A fun and friendly resort!

We came to this resort for a family wedding. The wait staff for the dinner and reception April 18 were wonderful. It was Anita and another great young man,whose name I forgot, who helped keep the fun going. Our room was large with a balcony we enjoyed ,that looked over a wooded area. The rooms were well kept and the mini fridge restocked daily. We enjoyed the friendly staff and their helpfulness. Samuel the bartender was great as well as the bike tour guy and the concierge . The atm [... read more]osphere was relaxed and they were always accomadating at restaurants to put tables together. Also thanks to Edwin at the Mexican restaurant for making a family birthday special. It was a good holiday!

Fabulous trip

The resort is very large, clean and beautiful. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and included a great variety both in the buffet and st the a la cart restaurants. The beach was gorgeous and the wedding venue was amazing.

Great resort

The Grand Sirenis was a good time. Very clean hotel and we enjoyed our stay. The spa is fantastic!!!! The service was solid but not great (as in I've had much more personal service at other resorts). I think they were very focussed on providing service to their new members club and therefore wanted to show the value in joining but only being so so for us regular folks. There were tons of families at this resort, so not recommended if you are looking for some quiet. The lazy river was great. Beach was good (a bit rocky walking in so watch your feet). All in all a really good time was had!

This hotel is a little outdated and could definitely use an update. I found the service to be slow at the buffets and bars. They need more than two bartenders at every bar. It was supposed to be a 4.5 - 5 star resort, but I've stayed in 4 stars that were a lot nicer. On a positive note this was my first visit to the Mayan Rivera and I loved the area.

Overall good family vacation

In general this resort met our expectations. It was clean, the staff were very friendly, and our room was plenty big for our family of five. The beds were not overly comfortable however, and the food was just acceptable

Beautiful Resort

The resort was breathtaking! Rooms were clean and above average. Food was good, lots of options; buffet, Japanese, French, Steakhouse, Brazilian, Italian, and Thai. The landscaping was lush and beautiful. Lots of pools and the lazy river was wonderful. The beach was my least favourite. The entertainment was great, good variety. I would consider going back!

Five Star Resort

This was a beautiful spot! The grounds were well kept and the rooms were spacious and spotless! The staff were friendly and very helpful everywhere on the resort. The specialty restaurants were superb....my favourite was the Japanese...not only was the food delicious but the chef was extremely entertaining! Great Resort

Lovely, well kept, groomed grounds. The 2 pools were wonderful, especially the one with the swim (wade) up bar, as well as the fun lazy river. The resort staff are very warm, helpful and professional. There are multiple food options, all delicious and varied. I found the house wine to be of poor quality however - stick to cocktails and beer. The rooms are quite large with a spacious bathroom and balcony. Beautiful resort

Really nice looking resort, pools were great lazy river was awesome. Great service from all staff especially the entertainment staff. Rooms were very nice and pretty clean overall. Food could have been a little better.

Great resort 3rd visit

Rooms are comfortable and clean grounds are beautiful staff are friendly and always greeted us. Especially enjoyed the Spanish lessons by Rigo at the steakhouse. Resort should consider a lost and found box where small item could be recovered. I left my hat and clip on sunglasses in the buffet when I returned 5 minutes later they were gone. I am sure they would be of value to no one but me.

Great resort!!

Pools were great! Lazy river fun. Lots of places to eat and food was good. You could always find something you like. Isaac the consierge in our building was amazing!! Very helpful. All staff was great!! Would go back.

Great resort

We had a 14 night holiday beautiful resort lots of walking which we like met a lot of other Canadians, weather was perfect , food good steak house the best we did twice and Italian good. lobby bar had the friendliest bartenders and our housekeeper was excellent. Only complaint was cement buildings everything echoes doors slamming and people and the carts are noisy through the night. Amazing Week

Just returned from a week at Grand Sirenis in Riviera Maya, Mexico. My husband and I took my parents there for their very first island, all-inclusive ever! It exceeded their expectations and it also impressed me. The resort itself was extremely clean...EVERYWHERE. Rooms were very large and well taken care of. The food did not disappoint. My dad has issues with his legs, and the shuttle golf carts were always there when we needed them. A special mention to Erik at the restaurant near the pool (Brazilian a'la carte in the evening). Best trip ever !!

I have been to Mexico 9 times over the last 15 years and this trip was the best so far! The service, hospitality, food, cleanliness of everything and quality was second to none! I loved it so much I bought a travel package with Sirenis. Thank you for the experience and I will see you in the very near future!

Wonderful place

Beautiful resort, caters to all ages with loads of things to do for everyone. Food was amazing, staff were amazing. Large resort but walking distance to everything was fine with plenty of shuttles to take you to and from. Beautiful beach, we saw turtles and loads of fish. Would definitely return.

Very Nice Resort

The place was very well maintained. Always people painting and cleaning to keep up maintenance. We also received a call to ask if our room was to our satisfaction. The food was good. The restaurants book up fast so book the first day you arrive, especially the Japanese restaurant. The buffet has theme nights which was fun for the kids. We went to the shows and 75% were very good from Circus and Lion King. Great for the kids but late as they start at 9:30pm. Lizards are all over the place and in the evening coatis and raccoons and there are also Spider monkeys at certain times of the day in one part of the resort. The size of the resort is big which has its ups and downs. Ultimately we would go back.

Incredible resort

We just arrived home from 7 days and this was our first all inclusive, it exceeded our expectations by far. Very clean, excellent food, entertainment, 7 days of no rain and perfect weather and the people were just amazing, would go back in a heartbeat!

Tranquil,safe and oh ya beautiful

personally, I am not a big fan of resorts.. But this one gets a gold star! Excursions were out of this world..Our pick ups were on time and people were very nice. Staff at the resort are polite and always smile. Food was OUTSTANDING, whether it be at the buffet or fresh meat and fish be barbequed on the beach.. Yes on the beach. The resort spans alot of land so you can go for walks everyday. It is also clean. Cant say enough.. I would %100 go back. Think that says it all.

Loved this hotel

We have been to Mayan Riviera 5 times and this is by far our favourite resort. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The grounds, rooms and restaurants were always clean and beautifully maintained. The pools & pool areas were always clean and bar service was excellent. Our family loved the lazy river and our time at the beach. We found it safe for everyone. Please remember water shoes as certain spots are a little rocky. Our children (6 and 8) really enjoyed their time there and we had absolute confidence in the staff to care for our grandchildren. My only complaint was I felt the food at the a la carte restaurant (Steak House and Brazilian) were disappointing compared to other hotels we have been to. The service was OK however we all felt very rushed through our meal. We did dine at the Japanese restaurant on our last night & I would recommend it. The chicken and beef were delicious and the chef put on a great show. All meals at the buffet restaurant were great and the service was prompt and courteous.

Best resort we have been to.

Beautiful resort, great, attentive staff and excellent food. Our room was large, clean and comfortable for our family, 2 adults and 2 children. Many swimming options, pools, lazy river and beach. The main pool has a ramp entrance which is great for little kids. Beach is amazing and beautiful. There is a little area where you can see schools of fish! They also take the kids for lunch, ice cream, dolphin show etc. Buffets were great, excellent theme nights the steak house was disappointing, Brazilian was ok and Japanese was excellent. This is a large resort with lots of walking, I didn't mind but my husband did. There are shuttles you can catch to cut down on the walk. We did the afternoon bike tour which is a must. You learn so much about the resort, it has 2 cenotes. An easy ride and very interesting.
