas and chairs. Food was amazing, fresh and large selection. Lunch BBQ on the beach and evening pirate party on the beach with live band was fun. Buffet and A La carte restaurants - delicious (especially surf and turf). Staff very friendly. Butler and Concierge will do all they can to help you day or night. Needed in room breakfast because of early ck-out at 4:30 am  [... read more]and butler arranged it. Wifi was great. There were weddings almost every day. Lots of activities planned each day but no pressure to join. Hired a cab thru Sunwing Rep to spend day in Negril, Rick's cafe, shopping. Driver Ransford Samuels (nice guy) stayed w us all day - good value and learned lots about Jamaica and their way of life. Small Downside: Smelly stuff comes out of black pipe on beach (not sure what that was). Bring boat shoes if your feet are sensitive - there are lots of small rocks on the way into the sea. I slipped and fell very hard on a cement square with a manhole cover in beach area because I did not see it. It was the color of the sand and the sand made the sloped sides as slippery as ice. I told the front desk, the concierge and so on and nothing was done to either paint it or put something on it like a plant or table so people won't walk on it. I would recommend they replace the carpets in the hall ways. It is a humid climate and the humidity makes them smell.

Fabulous resort

The service was fantastic with staff replenishing our bar and refreshing our room regularly. The resort facilities and our room was fabulous with very updated and luxurious facilities. The location was close to the airport. The view was amazing with ocean view from many of the rooms. It was a fabulous and relaxing stay and I would recommend to anyone!!!

Always a perfect vacation!

We have just returned from our amazing vacation, celebrating with our daughters. It could not have been more perfect. This was our 3rd visit at this beautiful property, and it never disappoints! We had requested an upgrade to ocean front, and when we arrived, we were thrilled to enter our rooms, right on the beach, quiet, large, super comfy beds, our butler Duran was so helpful, always smiling, and always available to take care of us. We came back one night, and they had decorated our rooms, bathtub filled with bubbles, champagne chilling, rose petals everywhere, towel sculptures and balloons, in celebration of our daughters birthdays, and our anniversary. It was gorgeous! We return to the Grand for the fact that it truly is grand! This property is spotless, the pool is beautiful, the washrooms immaculate, the grounds always being tended to, the beach so clean, and wonderful to walk, totally decadent in every way. And the best part, ADULTS ONLY! We love our girls, but we travel for this pampering, and relaxation, and they serve it up on a silver platter! The staff........truly sensational, always smiling, so helpful, and boundless energy! From the Star Friends, to the restaurants, to the front lobby, the pool, the grounds, the bars, they go above and beyond to make sure that you are always happy and taken care of. The food was exceptional, always beautifully presented, wonderful varieties at every meal, and the staff always professional, making you feel very special at all times. We have travelled over 16 times to many places in the Caribbean, Jamaica is our favourite, the people are so welcoming and engaging. We return to the Grand as it truly is outstanding, and is the total package, and we know that it will be a truly amazing vacation, and we have never been disappointed!! Worth every penny! Absolutely Amazing Resort

This resort was amazing. The employees treat you like royality and family . The resort is absolutely gorgeous and impeccably clean. The food was fabulous. There is always something to do or just sit back and relax.

An Amazing Resort

Everyhing was great! Staff was very friendly, food amazing and the grounds and room were very clean. Will be visiting again. Great beach area too. The resort was full but you did not feel crowded. Lots of activities to get involved with if you wanted to.

This is an amazing resort. Very clean, staff so friendly, helpful. Food is excellent. Everything one would want is available. Restaurants all fantastic! Accommodations very comfortable, clean, ocean front a must. Multiple activities during the day and evening, or just relax quietly at the beach, pools or bars. Spa, game rooms, shopping all on site. Many water activities available. Beach cleaned daily.
