Grounds are beautifully kept.lobby is empresive,bright and clean.rooms needs to be upgraded,needs fresh coat of paint although in notice they started doing that in the upper floors.theres one problem by the dining room Area,there’s offensive odor coming from underneath those counters where they displays the foods,this has to be addressed.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Great Resort

Loved this resort. Food was plentiful and good. Our room was great, situated right by the pool. Our butler Rolando was awesome. He made himself available all day and would check to see how our day was going. Very professional with an amazing personality. He would make sure our dinner reservations were set and if we needed towels or anything regarding the room, he was on it. Would definitely love to have him as our butler again. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Hard to Review

In light of what is happing to Cuba it's hard to give a negative review. However, They only cleaned my room once in 8 days. I left money and a gift for the Maid and asked for some water. But she never came back. My sink was plugged the whole time so I scooped it out with a cup and into the toilet each day. Other issues too but what's the sense. My biggest anger was with the stupid Government. I quit smoking a year ago after 50 years smoking. I used a Vape to get me by. Got to Cuba and they took  [... read more]my Vapes, not allowed in Cuba. Now, holy shit, here I'm on holidays, sit at the beach and have a drink, relax, and puff on my Vape. Now what, illusions all gone. I'm very mad at myself but I did go buy cigarettes to try and enjoy my trip. II they don't allow the sale of e-cigarettes that's their choice, but they should leave Tourists alone. Been to Cuba many times but my Family and friends will never be going again because of this. Spoke to several others in the same situation and they also said never go back again. Cuba has enough problems without stupid rules that make tourist stay away.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Beautiful resort

All staff work very hard to please all patrons. Service is impeccable. Staff friendly and helpful. Grounds and pools are well kept. Staff always willing to find a lounge chair for us on beach or pool. Entertainment staff are very energetic and enthusiastic and work very hard to include and convince patrons to participate..Food was plentiful and tasty.. Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Amazing Resort

As a group of 8 we truly enjoyed ourselves! The food was good (we don't go for the food) The staff we so outgoing and helpful. We had an excellent experience at the Japanese a'lacarte! Some others we hit or miss. We were treated like royalty. We did upgrade to the Sanctuary (premium side) The resort is fairly big however they had the staff and amenities to cover. Melia Internacional: Great resort

The resort was nice but as with many hotels in Cuba the rooms could use some upgrading however the beds were comfortable. Food at the buffets and Ala carts were very good. Very good variety of food and drinks. Entertainment was very good as well.

Vila Gale Cayo Paredon: Good resort

The people were amazing, the buffet was great, the rooms are spacious not enough hangers and no cola or beer in fridge. Our maid was awesome. The lobby chairs not comfortable, I have bad back and difficult to sit in them for very long. The beach and pool were great! I will definitely be coming back!

Vila Gale Cayo Paredon: Amazing Resort

This resort is amazing! The buffet is great! The rooms are spacious but not enough hangers got only 3 hangers for 2 people for 2 weeks! The people were amazing. The beach and pool were also great! The only thing was the lobby chairs are not very comfortable especially for elder people or anyone with back issues. We will definitely be coming back!

Sanctuary White Sands: Nice resort

The resort was nice. Food was good but repetitive and service was less then satisfactory compared to previous trip to other areas of Cuba! Pool and beach were nice but weather wasn't great. Windy and cool but sunny

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Great resort!

The grounds boasted wonderfully green borders, trees, shrubs and flowering plants, even in February, and the groundskeepees kept our surroundings immaculate. The architecture was beautiful and the grounds were well planned and lovely to stroll, and the pool was very large and accommodating. We walked the beaches and soon discovered that this Iberostar had the most beautiful sand along this stretch of the penninsula; we called velvet as it was so smooth and silky. And, there was NO loud blari [... read more]ng music on the beach, which was such such a blessing. We could just enjoy the sound of the waves, soak up the sun, read....and just relax! And the staff were absolutely fabulous!! Friendly, helpful and gracious, which was utterly amazing considering that the Feb 2026 fuel embargo has ruined their immediate future for tourism. They were stalwart and smiling despite the threat. We had a lovely holiday at the Iberostar Prigin Playa Alameda and heartily recommend it to those who would like to relax and enjoy their all inclusive beach vacation in Cuba.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Repeat resort for so many reasons and for you to discover!

Well I can certainly understand why this resort was named Paradisus. It is indeed a tropical paradise! The grounds are beautifully landscaped, showcasing nature at it's best! When you arrive at the front of the resort on the Royal Service side, you will be in awe of the spectacular view of the ocean amidst the lush vegetation and coral rock. The walking paths very pleasant to wander on. You could stroll through the Botanical Garden or take a guided walk accross the bridge to visit an ecological [... read more] reserve.The staff on both sides, Royal service and standard service were very friendly, professionnal and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed all À la carte restaurents. The food was delicious and masterly presented! We never had any food shortages at the buffet on the standard side. There were however no bananas and pineapple when we were there due to Hurricane Melissa that destroyed many plantations. However, plenty of fresh papaya, guava, watermelon, sweet potato, pumpkin and different fresh juice such as mango and many, many fresh pastries and ice cream for you to enjoy! There were however a few minor hiccups. The check in was a litttle confusing. Upon arrival from the airport, we waited for 30 minutes in the main lobby before speaking with the frontdesk and there was only a handful of us getting off the bus. After 15 minutes of speaking with the front clerk, she told us that we would get a shuttle to the royal service side. We waited another 10-15 minutes for our shuttle and upon arrival to the Royal side, waited a little longer. By that time, we were famished and tired. I don't know why, we were not asked as soon as we got off the bus, what service we had reserved and then go from there? The service provided after that was exceptional! The rooms on the Royal service side were very spacious. We were in the last building 9400. This building is just across from the path that leads to the private Royal Service Beach. If you want to get your 10 000 daily steps in, this is the building to be in. It is a little further away from the lobby, however there is a shuttle that you can request from your butler at any time to pick you up and drive you to your desired location. The outside shower was quite pleasant and it had a strong flow. However, when there was a downpour, we had to be mindful of the leaking bathroom window; for the bathroom floor would flood and it could get slippery especially during those nightly bathroom visits. The entertainment was top notch! We saw and heard opera singers, other talented singers, musicians and magic acts. The beach club staff was amazing, always wanting you to try something new: darts, learning spanish, dancing, history, tours around the resort, yoga, pickle ball, tennis.... We love visiting Cuba for the people, their culture and the beaches! We have met many return visitors at this resort and I can honestly say that I understand why!

Hotel Los Cactus: The friendliest staff!

I love the feeling at this resort! It’s smaller and a little older than most, but the grounds are nicely taken care of by the friendly grounds keepers, who are always quick with a greeting and sometimes a flower! The staff in the restaurant are very helpful, Maurice is super friendly and quick to get us to our table and the two young men in our section were very attentive and charming.

Friendly people, dated but very comfortable villas. Loved the private hot tub with ocean view. Pool clean Recreation games fun Entertainment satisfactory Chambermaids excellent Frig filled daily with drinking water , pop & beer Excellent bar service. Bar tender makes a fantastic mojito

The Staff at Laguna Azul is fantastic. Friendly, caring, beautiful people. The food is getting even better with beautiful presentation. And no lack of food, water or electricity. Selection of alcohol seems to have gotten wider. Lots of variety with more recognizable brands. The Management is always looking to offer special entertainment such as the Super Bowl party, Valentines Day Dinners, bringing in the bikes and the classic 50s cars, etc Shoutout to Jose and Yarianny who were both on holidays our latest visit. 2 really great Staff members. Always a pleasure to see Maria, Pavel, Yosniel, Dania, Mady, Andy, Ari, Dido, Leodan, Umberto, Tatianna, and many of the others we have met. For a quieter holiday, upgrade to the relax. This gets access to the Relax pool and Relax lunch, which is more of an a la carte. The pool view is just plain beautiful and definitely go up to the Spa or Gym area for great views. Oceanview walk on the treadmill if its your thing.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Just a little tired

The hotel is around 30 years old and is starting to show its age. We were there for two weeks and enjoyed our stay. Typical Cuba the food was sufficient but very repetitive with shortages starting to show, they ran out of white wine, Gin, Cola, coffee was Spanish not Cuban. We had to be moved from the first room they put us in on the royal side (7136) block as nothing worked, hair dryer, lights and plugs, the furniture was really beaten up and the view was of nothing! They moved us to 7242 wi [... read more]th a view of the pool which was better but still furniture was well worn or broken, some plugs worked, patio doors were damaged and didn't lock. The bed was comfortable and linens clean. The shower preasure was low and some days no hot water to shower in. The last day there we woke up to water pouring in around a ceiling light due to roof leaking. The grounds are very well kept and looks good but you start to see the flaws in the resort on the first day in. I'm sure there are worse resorts in varadero and unfortunately for the shortages we wouldn't stay there again. We love Cuba and have been there 9 times and love it. Shame it's being targeted by the Trump regime.

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Nice Resort

If you are a beach person this is not the resort for you. Beach is very short and rocky. Everything else is 4 stars. Music can be a little to loud at times. Food at the buffets can be repetitive but still very good.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great resort

We hope to return next year our time at the resort was great our room was out date but we want to.stay on the same floor next year in.3260.the food we rate 10 star for all the time we eat in buffet and the la carte The weather wasn't great of all the time we had 5 days of good weather that hasn't nothing do for the resort faults the workers were so helpful and friendly we felt so sad for all the workers that have no job they work so hard
